• Stephanie (4/5): - Pues es tranquilo, la propiedad está limpia y la recámara también. Está tranquilo solo que parece un poco alejado y no hay mucho iluminación en la noche en la propiedad. Ahora si dejaste olvidado algo en la recámara donde te hospedaste , olvídalo porque no creo que lo reporten las de la limpieza y te lo entreguen. Dejamos olvidado un monitor de aire , solo un par de días y al parecer nadien reportó ni vio nada por consiguiente no pudimos recuperarlo.. que lástima

• Ana Karen (10/5): - ¡El hotel está increíble! Todos son muy amables y serviciales. Las instalaciones están muuuuuy limpias. Es muy tranquilo, seguro. La alberca está padrísima. Ahí mismo te piden el taxi para desplazarte a donde quieras (costo $45 aprox). Muy cerca está la Playa Chahué, es muy hermosa pero no te puedes meter por lo peligrosa. A los alrededores no hay tiendas ni restaurantes, sólo hay un pequeño establecimiento de alimentos y bebidas a la vuelta.

• Jose de Jesus (6/5): - Me gusto lo prehispánico, el juego de pelota, el temazcal (aunque no tuve oportunidad de probarlo), tiene cancha de tenis, lpiscina. Hay que tener cuidado con el barandal ya que está algo flojo, sugeriria ventilación en las habitación, renovar cortinas, desayunos.

• Todd (10/5): - Near a beach and a park, the rooms are spacious with large king beds and great brick, tile, and stone finishes. Good pool, and of course cracking good massage services. Very friendly owner and staff made our stay excellent. Will return soon.

• Charlotte (6/5): - The property is beautiful and unique, with very friendly staff. Barbara who greeted me and checked me in was very kind and took the time to give me a little introduction of the area. Fidel who seemed to run the place was extremely attentive, kind, and lovely to chat to, a consummate professional. The location is wonderful with many beaches and dining options within walking distance. The rooms are very basic, (no mini fridges or drawers for your clothes for example) but they are clean and uniquely decorated. Washrooms are nice, but note the water does not get hot in the showers. Some of the amenities listed on Expedia did not match what they had. There was no indoor pool or gym as listed and unfortunately the outdoor pool was not in shape to swim in as it was very murky. Wifi doesn’t work in the rooms and barely works in the communal areas so don’t plan to do a work trip there but is otherwise nice to unplug. Breakfast was nice, made fresh to order and is $150 peso with coffee and juice. The staff are all so lovely and the grounds are beautiful. I had requested a room with an ocean view as I thought it was on the beach and was told I would get an ocean view but it’s not actually on the beach and there are no views of the ocean from the hotel, but it’s only about a 1 minute walk to get to the water. Chahué beach has strong waves & gets deep fast but if you’re a decent swimmer it’s fine once you’re past the surf. Santa Cruz where the water is calmer is a 25 min. walk.

• Kenneth (10/5): - This is a unique, beautiful and friendly place. Truely one of a kind. A few other hotels near the beach are bigger and seem newer, but were shoulder to shoulder with people and lacked the rich character of Xquenda. I will definitely stay here next time I'm in Huatulco.

• Fernando (6/5): - Agradezco todas las atenciones de la señora Barbara y Fidel. Tuvimos un incidente muy desagradable que no quiero mencionar aquí. Barbara se portó fenomenal para intentar ayudarnos en lo posible a resolverlo y sentirnos agusto. Por otro lado, Fidel, aunque nos ofreció un desayuno gratis, me pidió mi nombre completo y me sentí intimidado por él por ese hecho, como si fuera un policía, y no tenía por qué hacer eso... En pocas palabras, creo que temía que yo fuera a hacerles una demanda, lo cual no tenía sentido ya que yo no me estaba comportando a la defensiva con ellos. Me gustaría mucho volver a quedarme en este hotel, a pesar de lo que pasó. Nuestra habitación era amplia y muy cómoda, la alberca genial para mí. Los desayunos, no tan buenos, pero al lado hay otro restaurante Istmeño muy bueno. La playa, a pesar de no tener camastros ni sombrillas, tiene al lado un club de playa con una excelente vista y que funciona casi todo el día por 100 pesos por persona.

• CZESLAW KRISTOFER (8/5): - Excelente relación calidad precio, habitaciónes excelentes, instalaciones muy agradables, limpias, muy bonito hotel con muy buen trato de los propietarios, lo malo es que los fines de semana hay un beach club a lado que tiene música a alto volumen por las noches, en las mañanas se escucha la cancha de tenis y la playa aunque está muy cerca carece de negocios de renta de sillas, sombrillas, bebidas y alimentos por lo que tienes que ir preparado, la playa al parecer es utilizada en ocasiones para salida de aguas pluviales y tratadas por lo que no es tan bonita como otras, cercano a 5 min Chedraui y al centro como 20 min caminando.

La cuna de mi bebé estaba muy dura y no pudo dormir ahí (hay colchones por Amazon que cuestan $800 sería una buena inversión ;) ) de ahí en fuera todo muy muy bien!

• Betty (6/5): - The hotel is very grand, and has an Aztec feel to it There is a tennis court -with a pro, and a 25M swimming pool. The pool had some green stuff floating just off the floor of the pool- algae ? Spa services are available, and the grounds are stunning. A/C in the room, and water is provided for the guests. There is no restaurant, food ,coffee or a concession with snacks on the property. WiFi is only available in the office as you check in, and a sitting area. I wasn't provided with the password, on a handwritten piece of paper.

• JUAN CARLOS (10/5): Romantico e increible Hotel - Increible el lugar y el trato de la gente del hotel fue muy atenta y agradable. La playa Chahue hermosa y el acceso muy bueno llegas caminando y la puedes visitar en cualquier horario ya que todo es muy seguro. Las picinas del hotel son increibles ya sea para nadar o para relajarte. Cuenta con cancha de tenis la cual tambien disfrutamos mucho

• Verified traveler (8/5): Nettes Hotel nahe beim Meer - Schöne Hotelanlage, angemehmes Zimmer mit allem, was man braucht, inklusive Hängematte auf dem Balkon. Meerzugang entweder frei an der prallen Sonne oder in Club, nicht wirklich berauschend. Schwimmen konnte man anfangs August wegen heftigem Wellengang nicht. Achtung: Akzeptiert wird nur eine amerikanische Kreditkarte, sonst Barzahlung.

LO RECOMIENDO ADEMAS EL BAR FAMOSO DEL LUGAR A METROS DE DISTANCIA A 200 METROS LOS PUESTOS DE COMIDA Y UN MERCADO 500 METROS. A TODO EL PERSONAL BUENA ATENCION.

• Caroline (10/5): Quiet and relaxing - We found our stay here to be very relaxing. The tennis courts were great for morning exercise, and the swimming pool was nice to cool off in. The room was very unique and also very comfortable. We very much enjoyed the balcony to listen to and watch the birds each morning and late afternoon. Location was nice--about a 15 min walk to restaurants in another bay or about a 20 min walk to centro for restaurants and shopping.
• DK (10/5): Perfect Boutique Hotel. - We absolutely loved this Hotel. We like boutique spots and this is definitely that, full of charm and completely unique to anywhere else I've been. The owners and staff are fantastic, truly nice people, cannot say enough good things about them. The location is great with ocean views and only steps to award winning Chahue beach. Can easily walk for groceries, to Santa Cruz and La Crucecita. If I had to say a couple things that could be improved, would be nice to have some softer bedding and better pillows after a long hard day of swimming and chilling on the beach. Also, it is advertised as a fitness facility, but all of the workout equipment is in disrepair, so would be nice to see that improved. Overall this is really an amazing place and I will definitely be back. If you like boutique, this is the spot.
• Dawn (8/5): Unique inn with a convenient location - We loved the peace and quiet this hotel offered. The staff was most helpful and take great pride in keeping the place clean. The chairs around the pool could use an upgrade or at least cushions as they weren't very comfortable. The pool itself was a great temperature and never crowded.

• Verified traveler (10/5): Small, beautiful, beachside hotel. - Very peaceful location but with ready access to the beach, parks etc. Spa offers some great services which include a Mexican style Sauna or sweat lodge.

• Walker (10/5): All around great hotel - I stayed at Xquenda over the weekend and found it an absolutely wonderful experience. Everything in this town seemed to be within walking distance.The hotel is located yards away from the beach and its numerous club houses. When the sun goes down, there is also a lively bar and a dance club nearby. I like walking down open avenues and Huatulco certainly delivered as the center (Crucecita) was only 20-25 min from the hotel along a nicely shaded and verdant median in the road. However, the staff at Xquenda were always ready to have a taxi at hand (1-2 min away) if that's what you desired. The room's view overlooks a courtyard with the beach just beyond that. The room itself was very comfortable and roomy. The theme seemed to be stone and dark wood in and outside of the room, which only added to the relaxed feel. I couldn't be happier with my stay. • Michel (10/5): Paradise found - My partner and I unfortunately got very sick from drinking water in Zipolite. We arrived in huatulco in scorching hot and humid weather and were so thankful for the tranquil and mellow vibe of the hotel. Barbara and Fidel were excellent hosts, so helpful and showed great empathy towards us. They gave us names of drugs we should ask for at the local farmacia that would get rid of the parasite we caught. We were so sick that we basically stayed at the hotel and hardly stepped outside. The humidity was too much to bare. We were very grateful for the large comfortable king sized bed, the ceiling fan, air conditioning and exquisite bathrooms. To be able to take a hot shower, and sit on a toilet instead of squatting like we were doing the week before was a god send. The spa rooms were beautiful! The pool was immaculate and crystal clear. There is a tennis court and a gym. Both in great shape. Some of the other rooms were vacant and we were able to take a peek inside... Magnificent! With all of the all-inclusive hotel chains and the other hotels competiting and clamoring for your business, Xquenda Huatulco Spa is the place to be!
