- Christina (10/5): -
- Demetrius (10/5): - Location quite and location with all the shopping centers.
- Tiffany (10/5): -
- Jan (10/5): This is a nice clean comfortable hotel to stay in. - The hotel is clean,. The staff are friendly and the breakfast is good. I really don't have any complaints.
- Lenita (10/5): - Very centrally located to EVERYTHING!!! Front Desk, Delilah (i believe that's how you spell her name) was AMAZING, UNDERSTANDING, AND CONSIDERATE!!!!
- Belen (1/5): Very disappointing. - It was friendly at first then issues started happening Very disappointing stay. Our room was noisy from the start, and when we requested a move, we were only offered a less desirable option.
Later, we were locked out for almost 1 hour due to a malfunctioning door and had to wait while my husband assisted the receptionist in opening it. We asked to be moved to avoid the issue happening again, but the only option was a downgrade, which we declined. The staff member became upset and even suggested the issue was our fault since I did not wanted the room from the beginning
We were told maintenance could come after midnight, which was not reasonable. Despite other rooms being available, no proper solution was offered because we booked through a third party.
What was most frustrating is that no one, including management, followed up with us the next day.
Overall, poor service, lack of accountability, and no resolution. I would not stay here again.
- Brandy (3/5): I had a bad experience I had to wait over 30 minutes for the receptionists to come and check me in - The bed was comfortable Too much space
- Bruce (8/5): -
- Veronica (9/5): Great stay. Plan to stay again when we have to be back in the area in June. - Very clean. Comfortable beds, pillows not great. Breakfast was good with several options. A few dinner options on same lot.
- Linda (9/5): Pleasant. I’ll stay here again if opportunity arises. - The entire bath needed to be remodeled. The vanity was tilted off the wall and needs to be replaced. The tub area needs to be checked for possible small mold issue. They may be under going remodel in part of hotel already. The room was spacious, clean and had comfortable beds.
- Rachell (10/5): - All Nothing
- Edwards (5/5): - The costumer service was great, Desiah was great! Think I spelled her name wrong the lady from New Orleans The price
- Alicia (10/5): -

- Curiosity563144 (6/5): Find another place. - We checked in late and definitely not greeted well felt like we bothered the receptionist. The room was fine, bed was great but the next morning took a shower and see pics gross that’s mold! Check out went as well as check in the receptionist was bothered not a good morning or thank you just “what did I need” and “email will be sent” this is definitely not a 4.3 in opinion!
- Jessica (3/5): Not very clean facility - It was great location It wasn’t very clean.
- Justin (10/5): -
- Alexander (8/5): -
- Michael (9/5): -
- Thomas (4/5): - Location Poor room layout loads of space no furniture, water or plumbing left Black stain in all water fixtures didn't shower was afraid of water quality.
- Cambria (10/5): -
- LittleMiss99 (6/5): Under construction - I would like to start with the good things. It had a great breakfast. It had very friendly staff. It also had some problems. The fire alarm went off every morning at 7:30 in our rooms when reporting it to the desk three different guests responded, saying it happened to them in their room also, we were there for four days and it went off all four days. The shower had mold on it, and the paint was peeling. It did have a lot of great hot water. There were stains on the furniture and mold on the outside window that you looked out. I was contacted via email by the manager, however, when I responded to my pictures and my concerns, I never got a call back or an email back. I do want to say that JOEL was very helpful and very proactive.
- nathaniel (5/5): Not clean but good location - Great location. My room was dirty, hair in the shower, black dots that look like mold on the roof in the bathroom. Hair on the wall and floor.
- Chelsy (1/5): Disgusting. Rude staff. Stay far away unless you like spiderwebs and hair. - Nothing. Absolutely nothing. This hotel is the worst hotel I’ve stayed in in years. First of all, we showed up at 2 PM. The lady at the front desk wouldn’t even come let us check in because it was an hour early. The entire parking lot was empty, and she was sitting in the lobby. She rudely says “you can’t check in until 3 pm”. I’ve NEVER had a hotel not let us check in early. Was I expecting our room to be ready? No. But at least let us check in!
So we come back around 8 pm, and now there’s a man at the front desk singing and acting very odd. He gives us a room key and we get to our room and our bed isn’t made, the bathroom is disgusting, and there’s even HAIR on the wall.
So, we come back down to the front desk and they say the have a suite for us. We go to our suite and it’s still not super clean. But, better than the first room. A HUGE spider web right above the bed though. So gross.
- Prewitt (7/5): - Close to shopping and restaurants. Accommodating for our wedding party/family. A little pricey, but not horrible for the location
- Sharon (1/5): -
- Jerry (8/5): - Location was convenient for just passing through
- Michael (10/5): -
- Felecia (9/5): - The location was in a good place for shopping. The price was low. The staff was friendly and helpful. There wasn't a lot left of breakfast when we got there. They shut it down an hour before it was supposed to. We had to take what was left.
- Jami (10/5): - This property is kind of off the beaten path, but was clean, safe and easy to get to. Lots of families and felt very safe.
- Joel (10/5): - Good
- Stefanie (10/5): - Everything was perfect and would've loved to stay longer. The room was clean bed comfortable, and location perfect, near all our favorite restaurants.
- Rachel (10/5): -
- Leona (9/5): Enjoyed. Will be back. - Good Commode was too low to the floor.
- Gabrielle (10/5): - Love the digital key and the convenience of it!
- Gene (4/5): Disappointment! - The TV in our first room was broken. They gave us another room, but the guide didn't show any conservative channels like Fox News. I went down and complained. The response was, Oh no, it's there. Just go to channel 43 and wait for the cartoons to come up and then hit the channel up button. What a pain. Also, you advertised breakfast. that would just be a continental type, not a real
breakfast (bacon, eggs, etc.) We'll stay at Best Western next time.
- Gabrielle (10/5): - The staff is amazing and very accommodating.
- Robbin (10/5): -
- Robbin (10/5): -
- Krystal (10/5): Always great - Everything was great. Check in was fast and easy. Breakfast was ok. Everything had pork in it though. And i don't eat pork. Other than that, it was clean and quiet.
- Alan (10/5): - It good
- Adesola (9/5): -
- RICKEY (9/5): My stay was good. - Breakfast was good with several options available.
- Gabrielle (10/5): - The staff was amazing! Very welcoming.
- Laurie (8/5): - Clean and convenient
- Samuel (6/5): - All was clean and in order, room was clean, bed was somewhat comfortable, shower and tub could use some work. Towels were clean but scratchy. Employees were polite. Breakfast was the worst I've had at a hotel. Not what i expected from Hampton.
- Mark (8/5): - I had called 4-5 days before we were scheduled to arrive to check on the pool. I was told the pool would be available. Unfortunately, the pool was closed for the season.
- Connie (10/5): Relaxing and enjoyable - Rooms, breakfast overall cleanliness. Staff is always friendly.. The mattress.
- Shawnakay (10/5): - The room was amazing
- Denise (10/5): Very comfortable and convenient. - Comfort, clean, and convenient
- Kenny (10/5): - Great Hotel!!!
- Angela (10/5): - Front desk was very helpful. Very clean nice hotel
- holt (5/5): - Breakfast was great They didn't tell us ahead that tge pool area was closed:(they give people with dogs the worst rooms was ok, won't stay there again.
- Donna (4/5): - When I arrived at the property before 10 pm, there was no one to be found. I called out, sat and waited and almost 5 min later as I was calling the number for Hampton, the desk person came out of the bathroom. He said he forgot to put the sign out?
When I finally got checked in, i was geting onto the elevator and the floor was filthy. I guess someone spilled something and no hotel staff cleaned it up. It was still there when I checked out of the hotel about 8:30 am.
Room was marginal. Mold in the grout of the shower, the sheets, pillows and pillow cases were cheap and the comforter was gross looking.
Would NEVER suggest anyone stay here.
- M2499JOjessicas (4/5): Looks new but rundown! - The hotel looks new/updated in photos but its very run down inside. My room was not very clean- beard clippings on sink area, shower was not cleaned- hair in it and other nastyness. The shower pan was also super worn and old looking. The wallpaper was ragged/falling in corner of room. The fridge was not working- upon looking it was running with door opem because the fridge seal was broke- could be fire risk! Walls were dirty in room- stains on them. Stains in hallways on carpets. Dining room chairs were gross and extremely worn. Oh and a warning about too many people in elevator ?! Sink looked like it was about to fall off the wall! Front desk lady was friendly. This place could use some major cleaning and updating!
- Angela (10/5): Over all great - Everything was great except the pool was closed for some reason
- Colby (3/5): -
- Robert (1/5): -
- Tina (10/5): - Beds were very comfortable.
- Deborah R (2/5): - There was mold around the bottom of the shower pan and even worse the whole room smelled musty and like horrible body odor especially the bedding and pillows. I had to lay down towels on the bedding in order to be able to tolerate the smell snd get some sleep. Very disappointed in this hotel. I will not stay here again
- Kristi (8/5): - Clean and seemed newly updated. Parking and location was great. Breakfast was fine. Overall no complaints.
- Cesario (2/5): - the AC vents were plug up, and it was not working, no one on shift to fixed, sink was not draining was plug up as well, had to leave and find another hotel
- Beverly (4/5): - The upholstery furniture was dirty, the shower had mildew. When I took off my shoes, my socks were fithly within 30 minutes of walking around on the floor. I would not recommend anyone staying there. The food options were good and the kitchen staff was nice.
- Natalie (6/5): - Very outdated. Bathroom was not the cleanest. Lots of stains in the tub/shower and toilet. Mildew on shower curtain.
- Anna (8/5): - Property is in a shopping mall parking area. If I wasn't so tired from my trip I could have gone shopping!
- Ricky (6/5): - Advertised pool and hot tub but was closed for the rest of the summer once we got there.
- Levi (10/5): Will Definitely stay again - In the shopping district. Pet friendly with reasonable pet fee. The room I got had a detachable shower head so that was nice.
- Zachary (2/5): Run Down and Damp - Very run-down and filthy. Service was non-existent. The room smelled of mildew, the ac never got below 70°, the bed was one the most uncomfortable hotel beds I’ve ever been in, stained furniture, the toilet seat had exposed wood particles.
I alerted the front desk and they dryly told me there’s was nothing they could do. I almost always stay at Hampton Inn but this one was my worst one.
- Lorraine (10/5): -
- Kayela (4/5): Brandi is a LIER - The bathroom was so dirty. Both rooms I got were very dirty. Brandi said she cleaned them with the note left in our room but based on the condition of not 1 but 2 of the rooms I booked she is a lier. They were not clean at all. Breakfast was good, front desk was nice. The room was so bad in terms of cleanliness.
- Mallory (4/5): Ehhhh. - Checked in 7/31/25 and was given room 310. Got in the room and got set up. Noticed all the plastic and trash on the floor. Then we found old food in the refrigerator that smelled horrible. Hair all over the bathroom.
Luckily Joel was very accommodating and moved us to room 409. 409 had a very dog musty smell. Still hair all over the bathroom but all in all, slept well in the room. Breakfast was good.
- Elisabeth (10/5): - Good breakfast options, comfortable room, & helpful staff
- Shemekia (8/5): Short and sweet of a get away - It was amazing I really enjoyed the friendliness of staff n cleanliness of my room I prefer the 3rd floor facing the back side of parking area please and thanks
- Jeannette (4/5): - Room location hole in the couch - staff person was a little rude
- Vickie (7/5): Good place for decent price - The hotel was decent and close to shopping center The room smelled musky. Like moldy
- Crystal (6/5): - The pool and hot tub were our of order If I would have known that they were out of order I would have stayed somewhere else
- Joseph (10/5): - Everything was perfect
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Wish I would’ve know the pool would be out of service more than 2 days before booking and too late to book somewhere else. We were there for a softball tournament and there’s literally nothing to do in this town and we couldn’t even swim between games
- Jasmine (8/5): - Bedroom was clean and facility was good
- Steven (6/5): Stay @Hampton Inn Tyler-South - I stay in Tyler every month on business and tried this place. The room was very uncomfortable and frankly it smelled horrible. Terrible pillows on the bed but the room was very spacious with plenty of area to work. Decent gym as well.
- Teresa (6/5): - We did not receive cleaning service any of the days we were there and had to go get our own towels to exchange. Blood spot on bedspread! Pool filthy and hot tub on whole time. Chairs in breakfast area were damaged and in need of repair. Obvious damage in carpeting from bleach. The room attendants were non existent and seemed to walk by the mess in the hallways
- Mary (10/5): - THE BEST HOTEL I EVER STAYED IN, LIKE LITERALLY YOU DON’T HAVE TO COME DOWN TO THE FRONT DESK YOU JUST TEXT THE NUMBER IN YOUR PHONE AND THEY WILL BRING IT UP. BREAKFAST IS A +, THE STAFF AND WORKERS ARE PHENOMENAL, A lot OF SHOPPING CENTERS ALL NEXT DOOR TO THE HOTEL INCLUDING RESTAURANTS
- Shannon (10/5): - The staff were incredible. They were so kind. Every time I was leaving or coming back the lady at the front desk was checking on me. I was visiting from out of town to see family and had a lot going on and she made sure my stay there was perfect. I highly recommend this hotel if you’re in Tyler, TX.
- Stacy (10/5): - Good
- Amy (10/5): - Nice & quiet.
- Dorothy J (10/5): Great Stay! - I had a great stay. The hotel was comfortable and my room was great. The complimentary breakfast was great offering hot cereal (oatmeal and cream of wheat) in addition to the egg, meat, breakfast potatoes, and waffles. They replenished quickly when items ran low or out! I will stay here again.
- Elvia (10/5): - ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
We checked in on 7/3 and was warmly greeted by a very kind and energetic lady at the front desk, who I believe was the manager. She made us feel welcome right away and gave us our room keys with a big smile.
When we got to our room, we noticed the AC wasn’t working. I usually don’t like to complain, but I knew we wouldn’t be able to sleep comfortably without it. I went back to the front desk, and without hesitation, both the manager and a young man immediately said, “We’ll definitely take care of this for you,we want you to be happy.” I was genuinely impressed by how fast they responded and how eager they were to resolve the issue.
Housekeeping was also incredibly friendly throughout our stay. The level of customer service here is among the best I’ve experienced. I wish I had gotten both of their names to personally recognize them, but they truly went above and beyond.
- Anjia (10/5): - My stay was amazingly peaceful and safe. Thanks 😊
- Charity (6/5): - Pool area not clean and ALL the swim towels were soaked. My room needed vacuumed found trash and change on the floor. Had to call to get body wash refilled it was empty. We had 3 people and only 2 towels. Needed a bandaid for my grandson who cut his foot in the room and front desk seemed awkward and finally gave me a tiny bandaid. So we had to go buy some. I travel a lot for work and we always stay with this hotel chain in Arkansas. Never an issue and always clean. I was a bit disappointed. 😟
- Martin (8/5): Very good - Room was very good, comfortable & nicely located
by elevators. The breakfast was not very good
We and 5 other couples had to wait about 25 minutes for omelets apparently when it ran completely out the attendant did
not notice, also sausage was barely warm & dried out. Ugh
- Tonya (2/5): - I arrived to check in around 10pm or after. Check in went smoothly. Approaching the elevators they were dirty. When I arrived to the second floor the carpet was dirty and there was trash sitting outside the rooms on the floor. When I my room it was not pleasant the lamp shade was dirty, the shower was dirty and the towels had hair all on them. It was so late and I was so tired. I knew I would not be able to receive housekeeping and I was too tired to switch rooms to switch rooms with my 2 year old daughter. There was dust on the tv and the shelves where the towels were located was dirty as well. On Saturday I spoke with the Manager on dirty and she assured me that I was on the list for housekeeping. I made sure I did not have my do not disturb sign outside my door. When I arrived back at the facility from visiting with family. My room was dirty, my sheets were not changed on the bed and I had no clean towels to shower me or my baby with. I was furious. I spoke with someone at the front desk after calling several times and was able to get fresh towels. I asked the receptionist how did my room get missed when he the front desk person assured me that it would be cleaned. He said ma’am I’m not sure, the manager worked this morning so you would have spoken to her but I will be sure to let her know in the morning when she gets here. So out of the 3 nights stay, my room was not cleaned at all. Now I see why the dust, lampshade and shower looked the way it did. My stay was terrible!
- chris (10/5): - Nice Bathroom
- Robert (10/5): Everything was how it basically should be - It was a nice stay. Room area other areas were clean. Breakfast better then most places I have been. Actual variety that was diffrent daily. Bed was ok. Previous hotel places I have been bed was more comfortable.
- Michael (6/5): Bad Experience! - Not a single staff member was friendly or welcoming. The bathroom couldn’t have been cleaned with the number of hairs I found on the floor and shower walls. Yuck!
- lloyd (10/5): - It went well and no problems or surprises
- Rachael (6/5): - Not enough bath towels and the conditioner was empty in the bathroom plus we had issues with the wifi and we asked the front desk and they said they were working on it. Other than that it was decent but i expected better so maybe thats my fault.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Mold-mycotoxins. Asthma attack. - Mold alert for anyone who has asthma. There’s some hidden water damage mold somewhere around room 314. Nothing gives me asthma attacks except for specific types mold related to long term water damage or leaks. Dozens or more hotels and Airbnbs and it has only happened to me on 4 occasions so it’s not a guess, it’s not paranoia.
I’ll be making a report to the hotel, an employee did tell me they’ve had to replace the bathtub caulking quite often.
I only wrote this review in case a vulnerable person sees it and can make a good decision. If you have an asthmatic in your group please don’t stay here. Luckily I was only in the room to sleep and as soon as I walked outside my asthma cleared up but when I was in the room even my inhaler wouldn’t stop it. It’s like a choking sensation when there’s direct exposure.
If any employee sees this and thinks they’ve been sickly since taking this job you need to leave unless they remediate and get a clear test of the air.
The hotel is so great otherwise, honestly. I loved it until I woke up with asthma after 7 hours of sleep. I really hope they get it tested and fixed by mold experts.
- Sherrie (10/5): - Very clean hotel. Staff was very kind and helpful.
- Melissa (10/5): - Excellent Customer Service!! Rooms very clean. Will definitely be going back.
