• Angela (10/5): Wundervolles Boutique-Hotel mit viel Liebe zum Detail und großem Garten - Wir haben zehn wunderschöne Tage in diesem charmanten Boutique-Hotel verbracht und uns vom ersten Moment an sehr wohlgefühlt. Die strandnahe Lage ist perfekt, der große und sehr gepflegte Garten lädt zum Entspannen ein und das gesamte Personal war immer ausgesprochen freundlich und zuvorkommend. Ein besonderer Ort mit viel Atmosphäre, den wir jederzeit wieder besuchen würden. Nichts, es war alles sehr schön.

Dinesh was there every morning to greet his guests and give information, organised a river safari for us, with a great guide. • Claire (10/5): Amazing!! - We had an amazing stay in this little hotel in Bentota just across the road from the most beautiful clean sandy and safe beach. Everybody at Rockery Villa made our stay a lovely experience, from the welcome at breakfast and help in the evening arranging tuk tuks and recommending places to eat. We did a wonderful boat safari that was organised by Dinesh, a great experience. The pool was a real bonus, beautiful surroundings and everywhere spotlessly clean, I can’t recommend this place enough. Nothing!

Amazing pool with loungers and pool towels provided The motto ‘arrive as friends and leave as family’ is very accurate ; we were treated so well during our 5 night stay by Dinesh and his team we really felt sad to move on. Nothing is too much trouble- Dinesh will arrange trips and travel for you and the team will cook delicious dinners to your choice. Nothing not to like!!
• Alina (10/5): O locatie de vis, administrata de oameni minunati! - Vila este superba, frumos construita, gradina si piscina sunt bine intretinute. Camera a fost foarte spatioasa, la fel si baia, dotate cu tot ce aveam nevoie. Curatenia exceptionala! De pe balcon am putut observa maimute, bufnite si veverite, vila situandu-se intr-o zona bogata in vegetatie. Personalul este exceptional, am ajuns cu carutul copilului rupt din avion, unul din angajati ni l-a reparat, ii multumim inca o data! Patronul, Dinesh s-a asigurat permanent ca avem tot ce ne trebuie. In prima dimineata am observat ca nu au scaun de bebe pentru luat masa iar a 2a zi a cumparat unul pentru noi. Tot prin intermediul lui, am facut o excursie cu un domn ghid foarte prietenos care ne-a aratat imprejurimile. Micul dejun este gustos dar ar putea fi putin mai bogat, de exemplu de adaugat branza si rosii/ castraveti la oua. Recomand cu drag aceasta locatie!😍 Mobila este de foarte buna calitate, din lemn masiv insa patul scartaia la asezare/ ridicare. Salteaua in schimb este grozava😀

• Maximilian (8/5): Gutes Hotel, Nähe Strand und ruhig. - Sehr nettes Personal und allgemein angenehme Atmosphäre. Es war ruhig und alles war soweit sehr sauber und gepflegt. Also an sich wenn diese Sachen wichtig für einen sind, kann ich das Hotel empfehlen! Man könnte noch auf die Matratzen einen Topper packen und im Badezimmer noch etwas schöner -Stichwort Klo + Deckel - machen und Fugen und Dichtung sauberer halten/neu machen. Sonst war alles gut

• Olga (10/5): - Der Hotelbesitzer Dinesh und sein Team (Sehan, Ranga, Chandana und andere) sind sehr freundlich, akkurat, hilfsbereit und sprechen sehr gut Englisch und Ranga sogar Deutsch. Wir haben uns vertan und bei einem Schwester-Hotel angereist. Das Hotelteam hat uns sehr gut geholfen und uns dort abgeholt. Uns hat alles sehr gut gefallen: sehr großes sauberes Bett, köstliche Gerichte und Getränke, blitzsauberes Badezimmer, sehr neuwertiges frisch renoviertes Hotelgebäude, Pool und einladender Garten. Der wunderschöner Strand ist in nur 8 Gehminuten zu erreichen. Wir haben sri-lankusches Frühstück gewählt und es hat uns prima geschmeckt. Sehr empfehlenswerte Unterkunft! Wir kommen gerne wieder. Wir haben keine Ayurveda- oder Massage - Angebote bekommen. Aber wir waren nur zwei Nächte da.

• Marc (10/5): Un régal pour les yeux et les papilles. - Le cadre verdoyant et très calme. On peut se reposer sur une chaise longue au bord de la piscine sans bruit. La chambre est spacieuse et très propre, avec moustiquaire, télévision et frigidaire (plutôt rare dans nos déplacements), ainsi qu'un grand balcon aménagé avec table et chaises, face à la piscine qui est très bien entretenue et ensoleillée, et éclairée la nuit. Le matin on a pu voir des singes noirs se balader au loin, sautant de branches en branches. Le gros plus c'est le chef cuisinier. Quel que soit le plat que vous prendrez ce sera un délice. Nous avons pris un poisson grillé d'un kg cuit à la perfection accompagné d'une salade de légumes frais finement coupée et assaisonnée et d'un riz au légumes, l'un des meilleurs que nous ayons dégusté. Le petit déjeuner sri lankais est excellent et gargantuesque et pour le petit déjeuner continental nous vous conseillons de prendre l'omelette avec ces petits légumes et finement épicée. Un régal. Tout ceci avec un service irréprochable. Sans bien sûr parler de l'accueil très chaleureux. Rien.

The housekeeper speaks good English and he shared lots of useful information about the area, as well as the life of a typical srilankan people. • Kabir (9/5): - Very friendly and accommodating guys! Had a very pleasant stay. Came during off season, so there was no food because kitchen staff was away. So keep that in mind if you are also travelling during off season. The stay was very reasonable in terms of price.

• Guyroma (8/5): Beautiful property, lovely food, attention to detail welcomed - - Jeffrey (or Geoffrey?) and his wife were absolutely wonderful in providing our breakfast and our dinner. Nothing was too much for them and they always would ask what we wanted for our meals. The meals were healthy, tasty, nicely presented and plentiful (no buffet due to the very low occupation rate, but that was definitely ok) - The Ayurveda treatments were really thorough and helped us be refreshed. - We were the only guests in the hotel for most of our stay, so there were no lines, and we thought it would be a more personalised service, which was definitely the case for the meals. - The family of langur monkeys, who were going about their own business in the area next to the hotel, but it was nice to see them jumping from tree to tree, with some newly born ones too. Also quite a lot of different fauna, such as a giant bat, different birds and so on. - Our room was only cleaned 1 time during our 4 night stay. That was surprising to us, especially because booking.com mentions "daily housekeeping" - Of the 9 rooms, we were "lucky" enough to get 1 of the 2 rooms that had a big tree in front of, limiting our view of the swimming pool. The other 7 rooms offered full pool view... and we were the only guests in the hotel. - The Ayurveda doctor did not show up a single time as scheduled. She was always late (1 day did not show up at all, so her assistant had to do both our treatments). - Unlucky location of the TV, as it is located in the corner of the room...having a 4-poster bed does not make watching TV very comfortable. Would have been better to have the TV in the middle of the wall in front of the 4-poster bed.

A short walk to the lovely beach nearby and to neighbouring restaurants and set back from the road so very tranquil. Sanjee was an excellent host and knowledgeable about the local area.Geoffrey and his wife served a delicious breakfast every morning - fresh fruit platter, fruit juice, eggs of choice, toast and tea. The swimming pool was a good size for swimming and very clean and the pool area was lovely for relaxing. Would highly recommend - one of the best places we stayed in Sri Lanka.

The manager Sanjeewa and his staff were very attentive to every detail and request. Jeffery was always on hand and nothing was too much trouble. The accommodation was to a higher standard than we expected for such a reasonable price. The rooms were spacious, clean, air conditioned with good facilities. Pool was clean and there was enough sun beds for our group of 8. The menu was good, food was freshly prepared and really tasty. We had a fabulous couple of days and won’t hesitate to come back on our next visit. Nothing, everything was great !

• Stas (10/5): very enjoyable and pleasant stay - Let’s start with acknowledging the fact Sri Lankan’s climate is challenging for property owners. Combination of enormous humidity and high temperatures creates perfect conditions for mold growth and rust. Our hotel did great here with rooms and toilets being clean, sheets being fresh and pleasant to the touch, large comfortable beds and nice swimming pool. Everything according to the description from the booking.com We took some ayurveda treatments and these proved to be remarkable. The doctor not only served great massage, but also provided recommendations and some magic potion which hopefully cuts some age :-) Skipping ayurveda part would have been a huge mistake! Then food. Breakfasts were the best we had in Sri Lanka. Fresh fruits, omelettes, sousages - all served at the large, pleasant veranda with garden view. We also had dinner and that exceeded our expectations. Definitely best springrols on the island. Juicy, fresh red snapper, not to forget various types of rice and curry. In Bentota one gets excellent clean beaches. it is 500m from the hotel, really easy walk. if really lazy tuk-tuks are everywhere and would cost like nothing. And last but not least. The level of helpfulness of the staff was above the limit. Manager helped us with building our trip across the island, organized bus with the driver for our group and helped with finding and booking hotels on our trip. All the prices he got for us were better than the ones from the app! amazing experience! Having said that- great value for money, perfect to start your Sri Lankan’s adventure.

• Ruth (9/5): Calm and tranquil. An attentive and caring host set in a beautiful garden with pool - A beautiful property with only 9 rooms. The new manager Sanjee was warm and welcoming. This is an oasis of calm. The rooms with balconies overlook beautiful pool surrounded by trees. With an Ayurvedic treatment room with two Drs on hand for all your needs. I wish we could have stayed longer to experience more treatments.
• Veronica (8/5): Very good - Rockery Villa is located in a great location, walking distance to the beach and only 5min tuk tuk to the city of Bentota. The room and the bathroom are of a good size and clean, great idea to have a small fridge to keep your water cold! Very nice also the balcony facing the pool: on my arrival I spotted some monkeys going from trees to trees around the property. The swimming pool is nice and loungers are provided. I also had a lovely Ayurvedic massage. Breakfast was great, typical sri lanka food with lots of fruit. The staff was very kind, friendly and helpful. I would also suggest to have a kettle in the room with tea/coffee.

• Drahomira (10/5): You come to this place as guest and you leave as family - I have stayed in the Rockery Villa for 19 nights with Ayurveda treatment. I must say that it was my 5th stay at Sri Lanka and this stay was the best. Hotel represent good quality for price. It was clean and staff was all the time very helpful. Hotel is situated near the beach which you can reach by foot within 800 m. You can use nice and clean swimming pool. All property is well kept. You have good wifi to your disposal. Owner Dinesh is very nice man and can help with transport and trips. Ayurveda doctor Chamari is excellent and she worked out for me whole ayurweda program. I was very satisfied with her individual and warm approach. I will recommend her all the time. After the treatment I felt like new person.
• Alex (7/5): Relaxing ayurvedic massages and a comfortable stay - We made a pit stop at Rockery Villas the night before we flew home and were greeted with a nice juice on arrival. The hotel was very quiet - it was getting towards the end of the season and we didn't see any other guests around. Our room was perfectly comfortable and we couldn't make any complaints. There was a large swimming pool which was nice to get into after a couple of hours travelling. It took around 10mins to walk down to the lovely Bentota beach. The highlight of our brief stay was having a lovely Ayurvedic massage at Dr Chami's on site clinic - she was a very sweet lady and gave very good massages.

Airport pickup was great, and greeted with fresh flower lei which was such a nice touch! Showers didn’t drain very well in a couple of rooms, but not such a big issue we felt like it needed to be mentioned. Generally clean bedrooms but towels and bedsheets could be even better kept. Very minor notes, nothing to write home about!

They were not only friendly and accommodating but went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and memorable. The facilities provided were good, meeting our expectations. The cleanliness throughout the property was impeccable, contributing to an overall pleasant atmosphere. Our rooms were not only clean but also incredibly comfortable, with the beds offering a great night's sleep. In terms of value for money, Rockery Villa Ayurveda exceeded our expectations. The pricing was reasonable considering the excellent staff, facilities, and overall experience provided. The location of the villa was excellent, offering a peaceful retreat yet conveniently situated. The pool was nicely maintained, providing a refreshing break during our stay. The breakfast options were diverse, allowing us to choose between English and Sri Lankan Breakfast. We opted for the Sri Lankan Breakfast, where we could select two items from a delightful array, including Pol Roti, Stringhoppers, and Kiri buth. The spacious bathrooms and the addition of a balcony were thoughtful touches that added to the overall comfort of our stay. However, a suggestion would be to include an electric kettle in the rooms to allow guests to easily boil water for tea or coffee. In conclusion, our stay at Rockery Villa Ayurveda was truly enjoyable, thanks to the excellent staff, comfortable facilities, cleanliness, and great value for money. We would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing and rejuvenating getaway. They could have an electric kettle to boil water and make some tea or coffee.

• Nikolai (7/5): Good - good location for my stay. staff members were friendly. ac worked really well. some lights were not working in the room (the trip switch kept going off). they didn’t have a card machine on site and I had to visit the closest atm to withdraw money and then pay for my stay.

• Stephen (8/5): Nice hotel with a pool walking distance to beach. - Very good hotel, but they didn't have a room for us when we arrived, despite our having prepaid for it months in advance. Management dealt with it well by sending us to another hotel for one night. So, apart from causing us some anxiety, it was only a small glitch.. It's not in the center of things, but everything you'd wand to do is within a short, cheap tuk-tuk ride. Management is very helpful arranging these, and anything else you need.

We ate in the villas two nights and the food was delicious, freshly sourced and prepared. A lovely member of staff came to our door each evening to show us the special dish of fish and to ask if we would like to order. A great service! The pool was also really lovely.
