Gracias.

Although it's located near Koh San Roe, where there's a lot of noise, this hotel offers peace and quiet. The surrounding area isn't very clean, but I think they could improve that by calling the city to clean it up. Everything else is fine. They always gave us water every day and have a scale so you can weigh your luggage in advance.
Thank you.
We're traveling from Guatemala.
- David (10/5): - Staff are fantastic, accommodation is clean and tidy, pool area is great
- Maria (10/5): - Good customer service.
- Cinzia (6/5): - It is in a great location.
We had an issue accessing WIFI and throughout our stay this was not solved, although the reception staff tried to.
After we were given the room key, we were told that due to construction work, it would have been noisy. We were not offered alternatives and not told until after we got the keys. The noise started very early in the morning which considering that we have had no sleep from travelling, it had a negative impact on our stay.
The balcony's view was awful and in fact definitely not the one shown when we booked our room.
We had to go to reception to pick up toilet paper. Breakfast, room amenities were average. At the end, we gave it a miss. The reception staff were lovely, but the staff in the coffee room seemed overworked and not particularly friendly.
- Borislav (10/5): - Clean, good breakfast and close to main sites
- Shanaka (10/5): - Thank you very much
- gordon (10/5): - Great place to stay.
- gordon (10/5): - Loved staying here.
- Avi (6/5): City of Bangkok - Very good breakfast
Very low price
What you pay is what you get
Very good location
- Samantha (8/5): - Rooms are a little tired and bed was hard (however seems normal for SE Asia). Room was clean. But the pool area and common areas were lovely, staff were very helpful. Hotel was clean and quiet. Good value for money overall so would stay again
- Justin (8/5): - Excellent hotels, super nice staff, great breakfast and breakfast area. Excellent location for sightseeing.
My only gripe was the pool being a little murky,
- Chris (8/5): - Clean room and comfortable bed. Friendly staff. Nice pool. I would stay here again.
- Timothy (8/5): - Good place to save money. Nice Pool and good Smoothies.
- Per (8/5): - Perfect for a couple of days in Bangkok
- rod (6/5): - Very loud on ground floor and breakfast buffet very average
- roohim (10/5): Clean hotel - We were not able to book our choice of hotel due to high season. It was difficult to find a hotel in the area of our choice as all were fully booked. We found this hotel and were little worried as the price was just too reasonable! Turned out be a very clean room. The staff exceptionally polite . For anyone looking for a low hotel
this is good value.
- Kaitlyn (6/5): - I enjoyed my stay for the price of the hotel. The pool was perfect, and it was in a great location. However, the bathrooms in the rooms need serious updating. The shower head sprays horizontally, impossible to change direction unless you hold it the whole time, and leaves the bathroom soaked. The shower curtain is old and sticks to you when you shower. My first room smelt like cigarette smoke, and I switched rooms the next day due to the smell. The second room was better. It was an okay hotel for the area.
- James (10/5): - Great place for anyone on a fairly low budget. The staff were very pleasant and helpful, the dining area also very nice. The breakfast was simple but decent. Corn flakes, eggs and omelettes, fruit etc. The room was average, nothing luxurious at all but perfectly nice with a pretty comfy bed, decent air conditioning and no noisiness at night. It's actually a very quiet set back location in spite of being only 5 mins walk from Khaosan road. Connects to Rambuttri aly, which feels nice and chilled and authentic. I walked from the hotel to the royal palace and that only took about twenty minutes. Overall, really happy with it. Thanks.
- Lee (10/5): - Near all the street vendors and 20 million bite walk to some major attractios
- Andrew (10/5): - Great staff. Perfect location
- Denis (6/5): - Needs new matresses, better wi-fi. Foods ok, staff is good, friendly.
- erik (10/5): - Very nice staff and in a great location
- Trieu (8/5): - My first room smell very bad.
- Michael (10/5): - Great staff and a cozy room for a great price. 10/10 would recommend
- Jarunee (6/5): - Old room and staff are not nice or friendly.
- pascal (8/5): peut mieux faire. - lits jumeaux un peu étroit, clim bruyante, propreté peut mieux faire.
- Premah (6/5): - Overall was a good stay
- Diana (10/5): - Loved that it was in the center of everything we wanted to do! Easy to walk and quiet. Super safe and clean.
- Tracy (6/5): - It is central enough to be convenient but not in the craziness of Khaosan Road.
- MIKE (8/5): - Good location
- Christopher (8/5): Get your breakfast elsewhere - The New Siam offers, or just tags on, a breakfast when checking in. I thought this would be convenient and might be really good like Thai food is. I found the food to be mostly similar to a free hotel breakfast in the States and not nearly enough staff to manage the food prep, hosting, clean-up, etc. The bit of Thai food on offer was lame. Knowing there are a million places nearby, just plan accordinlgy.
- Albert W (8/5): - Like the area. Great breakfast. Helpful staff. Did not like the irregular WiFi.
- Alexandre (8/5): - I picked the hotel because it was the closest to the Travel Mart company to take a bus to Cambodia. The hotel staff is great, the internet was good, very nice pool, very good breakfast. The room was basic, but still had a little fridge and water everyday. The area around, I don't care too much - very touristic.
- Marcin (6/5): Old, small and damp. - Small and damp room, would not stay there more than one night. Staff top class, very friendly.
- Louise (10/5): - Property was good, staff were excellent.
- Juliana (8/5): - This hotel is in a really great location. Walking distance to khoa San road for restaurants or bars, and also walking distance to the royal palace, wat arun, and wat pho (30-40 min walk). The room was on the smaller side, very small bathroom, and the room was hard to keep cool. Amenities are very basic, but the hotel is relatively affordable and in good location. Just depends what you want to prioritize on your stay!
- Robert (8/5): - -
- Richard (6/5): Gone downhill - Bit of a let down after a previous visit (pre Covid). Location is excellent but cleanliness has slipped and the staff were unable to fulfill a couple of basic requests - like a fan for the room (not into a/c if I can avoid it). Will be looking for an alternative next time.
- khanittha (10/5): - Nice location within walking distance to restaurants and shops. You can take tuk tuk to grand palace if you don't want to walk in this heat for 100 baht. You can take taxi to the closest BTS train station less than 100 baht to go into the big center of Bangkok. Ask the front desk. The ladies are very helpful and friendly.
- wiebke (6/5): - Stayed here pre Covid, and it’s a sweet little place to stay! Stayed here recently, under the test and go requirements, and it was obviously nothing like it’s former self. Though they were now open to guests staying longer than just the rest & go day, very little was done in the way of making guests feel welcome. Which is understandable given the circumstances, and I imagine it will be back to it’s sweet former self once tourism picks up again!
- Donald (10/5): - Very helpful with Covid protocols. Nice location also.
- Susan (10/5): Nice - Great location. Breakfast had nice choices. Could walk to many attractions. Staff friendly
- Verified traveler (8/5): - When room was cleaned bathroom was ignored, other than that it's the same as always. Quiet as long as the room beside doesn't watch tv or play music too loud
- Verified traveler (6/5): Perfect location from Khao San Road - Short walk to Khao San Road without having to deal with the noise all night long. We also walked over the Grand Palace from here which was nice. There was a mixup with our reservation when we arrived so they had to put us in their sister resort on the river for the first night (not sure if this was the hotel's fault or the fault of hotels.com). This was highly inconvenient since we had to wake up the next day and check out instead of being able to just stay unpacked. Once we got back to the New Siam Palace Ville they let us check in right away (early) and let us check out late the next day as an attempt to make up for it so that was nice. Breakfast buffet at the restaurant was good and staff was very nice.
- Poopy (8/5): - A little run down and across from an abandoned building, a dark alley way separates this place from Khao San Road.
The staff are attentive and friendly. Location was just OK. Koi are a nice touch but the outside deck had holes in it and a dirty towel separated the deck from the hotel.
- Richard (10/5): Decent hotel in a great location - Great location. No issues. Standard hotel for a decent price. Breakfast was good.
- Ligia (8/5): - The staff was friendly and the location of the hotel is great! The hotel energy was off for couple hours and was a bit hard to sleep in the hot weather without AC. The rest was good.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Good breakfast, friendly attentive staff, good location for walking to sights of interest. Bathrooms in lobby didn’t have toilet paper. Bedroom didn’t have enough either
- William (10/5): Quiet! Convenient! We’ll come back here again! - Very quiet street with parking, perfect location for staying in the Khao Sarn Road area.
Everything was good. Breakfast excellent.
Short hop from the river and restaurants on the river.
- Verified traveler (10/5): 5/5 stars! - Wonderful staff, great location, clean and comfortable...why more do you want! This is a perfect place for an incredible price. It checks all the boxes and the personal attention and assistance is second to none. Would recommend without hesitation
- Verified traveler (10/5): Hidden Gem - 2nd stay here. Would stay here again. Just be careful when you close door as it tends to slam. Close to Khao San, the river, and the temples, but tucked away from the crowds and noise. Yummy banana muffins!
- Verified traveler (6/5): - New Siam Palace is in a prime spot for sight seeing although it's very hard to find initially it's worth the effort as you can easily walk to attractions. The area around is awesome plenty of food and fun. The hotel it's self is just ok
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Nothing never coming back there bad bad bad bad bad
- TravelFun (8/5): - This hotel has an amazing location! Front desk staff is helpful and friendly. The only downside is that there was mold on the shower curtain. In humid locations, this is not uncommon however, it can easily be cleaned. As a person with asthma, this mold was troubling. I hope that checking and cleaning shower curtains will become a routine part of cleaning because I travel frequently to Bangkok and would like to return to this hotel.
- John (6/5): - This Hotel is in a good location away from the hustle and bustle of the Koh San Road nightlife area yet close enough to walk there with ease
It is rather expensive for what it is and WiFi is terrible a constant source of annoyance finding you dont have a connection and being asked to login again and again !
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice place, but watch out for scammers in the area - Very ordinary room with no frills. The staff was very helpful, allowing us to check in early without any additional cost. Our air conditioner wasn’t working, so they let us change rooms without any difficulty. It’s a good location if you want to see the palace and temples in the area, but it’s a very touristy area that doesn’t have good access to public transit.
Because it’s a touristy area, the neighborhood was full of scammers. Twice in the first day we were there, within a few blocks of the hotel, we had people trying to con us into getting into tuk tuks. Beware, the scam is that people post maps of the area on trees and sign posts, and when you stop to look at them, they come over as if they’re passing by and offer to help. They make up an itinerary of activities for you, and then hail a tuk tuk (that was waiting) and negotiate a price that’s too good to be true to have the tuk tuk drive you around all day. They’re aggressive about getting you into the tuk tuk, saying that you can visit certain places on their itinerary for free if you get there in the next hour or two. It seems like they’re sincerely trying to help, and one of them even worked as a guard for one of the museums. The scam is that once you’re in the tuk tuk, the driver will take you to a place that wasn’t on the itinerary, usually a suit/clothing store, and tell you to go inside. They waste your time taking you around to different places that are all in on the scam which is why the driver is so cheap.
- Derek (10/5): - Stayed many times with the family the service and staff are superb 👍
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Good location for easy access to main sights. Clean & comfortable
- ROMEO (10/5): - Good services breakfast were great
Close to everthing pretty much
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Overall this was a pleasant stay & the room was as described. A couple of the staff ( one lovely lady on the bar & one of the receptionists were very friendly & helpful.
I have to say the reception otherwise was poor.
The check in staff did not make eye contact & even though I understand they were busy, manner cost nothing & explaining they would be with us shortly would have helped.
Hotel is in a good location for ferries to main sites.
Generally a good stay.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Friendly staff and clean rooms. Love the pool area!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Good location for city visit.
The price was very reasonable which included a good breakfast.
- Christopher (10/5): - Friendly, helpful staff, lovely location - fantastic stay.
- Todd (6/5): Acceptable, but not more - Just about everything here was acceptable, but no more than that. Room not cleanest, but not terrible. AC was quite loud and works, but not great - they seem to have it limited so you can't turn temp down very low. Breakfast is mediocre.
- sheila (10/5): A good central hotel. - Good position. Nice pool. Good breakfast
- Lenka (8/5): Great location, would recommend - Hotel is in a perfect location, 5 min walk to Khao San road but far brought to be quiet at night. Also walking distance to the Grand palace, Wat Pho and Wat Arun. The rooms we had were clean although in need of some repairs, very comfortable beds. Service was very good as well, they were able to accommodate packed breakfast one morning we had an early excursion.
Overall great stay and great value for what we paid. Highly recommend if you are looking for a basic, good place to stay in the Old city.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Great location, good cooked breakfast. Would recommend
- Verified traveler (4/5): - The shower was great the bathroom is tiny, I mean really really tiny and the room is nearly as small.
For a one night stayover maybe but at the price, poor value.
- Alex (10/5): - location, service ,well runpool area clean and very open and enough tables and loungers.breakfast was sufficient but could use some more variety.
- Sarah (8/5): - The location is amazing. The hotel was nice & clean. Quite busy.
- Paul (8/5): Very nice - The room was nice and we enjoyed the pool.
- Jess (8/5): - Good location for exploring, close to tourist attractions. Bars and restaurants within walking distance but far enough from the noise to get a good nights sleep. Friendly staff and good breakfast included.
- Joel (8/5): I’d stay again. - Good breakfast selection. Comfy beds.
- .marknoske (10/5): - checked in for 3 nights. arrived around 10pm with wife and my 4 year old son. we had spent 20 hours getting here our dfeparture was from fijis islands routing thru hong kong. So we were pretty well exhausted.
checkin was smooth and we were delighted the hotel was basically brand new. Check in staff were excellent. our room had a king and single bed. room in perfect condition. everything worked. we had a balcony but facing a wall to another building. the advantage of this was the room was quiet. aircon worked well maybe to well. cable tv good however tv volume sucked for the first night. we made a point to it to house keeping and next night a knock on the door to install a new toshiba tv with volume working. i mean thats responsive. restaurant was ok. breakfast spread is very good and really is available from 7am. wifi worked very well. location is about 5 minute walk from kao san road which is good. My wife is thai and she liked the service and room. i am not a stranger to thailand having lived here for 13 years. All in all excellent hotel. Oh by the way the pool is good. not too far from mbk for shopping. easy area to get tuk tuk or taxis. i am a smoker and this is definitely a non smoking hotel so if u want to smoke go out into the lane and smoke. hope they can keep up the service and take care of the hotel. they have been quite busy. Whoever owns this hotel knows how to run a hotel. by the way the lobby has some drinks and basic commodities for sale like tooth past
- Gabriel (8/5): - Stayed for 3 nights, room was comfortable and clean.
The hotel was quite busy, seemed like the lobby was often full and people working the front desk were constantly busy, but helpful. Included breakfast was satisfactory with coffee, tea, fruits, breads, and fresh eggs. The pool was refreshing after hot days, and cold drinks, soda, water, beer sold in the lobby. I always think hotels should have a water filter for guests to refill bottles with, did not have one here. The location is on a quiet side street with very little traffic, and is walking distance from night life, restaurants, very touristy areas of Bangkok, as well as from piers for catching river boats. My advice is that if you want to avoid tourists crowds, look in Chinatown. If you want bars, night life, tourists, near Khao San will be just right.
- Andrew (8/5): Location Location Location - Clean, attractive and superb location, beds need a pillow top
- Heather (6/5): - The property was not well labelled and taxi drivers had difficulty finding it. Happened 3 times to us
- Maria (10/5): - Great hotel located in a very walkable and nice neighborhood!
- Tammy (10/5): - The pool & staff are the best parts! Rooms are basic & small (hard beds like everywhere in Thailand), but they are clean, quiet & safe:)
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Overall stay 4nights is very good i will recommend this hotel near Khao San Rd until our last night after we had a tour we are surprise that the room is not clean & didnot even topup the towel & water...thanks
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Nice hotel, nice location. We stayed only for 2 days and we did not have the time to use all the amenities of the hotel, however the staff was very polite, rooms cleaned...
- Rani (4/5): An OK hotel - The hotel is Ok but the staff do not speak English very well. We had a hard time learning the area.
- Darrel (6/5): Quiet and close to Koh San road - Its very close to restaurants and Koh San road. Easy walk to the Grand Palace. Good breakfast and a decent pool although it is quite small.
- Neil (6/5): Hotel was ok - Hotel was ok but the staff made no attempt to speak English or try to understand what you was saying,
Instead of cleaning your room every day you had to let the reception staff know before 11am every day.
When we checked in the staff member was rude as she had started to check us in but then decided she would rather have an ice cream instead.
So someone else took over and I must say tried her hardest to 1 speak English .
I wish I had got her name because she was the best one there.
Throughout the trip we would wait until she was working if we had any questions.
- Marjolaine (10/5): Great hotel. - Very nice place. Well insulated from the noise. Comfy bed and pillows. Separate shower with a lot of pressure. Good service. Great breakfast. Easy to walk to Khao San road and away from the crowd.
- Taning (8/5): - Convenience and safe, easy going anywhere.
- Lgots (4/5): Not very good. - I did not have a good experience here for a couple reasons.
1) We checked in as 3 people and then my 2 friends left that night for a flight they had to catch at 1am. After they left the room I fell back asleep without locking the door. A man from the hotel staff came and unlocked my door and was about to come in until I woke up and yelled at him. This was probably around 2am. It was very scary, I had trouble sleeping after that and put my suitcase in front of the door.
2) The A/C did not seem to work at night. During the day it would cool the air but at night it would blow air, but it was not cooling. The room stayed at 28 C the whole night. It was so humid and hard to sleep.
- Nikki (8/5): Good Hotel in heart of Bangkok - I stayed here for 4 nights on my way back home and was travelling alone. Hotel was very clean and all of the staff I spoke to were very helpful. Breakfast was excellent and there was a good choice of hot dishes available as well as plenty of fruit ad yoghurt. Great side streets if you turn left as you leave the hotel with some good choices for food and shopping including a 7/11 And plenty of ATM's. Sadly the only thing that spoilt this for me were other guests. Obviously noisy getting ready to go out of an evening then waking everyone up staggering in drunk at 2am so naturally very loud. Although they did shut up when met with a firey red head in the corridor who gave them a Paddington stare after flinging her door open. This is close enough to be within walking distance of Kho San rd and affordable enough for lads on a weekend trip. The building echos and the corridors are open which means everyone can hear people coming and going. The door locks are excellent but there is no way of closing doors quietly. It was a good price but maybe watch the price and the clientele you attract or it will just become another drunks stop over.
- Yuri (10/5): Very nice hotel - Looks exactly like on hotel pictures. Pool is a heaven after sweaty sightseens. Very quiet area. A 100 meters away from the street with shops, street food and different quality of restaurants. Half an hour walk to Royal Palace. Very good food at the hotel's restaurant. Good continental breakfast with many choices.
- Angeline (8/5): Wonderful place close to Khao San Road - Super place to stay if you want peace and quiet yet close to Khao San Road. Nice pool area with bar. Rooms are clean. The breakfast buffet is great. Outside when you turn left is a series of restaurants and bars that caters to every budget. Loved the area. Close to pier 13 which gets you to many sights when you take the ferry. Only 15 baht. Definitely can recommend.
- Daniel (10/5): Great location and Great stay - This hotel I understand is somewhat new and you can see it since facilities are in good shape. The location is perfect since you are in the middle of pretty nice streets to walk around like Khao San and Ram Buttri (which is much nicer than Khao San Rd)…you are also a 10 minute walk away from the Grand Temple and Wat Pho (Reclining Buddha).
Location is very quiet as opposed to the hotels in Khao San Rd.
Breakfast is included and it’s very plentiful, eggs, fruit, cereal, fried rice, bacon, sausage, yogurt…typical buffet breakfast so you can have a good meal and head out ready for the day.
Pool was very clean and actually a bit too much chlorine in it, but after a long day it served the purpose very well.
I have to agree with other reviews that staff is not really very helpful…not sure if it’s a language barrier issue or what but they don’t normally go the extra mile…although I would still stay at this hotel again for sure when I return to Bangkok on my next trip...seeing all of the hotels I stayed at during my trip in Thailand this was one of the best ones and with excellent price.
- Angeline (10/5): Very nice quiet hotel close to Khao San Road - Super place to stay. Comes with buffet breakfast which was good. Nice pool with bar. Staff very friendly. Great location. Very close to Khao San Road yet far enough for peace and quite at night. Close to pier #13 if you want to use the river for transportation, or walking distance to the Royal Palace, leaning Buddha and many other temples.
Very clean hotel. Rooms are a bit small but in new condition.
Definitely would recommend.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Great location & pool - Great location & breakfast buffet, restaurant food ok, super friendly staff:)
- Livio (10/5): Great for our 4 day stay - Good breakfast, well located, and clean. Air con. Is set, so cannot really cool the room any further. Overall a good experience, with helpful and friendly staff. Would definitely recommend this hotel.
- Sharon (6/5): Poor value for money - Very expensive for a very mediocre experience, and not very friendly service. Also air conditioner blows directly on the bed making it very difficult to sleep. so either too hot or too cold.
- Mélanie (2/5): I had to go see the Tourist Police at the airport - I called the hotel to request to be picked up from the airport. She informs me that she doesn’t have anyone right now and to take a taxi. I told her if I take a taxi, they have to pay for it because this hotel comes with a free 24 hour airport shuttle service. She said if I take a taxi, I have to pay for it. She called her supervisor and repeated the same message to me. I went to see the Tourist Police at the airport because I felt this was a scam and she repeated the same thing to him. She also now additionally claimed that the mistake is from Expedia as they do not offer shuttle from the airport to the hotel. She told the officer that I had to find a way to get to the hotel on my own and to contact Expedia.
The police officer was worried about their attitude and response because their response sound like I was not welcome at this hotel and he told me that he was worried about my safety in this hotel. He recommended that I do not stay at this hotel since it 1:30am. He recommended that I stay at the airport to wait for my connecting flight to Vietnam.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Good Hotel, would come back, breakfast really fills you up, pool is good
- Krista (8/5): Nice clean hotel with pool - Nice stay the only problem is the A/C isn’t cold enough. Thank goodness for the pool. Amazing watermelon slushies at the downstairs restaurant.
- Tonci (8/5): Nice hotel with excellent position - Position of hotel is excellent, close enough to KhaoSan Road but far enough to have quiet nights. Breakfast is acceptable to survive and number of choices may be bigger. Staf is helpful but very slow. Wifi in room is terrible, actually not usable at all. Deposit for room is accepted only in cash and in local currency, so in case you arrive directly from airport search for nearest ATM is required. Hotel is good value for money for short city break trip.
- Kevin (8/5): A solid clean hotel - I came solo and booked this hotel because I was worried about my camera equipment in a hostel. Everything was as I expected it to be for the price I paid. No complaints.
