Très calme, on y mange très bien, les chambres sont cosy et les lits très confortables, nous avons également aime la salle de bain en plein air. Prévoir 10 min pour rejoindre le centre de Canggu (utiliser Grab c’est très facile) , nous recommandons.

Sitting by the pool and having complimentary tea, free yoga, staff was really friendly. Pools are big enough to swim laps. Walking distance to a coffee shop (left). 10 min ride from Canggu beach. Staff was really helpful. Free water as well which is important since you cannot drink non bottled water
- Devin (10/5): - This place was such a great start to my Bali trip. The property is beautiful, serene and quiet. The staff was more than welcoming and took care of every need or request. The food was good and the room was very clean. I had a really great massage at the spa and felt very comfortable. The location is away from the city center (5-10minutes), so you will need to get a car or bike to get to the beach or shops. 10/10 experience, thank you Kalapa!!
- Vianna (2/5): Old and run down - The staff is excellent. They went out of their way to rectify every situation. But the facilities are old and worn out. The entire mosquito net structure dropped onto our bed while we were sleeping. The bathtub was dirty and the outdoor toilets were filled with caterpillars. After this incident the staff immediately aceeded to my request to change rooms. They gave us the shambala which was a bigger nicer room. But it was difficult to lock the main door. At night the stray cat opened the door and came into our room looking for snacks. Overall it was a very painful experience only made bearable by the staff. But looking around, this might be the best available in this location which I picked because it’s near bali mma. There are no other facilities or places of interest around this area. Will never come back

- Verified traveler (10/5): A Canggu Gem - I loved my stay here. The staff was friendly and helpful and the overall atmosphere was very peaceful. I was very happy with the location of my villa as it overlooked the pool that was surrounded by many trees. I also enjoyed the free yoga classes. The only feedback I will give is about the spa. The towels used to cover the face area on the bed are very rough so it was uncomfortable for me to lay there with my face on it.

Love the slow and zen pace in kalapa. mattress is comfy, room is tastefully decorated. love the garden. staff are very friendly, and treated you just like old friends. love the yoga classes by Ibu wayan - and wish for the resort would offer 2 classes per day instead of just one. However, maybe some points for further improvement. water pressure in the shower a little weak. Because of its location, waiting for bluebird taxi may also take a while. Other than that, the view of paddy fields from the second pool is now no more - but not really a big problem.
- Verified traveler (10/5): The best for some R&R/Wellness Break - Highly recommended if you wish to do not much, laze by the pool, do some yoga and have some spa treatments! I had an absolutely amazing stay here. Set in a gorgeous oasis, with only a few cabins, it was perfect for a bit of R&R. Staff were lovely - if you do wish to venture out they are very helpful with taxi’s etc. The 3 hr couples scrub/massage/flower bath package was the best pre-long haul ending also. Thanks to all the staff for a beautiful stay. I’d return in a heartbeat.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Traditional Balinese peace away from Canggu noise - This is a beautiful thoughtful authentic hotel where you can feel back to nature from the more modern bustle of Canggu. They have an easy shuttle so you can still get to the beach. One thing to note is that all breakfast is 1 package, you will get charged the buffet price for ordering 1 dish off the menu so you may as well get the hotel rate with breakfast included. The restaurant was very accommodating with my food allergies but it’s more expensive here than a restaurant in town. Spa was fantastic! My bedroom was incredibly comfortable. The shower and bath pressure were good. Also being in stand alone cottages means you have very little noise from any other guests. Wonderful stay!!
- Florence (10/5): Quiet boutique resort for RRR - Lovely character hotel with a cosy and authentic feel. Loved the room, the details were perfect and the staff were excellent at helping me with arranging transport and food. Restaurant was small but had a good selection.

Staff were attentive and kind, they often went out of their way to accomodate our requests and were patient with our questions! Would definitely recommend this place to a couple or anyone who is trying to get away from the hustle & bustle of city life. The resort it a bit secluded, so I recommend renting a scooter to explore the nearby beachtown or simply staying in and enjoying the property.

- Rhiannon (10/5): Peaceful haven near Canggu - My friend and I stayed here for a night to relax at the end of our holiday and it was pretty idyllic. Our room was decorated beautifully (really enjoyed the giant stone bathtub) and the staff were all kind and helpful. Free yoga was a nice touch too! The hotel is very scenic and feels secluded and peaceful. Breakfast was great, only point to improve was that the restaurant seemed to run out of a few ingredients at dinner. This wasn’t a huge issue however. Would definitely recommend.

Even if you pay a guest fee, you would have to pay an extra "Bed Fee" of 500,000 IDR to have an extra sleeping, and the bed is just a mattress on the floor as the rooms are quite small. I would recommend this resort for couples only who loves natural design and don't mind the jungle life.

- Verified traveler (8/5): - We had a pleasant stay at Kalapa Resort. The villa with private pool was very romantic. The service was amazing, the people were so lovely. The resort is not close to the Centre of Canggu, but you can easily rent a scooter or bike at the reception. The yoga studio is nice (but very hot!). We stayed here off season, so it was very quiet. Don’t stay here if you are really scared of bugs, because the bathrooms are open and the resort is in the jungle. One night a huge spider fell on my head, when I was on my bed reading the news on my phone which caused a small heart attack. The staff helped me get rid of the spider. Not something you can avoid when you choose a villa in the jungle with open bathrooms, so no hard feelings, but it’s good to keep in mind that the villas at least have an open bathroom.
- Nona (10/5): - Beautiful and serene place to stay . perfect for honeymoon or just to wind down and escape the hectic Seminyak or Kuta beach. 5-7 minutes motorcycle Pantai Batu Bolong and not possible by walking. Room is extremely cosy, and the whole place is filled with cosy spot to chill and read books I can't even choose where to . Pool can be cleaner but I suppose the whole place is pretty hard to thoroughly clean as there's plants everywhere. Staff was super attentive and polite. Love the yoga class they had by Danijela. Will definitely stay here again but longer!!

The initial room was the basic room which is a wooden hut. We loved it. It was the best bed that we ever slept. We slept likes angels. The place has a great atmosphere, nice pool, fresh breeze blows at the restaurant
- Antony (6/5): Construction works nearby - Beautiful little hotel. Great decoration... But construction works going on from 6am till end afternoon every day. Specifically bothering for the 2 largest villas, the larger swimming pool and the restaurant area. Some of the pics on the site do not reflect reality (specifically some poil pics that don't show the constructions on going) The management should not rent the villas closest to the construction works. Reading other reviews available online, it's been going on for many months. After complaining, we were taken to a beautiful villa in a small complex... but not for all nights and it's been a pain moving back and forth.

The free morning yoga was excellent, there was construction going on but not a problem,in fact made it interesting watching the comings and goings of the workers. Staff attentive and food great. Choice of two swimming pools, all fabulous.
- Marvin (6/5): Honest Critique - So my girlfriend and I decided to stay at this resort because the reviews were great and it was affordable. When we got there, all of a sudden we found out that they were doing construction. Our room did not look quite like the presentation on expdia. And when we got back to that room later on that night the air didn’t work and it was very hot. Called the front desk and they people come check it out. Couldn’t fix the issue that same night but they really tried! Then we tried showering and the water barely had any pressure. The first night was terrible. I spoke to the manager who was very nice and apologetic. They gave us a free spa treatment which was nice. Later that week we had problems with the water being turned off randomly due to maintainence. But no warning. The hotel has a great friendly staff and they did the best they could. But this resort doesn’t deserve 4 stars at this point. Can they improve and be a top notch resort ? Absolutely, but they have a long way going. And the location is not good. You can’t walk anywhere. They offer complementary shuttle services, but only drop off. It’s not ideal.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Room for improvement - We stayed few nights within the hotel during our Indonesia trip. The place is located around seven minutes drive from the Canggu center, which is ok. During our stay there have been lots of construction works ongoing in the hotel (started few months ago and should continue for next few months), so during the day, staying next to the pools would be challanging due to noises from all of the grinding/drilling works. We have been informed by the hotel about construction works one day prior arrival and due to cancellation policy, we were unable to change it anymore. There is very weird system with the breakfast offered at this hotel. You need to order it one day in advance for exact time, but even then, when we came the breakfast was never ready and we had to wait an hour for it (which e.g. is a french toast or porridge...) each day. I cannot find any explanation for such organization. Also during our 4 weeks stay in Indonesia, the food at this hotel we liked the least. The rooms/villas are great and spacious. In general if the construction works are finished and restaurant service is improved, the hotel could be really good.
- Steven (10/5): Stunning Hideaway in Canggu! - It's my last morning at Kalapa, and I've loved my time here so much that I felt compelled to write something before leaving. My fiancé and I picked this place on whim through hotels.com. When we booked it, there were not any pictures at the time, but it looked nice enough, and the selling points for us were; 24hr check-in, and airport shuttle. They also offered complimentary shuttles to the beach which we thought were plus! Little did I know, we hit the jackpot! From the airport pick-up (we arrived after midnight!) where the driver had bottles of water and cool face towels ready for us, to the room -which literally left us STUNNED with it's outdoor bathtub, the lush and green resort grounds, the beautiful (and tasty) restaurant onsite, daily yoga classes (free to guests!), and the beyond kind and friendly staff; we couldn't ask for more. Our stay here was magical. We normally get out and get going to explore a new place when we travel, but we were so taken aback by how lovely this place was, we stayed onsite our first day here. So much thought was put into the design of this place, down to the the placement and variety of charging ports outside the our room in the lounge area. I can't recommend Kalapa enough. It's near Seminyak if you want to explore that town, but not stay in it's craziness. Thank you Kalapa! We'll be back for sure!

The hotel location was sort of far from the city center/beach however on motorbike it was close enough! The breakfast was good and changed each day which was nice. The pools were clean. - Verified traveler (10/5): My favorite place in 50 years of travel ! - This place is like a high-end Bali plantation. The buildings are modelled after traditional Balinese houses & farm buildings. Materials are all natural & recycled, & every detail is perfect. Features two pools, one on a hill looking out over a rice paddy. It has big green plants hovering over the edge so you can hide from the sun. The other one, a traditional Balinese pool with water-spouting stone statue & a resting pagoda. The grounds are beautiful with a bridge over a stream & stone steps & plantings everywhere. It's in the hills above Canguu...a one hour walk to the crazy beach area through a quiet neighborhood turning into a buzy un-touristed town area with great local food. Our favourite's were BBQ chicken at the Padang food warung & the lady who sell's rice, coconut, pandan sweets. The staff at Kalapa is wonderful...they are attentive but leave you alone to enjoy the peace & quiet of this amazing place. They serve some tasty food, so you really don't have to leave !

- Alex (10/5): Must Stay! - What a beautiful place to stay. Would highly recommend, the room was extra special with views over looking the rice paddies. The staff couldn't be more helpful and the eggs Benedict are a must! Over all and wonderful peaceful place to stay. Oh and make sure you have a bath under the stars!
- Verified traveler (8/5): Perfectly Situated Resort - Good value for money and charming resort in Canggu feels like you are completely in Nature. Gives you the Ubud vibes in Canggu. The Staff were helpful, however office hours end at 6PM. So you would be left only with security, which was fine if you don't have major requests. Everything was great, the outdoor bathroom and shower give you a unique experience, only downside is that we really struggled with the wifi the whole week, if you are at middle to far end from the reception and Breakfast was average. The hotel will accommodate a motorbike for you if you need too. The manager was very kind and makes sure everyone is comfortable. A nice jungle and quiet experience. Highly recommended. - Sophie (10/5): - Resort was beautiful, wifi didn't work very well and didn't reach our room however the resort was extremely beautiful and peaceful
- Verified traveler (2/5): We left the hotel - The hotel is nicely decorated but you can feel that the owners are sitting far away. We booked for a weekend and stayed one night. We asked Reception for a taxi and they called a friend..we waited for 40 min and ended up over paying for the fare (no meter). We asked Reception to call the restaurant to advise we were going to be late.. They didn't tell us we would miss the ¨final order¨. We arrived at the restaurant to find the kitchen closed. The restaurant is a top restaurant in Seminyak and they told our Receptionist that the kitchen would be closed by the time we arrived.. She didn't think it was important to tell us. Next day we asked for a scooter. We were told by Reception that they had one on the premises for rent. Two hours later another ¨friend¨ arrived with a beat-up scooter that had an empty tank, smelly helmets, and did not look safe to ride. We left the hotel for another hotel after sitting around half a day waiting for Reception to get their act together. All the bathrooms are open air, there were ants in the toilet paper, the bath tub was full of bugs and dirty, some animal crapped on our sheets and it´s impossible to sleep with all the noise that frogs, monkeys, and other animals throughout the night.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Beautiful oasis. - Really nice spot with two great swimming pools. The top one overlooks a rice terrace which was cool. Very rustic rooms with outdoorsy bathrooms. They were renovating some of the larger rooms when we were there. We had a bit of a poke around, and they look like they'll be fantastic when finished. The location is a little bit out of the way. We had a motorbike (which they organised for us) so it wasn't a problem. Only about 7 mins drive to the beach area. Nice staff too, would stay there again.
- Jane (8/5): A gem outside the busy area - As my title says, this hotel is a 10 min drive from the busier Canggu areas. To get there you absolutely need a car (or scooter if you are brave enough), and hotel offers 2 free shuttles a day there and back. Outside their shuttle schedule they offer rides for extra cost. Later by comparing my taxi rides back to the villa I learnt that the price is actually half of what Kalapa offers (120 vs 60). We downloaded the Blue Bird app and ordered a pick up at the hotel for about half price (you do need an Indonesian mobile number to get their activation code but you can always ask someone's local phone number and punch the code into the app to activate). Staff truly lives up to their reputation: they are friendly, kind and will accommodate any request. Breakfast is changed slightly every day and it's out of 2 choices: Indonesian breakfast (rice, chicken etc) which is savory (I tried once and it was quite nice) and American or European (eggs, bread, fruit) but that I enjoyed less. Coffee is very watery (we asked for extra strong and that was honored but still just too watery), eggs benedict were always overcooked and the tropical fruit bowl is just a smoothie in a bowl. Location is great is you want quite. We stayed in one of their suites and it was fabulous- big, all gorgeous wood, wonderful bath tub, comfortable bed and lots of other nice touches: lounging area (day bed), another sofa, eating corner, etc. Just gorgeous! Worth every penny. Highly recommended this place.
