Guest Reviews
- Olivia (9/5): Lovely cottage, great location - The location was great. The kitchen could have been better equipped.
- Donna (10/5): -
- Lina (5/5): - Location was good and beds were comfortable. Luxury touches like the table setting were a treat. Unfortunately there were problems with the heating and hot water at the accommodation due probably to gas works in the area. Someone was called out to fix it but only after we were able to contact the property manager, rather than the owners. Sadly the heating is apparently on a timer so it turned off automatically shortly after being fixed and before the house really warmed up so the following morning was also freezing although the hot water was now working. Whilst I understand the gas issue was unforeseen I recommend anyone staying take note of the property managers contact details for any problems and definitely anyone staying in the winter ask about controlling the heat themselves!!

- Lesley (10/5): Comfortable and convenient - Great cottage. Really comfortable with plenty of room for 3 adults. Good facilities and nice having 2 bathrooms. Kitchen well equipped and nice to have a breakfast basket available
Good location for the centre of Salisbury and an easy walk from the train station. One of our party drove so again good to have parking spaces.
Good communication from the owners- thank you
Would certainly recommend. Much nicer than staying in a hotel. -
- carol (10/5): Lovely one of the best accommodations we have stayed in. - We checked in at midday. We were allowed to park up earlier, dump our bags. Cleaners gave us the keys to the property. Went to the old mill for lunch. Horrible day weather wise so settled in at the cottage. Only a couple of moans microwave wasn’t cleaned.
Kitchen sink was blocked.
- Rachel (10/5): - Location. Quiet. Good parking.
- Rachael (8/5): - Nice breakfast basket. The location was fine - a 20 minute walk to the cathrdral through parkland
- Debbie (10/5): - Excellent facilities, and lovely breakfast basket
Very clean and well kept.
Would stay again :)
- Avalon (10/5): Immaculate cottage in a nice quiet area - We only stayed at the cottage for one night and wish we could’ve stayed for longer.
The house is massive with everything you can think off.
The little things like phone chargers in every room and the welcome hamper made this place feel like home.
The check in was easy and you can tell the hosts go above and beyond. Nothing
- Kavi (9/5): lovely comfortable cottage - The location of this property is excellent and their welcome video ti get into house and explanations which followed were helpful.
The house is great. Cosy , elegant and cosy all in one with everything you need for a great comfortable stay.
Little touches such as breakfast hamper and fresh juice and milk in the fridge did not go a miss and sweet touches like chocolates by the bed were lovely touches.
Beds were comfy clean and showers were ok. If had to be constructive and specific i would say the following
Communication when had questions were a little slow..
First floor ensuite bathroom window seems a little broken or cant close
Letting in cold air and kitchen shows evidence of chipped paint and wear and tear… a little tired but has all appliance bar a caxfetier you could wish for.
House more suitable for adults than elserly or little toddlers due to steep stairs if had to be constructive.
This house
Is Definitely one to enjoy for its inside calming and cosy surroundings and its central lovely location.
Garden Is in front -smallish and low maintenance and could d owith some love if u wanted to enjoy it to its fullest in summer months but for us wasn’t important or an issue being the winter.
- claudia (10/5): Struttura molto curata e accogliente. Pulita e ben servita - Struttura molto curata e accogliente
- Jean (8/5): -
- Sue (10/5): - The breakfast basket was amazing. The decor and little touches were so well thought out. They were much appreciated. Nothing really.
- Richard (8/5): - A very comfortable three bedroom cottage but narrow steep stairs
- Abigail (10/5): Lovely relaxing stay - Lovely property, felt cosy and had all the facilities needed. Everything was clean and the breakfast hamper was a lovely touch Nothing
- Jane (10/5): -
- Colin (10/5): - Perfect for our needs, well furnished, comfortable and lovely walk across the water meadows into town (approx 15-20 mins)
- Claudine (10/5): Very nice house, very quiet, beautiful inside - we will come again! - Beautiful house! Nicely decorated, lots of details, looks just like the photos on booking. The breakfast basket was very nice and there are nice little touches everywhere in the house. Beds were very comfortable, showers very good. Short walk from the Old Mill Pub, which we loved! Good communication with the hosts, all instructions very clear and helpful. It's a bit outside of Salisbury (which we knew in advance and it was fine), and the entrance to the house looked a bit run down. It didn't disturb us though. The door was hard to open or we just didn't want to force it too hard and had a few tries until we got in.
- Sharon (9/5): Enjoyed our stay. - Living area was nice for a group to gather. Second bedroom was on the 3rd floor so carrying the luggage was tricky. It was a little tricky to find the lane that went to the cottage.
- DANIELE (9/5): -
- Jean (9/5): Very nice property. Would stay again. - The location
Well equipped
Cosy with comfortable beds
Great breakfast Spiders!
- Lisa (10/5): -
- Marion (10/5): Wonderful stay would highly recommend!! - It was absolutely beautiful a home from home everything you could possibly need and some!!
- Lisa (10/5): -
- Nadav (9/5): Great place to stay - The house was really nice and clean and the area was very quiet. It has it's own parking place and a nice small patio and all the essentials needed. The bathtub upstairs is leaning on one side and the ceiling is low and we have tall kids. Also, is could use a curtain for the water not to get out, but other than that, we had a great time.
- Marzotto (8/5): -
- Alessia (10/5): - Un gioiellino in tutto e per tutto. Un'accoglienza magica...consigliatissimo.
- ana (10/5): - Muy acogedora, estaba todo muy limpio y ordenado.
El desayuno es un puntazo!
Había todo lo necesario para sentirte como en casa.
Todo perfecto!
- Kim (10/5): -
- Mia (10/5): -
- Karen (9/5): Superb - Lovely decor, spacious, comfortable and very clean No garden and the small courtyard is unloved and has a large window from the neighbours overlooking it
- Nicky (9/5): Superb -
- Beverley (9/5): Lovely property with great location. - This property had everything you would need if you were a family with 2 young children. All the facilities were brilliant, and the location was exceptional. However, as a group of friends needing 4 separate beds, it didn't quite work. The twin bed room was too small - no wardrobe/chest of drawers, so 2 of us lived out of our suitcases, one of which was on the landing. We also shared a small bathroom with one other, which only had a hand shower. Having said all of that, the toiletries were lovely, and the towels soft and fluffy. We adapted, and were happy enough. The 2 sitting rooms were lovely, with huge wall tvs. The kitchen was well equipped and spacious. The stairs are on 2 levels and quite narrow. Luckily we were all fit enough to carry our cases upstairs.
The outside area is nice to sit in however, it is on 2 levels and you would need to be cautious when moving around, or where you put your chair.
- Nivea (9/5): Superb - It was a very quaint cottage with all the necessary facilities, which was very warm and inviting. The welcome basket was lovely. I'm glad we booked with breakfast included. Also, a lovely 15-minute walk through the meadow to the centre of town was perfect. There was no need to find car parking. The recommendation for the Old Mill Pub (within walking distance) did not disappoint. We went there twice in our 3 night stay. Highly recommend the Sunday roast it was exceptional. Nothing
- Sinclair (8/5): Meadow Cottage.
A fairytale welcome with everything prepared for your comfort. - A lovely welcoming environment with many added features that make this feel like home. We were hoping to get our washing done but the machine wasn't working. We reported it to the owners so hopefully this will be fixed for the next visitor.
- Yvonne (9/5): Superb -
- Eva (10/5): Exceptional -
- Poynton (10/5): Exceptional - The facility was excellent. Location perfect. Quality premises with quality fixtures and fittings
Comfortable beds with excellent bedding
Breakfast basket nice touch.
Everything oozes excellent. Well done
We ould definitely recommend All good we
- Kim (9/5): Welcoming Cottage - The cottage was welcoming and comfortable to relax in. The breakfast basket was exactly what we needed. The location was fabulous with a great hotel/pub by the water just up the road. The walk from there gives you a great view of the cathedral spire. Next time we will be staying for longer.
- Nicholas (10/5): Great stay in Salisbury - Lovely property, really surprised by lovely selection of food left by host.
Great location for us as we were attending a wedding at the cathedral.
Very relaxing location for the groom, our son, before his big day.
Definitely recommend.
The hosts' video is really helpful, and the information book available at the property is a masterpiece. Nothing
- Jane (10/5): Perfect spot for getting in and out of Salisbury and exceptional accommodation. - Meadow Cottage is a wonderfully well equipped cottage in a great location within east walking distance of Salisbury city centre. The owners added some lovely little touches including an exceptional welcome pack including bread, milk, butter, eggs, jams, tea and coffee. Very comfy beds in all the rooms and lots of fluffy towels.
- Sue (8/5): Lovely short break with friends in a picturesque area. - The property is a historic building and very chic with all the facilities you need. The walk into Salisbury is gorgeous, as was the local pub. The stairs are quite steep! Not a problem but worth reiterating.
- Michael (9/5): Superb -
- Stewart (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lindsey (10/5): Wow! That was our reaction on entering the house. It was warm and comfortable. - A wonderful breakfast hamper.
- Nigel (10/5): Perfect stay for a group of friends reunion - Lovely location. Pretty walk into the city
The house was extremely comfortable.
Bonus of breakfast provided.
Perfect place for our reunion. It was a bit tricky to open the door as the key was hard to turn in the lock.
- Amanda (10/5): A cosy, comfortable and clean house. Perfectly located to visit Salisbury - Beautifully furnished with lots of thoughtful touches. Clean, quiet and very comfortable
- Jane (9/5): Beds were very comfortable, breakfast selection was good, and location spot on. - Location and comfortable Very creeky
- Vicky (10/5): Lovely Cottage. - Very comfortable cottage in a quiet location.
Very convenient for a wedding bar we were running at Sailsbury Cathedral.
Lovely hamper left for our arrival. Nothing to report 😊
- Linda (8/5): Very good -
- Hayley (10/5): Excellent stay, we were made to feel very welcome - Very welcoming, everything you need for your stay, the breakfast was lovely, something for everyone. Oh I love the big furry throws too. It didn't feel like we were staying in a rental, more like we were staying in someone's home. Very luxurious. Only 1 entrance into the house, it worried me a little if there was a fire in the living room or kitchen, we would be stuck inside, but I do tend to over think these things.
- David (10/5): Amazing property, very attentive host! - Everything about the property was perfect. The whole house was fully equipped for any needs. Couldn’t fault the property at all.
- Daphne (9/5): For our two days in Salsbury we were very at home - Everything was provided for travellers on the go. Nothing at all.
- Hassan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nora (8/5): Comfortable place in good location - Good size, nice decor, great location. Easy contact with property management. Nice touches like music on arrival. Lots of plug in points for electronics. Cleaning could have been more thorough especially carpets and bathrooms. The breakfast could include more fresh items.
- Donna (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely breakfast basket and very clean and quiet accommodation
- Carol (10/5): Exceptional - The location and property itself were fabulous. Would highly recommend it!!
- Beyer (10/5): Cute cottage walking distance of Salisbury town center - Great location, cute and tastefully decorated cottage, complimentary breakfast humper Nothing to complain about. Really a great place.
Not ideal for disabled people due to steep steps, but not a problem for us.
- Linda (2/5): Disappointingly - Steep stairs not good for disabled person.
Price too high for what the presented.the accommodation was cheap and tacky
- Francesco (10/5): Breath taking!!!!!! Best cottage ever !!! - Music was on as we entered the cottage to create a very welcoming atmosphere. Super basket with fruit eggs and lots of other delicious products for breakfast!
Nothing was left to chance! Even chocolate on the bed!!!!! This was really an excellent cottage, the best I have ever been to !!!!
- Janice (8/5): Very good - We did like this pretty self-catering cottage, which was well appointed, with good facilities (apart from only having 1 shower!). Bedrooms were a good size, plus it had 2 lounges (1 on first floor, which we didn't use). The front garden, which you walked through to get to the front door. It needed generally tidying up, also a lot of plants were dead in the pots, which was a shame, as it was the first view of the property. Also, didn't like the fact there was only 1 shower for the 3 if us staying.
- Luisa (10/5): Exceptional - The apartment is very beautiful, comfortable and clean. Everything was perfect.
- Jennifer-george (10/5): Superb home to stay in - Lovely property, well fitted out and lovely homely touches
- Michele (8/5): Relaxing stopover in a lovely location. - Loved the two lounge areas as it gave our family chance to spread out. The set dining table was fantastic as were all the small touches including calming music on arrival! I don’t feel the double bed was as comfortable as I’d expected and I could feel the springs. The single bed mattress was also uncomfortable for one of the other guests.
- Douglas (9/5): Lovely property. Wish we could have stayed longer. - Beautiful decor, comfy property, quiet location Breakfast was not appropriate quantities for a party of 5. In particular milk and orange juice were sufficient for about two people.
- Andrew (8/5): Very good -
- Stewart (10/5): Amazing experience - This place is truly stunning. Immaculate throughout at a great location.
The owners clearly have gone the extra mile with breakfast hamper, Netflix TV and super comfy beds. There is nothing we didn't like.
- Andree (10/5): Wonderful - Location great. Lovely having Patio. Really welcoming. Better instructions on heating system. Perhaps a few more mugs and a teapot! Lovely Quirky cottage and a very quiet location.
- Debs (8/5): A fantastic homely idyll in Harnham. - A very homely property with lots of attention to detail. Including a wonderfully laid table with candles to greet us on arrival. A very generous hamper and toiletries. The stairs maybe a little steep for those who aren’t sure footed.
- Anna (10/5): Beautiful place to stay! - Amazing property, beautifully styled. It felt very welcoming and there were lots of extra little touches that made the stay more special. The breakfast basket was awesome!! Highly recommend the Old Mill Pub too, which is within walking distance. Thank you for a great stay.
- Julie (10/5): Amazing very relaxed when I came away - Lovely location within walking distance to the town etc lovely walks near by and parking right outside the property. On arrival we were welcomed by an amazing breakfast hamper with all local goodies and the rooms were immaculate.
- Desert (8/5): Lovely cottage in an excelllent location for visiting Salisbury - Breakfast hamper was full of lovely products, even wine ! Location of cottage was perfect for our holiday. Two kitchen doors fell to the floor when opened, needs to be fixed as one was shoulder height. Ensuite bathroom was very small.
- Jo (8/5): Very good - Good basket of breakfast. Place is cozy. Nil
- Conor (10/5): Exceptional -
- Richard (10/5): Perfect. - We left before breakfast as we had an early start locally I have no areas of concern the cottage exceeded our expectations
- Tina (9/5): Lovely stay.! - Lovely... thoughtful breakfast hamper, cottage was tastefully decorated and welcoming. Everything we needed was available. The local walk to Salisbury and the pub was gorgeous! The only minor issue we had was that the WiFi did not work very well at night.
- Keith (10/5): Ideal place to stay - The host were excellent, very clear instructions and how to get into the property , video an excellent idea. It was also great to have a phone conversation. Our team who stayed loved the place and the breakfast hamper was excellent. Thank you very highly recommended Nothing
- Stephen (10/5): Fantastic place, very relaxed - highly recommended - Breakfast basket was brilliant idea and the ambiance of the whole place was great! Nothing
- Maria (9/5): Property was as described and provided a home from home experience. - Lovely breakfast basket provided.
- Alison (10/5): Exceptional -
- A (9/5): Beautiful cottage, Great location and overall a fantastic stay. A***** from me!! - This was a fantastic cottage, as i was visiting Salisbury District hospital this place was fantastically located.
Based in a small quiet village on the outskirts of town it was a perfect location for a stroll into town.
Parking right outside the front gate of the property was also a great touch.
The cottage had everything you need for a great stay and the breakfast basket was also fantastic.
The second seating area on the mid landing was amazing with a huge tv which sort of replicated a cinema room.
This cottage definitely has a returning customer in me. Nothing to write here, if i was to be very picky the only down side was that the shower was not very powerful.
- Charlotte (10/5): 10/10 Stay - The cottage is absolutely beautifully decorated and so comfortable. It had absolutely everything we could have needed, including generous parking and a pub down the road. The breakfast hamper was an amazing addition too. Couldn't ask for more!
- Matt (10/5): Would 100% recommend. Really cosy and great value - Super cosy, welcome hamper was perfect for breakfast
- Tamzin (9/5): Wish we had stayed over one night - Liked the welcome pack which was lovely and the upstairs with the gorgeous little bathroom and candles.
Really nice place Was fine - liked everything.
- Lisa (8/5): Lovely cottage and location - Location was great! Welcome box stated breakfast included, it didn’t include milk and not as expected.
- Avril (8/5): Excellent, well located place to Salisbury town with many homely touches and parking for 2 cars ! - Excellent location. The best Welcome Hamper we have ever had in a self catering. Very responsive and friendly host, there was a problem with the heating but she came quickly with extra heaters so it was toasty warm after that. Excellent little touches. Stairs maybe a challenge for those with less mobility.
- Malcolm (10/5): Exceptional -
- Danil (10/5): Exceptional -
- Vicki (8/5): All in all a nice stay. Everything there to make your stay comfortable. I think the owner is an artist!!! - Was a lovely property. Very cozy, really nicely furnished. Area lovely and quiet Lovely breakfast hamper. Bedding lovely and clean and beds comfy. Really good communication from the owner. We couldn’t get the heating on so was quite a cold stay. We also couldn’t get tv working properly, not a biggie but wanted to watch Remembrance Sunday in the morning. Quite a lot of cobwebs and dust but maybe just time of year or people not stayed recently.
- Jane (10/5): Very impressed with comfort, facilities, welcome pack fantastic - Welcome pack breakfast was amazing. Just what we all needed Nothing we didn’t like all was very well catered for
- Lucy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lucy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Fiona (7/5): cosy and well equipped kitchen. - location
cosy
owners left a lovely goodies hamper we had to Hoover lots of webs/spiders from bedrooms. No information for us technophobes we couldn’t get terrestrial channels on the tv. Only stayed 1 night so wasn’t massive issue.
- Charles (10/5): just what we wanted - It was cute and well appointed for what we wanted. Breakfast was plentiful. We very much liked it Could not get the telly to work - would have liked BBC Breakfast in the background to catch up on the news
- Feng (10/5): Exceptional - Walking to Salisbury is a very comfortable hiking route. Pass through the meadow, cattle and sheep grasslands everywhere, overlooking the cathedral, amazing.
- Anthony (10/5): Celebrating our daughter’s 40th birthday. - Nice and cosy , well equipped, . Twin room was too small and no where to put your belongings. ( property should only accommodate for four people really)
- Scott (9/5): Superb - Great location. Spacious house. Generous breakfast. Easy access. Very minor but upstairs bathroom doesn’t have a window and couldn’t shower due to low ceiling. Bath was only option for those in upstairs room.
- Almutairi (10/5): Exceptional -
- Michael (10/5): Outstanding! - Really exceptional place. Lovely interior design, and many many beautiful touches / details. A very generous hamper was exciting to find as well and much appreciated. One of the nicest places we have stayed in.
