• sanathana samartha (3/5): - The room was not well maintained, and there was no hot water available during our stay, which was quite inconvenient. Communication was also a challenge, as most of the staff did not understand English, making it difficult to explain our requirements. Although the staff were kind and friendly in their behavior, the overall service experience was disappointing. After completing the payment, it was difficult to reach the room service team for basic requests like cleaning or arranging hot water. Considering these issues, I would not recommend this hotel for a comfortable stay. The room was poorly maintained and not clean Hot water was not available during the stay Communication was difficult as most staff did not understand English Room service was not accessible after payment for basic needs like cleaning and hot water Overall service was unreliable despite the staff being polite

The vibe and atmosphere at the property was definitely peaceful, quiet, and was literally a minutes walking distance from the beach. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful, affordable, and enjoyable get away. Nothing. Everything was up to standard.

• Tatevik (10/5): A nice accommodation in Weligama 🩷 - Overall I'm satisfied with the accommodation, the staff were very nice, I had great breakfast in Fujisan restaurant every day & also dinner. In general the food there is very tasty and the prices are also very good, other people were coming to eat there. The staff in the restaurant were very nice, polite and attentive. The accommodation is first line, a few steps to the ocean. I liked the beach, very big and not crowded at all, it's so big that you even feel it's all yours. For the money I paid, I guess it was worth it. Thanks for a comfortable & safe stay ❤️ I had a few ants in the room almost every day, but no big deal in such a country, but hopefully no other insects. The room needs a deep cleaning, especially in not visible areas.

• Simon (9/5): Would definitely return. An amazing restaurant (Fujisan) - Thé food in the restaurant was exceptional .The staff were great very friendly and helpful especially Santoosh and Dimootu. The beach was clean and much quieter than the beaches in the centre of Weligama. Great for surfing. About a mile out of town but you can walk along the beach or grab a Tuk Tuk Rooms a little dated

• Elena (10/5): - Very good prices in the restaurant available in the same location, friendly staff, great manager taking care of us as special guests from the house. Thank you for your hospitality... Overall very cozy place at very affordable price, amazing breakfast and sea food platter (find photos attached). Highly recommended if you need a place to sleep, enjoy alive surroundings, bathroom was renovated and the place definetly exceeded our expectation. Easy to travel by TukTuk to different beaches - Mirissa and Turtle beach near by and easily accessible... We regret that we didn't choose to stay for longer time. In Bentota we visited next and it is not so alive, after 7 PM everything is closing and we miss Latheena resort already and Weligama 🫶 First night when we arrived the boiler was not working, however the next morninh a new one was installed without delay. Thank you for acting prompt on it... 🙂

В номере есть кондиционер, была горячая вода, приветливый персонал, но ощущение проходного двора, само место нацелено не сколько на отель, сколько на ресторан при нем. Да ресторан хорош для ужина, но включенные завтраки ужасны. Огромный минус что окна выходят на парковку для гостей ресторана, от чего вечером шумно и многолюдно. Пляж рядом, но грязный, до города далеко.
• Ivona (10/5): - The rooms are clean and well maintained. The location is excellent because it’s not right in the center of Weligama, but slightly aside, which makes it quieter and more relaxing. The beach is also less crowded, which we really appreciated. The staff are very friendly and welcoming, and everyone feels like one big family.

Man muss ein wenig warten und kriegt nicht unbedingt immer direkt alles was man bestellt hat (Asien halt) Kein problem, sie geben sich Mühe und sind super freundlich. Servisa ziņā ievērojami atpaliek no citām vietām kur paliku Šrilankā. Pirmkārt neviens nesagaidīja, nevienam īsti nebija iespējas paprasīt ja radās kādi jautājumi. Neatbilda nekas pēc bildēm. Brokastīs var izvēlēties tikai vienu variantu, par kaut ko papildus ir jāpiemaksā.
• Marek (9/5): - S pobytem jsme byli nadmíru spokojeni a ubytování splnilo všechna naše očekávání. Pokud hledáte místo, kde se budete cítit jako v bavlnce, toto je ta správná volba. Co nás nejvíc potěšilo: Čistota a pohodlí: Apartmán byl perfektně uklizený, moderně a dostatečně vybavený vším, co člověk na dovolené potřebuje. Postele byly velmi pohodlné, takže jsme si skvěle odpočinuli. Ideální lokalita: Ubytování se nachází na skvělém místě, kousek od pláže, což bylo pro naše každodenní koupání naprosto klíčové. Vynikající personál: Celý tým byl velmi vstřícný, usměvavý a ochotný s čímkoliv poradit nebo pomoci. Gastronomie: Přímo v areálu je skvělá restaurace. Musím vyzdvihnout hlavně snídaně – byly bohaté, čerstvé a opravdu vynikající! Celkově hodnotíme pobyt jako bezchybný a rádi se sem v budoucnu vrátíme. Ještě jednou děkujeme za super zážitek!

• James (10/5): A wonderful staff, great food, and a perfect beachfront location. - Amazing hotel. The entire team at Latheena made us feel like part of their family. The location was perfect, right on the beach. We ate at the hotel restaurant (Fuji San) every night. The food was delicious with a wide variety. All of the staff were so kind to my young son. Thank you to everyone at Latheena, we hope to see you again soon. Everything was great.
• Olena (6/5): - Розташування чудове, перша берегова лінія, поруч класний ресторан, в який ми ходили снідати та вечеряти з іншого готелю. Персонал доброзичливий. Можливо якість номерів відповідає вартості, але можна бути простим готелем без претензії на люкс і при тому охайним. Нажаль, нам довелося скасували бронь і знайти інше місце через недоліки, що описала нижче. На фото виглядає краще ніж в житті, як і багато інших готолей в цьому районі. Готель втомлений. Потребує уваги - хоча б замінити розбиті плафони. А краще трохи оновити ремонт - бо місце насправді класне.
• mala (7/5): Homely place right at the beach. - Staff & management were very helpful and friendly. It was like staying at a friend's place. Since we had a late flight, we asked to check out late, almost 8 hours late. They were so accommodating. They even alerted us to get ready in time for our ride to the airport. It's a good place to stay at Weligama. Would definitely recommend it. The light outside our room was on shining through the curtains into our room throughout the night. Need to get thicker curtains.

The restaurant attached to the place was the highlight, great food, nice beach view and access. 20% cheaper price would have made this perfect and value for money.

Dirty rooms, woke up with a larvae infestation in the bed. Found them all over the bed and under the pillow. The day before i got a fried fly with my fries in the hotels restaurant. A nasty stay with exceptionally bad wifi. Would not recommend this to anyone.

Bedsheets and towels were clean. The refrigerator and electric jug was an added bonus. The sea was very rough since it was off-season.
• Katarzyna (7/5): Rodzinnie, 2+2 (z nastolatkami) - Mam wrażenie, że największym plusem tego miejsca jest położenie (przy samej plaży) oraz personel pobliskiej restauracji, który jest również personelem Latheena resort. Pokój rodzinny, który wynajęliśmy był podzielony na dwa pokoje - w większym pokoju z dwoma dużymi łóżkami był 1 wiatrak i klimatyzacja, która ustawiona była na największy nawiew. Niestety, musieliśmy przestawiać nieco łóżko, ponieważ wiało prosto na śpiące dziecko. W drugim pokoju natomiast nie było powietrza, co sprawiało że sen nie był komfortowy. Klimatyzacja absolutnie nie docierała do łóżka (łóżko duże, wygodne, czysta pościel). Mógłby być chociaż wiatrak stojący w rogu pokoju. Przy tych temperaturach spanie w pokoju bez wiatraka i z małym oknem przy suficie było niemożliwe. Proponuję naprawić klimatyzację, a także powiesić wiatrak nad łóżkiem w mniejszym pokoju. Niemniej, łóżka były wygodne, czysta pościel, zadbane moskitiery . Łazienka również czysta, duża. Obszerna szafa. Śniadania podawane w restauracji do wyboru z karty (pyszne!). Również mieliśmy przyjemność jeść obiady w restauracji i nie zawiedliśmy się. Podsumowując, małym nakładem pracy można podnieść znacznie komfort pobytu w pokoju rodzinnym, szczególnie biorąc pod uwagę temperatury, jakie panują na wybrzeżu. Serdeczne pozdrowienia dla super załogi restauracji Fujisan i uściski dla Waszych piesków! Niski komfort spania w pokoju przy klimatyzacji ustawionej na najsilniejszy nawiew, a w drugim pokoju duszno i brak nawet wiatraka. Ale wystarczy naprawa i będzie ok. Mały minus jeśli podróżujesz w 4 osoby: pokój też nie miał żadnego tarasu ani balkonu, przez co ciężko cokolwiek wysuszyć (polecam zabrać ze sobą linkę lub sznurek, aby wywiesić w pokoju chociażby mokre ręczniki).

We slept in a room behind the main hall on the ground floor which made it noisy & We were asked to pay for the stay upfront however we didn’t have the cash money yet, so we agreed on paying at the end of our stay. But then a staff member came to our room around 10 pm the same day to ask for the money which felt a bit awkward.

• Julia (8/5): Great value if you want to visit both, Mirissa/Weligama - Big room with A/C & fridge (provided two bottles of cold water). Multiple choices for complimentary breakfast. Located between Mirissa and Weligama it was great for us as a base to visit both towns. Staff provided good laundry service within 24h at LKR 450/kg. It felt a bit “cold” in terms of service (we were used to lovely homestay experiences on the rest of our Sri Lanka trip).

The path to the restaurant area was steep and dodgy. Confusion with breakfast ordering meant we missed SriLankan breakfast on the first day.

Perfect location right on the beach, the hotel had a great restaurant (Fujisan) - very good breakfasts, a wide selection of different foods and, as a bonus, very good cappuccinos. The hotel is in a quiet part of Weligama, but still close enough to the center of Weligama.

• Natalia (4/5): Extremely disappointed! - Location, quiet, good breakfast I was extremely disappointed by this hotel. I stayed there many times and not by one or two weeks but for a long stay and was planning to stay longer but I had some issues there. In one if the room there were bugs in the bed and I couldn't sleep nights, they tried to clean but of course it didn't help and they didn't offer me from the beginning to change the room. Almost after a week living with bugs I told that I can't sleep at all and after this they changed me a room. Everything was more or less ok, just very weak wifi and connection Then I made booking from 8th of March for three weeks and exactly on the day when supposed to be a check in I received a message that they don't have free rooms and they offered me to find another hotel but when I was doing reservation there were three free rooms. So extremely disappointed by this place, will never again come back and will never come back to their restaurant Fujisan as well

Being just a few steps from the shoreline provided not only breathtaking views but also a refreshing seaside ambiance. The convenience of having an excellent restaurant nearby, which offers a wide array of dishes at reasonable prices, further enhanced my experience. Additionally, the delicious breakfast included in the stay was a delightful way to start the day. On the other hand, there were several aspects that could be improved. The interior of the hotel feels somewhat outdated, and the bathroom clearly needs a modern renovation to match the overall charm of the surroundings. Moreover, the air conditioning system was problematic—it failed to cool adequately at times and overcooled at others, indicating that it might require repair or replacement. Despite these issues, the positive aspects of my stay encourage me to consider a return visit in the future.

You had a choice of breakfast each morning and all choices were delicious. This place is right on the beach. The restaurant attached to the hotel was absolutely fabulous and highly recommended to anybody to use. It was always very busy. I had the sushi a couple of times while staying here and it is the best I have ever tasted anywhere in the world even Japan. food choices are excellent.
• Bella (10/5): I’ll choose this place if I come again! - I’m grateful to the hostess of the hotel, for her attention to my needs, for the way she reacts to my requests🙏 I asked for transfer from the airport- I got it ✅ I asked for a blanket - I got it ✅ I asked for the rules - I got the instructions: you leave the key to the receptionist and ask to clean the room whenever you need it, every day you ask for a bottle of water if you need it ✅ I asked to store my luggage- I got the place ✅ Room is simple but has it all. Breakfast is simple but enough even before the morning training. Staff is nice and tries to cater for the needs of each client. Even though they don’t understand something they solve the problem with a help of their partners. Staff is friendly and makes everything for you to feel comfortable and relaxed. As a recommendation to enhance the service: 1. It would be nice to dust the surface of the parts of the furniture, which are not in use, for example the top of the mirror and the top of the headboard, the fan above the bed even those it is out of use. Helps to make better impression. 2. Speaking of public toilet at the restaurant: it is badly needed to put some nice but readable sign inside of the stall which says “Please do not throw toilet paper and personal care products in the toilet or else there will be trouble»

• Ishanka (3/5): Worst place for the price - Location is near to beach. I was served a foul smell old rotten breakfast. When inquired one staff said it was served by a new staff member. Then another staff member said it was made in a rush before one of his staff went for leave. AC is not working properly the entire time. I have complained several times. They tried to fix it but it's not working properly The room was full of foul smell (sewerage smell) I tried to open the doors and windows but it kept coming. One of the worst stays I've had.

Lovely staff, very friendly. Their cafe is so good and it's right on the beach 😍 I am definitely coming back! They also have a super cute Rottweiler. Extremely friendly and goofy. 🥰 Oh everything was brilliant specially considering the price of this property, you get more than what you pay for.

• Silvie (6/5): Pleasant - Well. No bad, but I do not understand this high evaluation. Room was big, clean bed linen and not bad restaurant, but we found better in town. Nice placement just on the beach, in this part a bit dirty, but ok. Restaurant and cleaning staff nice. We've been there for 4 night, at the end of our 4 weeks trip to SriLanka and this was the poorest acommodation we had. Room was in very used condition, clean, but not much, faucets brokens, wc seat broken, creaky beds. Breakfast really poor. We even met a snake in restaurant. Owner is corect but not like in other places, not helpfull at all, all we have asked for, we arranged by ourselves, surfboards, bikes, even taxi to railway station....not a great experience at all.
• Leanne (9/5): Amazing food, location and friendly people - This was our favourite place to stay in Sri Lanka and we would love to come back and stay again. The food was incredible - and we tried a range of things from the resturant including curries, hoppers, sushi, western food and drinks - it was all incredible. The room was incredibly spacious and clean and the staff were so friendly and helpful. It was right off Weligama beach. Our most favourite thing about Latheena - ROKI! The pet dog - he was so beautiful and our boys looked forward to playing with him each day. Nothing - if you can stay here - book a place! If you can't stay here - at least come to the resturant for dinner - incredible.
• Petmol (10/5): Lovely & affordable place right at the beach - You are just a few steps from the beach which we looved during our stay! The location is great. You can get a good sleep during the night, it was very quiet and peaceful, we really enjoyed our stay, would definitely recommend, I wish we booked more than one night :) -
• Helen (8/5): Good location, comfy beds. - Nice, clean room. Really lovely staff. All was good.
• Mehedi (10/5): This was our second stay there. It feels so homely. The rooms are clean and spacious. The staffs fulfilled all our deman - The clam and quite environment.
