• Sheila (10/5): Stayed here several times. It’s a great place and I highly recommend you try it yourselves. You will not be disappointe - Beautiful building with access to town and river. The place is spotlessly clean.The amenities are excellent and the staff friendly, helpful and really put icing on the cake. Which by the way is served every afternoon. All food erred is well cooked and tasty. Nothing I loved it.

The location of the property is excellent as it is in the centre of town within the town walls and is easily accessible to train and bus links and also lovely walks around the town. Everything was very good for our stay

Le personel est adorable et accueillant. Le petit déjeuner est correct. La douche et l’odeur désagréable dans la salle de bain. Le lit trop petit.

• Susan (8/5): - The ability to cook a meal in the self catering kitchen instead of yet another pub meal! The downside being that the nearest big supermarket is the others side of the bridge from the hostel. Good location for walking the old walls and by the river. I thought I had booked a twin room but as happened previously, I was allocated a 6 bed bunk room. I find bunks too clostraphobic so was moved to a room with bunks plus one single on it's own. Apparently there is only one twin room so this happens frequently!!!

• daniel (8/5): Great location but bring back bunks! - Great location in the old town 1 min from the walls and estuary. No longer offers dorm beds, which is kinda the whole point of a youth hostel. So a solo traveler has to book a whole room with 2 bunk and 2 single beds. The room itself was en-suite but not especially cosy.

• Sandi (10/5): A safe, comfortable and welcoming stay with excellent service, I would happily stay again. - I had a wonderful stay at YHA Berwick-upon-Tweed and would highly recommend it to others. Before my arrival, I politely asked if a quiet room could be provided, and this request was kindly accommodated. I was allocated a room with five bunks, which was absolutely fine and did not affect my comfort at all. The facilities were excellent — the showers were clean and well-maintained, and having access to a kitchen to make a hot drink was a real bonus. Everything was tidy, and the atmosphere throughout the hostel was peaceful and welcoming. The other guests were polite and friendly, which made the stay even more enjoyable. I felt very safe as a solo female traveller, which was extremely important to me. Communication before and during my stay was brilliant; I phoned ahead to let them know I would be arriving slightly later due to work commitments, and this was handled with understanding and ease. A special thank you to Scott (I believe that was his name) who went above and beyond to help. He noticed I was unwell and kindly offered lemon and honey for a hot drink, which was such a thoughtful gesture and truly appreciated. This level of care made a real difference to my stay. After a difficult experience at a previous accommodation, staying here completely restored my confidence and comfort. I would like to sincerely thank the team for making my stay so smooth, safe, and comfortable. I will definitely be booking YHA stays again in the future. I honestly can’t think of anything I didn’t like, everything about my stay was positive and comfortable

Ogni letto ha una luce e la presa per caricare il telefono, non serve l'adattatore Struttura non semplice da trovare, non capivamo quale fosse l'ingresso. Il bagno avrebbe bisogno di un po' di restauro. Non ci sono appendini dove mettere l'asciugamano. Fondamentale portarsi le ciabatte per fare la doccia. Il mio ragazzo ha perso una maglietta, abbiamo contattato la struttura il giorno dopo ma hanno detto di non aver trovato nulla :(

Bar/food/reception area was great. Brilliant value for money. Bathroom blind was mouldy and there was a chair in our room that had what looked blood on it, which I cleaned. Just made me uncomfortable thinking if they miss those things, what else didn't get cleaned?

The room and accomodation in general was excellent value for money .The room we stopped in was spacious and clean with enough storage units. Breakfast was very good and no complaints .Location was good but be aware that the YHA is situated at the bottom of a steep bank . Nothing at all ..

Toda la arquitectura y decoración es fantástica, nos encantó la mezcla de lo antiguo con lo moderno, sin duda volveríamos a este lugar. Entiendo que por el tipo de negocio hay cuestiones difíciles de manejar, pero la habitación no estaba limpia, más que decir de suciedad era de olor, tanto en la habitación como en el baño, pienso que si usaran mejores productos de desinfección podrían alcanzar un justo nivel de limpieza, en general estaba todo limpio y las sabanas y camas todo muy bien, repito era más una cuestión de olores desagradables que seguro causados por huéspedes descuidados, aún así el deber del hotel sería solventarlo, me hospede en 2 hoteles más de la cadena y estaban impecables en ese sentido.
