• Nella (9/5): Caccia al tesoro - Tutto quello che abbiamo trovato all'interno ci è piaciuto. Lo staffe,,ka pulizia e il prezzo eccezionali. Non ci aspettavamo il letto a castello( non figuraca nella foto) La confusione sul nome della struttura ( il Brighton Beach era un hotel sulla Promenade ora trasformato nel B&B Room with a View), il fatto che non ci fosse stato fornito l'indirizzo e la presenza di pannelli e impalcature che occultavano completamente le facciuate , ci hanno causato gravi problemi: perdita di tempo, dusoridntamento , stanchezza e nervosismo. Abbiamo riversato tutto questo sul personale della reception, che con ammirevole pazienza ci ha distolte dall' idea di andarcene.

• Roberta (2/5): Not as the pictures. - The staff were nice and kind, especially the volunteers. The location is just next to the pier. The pictures you see are not the real views of the place; basically, they show the beginning of the place. Now it seems dystopian compared to the pictures. The cleaning services are very poor, mould and dust everywhere. No privacy in the room due to a lack of curtains in the bunkers. Do not expect a buffet breakfast, just bad quality service. and the coffee machine is puagggfff... The room smells of feet, and impossible to open the windows, so I use some eucalyptus oil to be able to breathe. the bathroom, mould, and carelessness. All services, like lockers and towels, are extra cost. Noisy as hell, roof, corridors, doors, it is clear that the building is an old building that was open with a make up and go treatment. Not a good experience.

• Ashleigh (7/5): Decent hostel option - Female-only dorm available; heaters in the room so it was warm; earplugs available; great central location; generally clean and tidy. I didn't find any toilets/showers outside the room (may be there are some, but if so I wasn't informed when checking in), which is not great if the one in the dorm room is occupied. Having to prepare your own bed with linen etc as a guest is not very good, especially as I arrived around midnight and felt this disturbed the others in the room.
• Caren (5/5): Needs improvements - The staff were great and the location is very convenient. The place is staffed and key card secured with clear ID check requirements which was good. I was placed in a room with all men on the first night which I didn't feel comfortable with, but the staff were helpful and swapped me to a different room the next night. The toilet in the first room didn't flush fully and the toilet was stained and the whole place was not super clean. There was mould on the grouting, dirt on the blinds, and the carpets were stained. The bed space was fine and has a reading light and charging port but lacked privacy and there were no lockers in the rooms so it was not possible to leave items in the room. Have stayed at many better hostels and was disappointed by this experience especially at the price point of >£40 a night.

• Julie (9/5): Nice stay - Ideal location , close to shops , pier and sealife aquarium . Comfortable beds . You can have breakfast although we didn't . There is a lift to all floors . We had private room so you do get towels . Nice bathroom with bath rather than just shower. Would have been nice to have kettle in private rooms , although there is coffee machine by the entrance .

The room was filthy, the tv didn't work at all and there was literally no view thanks to the dirtiest windows i've seen and huge amounts of scaffolding out our window full of litter!! We weren't warned about any of the construction and it really ruined the room

• Caroline (4/5): - Location was amazing, views from two sides across the sea. Room was absolutely huge. Bathroom was decent size and a table and chairs looking out to see. Lots of amenities and some staff were great. Most of the staff were extremely unhelpful and didn't seem to know how to do things on the hostel app or what was available/ allowed. They need some training and some lessons in customer service. One staff member was brilliant and really friendly. Unfortunately I don't know their name. The window didn't close fully or lock and there was scaffolding up to it, making us feel vulnerable. The bathroom was a bit dirty. The bed was huge, which was great, but extremely uncomfortable. Thin mattress in places, gave me a painful back / nights sleep. It was extremely noisy at night time, even on the top floor..

• linda (10/5): Great location, lovely staff, good facilities. - Easy check-in, friendly staff, secure storage. Good size communal kitchen with good facilities, albeit a little dated. Nothing not to like, you can’t help the noise outside from late night revellers, which were really noisy.

• John (10/5): I enjoyed it and plan on using again when I do return. - The atmosphere was amazing and truly welcoming. The staff was so professional, empathetic, friendly, respectful, and fun to engage with. Lucy was an amazing staff member who definitely left an impression. The only issue was we weren’t able to get our room we had booked right away.

When the music event at the neighbouring venue ended at 11pm, a rowdy crowd congregated below my room window, shouting, screaming, breaking glass bottles. When I gave up hope of a good nights sleep and checked out at 3am, there was still a crowd of 30 loud people in the street outside. Not worth the room low price.

The staff were friendly and helpful. This was my first time staying in a hostel. I didn’t like the fact dorms were mixed. I was the only female and it was uncomfortable. I think this should be changed to single sex rooms throughout. I won’t be staying in one again. It isn’t for me.

The bed and pillows were very uncomfortable; I wasn't able to have a good night's sleep any of the nights I was there. My wife was pregnant and we asked the kitchen staff if the cheeses were pasteurised and they didn't understand what pasteurised meant. Maybe they need a bit of training...

My only ish with the hotel is that it was hard to locate this is unconnected with the ongoing refurbishment. I recommend a good signal should be placed outside in the interim. While I was trying to locate the hostel I called the customer care but nobody responded I was put on auto call.

• Louis (10/5): Perfect for Saturday night stay in Brighton for 3 in a 4 bed dormitory - Amazing location, Super friendly and Helpful staff at check in, suited all requirements Currently Scaffolding present but required for renovation understandably
• Anna (9/5): - Friendly and helpful staff, incredible value as rooms very large Good communal areas with pool, board games & Subbuteo. Able to leave luggage in a secure area outside of room occupancy times. For the price, there was an impressive selection at breakfast and the pancake machine was a major novelty! Nothing which was the fault of the staff, if you go to breakfast 10 onwards it is the last hour and they try to be eco friendly so hot food won't be at its best nor replenished at that time. The building is a historical one with the creaks and wonky floors you expect- so probably not the best for those with mobility issues.

• Sean (4/5): - Good location Advertised as a hotel on Booking.com but it was a hostel. Bed was crazy uncomfortable, shower head didn’t stay up. Single glazed windows. Could hear everything outside, upstairs and downstairs. No tea and coffee facilities in private ‘hotel’ room. Wanted to order a drink and food but no one to serve me on the bar so gave up and went somewhere else.

Toilet door was hard to close. some guests in upper room are disturbing. keeps on running and you can hear the their feet banging the floor. April 13-15, 2026. The receptionist Omar just said the "quite time is 10pm".. so meaning other guests can do whatever they want even they disturb the other guests because still not in quite time?

Have told others to stay with you. A chair or two in my room would have helped, and small table by the bed.

• Ketan (7/5): Great Hostel with convenient location to Beach and Station - Excellent location with close proximity to the Beach and Brighton Station. I can to run the Brighton Marathon and it was the perfect location. Staff very helpful and managed to leave luggage after checking out which helped with picking it up post marathon. Minor point about some bed side lights on the bed frame in the dormitory not working.

• christophe (4/5): Déception par rapport aux précédents séjours - Emplacement toujours idéal C’était notre 7e séjour dans cet hôtel mais le premier depuis le changement de direction. Le lit était branlant et la douche à peine tiède. Le petit-déjeuner qui était bon avant, s’est avéré être devenu très mauvais et très cher.
