Guest Reviews
- michael (10/5): - Came to town for a music festival in Louisville. Room was comfortable and owners were great!
- JODY (8/5): - This place was more like a small apartment. It was great. The layout was really good for the price. You could not beat it. The drive to Churchill Downs was really pretty from this area as well.
- Bonnie (4/5): - na
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The customer service was great. It is a wonderful married couple that took care of us. Not like the pictures but like a little apartment.
- Christina (8/5): My trip! - This was really cool it was affordable and u have your own apartment I would recommend staying here to all my friends and family!
- Chris (10/5): - Honestly it was a 2 bedroom apartment. Very roomy with a full kitchen
- Verified traveler (10/5): Would rather stay here than a hotel. - Our air conditioner wasn’t working, so the owner immediately moved us to another room where the A/C was working. I’m nearly positive that the second room was also an upgrade. When we left two days later, the new A/C was already being installed in the room that needed it. Great place to stay, and we definitely recommend the restaurant a little down the road that’s next the the Golden Manor motel.
- Kathleen (10/5): Lovely Stay - We had a great time staying here! The room had great space for my daughter and I and 2 of our friends. Full kitchen, very clean, it's a family owned business and you can tell they are constantly making improvements to the property. About 30 minutes south of downtown Louisville, the area around the hotel is quite quiet with the nearest small town with fast food, restaurants etc about 12-15 minutes away. It's military nearby so no shortage of "gentleman's clubs" in the area but we didn't see any riff-raff due to that. There is a pretty lively country bar about 7 minutes away that had karaoke and a dj the night we stayed. When in Rome lol.
Do be aware the hotel charges per guest which isn't clearly stated and there is no coffee in the rooms. Some dishes, but limited so you may need to make requests for anything needed as far as extra towels, dishes etc. They had no problem giving us extra towels so I would think they would accommodate. Hotel is located on a busy highway but the noise didn't bother us, probably because the bedrooms are on the far side of the room. Very lovely location. I would stay there again for sure!
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice but not the prettiest - Stay met expectations, you could almost say exceeded. Nice staff. Clean place. Quiet area. Really only negatives was even with the ac on it took what seemed forever before it finally cooled down and then visual things. For example the bedroom the window had a large crack held together with duct tape. It didn’t effect the stay just something not the best to look at. Same with in the living room, I guess they repaired a place in the wall be the pain was then mismatched. The bed also had very strange bedding. Quilted pillow cases, plaid sheets, and a zebra fleece blanket. This isn’t a resort though lol it’s a motel, it served its purpose and me and my fiancé had a safe play to sleep for two nights while traveling.
- Disney (8/5): Cheap hotel close to base - Just needed a cheap place to stay the night as we were passing through. I wasn't expecting an apartment! Two queen size bedrooms, full size kitchen, nice size living room, more channels than other hotels. It was a great surprise when we checked in as I hadn't realized exactly what we purchased. Only issue was bathroom needed updated.
- Dustin (2/5): - The owner placed hold on our checking account but wouldnt allow us to stay said pur card declined.
- Nancy (10/5): Very Nice Motel - This motel room was spacious and clean and very affordable. It is located on a major highway, but we were not bothered by noise at all. We would definitely look to stay here again if in the area. It is very close to Fort Knox which makes it a great place to stay for family day and graduation.
- Dale (6/5): OK but for mold - Our only complaint was the black mold on a ceiling tile above the shower head. The tile needs to be replaced.
