Guest Reviews
- Verified traveler (10/5): Brilliant - Amazing staff whom could not do enough for me. Neat, tidy everything you need room. Tuk tucks are cheap to get around, Bagan is so small.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Run down hotel. I think most positive reviews arr fake or paid. Really inconvenient location, over rated and expensive. No windows in room and raw seweage smell every day. Staff nice but barely speaks english. Checked out, when to another hotel in heartbof Bagan, paid 1/2 price and Room has a window and no smell...
- Erin (8/5): - The staff went out of their way to provide great service. The grounds were attractive and comfortable. The room could use updates (AC was not great and towels a bit low) but overall was very clean.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Lovely pool, the evening puppet show with dinner was a nice surprise, great breakfast
- Jonas (8/5): Nice place plain food - It is a lovely place relaxing and nice
Only problem with the place is that it small walk to the village with more restaurants
Maybe 15 min
Because the food though good is to me a little plain
Also do not visit the restaurant called Royal bragging to have best Indian food in town
No flavours been close to India in their food
Also I paid the lowest price for my room
Which meant we got a window less room
Nice room but no windows
So check out what you get
- Elaine (10/5): Feel at home - Excelente choice! The hotel is clean, beautiful, the staff is so friendly and nice that you feel at home. I definitely recommend it!!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great boutique hotel in New Bagan - Had a pleasant stay at My Bagan Amata. Checked the menu of the hotel's restaurant and tried to find Mohinga (traditional Burmese fish noodle soup) but turns out they don't have it. However, the staff checked with the kitchen and offered to make one portion for me at breakfast time next day before I leave. Old Bagan is easily accessible with an e-bike, and the hotel also offers rental services, but I rented it at a shop just outside the hotel.
- jim (10/5): Great place to stay in Bagan. - From our friendly and warm greeting to the send off by the staff this was one of the best experiences I have encountered. Personalized attention to our every need was provided with warmth and graciousness. Pool, room, and dining area all exceeded our expectation. A great deal at an affordable price. Would stay here again.
- Sam (10/5): Nice hotel at Bagan - nice staff, great foods at price friendly level, and the room is clean and comfortable
- Verified traveler (10/5): Valued for money - Nice location. North of new bagan which is closest to old bagan. Perfect location to explore old Bagan with e-bike. Spacious room with comfortable bed. Overall better than what we have expected.
- Chris (8/5): Nice stay with a great pool - A nice hotel on the edge of New Bagan and within easy reach of all the temples. Staff were friendly and helpful
- Liciano (10/5): Very Comfortable hotel - nice and large room with three spaceful spots (bathroom and wardrobe/room/little living room). Perfectly decorated. My room was at a level of the pool. So I just needed to walk few steps to dive in it. Nice restaurant and spa. Location is not great but still near main attractions.
- Rose (8/5): - The stay was not fantastic but just okay. The room lightings are dim and there were mosquitoes. The corridor is also not bright enough. However, when we asked for mosquito spray, they were quick to supply. They have a small swimming pool and a restaurant. When my husband asked for Mohinga on the first day, he said he will get it for him for the 2nd day breakfast. Later we learnt that he went to purchase it for my husband because it was not in their menu for that day. I was impressed with him.
The hotel is located near to the places of interest. A short drive away, you can find many restaurants and a supermarket.
- Verified traveler (10/5): wonderful resort - amazing hotel with great pool,, very relax,, but quite remote
- Verified traveler (10/5): top place - Amazing place. Good location . The rooms around the swimming pool are great very big and nice. All very comfortable.
Recommend to stay there.
- Janille (10/5): Great value, big room, very cultural - Very satisfied
- Samir (8/5): Great place to stay in Bagan - Really nice hotel and good value for what you get, especially when compared to cost of other hotels in the area. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Room was really nice, although there were smells of sewage at times, but wasn't enough to put us off or give a poor review. Good breakfast. About a 10-15 minute walk to the main town centre in New Bagan. The main place to stay in the whole area is New Bagan.
- Enyu Evelyn (4/5): Disappointed service - You are not a customer of the hotel the moment you checked out. We requested for water at the receptionist and were directed to the restaurant at the convenience of the receptionist. From our past experiences, the receptionist will usually call the housekeeping to provide customer complimentary water even after we checked out. In this case, we were directed to the restaurant and was charged for a bottle of the hotel's mineral water (the complimentary ones given in the rooms). The lady restaurant manager and the receptionist tried to clarify by saying that it is the hotel's policy to provide only 2 bottles of complimentary water a day. Anything beyond will be chargeable. This is our first encounter of such incidence and we were appalled. This moment the hotel mgr stepped in. Before we could speak, the restaurant mgr and the receptionist explained the situation to him in Burmese, only to find out that the facts were not fully delivered to him. We explained to him again, he understood and was apologetic for what happened. He even offered to make a refund which we rejected. It's not about the money as it is only a small sum, it's the service that we received from the front line. Bagan and its people are so beautiful, we were sad to leave the place with such disappointing experience.

- NIcholas (8/5): Best of Bagan - Great hotel with friendly service. Were thoughtful and helpful on the day we were suffering from "Burma belly".
Cultural show on the lawns every evening draws a big tour bus crowd.
- juliana (6/5): Expensive - Wifi doesnt work very well! Is not value for the money
