Guest Reviews
- Irina (4/5): - Old mattresses in stains, but comfortable, old furniture, but new bathtub.
- Joe (2/5): Charged me twice - I went to check in, got there around 630 only to be told the front desk was closed. He owned the other motel, pleasant motel, and offered my a room there. I told him I already paid and he said "yes they'll refund you"
I was exhausted, wet and just wanted to get in my room.
I saw on my credit card that I was charged, twice. This crooked individual was rude, condescending and manipulative.
The rooms also weren't great, they were filthy, damp, and the beds were too short
Not worth the hassle
- Paul (4/5): - TV didnt work properly/no towels in bathroom/no plastic cups for drinking/lights didnt work/toilet didnt work properly
- Nelson (2/5): Dirty Motel - Room is dirty. Flying buds everywhere.
Light bulbs were flashing if turn on two lights.
- Mirasol (4/5): - N/A
- Ankitkumar (2/5): - I book my room online.I go there and see room was so bad and smelly. I cancel my room .they still charge me full price.I never go there
- ivan (2/5): - Bad
- Alexandea (10/5): - Very clean and nice. Cheap price and good location. Large room, very friendly owner.
- Jason (8/5): Good value - You cant expect amazing for the price. The kitchen was good, bathroom was good, the rest, so/so. Stayed 3 nights, room didnt get cleaned until i left. No big deal, but be prepared. Id stay agan.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Great service - Service was great. I had to check in late, called ahead and it was a non-issue. They offered to stay late to help me out. Room unfortunately smelled like cigarette smoke, called them to make sure they knew it wasn’t me, which they understood and apologized for. Can’t fault them for previous renters. Room is clearly being upgraded, wasn’t too bad for the price!
- Harshul (6/5): - The lady working there was really nice! The motel was in the middle of nowhere. That’s the only thing I didn’t like.
- Jeff (4/5): - Cold at night, no heat in washroom, no hooks to hang coats
- Verified traveler (2/5): - There’s was nothing pleasant about this place at all. The room reeked of cigarette smoke, the carpet was filthy. Wouldn’t recommend to an enemy.
- Feras (6/5): - Room are too small, not clean, No lampshade, No clothes hangers, smells awful sticking, it’s not advisable to stay here, I book it because I cannot find another option, all hotel and motels are fully booked.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - The bathroom was the only modern thing about the room.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Old . Light at bed didn’t work. Fan in bathroom didn’t work.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - This property is a dingy dirty run down derelict of a property. The smell coming out of the office was horrible. When we tried to cancel the property owner refused. Do not stsy here all the good reviews are phony
- Biker (6/5): - Bed was comfortable. Room was clean. Bathroom was upgraded. Property was very quiet. Didn’t care for the use of a bedspread. They are unhygienic and don’t fit the decor or look the rooms are aiming for. Bedside tables would be helpful. Overall good value for the price
- Quintin (2/5): smell ssmoke - no good smells smoke
- Chris (8/5): Ok for the price - It wasn't too bad considering it is the cheapest place in the area. The owner was friendly and check in was easy.
Mostly only basics. A small flatscreen. A mini fridge which you don't always get at this price point (but no microwave). Poor lighting, only one overhead lamp. Bed was ok.
I walk into the bathroom in the morning to find it so cold I decided to skip the shower. You have to keep the door open about halfway so that the heating system which is behind the door can get into the bathroom.
Location was between Wasaga and Collingwood. The nearest store was 10 minutes away, so get your groceries well before you arrive. Not the nicest area, no lake view.
- HY (4/5): - i did not like anything about this place and for sure will not return again. this was last minute reservation and needed a place to stay and there were no other options.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - They don't have any jacket hanger ?????????????????
- Julie (2/5): - We booked from the internet but when we got there, the place looked like a dump. We viewed the room and it did not seem the cleanest. The office was attached to their living quarters and the smell of whatever they were cooking was terrible. Not a good first impression. We did cancel our booking and went somewhere else.
- Nouman (10/5): Good Value - Good value for the money spent
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Very clean and comfortable. Gardens and picnic area very nice.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - CLEAN NEWLY REFRESHED COMFORTABLE BED ...GOT A GOOD NIGHT SLEEP ….QUIET AREA !!
- Danny (8/5): - one night stay. Clean and comfortable. unit was updated and well maintained. good value.
- Patt (10/5): Superb - Awesome and beautiful
- Verified traveler (6/5): - They need to advertise that they have two locations.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - It had a bed and a tv and a dresser and a locked door and
- Yuliya (8/5): Better then it looks from outside - Clean, washroom and kitchen area are renovated. Bedsheets were clean, lots of towels... good place, great price
- Verified traveler (4/5): - clean room but not rested, I was quickly awakened by the light of day and several times in the night by the humidity and the noise of cars. There is also a strong smell of cigarettes.
Ants, Spiders, no curtains in small windows, toilet hangs...
so for 123$ for one night is too much for this quality!!
- Jessi (8/5): - Average standard of the room but very clean. I recommend staying in this motel..
- Alvin (6/5): - If you don't mind spied nest out side your door and flies at your room, then will be OK. Front door and washroom door hard to close. renovated washroom and painted all walls
- Lori (8/5): - Staff was very pleasant. room was clean. we stayed 1 night
- Regularshmo (8/5): Nice, little place - I really liked this motel and the location. Was clean and owner and staff were extremely friendly and helpful. It may look a little run down on the outside, but you will be surprised by the bright, spacious rooms. Fridge and microwave included.
- Topher (6/5): For a night... - The hotel is a great location, great price and freshly renovated inside.
The bed is a little hard - but compares to most motel beds. Great place to lay your head while enjoying the area.
- RL (4/5): Don’t be fooled - We booked this motel with very realistic expectations. We knew it would be very simple accommodations, but the reviews said it was clean and that was good enough for us. Upon check-in, we paid for our room (which was booked through Expedia) and noticed in their bookings log that the other rooms were paying almost less than half the price of what we were paying for a night’s stay. The price through Expedia was $150 + tax and other rooms were paying $85. I understand tourist areas inflating prices, but I don’t appreciate being gouged.
To add to this, we were woken up at 7 the following morning by screaming both in the room beside us and eventually outside our room. I am not sure if the person was high or not, but some type of domestic dispute occurred which resulted in us calling the police because there was no intervention by the motel staff after almost 10 minutes of this going on. Safe to say we got out of there as soon as the OPP arrived.
If you are booking, make sure to be diligent when checking the room rate. We personally would not stay here again.
- Rachelle (6/5): - It was ok, room was ok, burn holes in the blanket, great kitchen and washroom, room needs a window covering, my daughter was up at 6 with the sunand à brightly lit room, reception person was a bit rude.
- Jane (8/5): Nice place - It is clean as it is newly renovated. Staff are friendly. You just need to request for extra towels and tea pot as they are not available in the room. Location is not bad it is just dark at night on the way to the hotel.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice and Inexpensive - We happened to be at the Collingwood Motel the weekend in April with the snow and freezing. Our park lot was plowed in the evening and others we know where at the Blue Mountain Resort paying three times the amount and they were getting stuck in the parking lot.
You can tell they have been renovating the rooms and all though there are still things to complete, the rooms were clean, the mattresses were new and the bathrooms were all redone.
The price was right for a place to sleep at night and a place to shower. We weren't looking for fancy but the rooms were very pleasing.
- wendy (4/5): Ok - Bathroom renovated. Bedspreads disgusting
- Murray (8/5): - Clean and the bed was amazingly comfortable. Needs some hooks for hanging ski clothing for drying.
- Davoud (8/5): - I staid oke nighy. It was too noisy because of water running in pipes and fridge.
Over all was good in that price and good area and close to intertainment area.blue Mountain Village and Scandinave spa
- claire (6/5): A place to rest your head - This hotel is nothing special but you get what you pay for. Nice and close to Blue Mountain, about a 15 min drive, and much cheaper than hotels/condos in the area. The room was tiny, and the cable on the tv didn't work, but the room and bathroom were clean, and it had a microwave and mini-fridge. If you are looking for somewhere clean affordable to just sleep at night, it will work just fine.
- Amanda (4/5): - We took a chance, as this was the last room available in Collingwood Family Day Weekend. The room was in poor repair. No actual heating system, just two small space heaters. Thankfully it wasn't too cold outside and we were warm enough. The bed sheets we covered in white powder...laundry detergent I'm guessing. We weren't brave enough to shower here, as there were dead bugs in the tub and lots of cobwebs in the bathroom.
- Anna (8/5): Nice small motel close to Blue Mountain Resort - Nice, quiet, good location, clean, newly renovated nice bathroom, excellent TV, fridge and micro provided
- josh (8/5): good for a night or two - wouldnt choose this for a week vacation but its decently close to blue 10-15 min drive and worth the money for a night or two
- Lynda (2/5): Ice Hotel - The heat did not work and the sink and shower did not drain properly. The room temperature was 50 degrees all night. Cheap but not worth it.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Tired motel - Get what you pay for. For just one night it seems ok and clean enough.
