- emma (2/5): Not as it looks - Don’t be fooled into thinking you will be staying in the main house. We ended up in some out building which was some way from the main house. Door to the building left open all night. Booked for 2 people, we were provided 1 towel, 1 cup, 1 glass. In a room that would pass for a dorm room. Single glazing and no way of controlling the room temperature
- JOHN (8/5): Country Manor House worth staying at. - The drive in up the driveway was amazing. Then entering car park with the building in view. Wow. Very pleasant young receptionist greeted us. Then slight issue with the booking. I had booked a ex. Twin room. They did not have this just a double. I was with my adult son, so no good. Housekeeper had finished for day. Result was they gave us a second room at no extra cost. Everything else was excellent.
- Nate (10/5): - Beautiful grounds, and the staff were so attentive. The breakfast was large and well prepared. The hall I stayed in was a little outdated, and the room could be improved.

The property on the website looks like a nice old building but reality there are quite ugly grey units providing other accommodation too. Bar/restaurant was not open on arrival which was a shame as we were planning on dining. Breakfast was a shamble very little left when we arrived at 930. No bread, pastries, hot cooked food had also been designated so ended up having very little. Seems they weren’t adequately staffed for a busy weekend due to local events. The room itself though was nice, comfortable and clean.

Plenty of parking.Breakfast was excellent and great staff.Room in a detatched accomodation block was very clean and comfortable, the only issue was getting enough hot water which was reported to reception.
- Caroline (10/5): A gem of a find! - I was so impressed with this fabulous place. Arrived in the dark full of trepidation as the grounds and building felt huge. Was soon orientated by the friendly receptionist. Room was beautiful, spacious and I had a gorgeous bath. The next day I was greeted by super friendly staff - in particular a gentleman in the restaurant - and I had a wonderful breakfast. I then checked out and spent 3 hours working in the magnificent bar area. I was sad to leave. Thank you I will definitely be back.

We were expecting to stay in the old house (with character) rather than uni style blocks, although the room itself was lovely. The sales pictures etc are misleading. Some of the accommodation blocks need better signage.

- Matthew (2/5): Poor - Honestly from start to finish this was not great. We arrived to find reception is a while away from the rooms, my husband has a prosthetic leg and there was no offer of help with bags or to the room. The room had a leaky dripping toilet, completely basic room, incredibly uncomfortable bed, (rock hard & pokey springs) We booked late checkout, which was a waste of time because the cleaner let herself into our room at 9am, then knocked again repeatedly at 10.15 (checkout was 11am!)
- Christine (10/5): Excellent chef - The grounds are wonderful, hotel is in a great location.check in and restaurant staff were particularly good. The food was excellent!! Compliments to the chef for producing an outstanding 3 course meal for £24.99. He surpassed our expectations. Breakfast was also very fresh. Only thing is the 10% discount off food and drinks was a little complicated but great value all around and we will definitely be back. Great room with everything you could need.

- Chris (10/5): - This is a gem. We stayed on a Sunday evening having had a long day in Birmingham (40 mins north). It was quiet but beautiful and the staff were lovely. The main building is i assume an old stately home and our room was in ond of a few new wings. The room itself was spacious and spotless. We had a grest night's sleep and in the morning the shower was great. Breakfast was also plentiful and delicious. To top it off it was incredible value.

- shirley (10/5): - Ashorne Hill is primarily a Business Conference Centre that occasionally has rooms available for private visitors in the periods when they don't have a high number of rooms taken up by delegates to confrences or traing courses. It has good restaurant facilities. Rooms are small-ish but entirely adequate and comfortable. The Hall's setting is delightful and peaceful
- Robert (2/5): Failed to return my laptop charger - I left my computer charger plugged in the wall socket next to the bed, I called within 2hrs of checking out to notify the hotel that i had done this but even having had to called back the next day too they claimed (or their cleaning staff claimed) that they had not found it. I absolutely did leave it in the room, there was no way I was confused and did not. Very disappointed with the poor service of the hotel and I suspect dishonest nature of their cleaning staff.
- Gerard (10/5): Overnight stay - Booked for 1 night prior to an onsite overnight stay. Asked if I could stay in the room I was in rather than move to the one for the next night. Absolutely no problems in facilitating this, stayed loads of times before all excellent
- Jake (6/5): Disappointing service - Strange layout with rooms other side of the campus, room it self was clean and comfy. Service in the bar was poor waited over 15 minutes in a queue for a drink as one member of staff for quite a number of customers was not enough! I asked if I could get a table in the restaurant and was told if I was eating on my own I had to order from the bar menu and sit in the bar area. I ended up leaving hotel and going to leamington spa to find food.

- Michael (8/5): Recommended only let down by average evening meal - Very friendly and helpful staff on reception. The room we had was in the quadrant and just a very shot walk to the main house. Plenty of parking close by and the hotel grounds are lovely. Our room was a very good size and very clean. The bathroom was large too, with a full-size bath. The evening meal was a bit of let down, considering everything else was so good. Nothing wrong with it, but it wasn't great and not that cheap either. The breakfast, though, was excellent - plenty of choice and all very good quality. Overall, the price was very good value for money with great room and breakfast. Just go somewhere else for a better evening meal.

Dinner was expensive for what was basically a ' pub ' type meal....A lovely breakfast was spoilt by the fact they had ' run out ' of Brown sauce !!!! Unbelievable ! Also having staff that can actually speak good English would be a bonus as well.

To be situated In a court yard that looked like it needed a face lift and the garden was ... well undesired to.say the least ... could be so beautiful... Staff at breakfast were so unfriendly and didn't even say good morning .... Check.out staff didn't ask.how our stay was ?????? The girl on reception was to busy picking food out of her teeth..... 9.30 check out needs to be clear when booking ......

- Mike (10/5): - When I arrived the booking in system was down. and there was slight delay in booking the guest in However all the staff whom were on duty ensured that it didn't disrupt their excellent and professional service. They got all the guest whom had arrived to their rooms as quickly as possible you'd never think their system was down (if they hadn't mentioned it). Food was good. Rooms were clean and tidy and very quiet. All the staff were very pleasant All in all I'd revisit anytime and recommend this hotel to everyone.

Outside in the quad was a bit run down it is part of jaguar land rover training centre and sign posting not clear unless you know this. Room and breakfast good value. Room itself quite modern and warm. Bar meals very expensive £19 for a burger and pint of Murphy's! Overall pleasant stay

- James (4/5): Failed to live uo to first impression - I stayed here not too long ago and I thought it was fantastic. I had a room in the Old Quad, which was brilliant. The room was spacious, well appointed and comfortable. I was very impressed with this place and I had a great stay. This time, however, I did not. I was given a room in Evesham block, which, frankly was the size of a shoe box. I did some rudimentary measurments with my feet. The room was approximately 12ft x 10ft. There was a tiny "desk" next to the wardrobe where the kettle is. Barely room for my laptop and nothing else. Instead of a proper chair there was a little stool to sit on. Hardly great for working. I can't really fault the service or the breakfast, they were great. But for the price I paid I expected a decent sized room that I could work in. The cost was more than a Travelodge type place, but the room was roughly half the size of a standard Travelodge room. After such a great stay last time I was here, I was really looking forward to coming back, but I was very disappointed. Unless the hotel lists the different sized rooms seperately on the hotel.com website I wouldn't consider coming back here, which is a real shame. But I don't want to have to stay in one of those rooms again. I could easily pay about the same or less to stay in a proper sized room at the Days Inn on the motorway service station 3 miles away.
- James (10/5): A gem hidden in plain sight. - Room was nice, pillows weren't to the standard I'd expect in a place like this. Beautiful location, and not so remote that a black car/taxi would be a long wait/high cost if you cared to venture out.
- Chris (10/5): An unexpected location - Lovely location and cheaper than staying in the town, with plentiful free parking and wifi thrown in. Well appointed facilities, the only downside is the bedrooms are very small, but the restaurant was pretty good value given the high quality of the food.

Food was good although the portion size leads a little to be desired and the bar doesn't open until 6:00pm and the restaurant 7:00pm

- Sue (8/5): Beautiful setting and extremely clean new bedroom. - This location is extremely quiet yet perfect for the M40/M42. Its a campus so the facilities are spread out with quite a lot of walking required which is only a hardship if you don't like walking. Lovely summers evening but might be a bit breezy on winter's day. Fabulous views of open countryside and the old college buildings. There's a pristine bar , restaurant and other facilities. The room was small in a modern block but well lit and very clean. Nice bathroom with big shower!

- Patrick (4/5): Not what it seems - We stayed in a small run-down block that wasn't part of the main house. The rooms were very tired, there was no air-con (the rooms were very hot), and the block looked like it should be condemned. Neither me nor my colleague in the next room slept well, and we won't stay there again.
- nick (2/5): Disappointed - Great hotel very picturesque however, it all depend what building they locate you in. No swimming pool and you need to book the sauna. over all a very disappointing stay for me. Had trouble getting in my room more than once.
- Steve (6/5): Wow then disappointment - Beautiful setting but should have read the reviews about the rooms. The main building looks fantastic but when you get directed out of the main hall to the rooms the wow factor ends. The rooms are in sort of prefab blocks and are TINY. Furniture and bed are prehistoric and the rooms are not fit for an average size person. Now the wifi connection was excellent and the food in the bar also very good. Breakfast was good and the staff superb but unfortunately I won't stay here again because of the room size.

- Verified traveler (2/5): Very poor room - What can i say apart from very poor indeed. The picture implies you might be staying in the main house but upon arrival i was sent to an outbuilding that looked like something from the early 70's. No mention of wifi codes, breakfast times, dinner times, anything. When i inquired i was given a piece of paper with the details on it, nice, not. The room was tiny and dated, dark brown very cheap bathroom door, old bath, shower curtain that smelt musty, shower that had seen better days, flooring lifted around toilet base and badly stained. Bulbs in the room that don't work, a TV that had a damaged screen. The ceiling that, lets face it you stare at most of the time, was made of old "office style" hanging tiles. I stay in about 30 hotels a year and can honestly say the room i had was the worst i have ever been given. The restaurant was an experience, upon arrival my table was pointed out by number and then when sat i was asked what I wanted. The menu was a set menu with no prices?? Trying to get the prices proved a challenge. If you paid £30 for a night you would probably just shrug your shoulders and put up with it, but for nearly £80.00 its shocking. I guess that if you book with them and ask for a room in the main house it could be nice, but if you arrive and get directed to the rooms away from the main building you may want to prepare yourself.......
- Richard (8/5): Nice but undergoing refurbishment - Nice hotel in beautiful grounds and clearly set up for hosting large events. room was comfortable if a little on the cold side, shower was fantastic and over all a nice place to stay. The on site bar serves great food and staff give service with a smile I usually don't eat on site when staying away preferring to sample local eateries however the food here was incredibly good and offset the fact it is situated somewhat isolated from other locations. Negatives are mainly due to it clearly undergoing limited refurbishment in some areas. Rooms look fantastic but while the decorators are in paint smells are strong in some areas. nothing you can't get over but is a niggle.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Business Stay 1 Night - I stayed at this hotel following meetings in Stafford and ready for meetings in Warwick the next day, my stay was limited as I got there at 8pm so simply checked in, hassle free, friendly staff who guided me to my room. the grounds and hotel seem amazing but unfortunately I had no time to experience these. My stay was very pleasant and would definitely stay here again, hoping to visit in the summer to experience facilities and grounds.
