• Harry (10/5): - Love staying here with the family offers full kitchen which allows us to make breakfast then prepare lunch for beach trips. Kids loving seeing the boats going in and out and you can treat that sunset view over the sound. Several amazing restaurants very close to here and a small grocery store down the street what more is there to ask for

Something I didn’t like was that when my sister was making her bed, a flea was on her pilllow so we left the pillow outside in the balcony chair and let the front desk know. They didn’t do nothing about it but just give us a new pillow case and got an attitude saying “show me the flea show me the flea.” Like, we left the pillow outside of course the flea is gonna leave. But overall, the price was fair and I liked my stay.
• john (8/5): Not fancy, but comfie - Room was not fancy, but comfortable. Friendly staff. AC worked well and silently. Everything was clean. No maid service, but that didn’t really bother us. Kitchen was adequately equipped for 2 people. If you’re bothered by morning light, bring eyeshades because the shades and curtains in the room don’t block light very well. When we were there (off season), it was very quiet, but it’s on a marina with a lot of fishing boats, so in high season there might be some noise from those in the early morning.

Was charged an up charge at check out for having 3 in our party which wasn’t expected or mentioned when the room reserved. But overall a nice stay.

• Samaresh (10/5): Quiet comfortable marina stay - Super helpful staff, called us before time to warn about flooding and road conditions in the area. The harbor has a cute/boutique gift shop. Tons of seagulls and pelicans around here. Beautiful view of the marina from second floor rooms. Anyone planning to visit this area must come prepared.

• Verified traveler (8/5): Nice enough place, great staff, great view - We'll definitely stay here again - owners are still fixing up the place, they told us, and if nothing fancy, it was quite comfortable with a view over the boats in the marina of the open sea - could see the Ocracoke ferries going back and forth in the distance. Convenient location next to Dinky's (our favorite restaurant) and close enough to Sonny's to see how crowded the parking lot was when deciding when to go for breakfast.

• Lynda (8/5): Lovely beach get-away - We had a lovely stay at this little motel. The place was rustic, but that is what we were expecting. The location and nearby beaches were absolutely gorgeous and it was not overcrowded, which made for a lovely trip. We especially want to thank Tanya for her generous hospitality when we arrived.

• amanda (10/5): In love with this place and its people!! - We loved this place! Beautiful sunsets and we could see the Hunter Moon rise from our balcony at the same time!! The locals are wonderful.. We enjoyed watching the boats come in with their daily catch. Large apartment with a Queen room (no tv in room)-bathroom off the bedroom. Good size kitchen with dishes but no pots and pans. There was one big stock pot, but I would bring my own skillet next time maybe if planning to stay a bit. Plenty of dishes and silverware of good quality though. 3 twin beds in the living room area but no couch or anything. We actually just slept out there so we could watch the boats come in and the sun go down. The room is clean. I am in love with this place!!

The only complains from us is that the bathroom can only be entered from the bedroom, which makes it inconvenient for our family sleeping outside the bedroom. There is no shampoo and conditioner onsite as well.

• Thomas (10/5): - Stayed here with a couple friends for two nights on a road trip. This place is fantastic. Very clean, very comfortable, and in a perfect location. The people who run it are very nice as well.
• ANNA (10/5): - The first thing about The Motel Staff that I encountered before I even left for my trip, was the friendly reply that I got by email letting me know that I could check in an hour early because of the long distance that I was traveling to get there. I explained that we were coming for a wedding early the next day and we needed to meet up with my family later in the day that I was to arrive. I was not familiar with the place, and they were so kind and helpful about my questions and arrival time. When I did arrive, the lady was right there to help me with the check in and showing us to our room. She was so kind and friendly till I felt like it was my extended family instead of a business transaction. The room was great. It was absolutely well cleaned and all of the linens, towels and the kitchen were totally furnished. I couldn't believe that we were getting all of that for the price that they charged and the area that it was located in. I will definitely go back there the next time that I travel there.

We had a blast and will definitely stay here again when the area.

The rooms are up a lot of step stairs and the people from the deli hang out and smoke a lot right under the rooms. That was very disappointing. The view is great and lots of really good restaurants within walking distance. Not sure I would stay there again with the smoking and stairs but not a bad place for a motel.
• Dylan (6/5): Get what you pay for - First off I am headed to the doctor today to see if I got bed bugs from room 2. I've never had bed bugs in my life but from the look of the bites after our first night its that or fleas.... my girlfriend also had them all over her body as well. We know for a fact they aren't in my house because my brother hasn't had any or the rest of my family. This is the only other place we have slept. Now thats out of the way... the room itself is more for fisherman to stay in than anyone else. I made the mistake of booking a super cheap motel room which I won't ever do again. No couch in the room only a horrible queen mattress that a 600 pound man must have slept in to make the crater in the center. The floors had recently been replaced which was nice. The shower was clogged when we got there but management fixed it as soon as we asked. When we arrived they didn't have any comforters on any beds and said it was due to COVID but that shouldn't matter if they are washing them after each visit. Only time they cleaned was early in the morning when we were sleeping and when they started coming later would adjust the thermostat so it was hot in the room when we got back from the beach. We paid for the room so that should cover the electricity we used. The owners were not friendly at all. When we first checked in that first night the lady managing the desk seemed like we were bothering her asking to check in. If its a vacation dont stay here, spend another $200 and stay at Ocracoke. Kthxbye
• Darrell (8/5): place to shower and sleep - Went down for fishing and the beach. It was clean and the shower was hot. No couch or space to relax and watch a movie but it suited all our other needs.
• Verified traveler (10/5): Great place for a low price. - Our efficiency at Hatteras Harbor Marina was excellent. It’s not fancy, but it is functional and clean. The balcony had a nice view of the harbor and sound that We already miss. The folks there, especially Tonya and Mike are so friendly and full of great information. It was our first time to the OBX, and it made a difference for our experience. It’s location is ideal, close to ORV beach access and the Ocracoke ferry. There is a fleet of charter fishing boats that you can select from for a day of deep sea fishing. I will go back this fall and go on one. The kitchen has some mixed pots and pans and plates, but make sure you pack a few things you like to cook with.
• Verified traveler (10/5): - Our travel plans changed last minute, causing us to arrive at Hatteras Harbor Marina several hours way too early. This host didn't have to clean and make our room available to us hours before check in, but they (generously) did. A student who was traveling with us was able to finish his on-line course inside our room (instead of sitting on porch). This property is perfect for families. All four of us had our own bed. From our balcony, we had wonderful views of sunset over the sound. Fun to watch the charters come in with their catches each evening. Great to sit out there with my coffee each morning. Full kitchen includes pots, pans, dishes, flatware, paper towels, trash can, coffee maker and coffee. Clean, friendly, perfect location. LOVED IT.

• Jrod (10/5): - Hatteras Harbor Marina is an excellent place to stay when you have a fishing charter booked. The parking makes it very easy to unload coolers onto the boats because you’re literally right behind the boat. Also parking can be crowded depending on what time you get there. Hours between 4pm-6pm the parking lot is packed with people and vehicles waiting to see what the boats caught that day. Overall I recommend staying at the Hatteras Harbor Marina.

• Joel (8/5): - The room setup was great, and amenities were fine. Cleanliness overall was very good, however we noticed our ten-month old daughter was getting grimy from crawling on the tile floor. Wasn't happy to see what when we had her in semi-decent clothes. We also noticed the air conditioning had a somewhat rough time keeping up when it was over 90 degrees outside with staggering humidity; the room was cool but it was below what we were setting it at. Thankfully the owner brought in a separate window unit that we could use to help off-set the difference.

• Adam (10/5): Great stay for a fishing trip! - Came down to go fishing. Had to check-in well after closing time so the staff made sure we were able to access our room. The room was clean, the kitchenette was perfect (nothing fancy), and the beds were comfortable. All the rooms overlook the marina / harbor so the views and sunsets were great.
• Karen (8/5): Relax and Enjoy a Quiet Way of Life - Hatteras Marina Motel is a great location . Walking distance to most things. Perfect for watching the Charter Fishing Boats depart and return with their catch. The unit has a full kitchen and well stocked with utensils . Plenty of room for the whole family. The rooms are on the second floor. No elevator and the three flights of stairs could be a challenge.

The view from the balcony was breathtaking and it was really convenient to have a full kitchen in the room. Everyone we spoke with was super friendly and accommodating. We will definitely be staying here again on our next trip down!

• Verified traveler (8/5): - This property certainly wouldn't qualify as a 5 star resort, but that's not why you would stay there any way. It's in a marina, a mile away from another marina, down the street from a head boat...you get the picture. For a four day fishing excursion, it was perfect for our needs. We spent our days on the water and nights cooking up the catch. It's a fairly no -frills operation, but does have wifi and flat screen TV, and the full kitchen was great. Staff that we interacted with was courteous, the deli downstairs makes a mean shrimp burger, the view is tough to beat, and the price is great.

• OG (8/5): - The room has 5 star view . Room itself is spacious, clean and has central AC, which makes it extremely comfortable. There is nothing fancy, but it is good honest accommodation.
• Angie (8/5): - Great view (beautiful sunsets!!!) and location. Close to Hatteras ferry terminal, groceries, coffee shop and beaches. Nice living quarter set up for our needs, including full kitchen unit with oven, stovetop, microwave, coffeepot, full-size fridge/freezer, as well as pots, pans, glassware, dishes, silverware, etc. The only problem was they ask you to wash your dishes, but there's nothing to scrub with nor a drying rack (no dishwasher), and apparently, no one checks to make sure the previous people did the job well. There's no dishwasher to guarantee sanitary cleansing of items, so I just rewashed everything (since I found grease on dishes and coffee still in cups that were in the cupboard). Front desk lady was snappy and unpleasant the two times I spoke with her (asked for an extra garbage and at checkout). Otherwise, it is a great place to stay at an incredible price for the area. We would definitely stay again and bring a couple of extra cleaning items for the kitchen. :)
• Verified traveler (6/5): Needs updates and better staff. - Me, my fiance, and her mother stayed here for 4 nights. I was going offshore fishing with a friend during that time. It is good for a few people. Wallpaper was peeling off of the walls, there wasnt bulbs in 2 of the lamps for some reason, there wasnt a bulb in the outside deck light, took them 2 days to get our dirty towels and trash...they claim to include all utensils for food but there were no bowls. It is a decent place to stay with a flatscreen tv, a/c, and a perfect view of the sound. We go for the beach so it isnt that important if the room is immaculant but they could improve some things. Also, the staff can be slightly rude.
• Verified traveler (8/5): visiting family - The service was out-standing! Our original reservation was cancelled due to a situation at the locations. There was a woman, I am sorry but I forget her name, that worked to find us a replacement reservation; nothing was available in the area. Several days later I was notified of a cancellation in another room and we can have that room. The room was sufficient but could have used a small table to eat or sit. The living space had 3 single beds that worked great for our group. The place had all we needed. Only item that was somewhat of an inconvenience was the bathroom is located off the only bedroom. This worked for our group but if you have to use the bathroom in the middle of the night, as we do these days, you may disturb those sleeping in the bedroom. All in all, it worked just great and again, the service was excellent.
• Verified traveler (8/5): Really close to the ferry - The room had everything we needed and was comfortable.
• Heather (8/5): - The water pressure wasn't the best and there wasn't anywhere to sit and relax to watch tv except on beds. Not that comfortable sitting on the side of a bed to try and relax and watch tv.
• Jason (10/5): - Very comfortable, relaxing, quiet place....Great service and most of all clean rooms....
• Cory (8/5): Nice place - Nice hotel for the money. Staff was friendly and quick! Would stay again if needed.
• Verified traveler (10/5): Awesome staff! - We were stuck on the Island for three days due to flooding. The staff, especially Scott could not have been better. Room was clean. Had a comfortable King bed with a sofa and a huge TV. Microwave and mini fridge. Close to convenience stores and restaurants. Unfortunately no restaurants open for dinner on Sunday or Monday. Thankfully Scott had checked that on my original call to the hotel so we stocked up on microwavable food. The staff made a bad situation good. Would stay here again for sure!
• Trey (6/5): - My room was 5 twin beds, no chair, 4 stools, left over food in cupboard, no shampoo. But overlooked marina.
