• Sofia (7/5): Buono - La nostra camera era molto pulita e accogliente, lo staff sempre presente tramite chat e la struttura si trova in una posizione molto centrale di fronte il castello di San Giorgio. A piedi si raggiunge tutto in poco tempo, sebbene al ritorno in camera sia necessario faticare un po’ per via del dislivello delle strade, l’appartamento infatti è in una zona alta della città. La zona comunque molto tranquilla sia di giorno che di sera tardi, la sera la strada è molto silenziosa. Le scale per salire nell’appartamento sono molto ripide (noi eravamo al secondo piano) da tenere presente per chi ha qualche problema fisico. La struttura si trova in una zona interdetta al transito, eccetto per taxi autorizzati, questa cosa andrebbe segnalata meglio nella descrizione prima di prenotare. Dal frigorifero ogni tanto partiva un rumore molto fastidioso e forte, ci ha svegliato di notte. Inoltre nella stanza si avvertiva odore di umidità sebbene non ci fosse muffa visibile. Il rapporto qualità prezzo per me non è giustificato da quanto offerto ma si paga la posizione.
• Sybille (8/5): Kurzfristig Lissabon2 - Schönes, gepflegtes Haus mitten in der Altstadt und trotzdem ruhig. Es fehlt an nichts, sehr sauber. Sehr geräumiges Appartment mit Blick auf den Teja. Wir erhielten alle Informationen detailliert und frühzeitig. Anfragen wurden schnell bearbeitet. Sehr gute Referenzen für Frühstück, Lunch und Abendessen in typischen Lokalitäten. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

• MacMillan (9/5): Close proximity to the castle in a well appointed unit. - The communications with the staff were excellent! They were so helpful and went above and beyond. We chose the property based on the location but it was too touristy for our liking. It was very crowded. The unit was very quiet with the windows closed considering all the people outside. The hills up and down the Alfama are steep as well. Be prepared to walk.

The security and lighting in the stairwell was excellent. The special water and items available to purchase was a nice touch!
• Susanne (10/5): - Very nice and comfortable room in the heart of Alfama. During the day it is in the middle of the tourist crowds, but at night it is surprisingly quiet. The beds are extremely comfortable! We knew the area beforehand - but people should be aware that it is almost on top of the castle hill, and the streets are steep and all cobblestone. If you have heavy luggage on wheels, it might not be the best option. - unless you want to go for the workout.

Although it’s a very busy tourist area, it’s very quiet at night and the apartment has good windows that keep noise out in the day too. The staff sent lots of messages, checked we were ok and sent recommendations for places to eat too - really looked after us. Nothing!

• Hugo (8/5): Geweldig verblijf, veel bezienswaardigheden. - Modern ingerichte kamer. Voorzien van alle gemakken. De ligging is mooi en sfeervol, zo bovenaan en dichtbij het Kasteel Sao Jorge. Zoek je gezelligheid in de avond, hou er dan rekening mee dat je altijd even een wandeling moet maken.

The only complaint was being woken up by other residents arguing and then talking/being loud late into the early hours on our second last night. However, that is no fault of the owners, just people not adhering to the quiet hours policy.

Lokacija tobula: visos lankytinos vietos ir geriausi restoranai pasiekiami pėsčiomis. Didelis ačiū šeimininkams už nuolatinį bendravimą ir išsamią informaciją. Niekada nepasijutome apleisti ar ko nors nežinantys. Kartais nakties metu gatvėje būdavo stumdomi šiukšlių konteineriai. Gatvė labai tyli, todėl tie konteineriai labai girdisi. Jei užsidarai langus, viskas gerai.

• Alessia (9/5): Ci ritornerei - Posizione strategica per visitare Lisbona. Appartamento molto bello, con a disposizione il necessario anche per fare colazione con calma. Condizionatori presenti nelle due stanze principali. Si dorme molto bene. È un quartiere molto silenzioso nella notte. Tenete conto che essendo la zona del castello, non è raggiungibile da Uber e taxi, ma bisogna camminare un 5-10 minuti a piedi. In ogni caso i proprietari si mettono a disposizione per organizzarti il taxi dall’appartamento per il trasporto all’aeroporto Purtroppo quando siamo arrivati noi, a Lisbona ha piovuto molto, e forse si sentiva un po’ di umidità all’interno, ma questo credo sia un problema generale di Lisbona. Super consigliato!

Very comfortable, nicely welcomed, every aspect was as expected or better. A couple more items in the kitchen (cutting board, paring knife, scissors) would have made cooking there less of a challenge, but what was there, especially the olive oil, the coffee, was very appreciated.

Do yourself a favour and stay more than one night! - This apartment is in a great location, is really well equipped, is spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Communication from Nádia was excellent from the outset. Information was provided on things to see and do in the local area and follow up from Antonio to check all had gone okay with check in was really appreciated. The apartments are upstairs which I was aware of when I booked. I hadn’t factored in the need for neck surgery a few weeks before my visit and the inability to manage my suitcase upstairs. I was able to open my suitcase under the stairs at the locked entrance and remove items until my luggage was manageable. So, don’t let the thought of stairs deter you, there are always ways around things! Nothing! Other than I only booked one night!

• Ruth (10/5): Very pleasant experience. A good location, however, don't book if you can't climb hills. - I felt very welcome by our hostess on arrival. The office, Nadia, was very helpful in arranging a taxi, answering my questions and making our stay a positive experience. The apartment was well equipped, the beds were comfortable and the facilities very clean: the shower was great. I was told there were about 10 steps for us to climb to get into apartment. There were more than double that, although our driver and our hostess helped us get out suitcases up and down them. This is not a place for the mobile challenged person.

• Tiiu (10/5): A lovely apartment with a nice view - The apartment has a wonderful view of the Tejo river - this is a reward for the climb uphill! The room was very quiet - you could not hear the street noise. A good shop is close nearby for local wine and olives + they have an elevator reaching almost the top of the mountain. The hostess was most kind and gave all the attention we needed. We surely would love to come again! -
• Stefanie (10/5): Sehr besondere und wunderschöne Unterkunft. - Eine wunderschöne Unterkunft in bester Lage direkt neben dem Castelo. Mann kann fast alle Sehenswürdigkeiten zu Fuss erreichen . Direkt vor der Unterkunft spazieren die Pfaue, ein wirklich ganz besonderes Erlebnis. Der Kontakt mit der Rezeption war sehr sehr nett, es gab Empfehlungen für sehr schöne Restaurants und Cafés, Tischreservierungen, Taxireservierungen und vieles mehr. Vielen Dank für eine schöne Zeit und bis bald, ich komme sicher wieder hierher. Alles super!
• DOWNES (10/5): Great clean apartment, in a fantastic location. - Great location. Clean and tidy apartment with good room for two. Basic kitchen facilities - not really suitable for cooking a meal but certainly great for making a snack, sandwiches etc. Good fridge. Great shower room with toilet and washbasin. Large bedroom, great wardrobe, plenty of plug sockets and views over rooftops to the river. Cleaner came in to empty the bins and change the towels after 4 days and also booked our taxi back to the airport. We liked everything.
• Jiří (10/5): - Excellent location – you can't hear any cars and almost no airplanes. From the window, you can see the sea in the distance and feel the fresh air. You can keep the windows open at night without any noise. The apartment was clean and comfortable, and so were the beds. Overall, this accommodation has everything you need for quality sleep, which is a very precious thing in such a noisy city as Lisbon. Just a few minor suggestions for improvement: - There is only a plastic kettle. Boiling water in plastic is not healthy; I would suggest upgrading to a stainless steel kettle. - There is no stove (only a microwave and a kettle), but there are pots. I’m not sure why. - Most of the lights have a rather aggressive blue tone. I would recommend switching to something warmer, at least in the bathroom. - Providing a separate rubbish bin for plastic would be great as well.

• Vitezslav (9/5): - Really great accommodation, just below the castle, a magical area. The owners of the accommodation provide really excellent support, assistance and help. The apartment is suitable for three people, featuring three comfortable beds. We were four, and one of us had to use a foldable bed, which was less comfortable and took up less space in the apartment.

• Antje (10/5): Klare Empfehlung! - Die Lage ist einfach grandios. Mitten drin, aber trotzdem ruhig in der Nacht. Die Ausstattung und das Design der Wohnung ist modern und gleichzeitig besonders. Die Kommunikation war jederzeit freundlich und schnell. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und würden wieder kommen!!
• JackBrain (9/5): - A very clean and cozy room. It's located near Castelo de San Jorge, but in the evenings all the tourists leave and the streets are quiet. The windows offer a small view of the sea. The kitchen was poorly equipped: the pans were poorly made, and the stove was an electric hotplate, but it was broken. The hotel is located on a mountain, which is not easy to reach and there are no taxis. The hotel itself has steep stairs. There are no large supermarkets nearby.

• James (10/5): We four 70+ tourists chose to stay in historic Lisbon literally at the castle wall for the ambiance - even though it was - Loved the location of this rental right at the castle wall. It is on a hill, but we didn’t have any issues walking or getting a taxi when needed. The hosts were very receptive to our inquiries and booked taxis when requested. We were so appreciative of the extra towels, ample soap products, and facial tissue all of which seem to be a rarity at Portuguese rentals in our experience. Nothing.

• Shuk-lan (10/5): It was wonderful to be so close to the Castelo Sao Jorge. Great workout climbing the hills! - It was quiet but still very central to a lot of attractions. Comfy bed and very thoughtful touches with water, teas, and notes. Due to narrow roads and limited access, taxis didn’t not come to the doorsteps. The roads are not very good for rolling luggages.

Apartment itself was clean, comfortable and well equipped. The communication before and during our stay was exceptional with great recommendations for eating out nearby. • Bekas (8/5): Great location in a clean apartment. - Location was wonderful for experiencing the Alfama area. The apartment was clean and cared for. Woman cleaning was very helpful even though language was a barrier. Shower had an issue and they resolved that day. Getting in touch with the proprietor wasn’t easy. All of the numbers we attempted to call either did not go through or no response. We were able to have Hotel staff there make contact for us on 2 occasions. Email wasn’t explicit about where to locate entry pad so it was confusing to gain initial access.

• Lynn (10/5): - Castle Inn was a quaint, clean & charming apartment in the center of the old Castle area. We felt like we were living like a local even though it is a popular tourist destination. It is very central to everything. The owners were always quick to respond & were very helpful. We would definitely stay there again.

• Cindy (10/5): Immersion in the heart of Lisbon! - The communication from booking to checking out was awesome! So help, as getting there could have been difficult without good instructions. The view and breeze through the windows was beautiful! The location was very near the entrance to the castle so it was bustling in the day but very quiet at night! The apartment was well equipped with everything you would need and the water pressure was glorious, lol.
• David (9/5): Lovely apartment in the castle precinct. Narrow cobbled streets very atmospheric. - Good room with a kitchen and dining area too The location is within the castle walls, so be prepared for a lot of walking up the hill at the end of your evening. Not a problem if you are fit.
• Colleen (8/5): Great place to stay in Lisbon - Great location - near the castle but on a quiet side street. The apartment is newly renovated so very clean and bright. We did have a problem with the lock to the apartment. The owner came to sort it out the next day.

• Diane (10/5): Fantastic host, great location and our room and facilities were excellent. - The host was fantastic. Always helpful. The location was stunning and quite easy to get around.Even though we were staying next to Castello St Jorge, our room was very quiet with the windows closed. The stairs are steep. These were well lit and we have now got a good system going to get our luggage up and down the many places that have stairs. Part of the fun of travelling and staying in interesting places.

• Florian (10/5): Perfect place to start the citytrip - Great clean spacious rooms with all the amenities you need. The airco was nice and not loud. When you close the windows it is almost silent and when you open them you can hear the ambiance and the tourists going through the small streets. The location is perfection. Right in the middle of a historic center with plenty of food spots and close to one of the best bakery's for a pastel de natas. Check in is all done digital and very smooth. Don't know. For the price, it is expensive, you get what you pay for, a nice clean quiet apartment in the heart of Lisbon.

• Corlene (8/5): Mooi appartement, midden in Lissabon vanwaar je lopend veel kan bezichtigen. - Appartement in het oude centrum van Lissabon, super omgeving om Lissabon te voet te verkennen. Nadeel is dat je wel stukje moet lopen met je bagage omdat je niet vlakbij kan parkeren. Voor de prijs had een fles water en wijn bijvoorbeeld als welkom een zeer positieve indruk gemaakt. Er was wel mandje met droge crackers, cornflakes en melk, maar om dat als ontbijt te gebruiken is wel heel beperkt. Doe het dan goed of niet. De slaapkamer met de twee losse bedden was wel heel klein. De slaapbank in de woonkamer was daarom wel een goed alternatief.
• Caroline (9/5): It was just what we wanted. - It matched our expectations, and the staff were very helpful. Communication with our hosts was ideal. The info pack really useful, and having the tourist information and Cheesy Sheep on the doorstep was great. The key code mechanism to enter the property was a bit temperamental.

• Peter (9/5): We had a great experience in Lisbon and our accommodation was a major contributor to the success. - The property was spacious and well maintained. Friendly staff and willing to assist with transportation and advise on restaurants and other activities. The location was excellent however we found that the there was a need to use taxis to arrive at the location due to steep slopes to the top of the castle area.

• Mylen (10/5): Retour dans le temps pour un moment avec toutes les commodités de 2025! - L’emplacement près du château derrière les remparts, la tranquillité de l’immeuble, la propreté et la communication avec nos hôtes. Ils nous ont donné beaucoup d’informations utiles, de bonnes recommandations de restaurants et ils se sont occupés de nous réserver un taxi pour se rendre à l’aéroport! Si nous avions des questions, ils nous répondaient très rapidement par écrit! Prévoir passer à l’épicerie avant de se rendre à l’établissement, car il n’y en a pas tout près!
• Fiona (9/5): Lovely accommodation but only take it if you don’t mind walking up the castle hill to get there. - Very comfortable and spacious given its location. Lots of restaurants close by and a fun place to staying being inside the castle walls. Easy to access with the key pad.
