• Joanne (8/5): Bedding - The check in was great as the gentleman at desk was very professional and friendly. I travel weekly for my job and first thing I do is look at the sheets. One of the beds had a dirty sheet with a spot. When I called the front desk someone came and changed them.

• Lisa (6/5): Dirty - Lobby, dining and lounge were all new ce. The staff was friendly. The room not so much. The toilet had urine and hair on the seat, the towels were wet, the room smelled musty. Luckily we were only there for one night.
• Christopher (10/5): - Great hotel option in the Fayette city limits. Prices are reasonable and the hotel is kept very well. The free breakfast is really good. Love the indoor pool and hot tub and it is very convenient next to the convenience station where you can get different food and drink options as well as gasoline. I did not see an electric car charger just as an FYI so if you are traveling in an electric car, you may want to find a charging station ahead of your travels.

Pool looked wonderful and really big. Games were provided around the pool, puzzles and library books in the lobby. Beds were comfortable. The ONLY thing I would comment on was the shower curtain needed to be replaced. Would I stay there again if I ever am in the area - sure would.

Everything was great the only two things I would’ve changed is that the beds were very bouncy and the curtain for the window was too short so it didn’t do a great job at blocking out the light.

Close to West Union, Iowa, and much better than any hotel/motel in West Union. Attractive lobby and comfortable room. Above average breakfast. My one and only complaint was that the hotel's wi-fi was not password protected. I did not feel secure on the internet and used only my phone to connect.

The sign on or by the building is obvious. We drove past it looking for the entrance and then turned around and decided going through the gas station would be the way in. Overall upkeep could be improved. Hot tub and pool closed.

I even called after booking our room to make sure the pool would be open bc we really wanted a hotel with a pool. I understand things happen but I was really upset. I would have booked another hotel had I known their pool was down.

However, the air conditioner in our room could not keep up (yes, it was in the 90's outside during our stay but our room was probably in the low to mid-80's, even overnight when it cooled outside) and the bed was extremely soft. Some travelers may enjoy that, but it was definitely not comfortable for me.

I was very pleased with the friendly staff the nice room and especially clean linens and bathroom. The shower was amazing the next morning and, I just can’t say enough about this hotel! Everything was just great!

It has a country atmosphere, it's cozy, and everyone was friendly and helpful. We highly recommend Boarders as a place to stay while visiting Iowa. A big shout out to Daryll who was at the front desk when we checked in and for several of the evenings when we came back to our room in the evening. Daryll was always helpful and pleasant.
