- Jeffrey (10/5): Fabulous!! - everything especially the gracious hostess!!... and the room and the bed and the decor and the breakfst and the quiet and the location and the heating system in middle of winter and the and and and etc..etc....!! nothing!!
- Sharon (10/5): -
- Andrea (10/5): Was ganz Besonderes!
- david (10/5): Will absolutely be back. - The Corners Mansion Inn is an amazing property with great atmosphere and furnishings depicting the era. The hospitality that Macy and Joe provide is warm, welcoming and inviting. The candlelight breakfast is delicious and don't ,if at all possible, don't miss the tour of the house following breakfast. It is very informative not only about the history of the mansion but covers many key points about the Siege of Vicksburg during the civil war. Our stay was short, but we will be back.
- Mark (10/5): - Macy was a wonderful host. The room very nice, and the home was spectacular. Also a wonderful breakfast.
- Sally (10/5): It was a trip back in history!! - This was our first experience of staying in a Bed and Breakfast and it was absolutely a wonderful treat!!Macy prepared a scrumptious breakfast!!!
Corners Mansion is a magical place to stay and learn about the original family that lived there! An experience I highly recommend! Having an extra day!!!
- Jason (10/5): - Lovely Historical Property.
- Patsy (10/5): - Hostess & owner Macy was so congenial and accommodating. She changed rooms for us as we all are "older" and did not want to try to maneuver the stairs to upper rooms. The breakfast was so delightful, the table setting was so lovely! We enjoyed our view of the river from the chairs and front porch swings. Would definitely recommend and would stay again if we're in the area.
- William (10/5): Exceptional -
- Christina (6/5): Pleasant - Bed was excellent. Breakfast was good Steps up to the room were difficult. I did not like that there was no shower!!
We could not get any volume on television.
- John (10/5): - Very quiet and comfortable.
- Anita (1/5): Would not recommend and feel this should be removed from the Booking.com website - Unfortunately, there is nothing about this bed and breakfast I would recommend The room had an awful smell of damp we had to keep the windows open and did not unpack
The tea tray had not been cleaned and had medication form previous guests on the tray.
We had to take the coffee machine into the bathroom as no plugs available to plug into
Dust everywhere
We were not supplied with breakfast; we looked in the information and coffee was served at 7AM in the parlour, we went in at 8.15am to cold coffee and a iced bun!! no staff around to ask for fresh coffee or breakfast, absolutely appalling, there is a hotel across the road where our friends stayed and they said it was beautiful.
- Alexandros (10/5): - The property is a historic building along the Mississippi shore. Macey is a fantastic hostess, eager to elaborate on the history of the house and Vicksburg in general. This was a very special stay
- Justin (10/5): - Absolutely loved it! We will be back!
- Arleen (10/5): Exceptional -
- Michele (10/5): - Great place to stay
- Georgette (8/5): Very good -
- Charlotte (10/5): - Relaxing, beautiful home overlooking the Mississippi. Host very attentive and a fantastic cook. Enjoyable conversation sharing experiences and commonalities. Well worth a stop in Vicksburg.
- Shannon (10/5): - We had a nice quick visit there. Very cozy & would like to return when we have more time to explore.
- Randerson (8/5): Very good - The history is amazing. Maiaey the host was fabulous. Loved it!
- Bridget (10/5): Exceptional - It was an awesome experience. Enjoyed meeting the other people staying on the property. The host was great and loved to hear the history of the mansion. Breakfast was great.
- Lia (10/5): - Beautiful old home with all the old furnishings and decor- lots to look at and feel like you have stepped into another time. The room was very comfortable. Macy gave great recommendations for dinner and we had an excellent meal. The neighborhood is transitional. We didn’t have any issues, but it made a walk from the hotel less appealing.
- David (10/5): Fun, comfortable, interesting. - Great place. Learn about Vicksburg history when you’re there. Breakfast was awesome. It’s fun to meet people from all over the world. It’s very lush and green there, but that means insects like mosquitoes.
- Michelle (10/5): Lovely historic B&B with a genuine hostess!! Breakfast was a real treat! - Macy was the ultimate hostess!! She provides a welcoming environment, was flexible with check in times and provided a lovely sit down breakfast - made by herself! She provided a tour of the home with historical knowledge. Would highly recommend. I had the “library room” which was quite cozy! Wasn’t comfortable walking by myself after dark the few blocks to the historic district.
- mark (10/5): Corners Mansion Inn - The hostess Macy is terrific. She prepared very nice breakfasts each day. She also provided a good tour of the Inn and made sightseeing recommendations.
- Loren (10/5): Exceptional -
- William (10/5): Exceptional -
- Christopher (9/5): Superb -
- Deborah (10/5): - Very quiet and the hostess is very accommodating providing a one of a kind experience.
- Jonathan (10/5): Great stay and tour of the house. - Breakfast was great, delightfully prepared and delicious.
- Arne (9/5): Superb - The breakfast were fantastic and the owner/manager was als so friendly and nice.
- Noel (10/5): - Wow! What a treat to stay at this beautiful historic home with such gracious hosts. We were impressed with the room, which was even better than expected. Lovely antique furniture, well appointed bathrooms, and a connecting room with twin beds for our kids. Breakfast was delicious and elegantly served in the dining room. Property and grounds were so pretty. We enjoyed the historic tour, too. I would love to stay again next time we are in the area. Much more interesting and fun than staying in a hotel. Thanks for a great experience!
- Moore (6/5): We had a pleasant stay - I felt like it could have been better maintained outside. Had I known the surrounding neighborhood I might not have booked it. Neighborhood and the outside appearance
- Steven J (10/5): - This mansion is a beautiful property, with a wonderful host and a great history. The breakfast was absolutely great and Macy was an amazing hostess.
- Stephen (10/5): - This is my second stay here. Lovely historic home in a quiet corner of the town. Very comfortable bed. Nice sunset views from the porch. The owners are superb hosts. Just remember it’s an older home, not a modern hotel, so don’t mind the “special charm” that goes with it!
- Alan (9/5): Would return. - Fabulous room in splendid mansion. Great breakfast. A little hard to find.
- Balfour (10/5): excellent - location , food, room size nothing
- Deborah (10/5): - Almost Everything was perfect. Lovely house and great location. My only three minor comments: side yards needed some culling, and there was a musty smell in main house and in our quarters(the older units.) (to be expected in a very old house?)Lastly, I prefer a firmer mattress. Very pretty, well decorated, lots of little details n extras. Macy is lovely. Food was great, view is fantastic.
- Stack (10/5): A step back to nintheth century south. - A traditional breakfast with French toast and everybody sat down the same time so we could meet hosted by the host .
- Elaine (10/5): Exceptional - This was a marvelous and historical place. Macy filled us in on the history and fed us an amazing breakfast. We had an amazing view of the Mississippi River from our veranda. It was like stepping back in time, but with modern amenities. The extra bonus is that it's dog friendly. Our room was upstairs, so if you're not able to do stairs, request a lower room.
- Mark (10/5): Exceptional - Breakfast was great. The house is located in a quiet area and close to downtown attractions.
- Marlene (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lisa (8/5): - My husband and I really enjoyed this old historic home for spending the night. Our host Macy made it very specialized. Home cooked breakfast. Tour of the this home from 1875.
I prefer my beds a little firmer
- Ronnie (1/5): Will never stay there again - Meeting the guest and breakfast The room we had was a hole in the wall, the stairs to the awful room were straight up. It was a chore to get the luggage up. The room was small with nasty carpet. I’ve never stayed in a room that bad!
- Leslie (10/5): Southern Hospitality, Great Decor - We thoroughly enjoyed our hosts Macy and John and their great B&B! Macy gave a wonderful tour and John cooked up delicious breakfasts. Macy helped us work out a car issue, and directed us to nice restaurants for dinner. It was in walking distance to lots of attractions. We would highly recommend Corners Mansion Inn!
- Charles (10/5): - It was a wonderful place to stay. Our host was so kind, food was delicious, room was amazing and the area (including home) was full of history!
- Robert (8/5): Very good -
- George (10/5): - Great old home restored with love and care! Great breakfasts! Enjoyed breakfasts with people from other countries who were staying there.
The home tour is fairly quick and the host provides a lot of history on the Battle of Vicksburg and other historical facts about Vicksburg.
- Laura (10/5): - Macy was an excellent host and provided a home tour and history of the family and property. Our family of 4 stayed for one night while passing through. Breakfast is shared among a common table at 9am sharp daily. Coffee is ready at 7:30am. We met interesting travelers and enjoyed visiting over breakfast.
The room we stayed in only had a bathtub but it was lovely. There is Wi-Fi and TV in each room as well as coffee pots. The area around Corners is in the process of gentrification so some may feel unsafe traversing the neighborhoods, but we felt safe and comfortable at Corners, in downtown and at the many sites and museums around town. We look forward to coming back to see more of what Vicksburg has to offer.
- Terry (10/5): - beautiful and majestic and historic
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Lovely old home in the Vicksburg Historic District. Owners were friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and spacious; owners provided amenities such as early morning coffee and pastries; delicious breakfast provided. Would visit again and recommend to friends
- Kathryn (10/5): -
- Tom (10/5): - Very unique experience. Property is beautiful.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The atmosphere was perfectly charming and historic. Very comfortable furnishings as well as antique. House tour by the owner was very informative about the house and the families that lived there. We came to Vicksburg for the history so this was an added delight. Coffee served in the parlor before breakfast as well as makers in the rooms and breakfasts in elegance was something we were not accustomed to - but certainly did enjoy!
- Douglas (10/5): Late July Visit to Corners Mansion - We had a lovely stay at this history-filled property. Each room was furnished with period-related antiques and furniture. Breakfast was sumptuous and no one left hungry. Macy’s post meal tour was entertaining and informative. Kathy and I had a great stay.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - A unique bed and breakfast experience! Macy (the owner) is extremely knowledgeable of the history of both the property and Vicksburg, and has a great collection of artifacts found on the property. You feel like you have stepped back into th 19th century. Thank you, Macy! We’ll be back.
- B (10/5): Awesome Stay - This is such a Awesome Beautiful place with Awesome host the place to stay when anywhere near Vicksburg we both loved it
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Love the historical buildings, beautiful furniture and paintings. Room #4 had a great view of the Mississippi River and wonderful sunsets in the evening. The breakfast were phenomenal. The host & hostess were very friendly and helpful in directing you in town to see the sights and restaurants to visit.
There wasn't anything we didn't like.
- JIm (10/5): A Treasure - Joe and Macy are an absolute delight. They make sure everything is just as you like it. Our guest room was lovely and comfortable as well as the whole mansion. The breakfast, prepared by Joe, was delicious and we enjoyed the formal setting of the dining table and most of all Macy sitting and sharing herself with all of us. Whenever we come though Vicksburg again, we will be staying at The Corners Mansion Inn for sure.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Beautiful old mansion restored to a great place to stay
- Judy (10/5): Corners - We had a great, relaxing stay! The breakfast was the best we’ve eaten in any B & B. Would absolutely stay again. The owner was so friendly and fun to chat with.
- James (10/5): My first experience at a BNB was a good one. - I enjoyed the facility, and the staff was friendly and informative. We were given helpful information about thing to see and do in Vicksburg. I would have liked breakfast earlier than 9. There are a lot of stair steps between the parking area and the entrance.
- Julie (4/5): - 1800's home with view of Yazoo Channel. Part time staffing. Needs work. One single breakfast option.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Authenticity, beautiful views! Rocking chairs on the porch!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - I loved the rear courtyard and the porch we had adjacent to it.
- Deborah (10/5): - Excellent
Host was wonderful
- Linda (10/5): A charming place to stay - A charming inn. And the owner was very helpful in telling us places to eat and sight see and obtaining a tour guide for the Military Park. (the only way to see the Park is with someone who has knowledge of what you are seeing!)
- Teri (10/5): - The rooms were beautifully furnished with wonderful antiques and comfortable beds. So accommodating and friendly.
- Ulla (10/5): - The room was big and nicely furnished with pretty antiques. The bed was very comfortable and the property was very quiet, so we were not disturbed by anything.
The only improvement I would suggest might be some kind of shower in the bathroom.
Our 3-day stay was very enjoyable!
- Ron (10/5): - Very nice historic mansion. Very friendly hosts. Great breakfast.
- Pritchsrd (10/5): - Enjoyed my stay they were very nice and the breakfast was excellent
- Kerry (10/5): - Beautiful Vicksburg bed and breakfast, convenient to downtown Vicksburg and the the Military Park. Gracious hostess, delicious breakfast, absolutely a wonderful experience.
- Charles (10/5): Great hostesses, breakfast, beautiful view, quant. - Great breakfast, very friendly owners, beautiful setting.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Nice bed & breakfast but had several problems - Check-in took forever!! The owner took phone calls while we stood there waiting for her to finish checking us in. The room was nice but had no air circulation. There were no room vents nor windows connecting to the outside that we could open. Very hot & Stuffy. The worst problem was that the tub was VERY slippery. It was almost like the maid put slippery cleaner on the tub floor and forgot to wipe it down.. My husband fell as a result and cracked his head and neck on the wall and floor. The head wound bled profusely. Luckily no emergency room visit was necessary but we felt the owners really didn't care too much. We got a weak "sorry" and no attempt for any type of help or compensation. The owner said to us "I guess it's tough to get old" We didn't appreciate the remark and my husband is NOT old.. The issue was the tub.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Fun Inn - It is a nice historic Inn with delightful owner/hosts
Quiet location and convenient to the town and historical site.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice home, shame about the town. - Comfortable room in beautiful 19th century residence. Very helpful host and great breakfast. Unfortunately Vicksburg in general is somewhat rundown - would not recommend straying too far from the house at night.
- Clifford (10/5): Soothing Corners - Macy and her husband, Dan Lee, where outstanding hosts, professional, and knew the history of the house and the area around them. It was a very relaxing atmosphere and extremely comfortable. The only negative is the town of Vicksburg is essentially shut down on Sundays making it hard to find nice dinning. The town has potential for tourism, but lacks the initiative and vision.
- BRENDAN (6/5): - Pretty ordinary room. Bathroom was tiny, no wi fi. Bed was small, and squeequed every time we breathed.
- Bronwyn Ann (10/5): Beautiful mansion and stunning accommodation - I am proud to be able to review this amazing hotel. The mansion has a rich history and the owners Macy and Joe love to share the history of the mansion and its previous owners. The rooms are absolutely stunning and have so much charm. They are extremely comfortable. All the guests sit down to an amazing breakfast together in the dining room which is such a nice touch. I cannot wait to visit this place again!
- Traci (8/5): B&B with history tour! - If you are planning a visit, or just a stop, in Vicksburg then a stay at Corner Mansion Inn is a terrific pick, particularly if this is your first visit to the city. First, they do a great job with emails confirming your stay and asking if there is anything they can do to make your stay more comfortable. Second, the inn is full of history and beautiful to boot! Third, the owners make really good recommendations on places to eat and things to see. Last, but perhaps best, the breakfast is really yummy (during our stay it was omelette, fruit, grits, biscuits, orange juice and coffee!) and the tour after breakfast is really interesting if you enjoy learning about the history of an area or a house.
