Guest Reviews
- Jane (8/5): - Friendly, helpful employees The breakfasts seem to be made to order but mine was a little messed up.
- Maura (9/5): - Staff and breakfast were excellent. Enjoyed the old decor. The courtyard was really nice to have some down time from exploring. Byo wine and snacks! A little tough with street noise at night on the first level, that's not their fault.
- Aileen (8/5): - Great location and quiet. Also they had private parking. Very dark. Decor could be updated. Breakfast was ok.
- Joseph (10/5): -
- Victoria Best (10/5): -
- Jen (10/5): - Location is great! Within walking distance to the inner harbor. Clean rooms, good amenities. We arrived early and they gave us access to parking and a room without prior warning. Great breakfast, delivered to our room! Everything was excellent.
- cassandra (10/5): Wonderful non-corporate place to stay! - Location, the luxury of the room, the decor, the friendly staff and the individuality of the hotel. Plus easy parking! No maid service the entire 3 nights we were there.
- Davide (10/5): -
- harzo (8/5): Very good :) - The hotel has a great location near the city center and the pier, which made it very easy to get around. The interior design was really interesting, with a strong 1800s vibe. There was tea available in the room, and coffee along with fresh cookies in the lobby 24/7 — the cookies were delicious. The bathroom was huge, and the bathtub with a massage function was a perfect way to relax after a full day of sightseeing and walking. Breakfast was very good, and it was nice that you could choose what you wanted to eat and the time, then come to the dining room when everything was freshly prepared for you. The electric sockets were in some unusual places, but that’s most likely due to the fact that the hotel is located in an old building.
- Rebeccah (8/5): - A really lovely experience -- the staff were so kind and warm, breakfast was excellent, the space was charming and the location just can't be beat.
- Tim (4/5): Fun but dirty - The staff is amazing. The building was lovely and very retro. I wanted to give this place a top rating because the people were nice and the building was great, but I had roaches in my room.
- Beverley (10/5): What a find! Great staff, lovely room and good location - Beautiful boutique hotel. Lovely atmosphere and decor. Perfect location with free parking. Amazing breakfast! Nothing to dislike
- Tracey (10/5): - Fab breakfast and home made cookies
- Dawn (9/5): - Breakfast was wonderful!! The fresh fruit was amazing. The staff was a little flustered when we arrived Friday morning and just wanted to leave our bags. We knew we couldn't check in but they seemed a little frustrated that we were asking
- Leon (10/5): - Stunning Checking in was a challenge
- Harris (10/5): -
- Julia (10/5): I loved the inn and would stay again for the room and location, but not for the breakfast. - Very nice room with beautiful interiors, marble floored bathrooms, and comfortable bed. Breakfast was plentiful but not that great - omelette was a bit spongy.
- Rachel (10/5): Nice local honeymoon historical and romantic location - Quiet little getaway tucked in the city with beautiful outside soft lighted courtyard
- Gregory (10/5): Wonderful facility with great rooms and a super welcoming staff. - Breakfast was excellent, staff was EXTREMELY friendly, not a single negative during my stay.
- Crawford (9/5): - Great customer service and the breakfast was so good.
- Andre (10/5): -
- Jones (8/5): - The breakfast was wonderful! Having it delivered to the room was a nice touch, especially because it was very cold outside. The room was beautiful and we didn't see other guests really, so it was like having the place all to ourselves. The only complaint that we had was that there were not enough plugs in the room.
- Keith (10/5): -
- Julianna (10/5): - Everything was perfect and I would most definitely stay again! Room was super cute and clean. Breakfast was delicious! The only “negative” is that we need more syrup brought with the 4 pancakes for breakfast.
- Roxanne (10/5): You will not be disappointed! - Very quaint, clean and comfortable. All staff members were exceptionally nice. The courtyard and patio were charmingly beautiful. The breakfast was very good and with excellent presentation. The room was clean, comfortable and well stocked. The private whirlpool tub is why I booked this room originally….and I loved every minute of it! I will definitely be returning here♥️ Loved it all!
- Nicole (10/5): A great experience, they went above and beyond. - They were very accommodating and they made a special plate of chocolate dipped strawberries for my boyfriend at breakfast because it was his birthday It can be a bit difficult to come and go in the late evening hours because they chain the doors shut from the inside but it is somewhat understandable being in downtown Baltimore.
- Cheryl (10/5): It was a wonderful experience. - When you go in you feel like being back in the 1800's the furniture is beautiful. The staff is great and will go out of their way to help you. I can't say enough about this place. It's with walking distance to all the pier area. I wouldn't change a thing.
- Amanda (10/5): Just about perfect - The hotel has a classic charm to it. Staff was so friendly and all smiles The bed was slanted a little. Lol

- Kindra (9/5): - Breakfast was great. Onsite parking. neighborhood made me a little nervous

- Mercedes (10/5): This quaint property is my favorite place to stay in Baltimore, it’s a glimpse at beauty gone by. - The rooms are extremely Comfortable, Clean and wonderfully designed. This property is quite lovely behind the little white wooden door. The location required at least for me that I utilize a food delivery service however, this is just the direction most establishments are going in at this time.
- Amber (10/5): Love - Everything. Pretty room, courtyard, friendly. Telling a friend looking for a wedding venue.
- Wendolyn (10/5): Luxe getaway - but felt like a steal! - Luxe feel from decor to linens to breakfast to fresh-baked cookies! Free parking, great location by Little Italy and walkable area, and just a gorgeous historical property with every detail just perfect. DOES have elevator although 3 steps up to front door. To book, you MUST call the property to confirm. Our Booking.com reservation was cancelled twice without notice - there is a gap between Booking.cim and the property.
- Dorothy (8/5): - The parking was not secure. My soft top Jeep was vandalized.
- mark (9/5): -
- Christopher (9/5): -
Delightful and refined in a historic setting, tastefully furnished, perfect down to the smallest details.
A feeling of complete comfort.
The superb breakfast can also be enjoyed in the garden.
Very central location for exploring the city on foot.
It offers excellent free reserved parking.
- Jeremy (10/5): -
- Jamie (10/5): Excellent I’ll be back - Cozy The parking lot needs paving
- Kerstin (8/5): -
- Marlee (10/5): 10/10 - Everything. It was beautiful!
- Leroy (10/5): - Close proximity to everything in the inner harbor. Parking was free and the nightly rate was very modest given the area. And the cooked to order breakfast was great!
- Judith (8/5): Very good -
- Judy (10/5): - Very spacious rooms, wonderful outdoor space and excellent breakfast. Highly recommend
- Lynne (10/5): Feels like the old day staying here, but really comfortable - It's completely historic and comfortable at the same time. personalized breakfast brought to your room was a really nice touch. Nothing
- JoAnna (8/5): - Walking distance to Inner Harbor. Delicious Restaurants close by. Breakfast and parking included. Nice tub. We enjoyed learning about the history of the inn.
- Gary (10/5): - Great breakfast, room is spacious and comfortable with old world charm
- Autumn (10/5): Blissful and delightfully luxurious. - Lavish on the roses and candles, spotlessly clean, generous with their water (one of the best shower heads I’ve ever experienced), and delicious strawberries! (With the basic romance package). Anything “modern” was tucked into cabinet doors, giving rooms an authentic look. The drapes were magnificent and the staff friendly. Checkout time gave us relaxed morning. Really….the best stay!
- Verified traveler (6/5): Beautiful but noisy inside - The patriot room is next to lobby and across from kitchen. It was loud with doors shutting and things being moved around until 2 AM then started again at 7 AM so terrible night sleep. The noise was from the inside areas. No noise from the street.
The room itself was beautiful and the shower was strong and clean. Modern updates.
Breakfast in the morning was delicious and huge!
If it wasn’t for the noisy night this would be 5 stars across the board, but the main reason you stay at a hotel is to sleep.
- Anahit (10/5): Exceptional -
- jenae (10/5): - All was well
- Thomas (10/5): - Service was amazing. Everyone was so kind and friendly. Room was super comfy, quiet and had great air conditioning. Loved it. Breakfast was awesome. Parking is easy.
- Christa (10/5): Highly recommend - We would highly recommend this property to anyone staying in the inner harbor. It was conveniently located, ALL of the staff were super friendly and helpful, the breakfast was delicious and the room was great!
- Brian (9/5): Superb -
- Kee (9/5): Superb -
- Susan (10/5): - Quaint historic hotel. Absolutely loved it. Wish we could have stayed more than one night but we were just passing through. Would absolutely stay here again if we come to Baltimore.
- Verified traveler (10/5): A must ! ✨ - We stayed in the 103 liberty room & loved our stay! The inn was easy to get to, and the on site parking makes leaving your vehicle safe and convenient. Check-in was super easy and everyone was very welcoming :)
Can’t say enough good things about this place, there’s 24 hr coffee bar (with complimentary cookies), a lovely patio and included made-to-order breakfast! The soaking tub and walk in shower is a great addition. The water pressure is a 10/10. The only thing about this room specifically is that it shares a wall with the kitchen so breakfast can be a little noisy. It didn’t bother us but if it would for you that’s something to think about. In walking distance to most things. We’ll be back for sure.
- Tonia (10/5): - I enjoy staying in historically preserved B&Bs. The 1840s Carollton Inn does not disappoint. The staff was very friendly. The room was comfortable. And, Breakfast was great!.
My only drawback was driving to get there through Inner Harbor traffic, but once you arrive, there is onsite parking that was secured. There were many restaurants within a short walk and I felt safe walking by myself.
I would definitely stay again.
- Uri (10/5): Exceptional -
- kerry S. (10/5): - We loved our stay! It was excellent to order a full breakfast and determine the time of delivery, where ever we chose to eat it that day!
Highly recommend!
- Dawn (10/5): Exceptional -

- Suzanne (10/5): - A quiet location with in easy walking distance of Inner Harbour, East Harbour, Fells Point and a block away from the excellent Reginald F. Lewis Museum. Wonderful hospitality from all staff and beautiful, period rooms with a great bathroom. The breakfast was delicious and cooked to order. Would always stay here when returning to Baltimore.

- Kaitlyn (10/5): - I love historic aesthetics of the inn and ways that Charles Carroll was incorporated into the history. I was especially grateful for breakfast in the morning; this truly exceeded my expectations. I loved that everything was in walking distance. I cannot wait to come back!
- Robert (10/5): - Beautiful, historic inn. Staff was excellent, room was excellent, breakfast was excellent. Walking distance to Baltimore Inner Harbor, Little Italy, etc.

- Shari (10/5): Bday Getaway - My husband chose the hotel for his birthday getaway weekend and we were both very happy with the stay. The staff were extremely friendly, helpful, and kind. The room was awesome and we loved the little extras like the journal that had entries from other guests. Also, the location was perfect for our wandering souls.
- Steven (10/5): - Excellent. The service was great. And food was amazing. The room was perfectly appointed and lovely.
- Deborah (10/5): Exceptional -
- Linda (8/5): Perfect location - rooms AC was too cold. it was set on 67 and we couldnt turn it off even after asking inn keeper. Had to turn on the fireplace to get it up to 70. Otherwise the room was beautiful. Breakfast was outstanding and the location was perfect!
- Thomas (10/5): Exceptional - A charming historic beautiful place cozy but spacious .Breakfast was amazing staff friendly....cookies were delicious...Whirlpool tubs and the showers were AMAZING We loved everything...
- Donna (8/5): Overall, we would highly recommend the 1840’s Carrollton Inn. Beautiful historic Inn/close to harbo - The location was excellent! Felt like a safe neighborhood. Off-street parking was ample during our stay. Within a three or four block walk to the inner harbor. Staff were always friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean. Plenty of seating in dining rooms and beautiful outdoor courtyard. Fresh fruit and bacon were delicious! Bathroom is extremely spacious and well appointed. Stayed in room 206. Bathroom door needs to be greased (extremely noisy; especially at night). Bathroom sink faucet needs to be fixed (it was not properly attached to countertop. Access to room was a bit difficult with electronic key. I fiqured out that I needed to pull on the door to help release the electronic locking mechanism. Pancakes were okay ( a bit chewy). Minor criticism: It would be great if parking lot was properly graded and stone applied to surface but definitely appreciate the included off-street parking!
