I booked this place for $300 something bucks for 3 nights. I come to check in and find that they have given my room away. I was told by the gentleman at the front desk (who was NOT helpful) that I would not be guaranteed a room for the night and its best that I ask for a refund from Airbnb. I wake up the next morning after sleeping in my CAR to call and ask for a refund and was talking to DEE THE MANAGER WHO HUNG UP IN MY FACE AFTER SAYING SHE DOESNT GIVE OUT HER LAST NAME???!!!??! These folks said that it was stated on their Airbnb site that you HAVE to check in between 3pm and 11:30pm or the room gets taken away and they keep ur money???? Not sure if they put it up there now but I have 10 screenshots on my phone proving that that policy is total BS. Airbnb has yet to give me my money back. I genuinely will be getting a lawyer involved with this SCAM!!

• Homero661 (10/5): Five stars - Well what can I say I had one of the best experiences in Vegas at this hotel from the moment I walked in iI was greeted with a good morning from J also a good morning from Ms D I was able to check in early but I had to wait a little bit for my room to be cleaned which was no problem I sat at the bar and had a couple drinks and got to know everybody that works there my experience there was awesome my room was clean the bed was comfortable the shower work hot water and cold water and the AC did later on that day I met Paul who also works there who is really a cool dude and also Leslie that works at night everybody had a positive attitude and they were really friendly nothing bad to say about my stay .. Will see you guys soon .. Only thing I didn't like is that I couldn't stay an extra couple days

• E157ZEgaryb (2/5): Third World Motel - The place was very "low rent" type atmosphere and not in a safe location. The parking was across the street and down a block from the hotel. There was traffic of people which I felt were engaging in illegal activities. Just a huge disappointment and false presentation in their advertising campaign. I would not and did not stay there nor would I recommend anyone I know to stay there.

I didn't like some of the check in process. You have to use a kiosk to register your room cards. One of my keys didn't work. So I had to go back downstairs and have the front desk fix it, which they did. But why didn't they just do them for me in the first place?

But I'd rather be cold than hot in the desert and when we turned it down it was fine. We didn't have time for mini golf but the course looked fun and really well maintained.

• princeo342 (2/5): Absolute Nightmare: 90-Degree Rooms & Predatory Parking - DO NOT STAY HERE. My recent stay at The Downtowner was a disaster from start to finish due to a total lack of basic amenities and predatory management practices. 1. No AC/Heat Controls (90°F Rooms): Nowhere in the booking process does it mention that rooms have no individual temperature control. The hotel controls the heat/AC centrally. Our room was nearly 90 degrees the entire time. It was stifling, unhygienic, and impossible to sleep. 2. The Parking "Trap": The hotel provides a parking permit but lacks enough legal stalls. When the lot was full, I parked in an overflow area as instructed by staff. I woke up to a $25 city citation for "parking off pavement." Management admitted they know the city tickets guests there, yet refuse to mark the area or cover the fine, effectively leading guests into a financial trap. 3. Abysmal Management: Management would rather lose the revenue of an entire stay (I am currently disputing all charges) and receive a 1-star review than simply cover a $25 fine caused by their own lack of parking and infrastructure. Save your money and your sanity - stay somewhere that actually values its guests and provides basic necessities like a thermostat.

Hour and a half to checkin ! Room was average .. not worth the money

Everyone who works here is pleasant, and always available. The rooms are clean and safe. The lobby has a full bar and has the best prices. The atmosphere is perfectly laid back. The price of rooms is inexpensive and reasonable. It has a locked entry so it's safe. I would recommend this place to anyone traveling to Vegas.

Stupendously cool and welcoming staff, Dee (a hip angel) and all the rest, a family vibe, very chill, very helpful and accommodating. My room was spotless, as was the entire hotel, from gym to putt putt golf course. Full bar in the lobby that's open all night long. Cozy outside fire at night. Free coffee and tea. Excellent location one block off Fremont St, close to the legendary Atomic bar and the scrumptious breakfast/lunch spot PublicUs. Last but not least, amazingly affordable, an incredible bargain. I miss the place already, and I know where I am staying whenever I return to Vegas (which I do a lot). Five enthusiastic stars. (William from PDX)
