- Adrian (10/5): - It’s truly a paradise here. More than I ever expected the experience to be. Nice staff, excellent food and a very quiet atmosphere. Rooms were amazing and has hot running water for bathing or showering. Sea is very close and has beautiful beaches.

- John (8/5): - The place was the worst place ive been to in 20 Years. It looked abandoned. No water for hours . A/C didn't cool the villa. No food or drink available even though charged for same. The pool was an algea color green. The grounds nor the beach were sweep. After we got our key the only staff lady left We left the next morning. The property looked abandoned in the morning. We arrived about 8 pm. Even then it looked scary. Worse in tbe light. It should not be on any travel service. A refund was refused even after all the complaints The one lady that took our key when we left said she understood our reasons for leaving
- Abelardo (8/5): - The property is well thought out and designed. Just that some glass panels have spaces for bugs to get in. The staff was marvelous and very accommodating. The air conditioning unit was plenty strong in our room and comfortable. The beach is too close to the Ferry landing and debris from it is frequent along the beach. It was secluded and you have very good privacy. Some re touching and remodeling will make it shine again, for this I am sure.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Awful place - Air conditioner didnt cool the room. The room was full of mosquitoes, . The pool had not been cleaned. The grounds needed landscaping. There was trash down by the beach. The water was not accessible from the property, so really no private beach as advertised. They swept the road, but left trash everywhere else on the property.
- Kim Ryan (4/5): - Staff was nice. Showerhead in the assigned room was broken so just opted to downgrade stay in any available room. Needs more maintainance on all amenities. Too pricey for the experience
- Aaron (6/5): Neglected - In a word... Neglected. The facility as a whole is in much need of repair. Not just the thatched roofs of the villas, but the wood rot on the eves as well as much of concrete that has broken away from the rusting rebar. The staff was courteous and location was quiet. The entrance to the resort is not clearly marked so is easy to miss. Swimming pool is small, easy to mistake as a koi fish pond. Wi-Fi only accessible outside on grounds or lower level of the villa, not inside the villa. Villa appeared clean, though still managed to contract HFM Disease, had to cut our stay short because of needing medical attention on mainland. Resort refused to reimburse/refund for unused days. In the end, a not so romantic, romantic retreat. Will not be returning.

The property is well maintained and the lodges are spacious and comfortable. Some items could be upgraded but overall, the next time I go to Bantayan I will once more stay at Hoyohoy Villias.
- Jay (10/5): - A more secluded beautiful resort with very helpful and friendly staff. We enjoyed our nightly stroll to the touristy MJ Square either along the beach or along the road. Highly recommend if you want a bit more solitude.

- DORRELL (10/5): Happy there - Location made you feel like you have your own beach, I didn't like that they went in my room when I had the don't disturb sign on door. They saw us leave and went in to clean, I had my money and jewelry out as well ass all other belongings. Nothing was missing.

- Verified traveler (8/5): - Tranquil but very close to the ferry port so the beach isn’t the best but a short walk down the beach and there are plenty of other beaches to park yourself. 10 min walk to the town where you’ll find a supermarket, stalls and places to eat. However, there were 2 nights of street raves, one which ended at 4am but easily caught up on rest during the day on the beach. Warm, clear sea and much needed to cool down from the 31 degree heat. I found the Resort staff to be really friendly & accommodating.

- brent (4/5): Under construction beach what beach terrible beach - Under construction ,,,,beach what beach terrible beach, tried to get an upgrade , paid for a upgrade room but did not receive. Ended up moving to a different hotel for the last two nights. Way better resort. Very disappointing . Every time we would open our front door there was construction workers looking in. The beach was filthy. Could not lay on the sand or swim.

- Stephen (10/5): A perfect place to enjoy Bantayan! - The villas are amazing. Built to the typical local style. Very spacious, interior designed, and clean. The grounds are wonderful with plenty of space for everyone! With a lovely cool pool to enjoy. The food was delicious and served with style. Definitely a must stay place for people wanting a quiet calm relaxed hotel away from the hectic centre. Ideally located close to the ferry station but completely hidden from it. We loved this hotel and would definitely recommend
- Jesse (8/5): Has Potential - We stayed at 3 hotels on Bantayan: Hoyohoy, Anika, and Coral Blue. Of the 3, we preferred Hoyohoy. It was the cleanest, and had the most relaxing atmosphere. The grounds are quite pretty, tucked far from the main road, with green landscaping, and an oceanside setting. Of, course, it is very near to the pier, which makes swimming undesirable and the beach less attractive. Also, the "swimming pool" at Hoyohoy is more like a green pond with moss. This hotel should not be allowed to claim it has a pool. Another drawback was the breakfast, which, although served in nice presentation, was ridiculously overpriced, (most expensive of any hotel we saw) and not great. However, with that said, the room (an upper unit) was lovely, with vaulted ceilings, windows all around, and a comfortable bed. The bathroom was exceptionally clean and spacious, with a bathtub and an interesting outdoor shower. The staff were nice enough to allow us early check-in, but overall not particularly welcoming or friendly. Still, that seems to be the case all over the island. Bantayan has lower standards and less tourist infrastructure than some other Philippines destinations. Still, overall, we thought this was a pretty and pleasant hotel. With a little more attention to detail and a few improvements, it could amazing.

- Robert (8/5): Romantic getaway. - This is a very nice resort. Nice and quiet for a relaxing break. You will need a bike if you stay here but that's part of the fun on the island.

The hotel grounds were kept clean. The room was brand new but the shower drain design was a mosquito breeding grounds. Bring your mosquito repellent. They also did our laundry for small charge

- RETO (6/5): Some plus more minuses - All in all nice suites, yet the place seems under construction, the restaurant is very small and very limited (no wine) the pool was not very clean, seems the flooring has algae problems. We stayed only one night had a good time but I would not necessarily return After my experience in Malapasqua this was not up to par to be considered a "boutique hotel" of high stars. Comfortable rooms, good internet connection and overall friendly staff. Lack of management.

- Thomas (4/5): Nice Picture - I booked this room accidentally and tried to change the dates but the hotel would not change the dates so I was forced to change my vacation plans. Upon arrival I noted the pool was under maintenance, and I ask if it would be fixed soon. Nope. I ask the groundsman cleaning pool how low it was broken, and he said it had been broken for a long time. Needed a pump. So I got this hotel because it was close to town and it had a pool my kids could swim in. No pool. The restaurant is overpriced and undermanned. Having owned several restaurants of my own. Don't expect service in under an hour.
- Verified traveler (4/5): They have great pictures - Upon arrival was notified that the pool was closed indefinitely. The pool pump was broke and there was no specific date for it to be fixed. Meal at the resort restaurant are twice if not three times as expensive as meal in town. Bathtub is built for Filipino proportions, not American or European. If your taller than 5'4" it's pointless to try. Hot water comes from hot point supply. It's not hot, it's lukewarm at best. Toilet needs to be fixed, front door of cabin was warped, could only open half way. I could go on. Beachfront cabin is not really beachfront. It's more like a beach view. Very close to port of Sante Fe. So at 5:00 you can hear port loudspeakers calling out commands, and the ships honk horns loudly every hour as they come and go.

- Julia (10/5): Fantastic - Fantastic. The villas are amazing. Great service. The beach is a little dirty and it is situated between the ferry port and a camp site so there is some noise, but overall it's the best place I've seen on bantayan. I'll be back for sure
- Glynn (10/5): Relaxing hotel. - Enjoyed a lovely stay at Hoyohoy villas. Right on the beach. Only downside is locality of nearby port with some noise as a result. Otherwise a superb spot. The staff were excellent and room cleaning was top notch. We had brought a lot of sand into room etc and everyday spotless. Hotel staff accommodating and will allow bespoke times/venues for dinner to cater to guests needs. This hotel is small but a gem of a find. Would be great for couples looking for a relaxing spot on Bantayan. Could do with safe in room but apart from that a lovely stay with a lot extra beautifying touches by the staff which adds to the simple but luxurious feel. If you want extensive facilities, this resort is not for you, but if you want a quiet refuge during your stay on Bantayan, then this one is in my opinion is a great choice.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Good facilities but very poor customer service - Resort facilities are ok 'though a bit old and beachfront is very near the port. Food is ok also but service is late. The worst ever experience is about their handling of my issue about excess headcount for the room that I have booked. We were willing to get an additional room and they accomodated us but it took a lot of heated discussion and an escalation to the owner before the manager has allowed us to stay. Even telling us to talk to the booking company, have our payment refunded, and look for another resort. Such an unfriendly action from a resort head. At the very last moment of our stay, the manager made us feel that we were wrong and did not even apologize. Compared to other resorts in the area, this one is really pricey, but we have no choice because others were fully booked. Definitely not going back to this resort ever again !!!

- Jovy (8/5): Friendly place in a Paradise - My husband and I stayed here with some friends. The place is nice, clean and quiet. Staffs are friendly and very accommodating. The beach is "ok" for swimming. But i suggest every visitor to include the Paradise Beach and Virgin Island in their itinerary. Swimming pool became like a pond. It's no good for swimming. Their food is fine nothing to so fastastic about it. They don't have slexttic kettle in the villas. The staff can bring you a pot of hot water if you like.

- Rebecca (10/5): Hotel with Private Beach - This hotel has a wonderful staff! CJ took excellent care of us! The grounds are relaxing and the pool, while small, is refreshing. They have a private beach with white sand that is tranquil. We were almost the only people at the beach all four days! The small village is within walking distance with several restaurants and some shops and there is a large town about 8 miles away where you can buy fresh seafood, shop, etc. Breakfast is ok. We had the American breakfast each morning but tried a few local dishes a la carte. They also have some good dishes for lunch/dinner but the meat isn't always the best however, still delicious. It can take a fair amount of time for food to arrive so order a bit early but it's always very fresh. If you're looking for an out of the way place to relax, this is it. Keep in mind, it does take about 4 hours to arrive from the airport (car or bus to Hagnaya Port [3 hours], then a ferry [1 hour]) but on the drive along the coast you see the beautiful countryside and then can rest, meditate, and get away from it all.
