- S (9/5): Very pleasant room in a perfect location for exploring Cheltenham and its festivals. - The young man looking after the property and guests was very kind and helpful. The location was perfect, central and near the jazz festival locations and parks as well as shops. The room was very nicely decorated and spotlessly clean as was the rest of the building - a lovely Georgian? building on the Promenade. There was a kettle and microwave and tea, coffee and milk. I had a very pleasanst stay and would certainly return again. The room became very hot and the fan thing didn't work very well and I had to use my bag to hold the sash window open. At night the street was very noisy with people partying (weekend) - the double glazing made the room quiet but then it was hot! Maybe provide a small desk fan?

- Hannah (8/5): I would recommmed this room - was great fun being altogether with my friends and sister. Very good value for money as it - Excellent location and tidy on arrival. Easy to access and cute kitchenette for teas and coffees. Excellent value for money. The shower tray was damaged and so you had to avoid standing on the cellotaped area (!) but the shower itself was good. There was a lot of nighttime noise but it was the night after the races so I would suggest guests bring ear plugs (!) but I guess that’s what you get being located so near to the centre of town.

- Stephen (9/5): Our accommodation was exactly as described. The kitchenette was perfect for our 2 night stay. - The location of our room was excellent. All the amenities were within easy walking distance. The radiators in our room were working perfectly and we were very warm; in fact we turned them off most of the time. It was initially difficult to use the outside code reader. Luckily a member of staff helped us.
- Gwen (8/5): Excellent for a short stay in the centre of Cheltenham - Excellent location. Room was quiet. Bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was clean and well equipped. Our room was a little cramped and the dark wallpaper made it a bit gloomy in winter daylight. However, other rooms are bigger and lighter. When we arrived we weren’t sure we were at the right address and there was no doorbell to ring. It would have been helpful to have the welcome email explaining how to access the property sooner and for there to be some signage as it is not obvious from the street that the property is a hotel.

Friendly owner who helped with the heating and offered top ups. Bit of a faff to get in and out: codes for 2 doors difficult each time when weather bad, hands full of umbrella, bags, etc.

I arrived early and wanted to leave my luggage, but the entrance code hadn't been sent to me, so I had to call the property, which was a bit of a hassle. This isn't a normal hotel, so it might be a bit of a problem for people who want to leave their luggage in advance. By the way I never got entrance code…

My bedroom was on the top floor - good view. Fridge was a bonus especially as it was an exceptionally hot day. I had difficulty with the automatic check-in system but was given help when I rang the property.

Not a problem as I travel light and saw this in the description when I booked. The shower was wonderful and I liked having a mini fridge.

- Ronnie (1/5): Hellish experience - Nothing. - The room was boiling hot - There was no fan and A.C and no advanced warning that the rooms in the summer would be very hot. Too hot to sleep in. - One window opened, but then you could hear drunk people shouting and screaming coming out of the clubs and cars racing around with loud music, people fighting and sirens going all night long until approx 7.30 am. It was a hellish experience. - The shower hardly worked so my partner couldn't even wash her hair - The floor of the room above was creaking whenever people moved. Overall a complete waste of money and totally overpriced.

- Verified traveler (6/5): It was okay… clean linen - Great location, though access to windows from outside made it feel unsafe in a very bustling nightlife town centre with no security on windows and no aircon, so we had to open the windows for air flow. The mini-fridge was moldy with a small bottle of milk. There was a half empty glass container of granola, which we assume was the “breakfast” in the advertisement, but did not eat as there wasn’t enough for the two person reservation nor clean enough to look sanitary. Linens were clean and room was cozy. We didn’t get the code until less than an hour before scheduled check-in when the ad says 24 hours and the email 2-3 hours before, so we fretted that the reservation even was held during our 3 hour drive there with no communication until the last minute. Comfortable enough, for a single night stay for a business trip, it was fine. Would not recommend as a holiday stay, nor one that someone is accustomed to decent hotel service. Definitely a maximum 2-star situation. But kind enough email communication and clean lined to sleep in.
