- Renee (10/5): - The staff went above and beyond to take care of us. Our local flight was cancelled the day before our stay and Joseway sent a driver to pick us up 6 hours away. He also took care of all our excursions. Rodrigo took care of our made to order breakfast every morning and is so kind. It is a Great location! It’s a 3 min. Walk to the beach and 5 min. to Manuel Antonio National Park.

- Paul (10/5): - Beautiful property in only a few minutes walk to Manuel Antonio. Quick and easy check in and out. Only a few rooms so it never seems crowded. Surrounded by trees, and you’ll hear/see birds and if lucky even monkeys.
- Steven (10/5): Heaven in manual Antonio. - Very enjoyable hotel experience. The staff was extremely friendly and very helpful helping us get taxis or a book tours. Breakfast was nice and pizza at the hotel by the pool was very good. On the hotel grounds, we saw frogs, iguana, and many types of birds.
- William (10/5): - A wonderful little hotel in a great location. It was a 3-4 minute walk to both the beach and the national park. I would use again. The staff was very courteous and helpful. Breakfast was very good. I even had the pizza one night (they have a wood burning pizza oven) and it was very good. Parking can be a bit tight. I believe there were about 10 spots but it always seemed to work itself out.

Pros- towals where available for the beach, and the pizza they serve at the pool where great, 4 min walk to beach and the area was great, Manuel Antonio park tour is a must, it is beautiful and all different animals where incredible, but the best was the employees at the hotel where awesome.

- Oleg (10/5): - Out of many hotels in the area of Manuel Antonio National Park, this one is located perfectly, allowing quick and easy access to the park and to the public beach. Other hotels could be located much higher on the mountain, requiring quite a challenging hike to and from the beach. This hotel is clean, the staff is friendly, and their included breakfast is very good, with several made-to-your-order dishes. We enjoyed staying there, and would stay there again if we decide to visit Manuel Antonio again.

The young lady at the front desk was very helpful with explaining what is around the area and even the maintenance person reminded us we could stay after check out to enjoy the facilities. They offer continental breakfast on the go and you can order some hot food options. The wood fire pizza offered pool side was very good as were the drinks. Overall a great stay and would definitely stay here again.

The room we had was spacious, cool with efficient air conditioning and very comfortable. Ours had a small deck where we watched capuchin monkeys in the tree above us. Despite its proximity to the hustle and bustle of the park entrance, the hotel was a true haven with a lovely pool, which had a bar and a wood fired pizza oven. All in all, we had a five star stay at a very reasonable rate.

Common areas seemed “cute” although we didn’t get to enjoy them properly. The breakfast on the other hand was disastrous! Mugs were dirty, flies were stuck under the platers covers, the pancakes tasted like flour and eggs were bad as well… I’d recommend the hotel in general but suggest you have breakfast elsewhere.

- Verified traveler (10/5): Conviniently located hotel. - Nice, comfortable rooms. Ample spaced bathroom with dehumidifier included. They serve buffet breakfast. Within walking distance to the public beach and the national park.
- Lauryn (8/5): - Pros- Small hotel Balcony or terrace was nice to sit at in the evening Pizza and cocktails were good at the hotel Hotel was very clean Staff were friendly Man at the bar (sorry didn't catch his name) was great, quick to hand out menus and take orders. Lady who cleaned our room was so happy! Pool clean and lots of sun loungers Water filter for fresh water Grounds were maintained to a high standard Air con Bed and pillows comfortable Cons- Needed a few extras in the room. For example, chair at the desk, place to hang wet clothes outside and information in the room about the hotel and surrounding area (lots of info at reception however) Quite a walk away from main restaurants and bars (some near by and hotel gave us a coupon for Morpho Bar which was fab and just along the road. I had to ask about this though- would be good if maybe that was part of the info given in the room) Noise does travel but to be expected. The hotel is quite quiet after 9-10pm ish until 5am We enjoyed our stay and would recommend if you want a clean and comfortable hotel to stay in Manuel Antonio that is close to the park and beach.

Hot breakfast options could be better. The pool is very small, so if there are kids around, it's pretty much unavailable to adults.

Variety on breakfast offerings could be improved , however the food was very tasty and staff friendly! If e were to visit we would consider staying at La Vela again !
- Natalie (8/5): No anniversary surprise 😢 - Most of our stay was good but I ask one of the front desk stay to have a bottle of champagne in of room on our anniversary to surprise my husband, and it wasn’t there when we arrived back to our room after our anniversary dinner. I was very disappointed

- Ana Laura (10/5): - We had a wonderful stay in this tiny but cozy hotel. Rodrigo took excellent care of us. We had the best breakfast here. One minor problem, we could never get our tv to work,called the front desk twice and still no TV. Will definitely will stay here again. Close to everything and very affordable.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Tucked away in the middle of the tourist district and backed up to the rainforest, this hotel was a perfect home base. Easy three minute walk to the ocean, bus, shops and the Park. Hearty breakfast “typical” or omelet included. Gorgeous landscaping provided privacy and intimate gathering spaces. Pool with bar and brick oven for pizza was perfect for much needed rest days. The hospitality by all the staff was outstanding. They were friendly, happy and worked well together. By the end of the week, they felt like family. Clean. Beautiful. Pura Vida.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - It is a beautiful place to stay. Certainly reasonably priced, for all the offerings. Michael greeted us at the front desk. He has been wonderful ever since. Every inch of the property is perfectly manicured. Our accommodations are very comfortable. And, the pool bartender makes the best sangria ever! They do not have a restaurant but they have a woodfired pizza oven instead! It’s phenomenal ! And I live in New York. I know good pizza! We’re surrounded by beauty every day. We can walk to the beach in less than five minutes. I highly recommend this place to anybody who likes a comfortable bed and clean facilities and most of all a wonderful staff to make sure everything is going as we planned:)
