- Verified traveler (4/5): Meh....... - We paid aroung 100 a night for an icean view. Everything was old. The bed linens, the towels, the room, the patio,...everything needed an update. we stayed 2 nights. There were 1 other group then us. i think we were the only guests in the hotel one night. Our room included breakfast, which was never offered and if it was, who knows how fresh the food was. I understand that it is low season, but there are no excuses for how this place looked. The deck chairs were filthy and sweeping the sand off of the deck would be nice. There was a resort a few doors down that was completly empty, but it looked great and tidy and they even swept the beach. But i wanted a room "ON THE BEACH", and i got that. Apple has some very affordable rooms, and i get it, but a little pride in appearance would go a long way.

- Anders (6/5): Not worth the money (55$) - The staff is so Not service minded, they are almost rude some times (except for to guy in blue shirt running the place and the cleaning guys, they are kind and good. Same with the lady’s who works in the massage area). The staff also have kids running around and screaming half of the night and early mornings… worst coffe I ever had in breakfast. Breakfast not worth 100 bath.

- Anders Andrei (4/5): OK for the money (~60$/night) - The staff is really not service-minded, almost ”rude” sometimes and talking bad or no English from Cambodia. The bed is ok with Thai-standard (hard but not the worst I’ve slept in, the rooms are very loudly (paper walls), breakfast was nothing I would recommend with probably the worst coffee in Thailand. You need to ask them to ”clean” the rooms but they are understaffed so it can take up to a hole day to get the room cleaned. The location is good, pool okey but cold.
- Nicholas (1/5): STAY AWAY! - Once you get on the beach it’s nice. Everything else behind you is trash. First room was not as pictured and in the back corner. No working tv or Wi-Fi. The toilet also didn’t flush. Then two days later moved to our room we booked. It also had problems. There was a broken water line spraying the back of our building and leaking all over the bathroom floor. Half of the tv worked which was a joke and again no Wi-Fi in the room. The staff were polite but couldn’t fix any issues. It was grossly overpriced and they should be shut down for the amount of mold, broken appliances etc.

They arranged tours very well and travelling to and from the property, my little bungalow in front of the beach was just fabulous. They do have a pool it’s not open yet they’re working on it but it’s a beautiful pool when it’s down it will be fantastic.

The resort looks great online and actually it is ok although a bit run down . The room was not very clean either was the bedding , we had to request that this was sorted out and it was without argument. The room was very basic but for the price we paid acceptable . The place is no thrills basic and a bit run down in a lovely location right in the middle of the white sands area .

På morgonen när vi checkade ut höll dom dock på med den så förhoppningsvis en engångsföreteelse. Ligger jättebra vid stranden. Skulle bo här igen om det inte varit över vår budget.

Meillä majoitus oli aivan rannassa, joten aamulla pääsi mereen muutamalla askeleella ja illalla sai rannalta tilattua ruuat ja juomat suoraan terassille. Huoneisto ei ollut uusi eikä luksusta, mutta pääsimme juuri siihen rantafiilikseen johon halusimme. Sängyt hyvät, ilmastointi toimi ja oli hiljainen. Aamupala tämän reissun majoituksista paras. Maisema täydellinen ja hieronnat löytyi myös omalta hotellilta. Ei mitään pahaa sanottavaa.

The food in the restaurant and the bbq in the evening were all fantastic. The included breakfast, however, was not. No way for any food to be kept warm so everything just sitting on a table like a sad potluck:( and every single day the same. Needs improvement. All workers at the resort were friendly and helpful. We booked a poolside deluxe room - def wasn’t deluxe. Asked about it and they assured me it was deluxe. Didn’t detract from our stay. Would definitely return

- Lucie (6/5): - Positives: a lovely location. Quite busy and at times quite a bit of noise, but the resort is right on the beach,which was pretty peaceful and very clean. The water is clear, calm and warm. There are plenty of shops and restaurants close by. The resort restaurant - we only tried the Thai food but everything we tried was good. Not bad value considering the location. The pool is lovely - shaded and small so safe for kids. We booked 2 family rooms. These turned out to be on the 2nd floor, which was fine for us, but those with young kids might not have felt it was very safe. The rooms were spacious, light and clean, with 2 very comfortable king sized beds in each room. The staff clearly worked hard and were reasonably friendly and polite. Negatives: one shower was too cold and the other too hot - staff told us that they had already contacted someone about it but they weren't free to fix it at the moment. We stayed for a week and the owners think it's ok to leave families without a comfortable shower? Our sink barely drained. When we had our room cleaned and we were given only 2 towels per room (for 4-person rooms) we were told "the towels have run out". When ordering fresh fish from the display at the restaurant, staff didn't know what half of the fish were, or what they taste like. Overall we felt that the owners didn't care much about renovations or customer service, leaving their staff to run it without support. In short: lovely, but a bit run down and overpriced.

Själva hade ve en beach front bungalow vilket jag starkt kan rekommendera då man har en egen ”altan” där man kan avnjuta solnedgången varje dag.

- Gustav (10/5): Paradis ala thai style - Familjerum Sea front: absolut bästa läget på hela stranden. Fantastiskt utsikt från altanen. Rummet och sängen hade behövt lite uppfräschning men har man inte skyhöga krav utan accepterar att man är i Thailand och bor PÅ stranden så kommer man bli jättenöjd. Barnen älskade det. Poolen som ligger i skuggan svalkar skönt och det finns flera jättetrevliga restauranger på stranden och gatan. Sammanfattningsvis; paradiset om man inte har för höga krav på säng och renlighet.

- mirsadc819 (2/5): Cockroach nightmare - We booked the Family Beachfront Cottage at Apple Beachfront resort. It was more on the pricy side but we decided to treat ourselves and in the pictures it looked delightful. Unfortunately the reality was far from delightful. The room was a dump to be honest and on top of that it was dirty and smelly. The staff seemed to have no clue at all that we had made a reservation and paid in full so the check-in was a nightmare on it’s own. However we decited to make the best of it because we were only staying for a couple of nights and we were on the beach after all. When it was time to turn in and we moved one of the pillows a heard of huge cockroaches spread out throughout the bed. We discovered that the wall molding was down behind one of the beds and cockroaches were literally curling up on the sides and in the bed. We were horrified! That was the final drop and we decided that we couldn’t stay there. No one from the staff was there and we weren’t able to contact them on the phone. Frustrated and tired from our trip we decided to walk down the main street and try to find somewhere we could stay for the night. It was past midnight and off season but fortunatelly we got a room in a hotel nearby. The following day we went back to Apple beach and demanded a refund but the hotel declined our request as did Hotels.com. We spend the rest of the day calling and e-mailing Hotels.com but no luck there. In the end we had to pay for another hotel on top of the first one. So dear travelers, don’t be fooled by the pictures that are shown on Hotels.com! Terrible service, dirty common areas, just entirely unaccaptable!
- 486jesper_ (2/5): A nightmare - Worst hotel we have ever stayed at! Incredibly bad service, dirty rooms, lots of cockroaches in the rooms. No one who works at the hotel in the evening. Hotels.com was above all criticism in helping us when we had problems with the hotel. If you want to make your holiday a nightmare, stay at this hotel! Do you want to experience Koh Chang the way it should be? Avoid this hotel!
- GrandTour41073333759 (6/5): Needs management to improve this resort - We rented one of the rooms with direct beach access. The room had two double beds and a shower room. Very little storage. The room has access to a patio area with chairs and sunbeds. It has a great view of the beach. Unfortunately the management is not upto 4*. For example, they empty food into open topped bins and leave them outside for you to walk past each evening and pretty much outside the room. They allow staff to sit around and use the area that the guest has paid for. It is an ok hotel for a fair price on a great beach.
- 9jaynek (2/5): AVOID THIS PLACE!!! - In our view this place should not be presented as a hotel - it is more akin to a bad hostel. We booked using Viator and all shots are MANY years out of date and the resort is now desperately in need of care and attention. (Likewise shots on Booking.com) Many of the reviews on Viator seem too good to be recent too !! It’s location - right on the beach - IS it’s USP , but they are shamefully playing on that! Clearly there has been no investment in the facilities for a long time and they are now tired, botched together in places and downright dirty. We paid around £100 for 2 nights and have been seriously taken for a ride at that price. In my view this hotel needs investigating and taking down from all sites. Our room was poolside with single curtains - no voile / net type curtains for modesty. One central light switch, no bedside lights, only one cabinet, grubby & battered ‘panelling’ in lieu of headboard and only 1 pillow each. Air-con was good but noisy but overnight we awoke to condensation on patio windows The bathroom… where to begin .. at least the shower was hot BUT the shower drained to a hole in the ground, all shower fittings encrusted with scale an grime. The window was rotten, ill fitting and plain mouldy! Felt like you were in a shack not a hotel bathroom. In 2 days we saw no cleaning of facilities or our room. Beer at the bar / cafe is expensive and food uninspiring. We ate all our meals elsewhere. I was frustrated that we paid upfront for this place as otherwise we would have left immediately. Please don’t make the same mistake as we did!
- Jesper (2/5): Cockroach Nighmare - We booked the Family Beachfront Cottage at Apple Beachfront resort. It was more on the pricy side but we decided to treat ourselves and in the pictures it looked very nice. Unfortunatelly the reality was far from nice at all. The room was a dump to be honest and on top of that it was dirty and smelly. The staff seemed to have no clue at all that we had made a reservation and paid in full so the checkin was a nightmare on it’s own. However we decited to make the best of it because we were only staying for a couple of nights and we were on the beach afterall. When it was time to turn in and we moved one of the pillows a heard of huge cocroaches spread out throughout the bed. We discovered that the wall molding was down behind one of the beds and cocroaches were litreally curling up on the sides and in the bed. We were horrified! That was the final drop and we decided that we couldn’t stay there. No one from the staff was there and we werent able to contact them on the phone. Fortunatelly we got a room in a hotel nearby after a short walk, because it was past midnigt afterall. The following day we went back to Apple beach and demanded a refund but the hotel declined our request as did Hotels.com. So in the end we had to pay for another hotel on top of the first one. Terrible service, dirty common areas, just entirely unaccaptable!

- Oliver (4/5): - Typischer Thaistyle, Bungalow B1 direkt am Wasser. Frühstück konnten wir über Ankreuzkarten bestellen, dieses wurde dann direkt auf unsere Terrasse gebracht. Der Obstteller war recht groß, Kaffee war Nescafé, Einpackmarmelade gab es aber recht gute fluffige Pancakes. Das Zimmer: Bett war gut, ansonsten „pfeift“ es durch alle Ritzen, sorgt immerhin für einen leichten Luftzug im Zimmer, wenn die Klimaanlage aus sein sollte. Wenige Meter weiter nördlich beginnt der überaus schöne Strandabschnitt des whitesandbeach. Die Massagen im Resort sind gut. Außerhalb an der Straße ist der kleine streetfoodmarket, Typ: Essen holen und auf dem Balkon genießen! Fazit: Max. 2 Sterne für die Unterkunft, Ausblick super, Frühstück solala, Strand wenige Meter weiter toll. Adends beginnt überall das Grillen und die Feuershows.

- Sarah (10/5): Great location and friends staff - It was a small and cosy hotel right by the sea. Great restaurant with really friendly staff. Some maintainance was needed on the surroundings. The rooms were ok standard considering the price. We were overall very pleased with our stay.

Men denne plassen har så stort potensiale. Kommer ikke tilbake før de har pusset opp. Flyttet til nytt hotell på kho Chang etter 2 dager.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Gammalt och slitet - Mycket gammal standard på rummen och dessutom inte speciellt rent. Frukosten under all kritik. Det enda positiva med sett hotellet är att det ligger precis vid havet. Jag rekommenderar ingen att bo här.

Frigo non funzionante e con ruggine che dopo segnalazione ci è stato cambiato. Volevano che lasciassi la camera prima dell'orario previsto . Complesso da ristrutturare rrist,mandarci via prima delle 14.00 rotto
- RALF (6/5): - Schön am Strand. Aber die Fotos sind wohl auch 10 Jahre alt. Leider war der Pool nicht benutzbar. Gruen und nicht gereinigt. Dafür hatte das Meet.
- Petri (8/5): Hyvä majapaikka kaikinpuolin - Oma ranta-alue. Viileä virkistävä oma allas josta osittainen näkymä merelle. Pieni oma ravintola mistä saa ruokaa ja juomia. 7-11 kadulla liki. Huoneissa hyvät aängyt ja tyynyt! Hyvä ilmastointi. Skootteri vuokraus mahdollisuus kadun toisella puolella. Paljon parempi kuin odotin. Olen Changilla vieraillut vuodesta 2012 vuosittain ja majoittunut huomattavasti kalleemmissa kuin tämä mutta kyllä täällä kelpasi olla. Ja voin suositella tätä hyvillä mielin muillekkin.

- jo anne (8/5): - Hard to find, signage on the side of the building coming down the alley is faded and tough to see from a distance. The pool was very good the first few days but rather murky the third, I suspect that the chemicals were not balanced. Nice à la carte breakfast. We were supposed to have a “deluxe poolside” room, nothing too deluxe about it. Great beach access from the restaurant, decent beach furniture. Overall a good budget stay for the price we paid.

- Rikke (6/5): - Very much back to Thai style from the good old days. Much of the resort is made of wood. It’s not luxurious, but it got what you need and is very close to the beach. Sweetest staff!
- Ramac300 (10/5): Hotel on the beach - Beachfront Hotel with pool and lush greenery all around the pool for shade. Great value. The beds were large, and rooms have fridge and coffee making facilities. Barxand restaurant were OK for breakfast but not a huge menu and not a very well stocked bar, butt's of bars and restaurants nearby.
- 763byrong (2/5): Worst on White Sand Beach #AppleBeachfront Resort, Koh Chang - Old, dated and Mouldly. Thos place is such a disaster not even a sewerage rat wouod want to stsy here. As the pictures can attest this is probably the worst place to stay oj the island. The pool is dirty. Broken dirty deck chairs. No wifi. Noisy aircon. No HOT water rubbisglh piled everywhere. Even in reception.... 🤯 Broken wooden walkways dirty and Mouldly bathroom. Greasy bed linen. Checked out promptly and found cheaper and more comfortable accomodation 1 block away. Much better places just a few steps away. The pictures on their hotels. Com agoda and Expedia are old and dated. Noisy kids in the dirty pool. The receptionist is the cleaner as well. Infested with insects mosquitos crickets and 🦎 geckos

- Ville (10/5): Excellent place with wonderful staff! - We had extremely good stay at the resort. The staff was great and very helpful even though it was a bit challenging to find a common language occasionally! The location is perfect as the beach is awesome, all the services are just around the corner and you can easily take day trips from there to anywhere in the island.
- Vaccination_Centre (8/5): Friendly family restaurant - Good fresh food, fish from charcoal grill, good value for money, fantastic location at / on beach, very friendly staff. We sat there every day and or evening with a drink at sunset. Great - we‘ll be back!

- Remy (10/5): A stay at Apple beachfront resort - I traveled Alone to KOH chang, found Apple resort and Even after 5 nights of stay and a motorbike trip around the Island, I found That This was the best location of a resort:D only thing to remark was the light walls to the Street, but they normaly went silent around 22:00 so just a reminder:)
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The staff at the restaurant kept getting orders wrong. Really annoying! There was one man in the restaurant that was really professional. But the rest of the staff were nice and helpful. The rooms were very nice and clean. Altough our toilet didn't flush so good. But our friends toilet worked well.
- André (8/5): - Väldigt bra service i receptionen. Personalen som jobbade där var väldigt hjälpsam bed både uthyrning av moped samt olika önskemål på hotellet. Restaurangen hade mindre bra service, frukosten var ofta slut och personalen var väldigt dåliga på engelska. Fräscha rum, men tyvärr är rummen väldigt lyhört.
- ingemar (10/5): Toppenvistelse på white sand beach - Fantastiskt läge på den fina delen av white sand beach. När man går ut på gatan så kommer man direkt till matmarknaden som är en höjdpunkt på kvällen. God mat och bra service. Chefen på resorten var verkligen ”serviceminded”. Det enda som finns att nämna är att det var dåligt med flöde på dushvattnet på ett av våra 2 rum, men det är inget större bekymmer. Mycket prisvärt. Vi kommer helt klart tillbaka och vi kan varmt rekommendera det till andra
- Rebecka (6/5): Helt ok hotell men inte mer än så - Vi fick ett rum som var rent men otroligt lyhört ut mot de andra rummen samt mot gatan där de spelar musik till ca 23.00. Hjälpsam personal, lite smaklös mat, bra läge. Våra vänner fick dock ett mögelskadat rum som luktade fruktansvärt så verkar vara högt och lågt på rummen. Något annat som vi inte uppskattade var att hotellet typ är invaderat av svenska barnfamiljer där föräldrarna typ super och har mentaliteten ”lägga handdukarna på solstolarna kl 07.00”.
- jb1233 (8/5): Perfect location. Nice quad room. - Pros: the two quad rooms on the 3rd floor (C301 and C302) are secluded and private - perfect for our two families (4 adults and 4 teens). We had our own porch with chairs and tables and a view of the night market on the street behind the hotel (the patios face into the quiet court yard and are secluded, but you can peek around to the busy street). Beach access is amazing!!!! Restaurant overlooks beach and the breakfast that comes with the reservation is a nice buffet with both Thai and Western food. Pool is sheltered from the sun and is in a central courtyard. Easy for kids to use while adults grab a beer from the restaurant. Air conditioning is cold. Complementary waters in fridge in room and Nescafé and hotpot provided. Staff was helpful in arranging a taxi to the South end of the island. We also took a snorkel tour with ThaiFun and they picked us up right on Apple’s beach. Massage provided for a small fee (350 baht for an hour of Thai oil massage) right at the pool in a pagoda. Cons: Low water pressure (maybe because we were on the 3rd floor?) Property is slightly dated. But beds were firm and linen was clean. Shower and toilet had no divider between. Overall: we will stay here again!!! Highly recommended for families

Oengagerad och man fick fel trots att man fick fylla i ett lapp på vad man ville ha på frukosten samt att det bara var 2 familjer på plats. Fint att vi fick behålla rummet en stund extra utan kostnad. Åt frukost där , den var bra när man fick vad man beställt. Åt en lunch men då var nudlarna ej genomkokta sedan åt vi inte mer lunch där

- DAEHEUM (8/5): 애들과 같이기기에 편안한 숙소 - 백사장과 바다가 숙소 앞에 있어 애들이 놀기 좋았고 수영장도 애들이 놀기 좋았습니다. 한가지 아쉬운점은 주차장이 따로 없어 차를 가지고 가시는분은 좀 고생하세요.. ^^ 주변에 야시장도 있고 위치조건, 주변 환경은 아주 좋았습니다.
- Verified traveler (8/5): good but little bit old middle class reaort - rooms are ok, but the water in the shower runs very slow. the food in the restaurant is not good... you find much better food in the restaurants around the car-parking lot is extremly small.. must park car on the street.. otherwise ur car is blocked, as they have many thai-customers arriving with their car. the resort at all is meanwhile a little bit old and would need some renovations. it´s very central and not far from the end of the beautiful sandy beach all in all it´s a good resort to stay...
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The hotel is right on the beach. Many restaurants around, including hotel's own. The road on the other side of the hotel has a lot of street food stalls. The rooms are just basic and bathrooms are very small. If you want to spend a lot of time in the comfort of the room, this hotel will not suit you. Another problem is parking. The parking can accommodate around six cars, but every time one car is to be moved, at least two other cars will have to be moved as well. So the staff phones you when somebody wants to take out his or her car. This happened to me thrice in just one day. But maybe you can leave the car outside in a public parking, around 100-150 m away. Staff was very helpful, though it looked under staffed.
