• gary (9/5): Location location - Perfect location, only minutes to everything in central, 10 minute walk to the beach. Quite ,comfortable big bed , shower with a wand and lots of hot water. And also supplied us with large jug of water for filling up water bottles, bonus. Would help to have a few more cutlery and kitchen supplies but only there for 3 days so it was ok.

Abbiamo apprezzato molto il gesto di averci dato i teli per il mare, l'ombrellone e lo sdraio. In più trovare acqua per tutta la permanenza è stata molto gradita. In casa non manca nulla. I didn’t think to take photos but what you see on their listing is accurate. Nothing, only that they didn’t have capacity to extend my stay!

• Florida (10/5): - Everything was perfect for our stay, starting from the bed big and comfy, super clean everything and the owner was really kind explaining us everything from the island and answering every question we had. He even own a little bar near, breakfast was so delicious!

The accommodation is very central, next to Playa Norte and Playa Centro. They cleaned it every day. Thanks!!! I loved that he offered water to refill the bottles. This way there is less plastic so it contributes to having a more sustainable island. I wish all hosts would do this. We loved everything but to mention something, maybe it would be helpful to have a cloth in the kitchen and more hooks to hang clothes or towels. Other than that, all perfect. We loved the room, the accommodation and people working in it.

• Martina (9/5): Superb - What can I say... perfect! The host was kind, helpful and friendly. He showed us what to do and see on the island. The accommodation was clean and had all the comforts. Breakfast at the host's bar was not to be missed! Possibility of using beach equipment (umbrellas/deckchairs/beach towels)... essential to avoid getting baked in the sun... if we ever return to Isla, I will definitely look for availability in this structure. Highly recommended.

• John (9/5): Majid and his team gave us an excellent experience! - This hotel is awesome -- it's centrally located within a 5 minute walk to the main beaches of the island, was immaculately clean (and freshened up every day while we were out doing things -- bed made, bathroom trash emptied, etc), the bed was comfortable, and the staff was super helpful and kind. They also had beach towels, chairs, umbrellas, and coolers available to use for free, which I thought was a really nice touch (saves you a lot of money not having to rent a chair at the beach). (One other note -- the photos that are on booking now (may 2025) don't NOT do the room justice -- they make it look kind of dark and dingy, and in person it was well lit, clean, comfortable, and maintained well.)

• Sean (10/5): Perfect spot for 3 nights on Isla Mujeres - Wonderful host greeted us upon arrival and gave advice about activities and restaurants on Isla Mujeres. Perfect location near walk street and beaches but still quiet (because the rooms face away from the noise). Comfortable bed, strong AC, nice design of room. Free water refill. One block to walk street. Three blocks to west beach (our preference) or north beach (everyone else's preference). Free bag storage before or after stay. Really recommended! Higher room requires several stairs (just be aware if you have an injury). No breakfast or coffee included, but there is a little cafe attached (and plenty of nearby options!)

Has beach chairs and umbrellas for use. Very safe. Host met us and gave us the 411 on Isla. Super nice guy. Small breakfast place in front. Try the green juice.....Overall great value, good matress, good A/C, good hot water, extremely clean, great location.

We always had cold A/C, warm showers, clean towels, and a comfortable bed. Our hosts were so kind. We will be back! Not a single thing to complain about.

The owner Majdid went above and beyond with explaining the local areas and all the good spots to eat. They also have a great little cafe/restaurant attached that has an amazing breakfast. Would go back here in a heart beat. If it's avaliable then book it. You won't regret it!

The room was perfect, the courtyard was lovely, and the breakfasts were delicious.  It was on a great street, one street over from the really busy main street, and more traditional.  A 5 to 7 minute walk to the beach. Simply a perfect location with a great vibe. Nothing- it was perfect!

• Anonymous (10/5): AMAZING - I love the location. It’s right on the other side of Hidalgo which is where most of the bars and restaurants are. Even tho it’s close I turn my white noise on and I don’t hear any of it at night. The room is extremely clean and housekeeping brings towels every day and changes sheets. The room gets SO COLD which is amazing and the water pressure is also amazing and had hot water the whole time. The host is so nice and friendly and any time we asked for anything (iron, beach towels, etc) he had it to use within 5 minutes. There is also a breakfast spot connected to the property and is complimentary. Also there is a sweet kitten always hanging around which isn’t relevant I just loved her lol. He has beach equipment you can use for free and I was skeptical about being on the first floor but there is a gate you have to have a key to in order to access the property so I felt extremely safe. If I ever come back I will only stay here Everything was great. No complaints
• Andrea (10/5): Best choice - They knew roughly when to expect us because the second we arrived someone came to let us in and show us our room and explain everything. As long as you look at a map this place was pretty easy to find as it’s on a main road. Walked from the ferry and it took maybe 5 min. Bed is SO comfy. The kitchenette was so useful, we used the fridge to keep leftovers and the microwave to warm it up later. The air con was perfect. Loved the soap and shampoo. They offer towels, umbrellas and chairs for the beach though we didn’t use it. The location really is perfect. We didn’t hear party noise at all at night but we’re just down the street from all the bars/restaurants/market. We got a great vibe from the place. We decided to dive with Squalo Divers and they are literally 1 min down the street so that ended up being even more convenient!! Hot Tip: apparently these sites don’t always reflect the availability well. Contact Madjid directly via his website to book if you want the best price and to double check availability! If I’m looking to pick on something: They say they want to conserve water but they came into our room every day and changed the towels we hung up to reuse.

He cooks a delicious, wholesome breakfast as well. :) The location is fantastic - quiet street super close to restaurants, shops, and the beach. Don't forget to bring cash! We stayed at a resort before this and spent most of our cash. This was the first place that requested to be paid in cash, but I didn't read carefully. Madjid accommodated me with PayPal, which I really appreciated. :) There were too many mosquitoes for comfort. We got many bites. My husband spent an hour clapping his hands and got 4 mosquitoes in our room. A friendly local recommended Off! Mosquito repellant.

The place is located 5min walking distance from one of Mexico's most beautiful beach Playa Norte. There's also lots of cute shops and restaurants right around the corner from the hotel. We highly recommend to visit Isla Mujeres and stay at Elements of the Island. Not applicable

• Alison (10/5): Super comfortable with everything you could possibly need. - The location is just a short walk from the ferry, Playa Norte, Playa Secreto, the market, shops and restaurants , and the east and west Malecons, so you don’t even have to get up super early in order to catch the sunrise as the beach is only 5 minutes away. The owner Madjid was so welcoming and gave us lots of advice about restaurants and places to go, even though we arrived an hour earlier than expected, and it was his day off! Everything we needed was supplied: fridge, coffee maker, toaster, microwave, a tank of drinking water, even beach towels and beach chairs (we have never had that before!). Housekeeping every day, even though it is an apartment not a hotel room, and spotlessly clean. Majdid runs the cafe too, open until midday, offering various different breakfasts, which seemed very popular with guests as well as other island visitors too. There’s a rooftop area above the cafe with table, chairs, hammock and shower - great for relaxing in the shade in the heat of the day if you don’t want to sit on the beach or in the apartment. There’s a limited number of things to do on Isla Mujeres and if we hadn’t been made so comfortable here, we would have tired of the island long before our five day stay had ended. Thank you, Madjid! Wherever you go on the island, loud music is constantly blaring out from bars and cafes, and as the apartments are so close to many of these, you can hear it in the room until 1 or 2 am, which often made it hard to sleep. Fortunately we could sleep during the day instead, but I feel sorry for local residents who have to endure it all the time.

The place felt very safe and super close to walk to everything in the Playa Norte area. The shower water pressure is so-so but that is often the case in Mexico.

The room is in the best location close to everything and was just perfect. It really made our trip staying here! The host is so welcoming with the cutest little cat. Monica who greeted us with our keys was also lovely and was waiting outside for us even though we were later than expected. Room was cleaned every day and WiFi was excellent too! Best place to stay on Isla Mujeres Everything was perfect, no complaints at all

• Lp (10/5): Perfect stay in Isla mujeres - Fantastic boutique hotel! The room is so beautiful and comfortable. It got cleaned every day and had a beautiful terrace. The best thing is it's location. It is super central to everything. Main bar/restaurant street is one block away, the north beach and ferry station just 5-10 min walk away but yet it is SUPER quiet. We slept wonderfully. Madrid was super kind and gave us a great introduction of the island with great tips and recommendations. As I had to work a couple of days, the wifi connection was very important to us and it worked perfectly. Best place to stay in Isla mujeres❤️

I love that its such a small property that it feels peaceful. The breakfast was delicious. The staff was nice and attentative. The owner greeted us upon arrival and provided suggestions to sightsee and places to eat. I would come back here for sure!

The AC was poor and needs adjustments because it did not cool off the entire room, I woke up sweating in the middle of the night several times during my stay. Water pressure in the shower was mediocre, but can’t expect much since it is an old building. The cleaning lady also was very nice and cleaned daily, however my main concern were the bed bug bites I experienced. I really hope they focus on cleaning and washing their sheets regularly. I would definitely like to stay here again, but only if they pay attention to washing their entire linens thoroughly; bed spreads, bottom and top sheets and pillow cases.

Our host Medjib (sp?) went out of his way to direct to the best restaurants and we can’t describe our satisfaction with his recommendations.
• Karine (10/5): Perfect !! - Nous avons séjourné 3 nuits au Element of the Island et nous avons adoré l’hôtel. Chambre très propre et très fonctionnelles. Cuisinette avec réfrigérateur, micro-onde, grille-pain, cafetière, le tout très apprécié !! Lit et oreillés très confortable. Salle de bain très jolie avec douche seulement, jamais manqué d'eau chaude et bonne pression d'eau. Air climatisé fonctionne a merveille. Wifi dispo dans les chambres inclus dans la location. L'emplacement est parfait, proche de la playa norte et des petits marchés et rue principal. L’hôtel nous mets a disposition des chaises et parasols de plage ainsi que serviettes de plage. Petit hôtel de seulement 3 chambres très chaleureux, jardin intérieur très beau !! Le propriétaire est super gentil !! Il n'y a pas de réception, nous faisons affaire directement avec le proprio. Restaurant au rez-de-chaussé, excellent !! Nous allons y retourner c'est certain !!! Je recommande fortement l'Element of the Island !!!
• Verified traveler (10/5): Hidden Gem on Isla - We were in Cancun for 2 weeks and wanted a 2 day getaway to Isla Mejueres. We wanted to be close to Norte Beach and downtown. By chance we found this gem of a hotel. The location and price drove our initial decision. The owner, staff, and amenities will drive our decision to come back again and again.

Keskeinen sijainti, hyvät sängyt, iso huone ja aivan loistava isäntäpari jonka palvelutaso ja ystävällisyys teki lähtemättömän vaikutuksen. Mikäli etsit kohtuuhintaista majoitusta ilman luxusta, niin tätätä voin lämpimästi suositella. Lisäksi omistaja pariskunta tekee pientä korvausta vastaan hyvän aamiaisen, joka on myös muiden alueella asuvien suosiossa.
• Margy (10/5): Great space right in town - This is a very nice studio with everything you need half a block from Hidalgo Street. We didn't hear any noise during our stay. It has a small kitchen and a nice shower. A jug of filtered water is there which is very handy. It has a small patio and shared rooftop space with nice views. The king size bed is very comfortable. Definitely the most comfortable bed we've ever slept on in Mexico and I think more comfy than our bed at home. Mahjid was there to meet us and to show us anything that we might need. Would stay again, also the cafe has delicious food.

• Tomoki (10/5): Awesome location, staff, breakfast, room! - Ok, so this is probably a hidden gem of a stay here on the island. Host it super friendly, and a word to the wise, listen to his recommendations for places to eat! Breakfast is probably within the top 3 on the island. Given how reasonable it is, I'd put it easily at No. 1 among all the other places I tried. Place was kept clean during our stay, and never had a problem. In short we will want to come back here (if it's not booked!)
• Verified traveler (10/5): Delightful place to stay - We had a delightful stay and we would stay here again. Rooms were clean, service was marvelous and the cafe downstairs is quaint with great food. There is a small refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot, toaster. Adequate for simple food, but really, just go out to eat, since the food is so good.
• Immuno (10/5): Family with 3 yr old. First trip to Isla Mujeres. - This was our first trip to Isla Mujeres. Before going, we had several questions and messaging with our host was prompt, informative, and friendly. The hotel had three apartments, one on each of 3 floors and we stayed on the 2nd floor. The location was fantastic. It was less than a 10 minute walk from the ferry, with quick access to the adjacent walking street that featured street vendors and many excellent restaurants. The Elektra cambio (money exchange), located on Avenida Guerrero in an electronics store, was less a 5 min walk away and, beside there, we used Ciros for renting a golf cart.
• Jenni (10/5): Perfect hotel close to the beach. - We stayed here last year and loved it so we chose it again this year. We found the bed a little firm the first time around so we messaged the owner and he put a foam on our bed which made it perfect. The cleaning lady is fantastic. She seemed to learn our schedule and would go in while we were out and our room was clean when we came back. Love this place and can't imagine staying anywhere else. Great restaurant on site as well.

• Verified traveler (10/5): Best hotel on the island. - Elements of the Island is perfectly located 5 minutes walk from Isla Mujeres most popular beach, from the shopping and restaurant scene and 7-8 minutes walk from the port where the ferry from Puerto Juarez drops you off. The accommodations were pristine. Immaculate bathrooms, tidy kitchen, and elegant sleeping. Ask the host for recommendations regarding what interests you (tours, restaurants, renting a golf car). He knows who has the best deals on the island and even knows a taxi driver who will drive you between the airport in Cancun to Puerto Juarez to catch the ferry at a third of the price the taxi drivers at the airport and Puerto Juarez charge. The restaurant downstairs serves an economical, fabulous breakfast! We had such a great stay that we wish we could have stayed another week. Look no further if you seek a clean, well-kept, quiet, modern hotel with outstanding customer service for a reasonable price!
