He was very helpful and communicated well with what I needed it. He is greatly appreciated. It was easy to find the location of the elevators and the other facilities in the hotel because they were labeled. My husband didn’t like that the mattress in the bed was firm, and the pillows were too soft. Everything was good to me.
- 595gaylad (6/5): Not Typical Hilton Quality - NOT HILTON QUALITY There were several issues with our room on the 9th floor. The hall carpet is new and smelled strong but that's normal these days unfortunately. The bathroom door is too big for the small bathroom. The toilet is too low. The TV really sucked because we rented a movie on my YouTube but there's a device on their TV to prevent guests from watching movies unless purchased from the hotel. 🙄 The fridge wasn't adjustable and I was concerned about steak leftovers. More pillows and bigger ones!!! The views were epic of Roanoke. The bed was comfy. Dedrei was really nice at the front desk.

The front desk staff was always helpful and made us feel welcome. The cleaning staff was happy and fun to talk to besides doing a great job. All and all a great experience.

Upon our arrival we reported the tv could not connect to the internet. A very nice person came to fix it and replaced the batteries in the remote. We told him it was the internet connection. He didn't fix it. The next morning we reported again and left for the day. When we tried to connect to Netflix that night, message said it couldn't connect to internet. We reported again. The same person came again and still couldn't fix it. When we checked out I again said the streaming function never worked. She handed me her manager's card.

Customer Service from front desk does really need improvement as the staff doesn't have any idea about Customer Service, -First Case: when I just arrived and started to do my check-in , a delivery man arrived and without any warning the front desk staff just left the counter to check the delivery.... At least she should have said "Sorry Sir, give me a minute I will be back to you...." but not a word .... Then the staff encountered an issue with my Bank Card saying my card was declined I shoul check with my bank and insisting me calling my bank ... My bank is in France and to call an advisor at around midnight it is impossible, We tried another card it was declined as well .... I insisted I just check-out from Hampton Inn the same morning and no problem with Card Payment.... I finally advised the staff to use the bank terminal and then it works....Hurray!!! -Second Case: I went to request some help with my Room Card but as soon as I approach the counter the staff shouted an unpleasant "Yes Sir" and I was feeling I was back in the Army 30 years ago.... I'm so used to travel in Asia where the staff will have greet me nicely with a "Good evening sir, how may I help you ?" with a gentle tone.... Her tone was so loud that I cannot refrain myself to let her know we are in an hotel and not in the Army barracks.... -Third case, the day before my departure I approach the front desk staff and informed I will check-out early the following day and I will need a taxi going from Hampton Inn till the train station, I knew the distance was short but we had 7 luggages with my daughter and we needed a taxi. Staff told me no worry we will call a taxi tomorrow morning for you and there is 24h staff at Front Desk. The day after at 05h30 am Front desk staff was here (I got nice greetings this time) and I requested a taxi but despite the staff calling for taxi, he was always transfer to auto-message device.

- andrewcI834ZF (2/5): Dismissive Phone Service and Lack of Honesty - I am extremely disappointed with the customer service at this location. After checking out, I realized I had forgotten my steamer in the room. A few hours later I called to ask if it was found, and was told that housekeeping was “very busy” and to leave my name and number for a call back. That call never came. After waiting five days, I called again and received the exact same response — housekeeping was “too busy” and I should just leave my information. When I explained that I had already waited days with no response and was willing to hold for a quick answer, the front desk staff refused and gave me attitude, making it clear she felt inconvenienced just speaking with me. Only after I pressed further and mentioned I’d send someone in person did she suddenly “run into housekeeping in the hall” and called me back minutes later to say the steamer wasn’t there. The item was left out in plain sight, and it’s hard not to feel that it was either stolen or never properly checked into lost and found. Between the rude, dismissive phone service and the lack of honesty or accountability over a clearly left-behind item, this has been a very disappointing experience. I expected much better from Hampton Inn & Suites.

Then leaving we were stuck on a broken elevator for an hour. I will say the staff was awesome that got us out of there. We are so grateful to each of them. I live in Roanoke and my friend was in from out of town. I wanted to treat her to a special stay while she was here. It was between Hotel Roanoke or Hampton Inn. I wish now I would have picked Hotel Roanoke because of the amenities. The room at Hotel Roanoke was not much more than Hampton Inn either.
