- Marina (6/5): Ups and Downs - The Thermal Village and 2 treatments by a great therapist, the helpful and friendly staff throughout especially the concierge staff, the conservatory setting for breakfast and the grounds/river views The Shepherds Hut where i stayed for 2 nights was in an idyllic setting and was very well equipped and an easy walk to Thermal Village HOWEVER as I paid quite a bit for my stay I was disappointed to find no hot water either indoors or the outdoor copper tub A call to reception and 2 helpful maintenance men called and fixed a problem with the boiler..OK things happen My 2nd day after a full relaxing day at the Thermal village I returned and intended to get ready for my evening out the Same thing happened again..same maintenance men fixed the same problem and apologised When I got back after my evening meal it was quite cold and I thought I'd put on the heating only to find it wasn't working but at this stage I did not call reception, these things just put a damper on my stay and would not have expected it in such a place as for me it was quite costly.

- Darren (10/5): - The staff, as always, were friendly, helpful, and courteous. The food was amazing. The rain was disappointing but plenty to do unsee cover while it rained for a period.
- Jennifer (6/5): just ok - new additions to the spa were excellent our lodge was one of the older ones and a noticeable downgrade on the newer ones that we have stayed in before. a little grubby around the edges. also bed was made up for a twin rather than a double which they quickly rectified. staff at the outside bar were rude. hotel guests got free branded water bottles & lodge guest had to pay over £3 for one. Breakfast set up wasn’t as good either as they no longer self serve juice, no muffins and a smaller selection of continental options. kept waiting a long time at check in for breakfast also with no acknowledgment

Breakfast amazing, Afternoon tea was delicious, dinner at The Castle top notch, first class chateaubriand, lovely wine and excellent service. Live music every night and lively bar with great atmosphere. Stayed in a Forest Den for the first time and it was brilliant. Spa facilities amazing with beers and delicious cocktails in the outdoor tubs. Cant wait until my next visit.

- Karen (10/5): An amazing night away to celebrate my sisters 40th - Everything was exceptional, the facilities in the spa were endless, staff were so friendly, the little taxi bus to ferry us about from our cottage to the spa and to breakfast was a brilliant touch, the breakfast was devine, anything you could think of was available at the buffet breakfast I couldn't find fault in anything

- Raymond (8/5): Overall, we still had a pleasant stay, but it was disappointing not to receive the experience we had originally booked, - Stunning, everything you would expect, I booked a Forest Den as a special experience for my partner’s birthday, so I was disappointed to be told at check-in that due to a maintenance issue we were being moved to the main hotel. This was mentioned very quickly at reception, and there was no prior notice before we arrived, which would have been appreciated. While the hotel room itself was nice and had a hot tub, it wasn’t the experience I had specifically booked and paid for. We also had to make our own way over to the main hotel with our luggage, which wasn’t ideal. I did raise my concerns, and the staff handled it well — the manager came to apologise and offered us access to the spa the following day, along with a slightly later check-out, which I appreciated. However, the late check-out didn’t feel like much of an added benefit, and the spa access didn’t feel particularly exclusive.

We didn’t feel it was a good format for the style of the hotel. Staff weren’t very professional & certainly unknowable about wine. We had guests for us for dinner, and it was rather embarrassing.

- James (5/5): Potential, but completely missed the mark - The sauna was good once heated and the accompanying cold bath was great, the decor inside the hut was lovely Sauna took a long time to heat and there was not enough wood supplied to heat it up to an acceptable level. We were told that a few bits of kindling and 1x log was adequate to get it to a decent heat at which there was only 5x logs in the wood pile when we first got there and had to ask for more, this was definitely not the case and had to pay extra for more wood as the wood provided was pine and burnt very quickly. When the second batch was delivered was when we got told about the single log being enough and that one bag would last 3 days, which was very condescending. The outdoor area felt unfinished and didn't have that detail and finish that we expect from Galgorm where we stay multiple times a year in. Location from the thermal village felt impractically far away, to the pint where we ended up not bothering past 5pm as it was at least a 15minute walk in a bathrobe which wasn't pleasant. The option to get a shuttle/ transfer wasn't offered as an option when we checked in. By the time the sauna got heated which needed constant attention it was 8pm and we just decided to stay. The layout of the forest den is not practical for cooking/ preparing food. If the weather was a little worse it would be impossible to prepare anything even though we brought our own BBQ. Shepherds hut layout would be alot more practical. Even the point of putting a dishwasher in feels hilarious even though there is no option to really cook unless you bring your own BBQ, or buy the overpriced disposable option given. There is no fridge available to keep food chilled, there is a charged mini bar which we had to empty in order to keep food in it, this again should have a full size fridge as opposed to a useless dishwasher, and this barely keep anything below room temperature.
- Jack (3/5): - Dear Galgorm Team, I am writing to express my disappointment following our recent stay at your resort on the 29th–30th of March, under the booking name Jack Rollston. We were staying in one of the Shepherd’s Huts and, unfortunately, we were unable to get the heating to work at all throughout the night. As a result, the accommodation was extremely cold, and we were left feeling very uncomfortable. The only reason we managed to get any rest was because my partner had brought an extra blanket and jumper with her. Given the premium cost of our stay—including the Shepherd’s Hut accommodation, dining, and cocktails—we were very disappointed that such a fundamental aspect of comfort was not met. This significantly impacted our overall experience and meant we were unable to properly enjoy our visit. Not a lot we can say that we didnt like. Property was lovely but as regards cost it was so expensive. Phones should be totally banned!!!!
- Caitlin (5/5): - It was an amazing experience and a well needed get away Enjoyed the trip but just the showers are very slippery in the shepherds hut 1 was that slippery that I fell in the shower and have hurt my lower back and bruised it and also hit my head of the hard tiles on the wall and struggled to get back up because of them being sliddy and not having a handle to grab onto due to the shower being small and the shower was that small my partner couldn’t open the door of the shower to help me get up the back pains with the brusie just seems to have got worse

Definitely recommended The resort I found was badly sign posted it was hard to know where facilities were. Leaflets would be a good idea to give to guests upon arrival :)

- lesley (8/5): Really lovely hotel. But very busy and expensive - Very quiet room large and comfortable. Staff were all very nice The thermal village was extremely busy. We had to hire a private hot tub to get using one.
