Guest Reviews
- Elizabeth (10/5): - Breakfast was weak
- Andrew (2/5): - Rooms smells bad, water leaked. Doors hardly locked
- Leigh Ann (6/5): - Pros: The staff we did encounter after check in was extremely friendly. The location is excellent and is close to both popular fast food and quaint local dining establishments
Cons: I don't think the toilet was cleaned. There were stains on the bedspread and on the white towels. Breakfast was advertised as being included, but when we walked through at 7:45 a.m., there was no coffee or any indication that "serve yourself breakfast" was available. Staff was nowhere around to advise.
- Susan (8/5): Hiking - Greatly appreciate the cleaning between nights
- Kimberly (2/5): - Outdated and not well kept
- Matthew (10/5): - This is the place to stay in Medford if you are going to the Great Northern Side by side shoot. Staff is great and the rooms are very nice.
- James & Beverly (6/5): - Bed was extremely uncomfortable, and air conditioner so noisy that it interrupted sleep.
- Jaclyn (10/5): - Quick check in. We felt safe. Easy check out.
- Jason (2/5): - Need to update, very unsafe when you get a key that opens every room in the building.
- Jessica (8/5): - Rooms were fine. Breakfast was lacking but ok.
- Sara (4/5): No thank you - Stayed 2 nights on business. Young man at front desk is super nice. BUT..Twice in one day, housekeeping would knock on the door and enter with their keys if you didn't answer the door in time, then act surprised like you weren't supposed to be in the room, trying to ask in English if you need fresh towels.
At 7:23pm...I'm in the bath tub. Housekeeping is knocking again! I answer the door in my towel just before she lets herself in! She says ..oh im sorry, I'm sorry, like she was surprised that I was in my room. I do wonder if she entered my room when I wasn't here all day. Im glad to check out in the morning and I will not stay here again.
*Important side note morning I checked out:
The "guest services" book, usually sitting out on a desk outlining hours, policies, area dining, etc., was located in the bedside table drawer. I never look in the drawers. That's where it mentions, we should put out the "Do not disturb" sign on the door if we don't want housekeeping. REALLY!!??
- bradley (2/5): - The staff followed me around and spied on us after check in. Staff member pretended to clean a sink in a room across from mine while looking around the door frame to our room. I canceled the rest of my days and spent the next hour and a half waiting for a refund to be started while he was being rude to the expedia employee. Never stay here
- Julie (10/5): - Easy location
- ken (4/5): - Overcharged Expedia quote
Bathtub dripped all night. Impossible to contact by telephone. Must be using a service. Contact for new reservation only
- Joshua (10/5): Ny Medford, WI Go to Stay - A great one night stay from visiting family with my boyfriend. Second time we booked with them. Very clean rooms. Sure hed could be more comfortable and could have a little more breakfast items but overall a great stay.
- al (8/5): - We stayed for two nights. We found old French frys Under the bed. They don't have a lot of choices for breakfast, but we loved they did fresh hard boiled eggs. But once they are gone they don't, add more even if ask.they are great at refilli the cofffe.. The do great room service.they cleaned our room great. They just recently purchased the place and slowly are doing up grades. I would recommend them as it was a great place for a good price.
- Megan (8/5): - Great room for a quick overnight stay. Comfortable room and just the right amenities.
- Julia (10/5): - Excellent location for a local marathon
- Robert (4/5): - poor breakfast offerings weak coffee. beds were fine except for bedings. Bathrooms not the best. Thin walls
- Brian (6/5): - Uncomfortable bed, very hard. Noisy, could hear people next door that were speaking in normal tone of voice. Breakfast lacking, orange juice didn't taste like orange juice. Lacking for the price we paid per night.
- Katherine (6/5): - Hotel was clean, staff was friendly and an very accessible area. Sofa bed was so uncomfortable my daughter had to sleep on the couch. Our bed was sleep able but really needs a new mattress. Reservation was made for 3 adults but we were left with only two towels. Heat was OFF when we arrived and the room was FREEZING cold!!!
- Troy (8/5): Staff were the highlight! - The quality of the customer service and staff was genuine and kind!
- Adam (10/5): - Clean. Friendly staff
- Kelli (6/5): - Breakfast was torn down early, place is outdated and rooms were very hot.
- Pauline (8/5): - Horrible pillows!
- MENOS (10/5): - The room had black out curtains, which was nice considering that it’s in a busy area of town
- John (2/5): - We left our room and when we came back the bathroom floor and shower were wet as if someone showered while we were gone. We found dirty diapers and empty beer cans under our beds.
- Jamie (2/5): - It seemed shady and had no heat in our room stayed 30 mins and found different hotel.
- WENDY (4/5): - The beds are very old. The mattresses are super stained. The sheets are stained. The bed covers are stained. The pillows are all different odd shapes. The towels are tiny and you only get two little towels for two adults. The parking lot is full of snow. it’s not shoveled where a senior or somebody with disabilities could feel safe, walking through the parking lot, even though all the other parking lots around are clean You walk in and have to telephone call for a tenant to come to the front desk so there’s no one ever sitting at the front desk. Pretty sure the family lives in the hotel so you’re gonna smell all their cooking that they do for their family.
- Emily (6/5): - Beds were rock hard as well as the pillows. Easy check in and out. Rooms were pretty clean, carpet looks new. I think if it had a little update it would be a nicer little hotel. Prices are a bit high for the quality of the rooms. But overall for a one night stay it was fine.
- Heather (10/5): - This was my second stay and it was just as positive as my first stay, place is clean, rates are reasonable, staff is friendly.
- Kenneth (4/5): - Property was fine but the king bed and very small pillows were ROCK HARD!!! impossible to get a good nights sleep. .
- Wayne (8/5): - Nice place to stay. Friendly staff.
- Marla (8/5): - The hotel had everything I needed and staff was always willing to help. The parking was great I didn't need to carry or go upstairs to bring my things in. The price was what I could afford for several days.
I wish the breakfast had other options it was all carbs only (waffle, bagel, muffin, dry cereal) low on coffee. Recommend some protein.
- Trista (4/5): - Staff was amazing. Very polite.
- Brent (8/5): - Clean and quiet with a friendly staff.
- Matthew (10/5): - Very nice place we have stayed there 3 times now and every time has been wonderful
- Charles (10/5): - Lovely breakfest lounge. Nice room. Good service.
- Cheryl (8/5): - Great motel, but our bed was to hard.
- Brenda (8/5): - Older property but good enough for our needs. Limited outlets. Free breakfast was a plus.
- Sue (4/5): - Bathroom needed to be redone, lighting is dim. Found makeup on one of the pillows and the breakfast is very minimal.
- Joseph (8/5): Best option in town - My room was nice, modern and clean, bed was almost to hard and I could easily hear the folks in the next room through the wall, the lobby was neat clean and well kept, breakfast was very minimalist "continental"
All in all given the other limited choices in Medford I would stsy here again.
- carmen (8/5): - The property was ok
- Charles (10/5): - Fast check in. Wonderful location. Rooms ready when needed. Any requests taken care of immediately. Terrific light breakfast. Great coffee.
- Brett (8/5): - Nice place for a quick stay in the area. Many restaurants in the area as well.
- Daniel (10/5): Priced appropriately/Accomodating - It was fine for one night, the manager was very friendly, priced reasonably, the place seemed clean, the pillows were pretty good, accommodating to family that needed some time to catch up, could use either more or better towels, and the bed was way too hard for me. Overall...it's priced appropriately, can't complain too much!
- Janel (10/5): - Very clean, comfortable and quiet....staff was gracious and friendly as well. Great place to stay when in the area for business.
- Alexandra (2/5): - Dirty room! Lady bugs all over. Staff wasn’t wearing shoes. Beds are more than 20 years old and the thinnest blanket on bed. Rooms were so cold!
- Gregory (6/5): Okay, but NOT Great - Property has been remodeled and room was nice, however the bathroom was very aged and fixtures yellowed. The beds were the hardest most firm bed you have ever felt, not for us. Breakfast was toast and bagels, far less than we expected based off of description.
- Stuart (2/5): - It was not what we expected. Rooms Smelled and the window covering was ripped in several places.
- Mary-Elizabeth (10/5): - Property is a little dated, in a good way. Back to basics! It was clean, very close to shopping. Staff was excellent!
- EvaRose33 (10/5): Good stay - Very nice place to stay, with comfortable bed, clean and comfortable rooms, and excellent staff( I think the couple were the owners). Breakfast tan out of coffee at 0845 and I let the manager know, and in around 10 minutes there was a knock at my door. He had made a fresh pot n came down to my room to fill our cups!( who does that kind of service anymore?)
Will stay here again when back in Taylor Co.
- Alex (10/5): - They let me in early which really helped my schedule! Beyond happy with the customer service!
- Amy (8/5): I would stay here again. - Excellent service, very clean, friendly staff, simple but very good self-serve breakfast. The facility is pretty basic, but that's all I need. I would stay here again.
- Kevin (8/5): - Enjoyable stay. Will return
- kellylR4172HL (2/5): Bad place - There was a dirty tampon on floor .. blood on sheets were only one and it was mimin amount .your a horable human being and bad business owner!!!! Parking sucks !!! There is nothing there for kids ….and internet did not work half the time right . And breakfast there is no meat if any kind I seen other costomers walk out of you motel becouse of your false advertising! So please quit your lies .
- Michael (8/5): Our stay - It was fine, looks like they recently renovated some things. The room was fine, bed was comfy and the suite was roomy. The only thing is maybe a few more towels in the room and a bigger fridge (ours froze everything inside) my sons room fridge had baby food that was left from the previous occupant
- MARY (10/5): - The property owners were onsite, always available and very responsive. They were a pleasure to deal with
- Andrea (4/5): - I was very unhappy with the cleanliness of the hotel. There was a crusty white substance on my bed skirt, the comforters were stained, as were our towels, the floor was not properly cleaned, and the bathtub filled up with water while showering. I was also greeted with feces on the toilet seat when I entered the room. It was a place to stay for the weekend but I will not return.
- Barbara (6/5): - Corridor dark
- Cheryl (8/5): - While it is very basic, it was comfortable and fit our needs for the weekend. Staff is friendly and accommodating. A fresh coat of paint could work wonders and large garbage cans by all entrances would keep trash off the ground and parking lot.
- Steven (10/5): - Motel attendant was very nice and helpful. Room was very clean.
- Matthew (10/5): - Very clean and updated. Staff is very friendly and helpful. I will stay here next year for sure!!
- Stacy (6/5): - I like the convenient location to everything. We did not like the breakfast as there was only fruit, nothing else like advertised on the website. The beds were uncomfortable as well.
- Meghan (6/5): - Average hotel stay. Average breakfast. Nothing remarkable. They are quick to no show you if you are arriving after 9pm for your whole stay.
- James (6/5): - Terrible front desk guy he has no customer service skills. I travel for business and will not stay here again
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great place to stay! - Was up for a family reunion so arrived a little late. The check in was wonderful. The young man was so nice! The room was very clean and spacious and the water pressure was so good. Would stay there again.
- Margaret (10/5): - Great place
And staff!
- William (10/5): - The front desk staff was polite, efficient and helpful about the area.
The bathtube spout pull to transfer the water to the shower head only worked partially and the shower spray was weak.
- James (2/5): - Beds were not good
- suerJ5165SX (10/5): Comfortable, quiet, clean and friendly - This is an amazing place to stay. From the minute we walked in the lobby we were greeted with a friendly smile. Now, to be clear this isn't a Raddisson hotel but it will meet all your needs without the huge price tag. Beds and pillows were super comfortable, room, hallways and lobby were all very clean and it was very nice and quiet. We were very comfortable and will definitely stay there again and recommend it to anyone.
- Sue (10/5): - From check in to check out everything was amazing. It was quiet, clean and very comfortable and the continental breakfast was also very acceptable. Coffee was hot and fresh, we enjoyed out time here very much.
- Brian (10/5): Good place to stay. - Great hotel. Filled with a bunch of high school kids, but they didn't disturb us one bit. Nice hotel. Wish it had a pool, but oh well.
- Daniel (6/5): Very Dated rooms and facility - Room was clean but very dated old and not maintained.
- Eddie (6/5): - This place was clean and warm.
Staff was friendly and eager to serve.unfortunately desks light didn’t work, no coffee maker in room, and show didn’t work.
Not the best also not the worst
- Neill (4/5): - It’s a nice location for deer hunting. Room is decent. There is no hot breakfast, just old doughnuts, bagels and cold cereal.
- ernie (10/5): - very convenient
- Kenneth (10/5): - Very nice comfortable place
- Michael (8/5): - Easy to find and friendly reception at front desk
- Christopher (8/5): - Convenient location. Very friendly staff. Continental Breakfast. Refrigerator & Microwave in Room
- Richard (8/5): - Hardest mattrice I have slept on. Breakfast was very scimpy but ok.
- elizabeth (10/5): - Great location and value, plus owner, manager on site.
- James (10/5): Nice - Nice clean motel. Right off hwy 13 on the north edge of Medford. Excellent staff. I would stay here again.
- markmillieramon (8/5): North To Wisconsin - For an economical motel this place fits the bill, especially if you land a suite. Ask for the king size bed which means you score one of the two suites for the same price as the other rooms. Amazing. The suite has a loft bedroom which means tall ceilings and no one above you. Very quiet. A full bath on the first floor and an ensuite half bath in the loft is a nice feature. Bed is comfy. The loft is so high it's quite warm so blast the downstairs air conditioner and the fan they provide to cool it. Daily breakfast is basic, but the donuts are good. The place is clean and the staff friendly. Not the Ritz but for the price a good deal.
- Phil (8/5): - The place has a nice family feel, they've done alot of improvement since we were there last. I was a little hesitant about staying there again, but was pleasantly surprised.
- 173bethj (10/5): Very clean and quiet. Key amenities for workers who travel a lot. - Very very clean and safe. Friendly staff. As a woman who travels a great deal for business I notice little things like good locks and ultra clean rooms. For the style of inn, this is good value. Simple breakfast but perfect for me. Overall, great vibe.
- Jana (10/5): - It was good
- Matt (10/5): - Good classic hotel
- Kathy (8/5): - Clea, quiet and close to everything.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - MY STAY WAS ADEQUATE AND VERY SHORT...I WAS JUST THERE FOR A BED TO SLEEP IN. IT SEEMED CLEAN ENOUGH FOR MY NEEDS BUT MY ROOM DID HAVE A MUSTY SMELL AS IF POSSIBLY SOMEONE WAS SMOKING. THE AIR CONDITIONER IN THE ROOM WAS HARD TO FIGURE OUT AND THERE WERE NO INSTRUCTIONS. THEREFORE I WAS UNABLE TO USE IT.
- Chris (6/5): - Good location, fresh new carpeting, pleasant and very helpful staff. We recommend earplugs as walls are pretty thin and sound carries through. No lamps and overhead light is overly bright and harsh. Continental breakfast is bare bones but adequate.
- Mark (8/5): - It’s a well maintained hotel. The breakfast is very simple cereal toast and bagel with orange juice. The room key is an actual key. They allow dogs.
- Dr. Robert A (4/5): - Old and outdated. No one was availavble all weekend.
- James (8/5): - Good place to stay for the night. Clean and safe.
- Lara (8/5): - This is a simple but pleasant place to stay. The walls are thin, but there weren't a lot of guests, so it didn't bother me. The room was clean, bed comfortable and soap and shampoo provided. Breakfast is just cereal and bread/bagels for the toaster with some fruit and pastries. I turned on the bathroom fan and the noise helped me to sleep at night and I slept better than I have in years. I did put stuff in the refrigerator though and didn't realize it wasn't plugged in. However, when I left in the morning, not only had they shoveled the walks, but they shoveled between the cars so that we could get into our vehicles without stepping in a few inches of snow. Incredibly thoughtful. I really enjoyed staying here.
- Neill (8/5): Ok for hunting - The hotel is fine. Everything was decently clean. Although I did find a dirty towel from the bathroom in the room when I first checked in. The most disappointing part was the continental breakfast. There were no hot waffles as there were in the past. Just doughnuts, plain bagels, cold cereal and some fruit. A couple days into our stay the coffee creamer ran out, it was not re-filled. My dad found some in the cabinet beneath the coffee, he set the box out and two days later the box was still sitting out. It was not refilled while we were still there. Didn’t really see anyone at the front desk except for when we first checked in. All in all it was an ok stay. Just plan on going to McDonald’s for something hot to eat. Not planning on staying there next year.
- Teresa (8/5): - I had no complaints, except between the hours of 4 and 5 when I was awakened by the neighbor's tv set being turned on too loudly.
We chose the hotel because it was convenient to hiking on Lake Eleven of the Ice Age Trail.
- Thomas (8/5): - Good place to stay and reasonably priced
- Gregory Howard (10/5): - Friendly manager on duty who started coffee a little early for us. Thank you
- Crystal (8/5): - Staff was very kind, even calling to let us know we left something in the room. Room was adequate- nothing fancy, but did the job. Wish there were more convenient outlets for plugging phones in by the bed. Breakfast was simple, but again, did the job. Would stay here again if in the area.
