• Lawrence (8/5): - It appeared that our room was just remodeled. New everything. Bed was comfortable with nice linens. The room was very clean. Halls were just painted also, & it looked like the hall carpets were getting a cleaning. The only negative was that the TV was a bit wonky. We found the guide, but don't know how. To lower the volume, we discovered that the button on the TV needed to be used, & channels were quite a problem to maneuver. However, clean is most important to us, & the housekeeping staff does a great job!
• Chris (8/5): - Property is centrally located with a working pool and hot tub. Breakfast was good. Room was comfortable and clean with daily maid service.
• Julia (4/5): not great - The ice machine was broken; the toilet was stopped up; the remote on the television didn't work; the room would not get to a comfortable temperature (too warm) and they charge a $30 pet fee that wasn't advertised. The Wi-Fi was fine.

• Verified traveler (8/5): DO NOT SMOKE!! - Overall stay was good. First night the fire alarms went off at 12:10 a.m. due to someone smoking in one of the rooms while someone else was taking a shower.
• Brigitte (2/5): - Two rooms had broken door lock, the third room had a broken refrigerator, and the 4th room i was assigned had Cockroaches climbing the walls. I cancelled the rest of my stay and moved to a different hotel. This hotel is in very poor shape.

Towel left in the room had hair stuck in the fibers, shower was missing its handle bar, the halls reeked of the smell of food cooking as though someone lived there.

• Jeff (4/5): - This was where we went for our honeymoon we went back for our 17th anniversary. There was a dirty wash cloth in the shower. The staff only came into the room and took the wash cloth. After showering the towel we used to dry the floor turned black. There was a brown stain on the top cover of the bed. One of the pill cases had what looked like blood on it. I removed the pillow case and the pillow had what looked like a bodily fluid stain on it. The sheets had what looked like oil stains on them. The hot tub in the room was the best part and even it doesn’t hold water for very long.
• Tommy (4/5): - TV’s did not work correctly and when I tried to initially turn it on the cable was missing from the back of the television, and I had to ask the front desk to bring me a cable for the TV. When she came to the door, she told me how to hook it up and I had to put it on instead of somebody coming up and doing it for us. I obviously knew how to do it without being told, but I shouldn’t have needed to the showerhead was tied up with deflated balloons, and a ice bag to hold the hose in place the top of the toilet didn’t match the toilet that was in the bathroom. No wash cloths until I asked for some and only two towels for three people in one room I had to ask for more towels. Room was not very clean, and also the flush on the toilet was broke. Stated for two nights and our trash was never emptied or room cleaned. Overall, the hotel has fallen majorly and this is a place I’ve been staying in for over 30 years. It’s disappointing how far this place has fallen. I won’t stay there again.
• Deanna (8/5): - I was given the wrong room at first and when I went back up to the office the lady was real nice and made sure it was corrected.. My only complaint is that the shower in my room was nasty and wasn't cleaned before it was given to me.

• Jessica (4/5): Not clean they do not change bedding - The light in the bathroom ceiling was falling through. There was hair in the shower when we arrived and hair in the bedding. We found a wallet in the room showing it obviously hadn’t been cleaned well then there was chocolate (hopefully) melted into the nightstand drawer and boogers on the wall. My husband was taking stuff to the car and had walked back through the door to the room in time to hear housekeeping hold up the bedding and ask if it was dirty enough to need changed. The pool was green but hot tubs were clear and there was a box for a pool and spa heater that they obviously just installed because the bonus was the hot tub was hot and the pool was heated.

• Pamela (8/5): - I liked the ambience of having the indoor poolside breakfast. The pool could have been cleaner but it was beautiful. Close to park and zoo. The rooms were clean and had a lot of charging outlets. The staff was accommodating when approached. Overall, a good experience.

• Lisa (10/5): - This was my second stay in this hotel and i reserved the same room with the jacuzzi tub. We enjoyed this room so much we decided to stay there again. The star of the place however is the pool which has a beautiful waterfall cascading down some rocks into the pool. Also there is two more jacuzzi tubs in the pool area. Oh...and the price is very reasonable. We will stay again!!

• Howard (2/5): - First, we couldn't get our keys to work....2 sets not working. Second, we had to move rooms because the ac and TV didn't work. The safety bar in the shower was missing and the room was dirty. The night staff (after 10) was AMAZING in making the sure the new room was up to par. Then when we booked a second night, we were supposed to change rooms but that room was dirty too, so we stayed where we were. The young girl at the front desk was extremely rude, charged us (unauthorized mind you) for another person who DID NOT STAY but she assumed she did, so charged our card without our knowledge. She did this even though she was told by other staff that our guest left. Throughout our stay we had to leave our door open most of the time because every key (5 total) this young girl gave us stopped working within a couple hours. When we were told we could have late check out (with no charge) this young girl, again charged our card without our knowledge. The hot tubs didn't work, again; been that way 2 months. When we asked about turning them on we were told, by this young girl, that the maintenance man was the one to do it and he wasnt there. All she did was shrug her shoulder and say no when we asked about whether she could call him. Breakfast was limited because they didn't have the supplies needed, but again, night staff did their best to accommodate. We are waiting to discuss these issues with the owner. We've been staying here 5 yrs...never had any trouble until the last 2 months
• Jennings (2/5): - Arrived later than planned. Door to first room didnt lock. I paid through Expedia and front desk oerson charged me again and it was $14 cheaper at hotel.
• Marvin (2/5): - I was in 3 rooms, 1st did not have a working deadbolt, number had a faucet that wouldn’t turn off and the toilet seal meshed all over the tile floor. Room 3 smelled like someone smoked in it and then covered ii up. I checked out after 1st night but my family stayed there on Monday and someone set off the smoke detectors and the fire department showed up. We all booked rooms at the Comfort Inn- super staff, clean safe rooms and even had homemade cupcakes. Not a great area I would not recommend
• Heather (2/5): This place is a dump! - This place is a dump! The toilet had a poor caulk job around the base and kept leaking water so we had to have towels on the floor all night. The sink faucet dripped constantly. The pool was okay but the hot tub was lukewarm and the jets hardly worked. I travel a lot, and this is in my top 3 worst hotels that I have stayed at.
• Joseph (6/5): Mixed review - We were initially given an occupied room by mistake. The pool and hot tub were in poor condition, the shower had poor water pressure, there was no tv guide. Even though we had a few setbacks, the staff was friendly, the lobby was nice, and the beds were very comfortable.

• Michelle (8/5): Would stay again - The rooms were comfortable and quiet. The service was excellent!! We discovered our microwave was not working and within 10 minutes of us finding this out, they had sent someone in to test it, then replace it! Even though the service was great, there were a few.issues, but nothing that would stop us from staying again. There was no sugar available at their coffee bar, the pool was cloudy, and the hot tub temp was.lower than it should have been. Even though there was quite a bit of maintenance that appeared to be needed, you could tell they were working on it. One piece of advice is to make sure to bring your own toiletries.... because there weren't any in the room.

• ROBIN (2/5): - When we first got in the room the toilet was clogged up i called and them and she told me someone will be up. Hour gose by no one shows up i call again and say i will come and get it do it myself she says No someone will be up there next morning come around and i have to go to Walmart and by a plunger and do it myself. They ask did we have any pets i said No she gave me a room by a person with a dog who cried and Barked all night and kept us up all night and we had to go to work next morning. Not a good stay at all.

• Verified traveler (2/5): Worst experience by far ripping off healthcare - Lice comb in bathtub bath tub filthy, blood on sheet AC not able to go above 75 TV didn't work when I went to talk to front desk was told that I would have to wait til morning then in am was told they wouldn't refund my money because I waited. My company paid for a room but they said I didn't have reservation so I paid myself then come to find out this was paid by both me and the company so they got double paid for the worst experience by far. • Aspen (10/5): - I stayed for most of a week while working. It was safe, easy access, Scooters around the corner, fast food a block or two in two directions but it was in the town itself so the atmosphere was not commercial. The pool at hot tubs were nice. Lots of room in the room, fridge, microwave, desk, recliner, TV. What else could a person want? Friendly staff. I brought my own food and drink so I can’t say one way or the other on breakfast. But, it’s a great place to base out of if working in the area.
• Recinda R. (10/5): - Friendly smiling staff when we arrived for our check-in. Room sas extremely spacious and exactly as pictured. We chose to stay in the executive suite with jetted tub!!! Definitely worth staying in. Plus was that it was walking distance for many options for food and entertainment!!! And they are pet friendly!! You furry best friend can stay for a fee!!!
• Taya (4/5): - The plug-in smells in the hallways was god-awful. It was covering up a stench odor the room we had the toilet ran all night the smell of dogs the dogs barking our shower, barely had running water, and customer service was very rude.

• Doyle (4/5): Wish I would have stayed elsewhere - The TV in the bedroom didn't work, I killed 2 cockroaches, the deadbolt couldn't be used and the door latch was held in by 2 screws that were barely anchored into the wood. The sheets were stained and I was honestly scared to use the shower as soft as the tub was to stand in. When I asked for help using the heater in our room the front desk guy was really short and didn't show me how to use it just turned it on, pushed some buttons and said there it's on now. The front lobby smelled like marijuana and the only half way decent thing about the place was the hot tub...it is definitely not the place I remember from 20 years ago and I will not be staying there ever again.

• Virginia G (8/5): - One of the hot tubs was not working, it was heated but wouldn't bubble. Some of the outside doors could be accessed without using the key card. The biggest disappointment was the breakfast bar, choices were limited and there was no sausage or bacon.

• Diane (2/5): - I loved the caring concern of when we were arriving. Crystal called to check and make sure we were ok. The property needs a lot of refurbishing!! Beginning with removing the roaches!! The quality of cleaning is lacking also. We were given a room with dead baby roaches and a cricket on the bathroom floor. As I went in to use the toilet, a full grown adult roach came running out of the molding!! We changed rooms to a different hallway, and this room was used and not cleaned! poop in toilet, pop spill in sink, sticky stuff on night stand! I was ready to leave the hotel when I was given one more room which I was told was an "upgrade" room. She was right, It was clean and appeared to be bug free! I will not ever stay in this hotel again, nor will I recommend it to any one!!

• Kim (8/5): Good value! - We enjoyed our stay at the Apple Tree. Staff was friendly and accomodating. Room was fine. Had a couple broken items in need of repair but nothing a good handyman couldn't fix. Pool area was very nice and good breakfast offerings. Good value for money spent. We would stay again.
• Jennifer (4/5): No hot water - Everything was fine at check-in. The executive room was adequate and comfortable for the night. However, when we got up the next morning, there was no hot water for showers. We did not have time to switch rooms and still make it to church on time or we would have done so. At checkout the front desk clerk said that there was another area next to the room we stayed in that had not had hot water for a day or two and that she had told the maintenance personnel about it. Apparently it was not high priority to ensure hot water was available to all areas of the property as it should be.
• Gail (8/5): Frequent Midwest Traveler - Nice central location. Older hotel decor. Lack of amenities such as Kleenex/tissue, and enough towels. There was a coffee maker but the packets of sugar/creamer had not been fully replenished. There was a used coffee packet in the coffee maker. Free parking but a higher fee for our dog to stay with us. Breakfast offerings okay.
• Cecilia (4/5): - Unfortunately the apple tree just isn’t what it used to be. I had higher hopes when booking and instantly regretted my decision after getting into our room. It looked as if it hadn’t been cleaned other than making the bed. Body hair, crumbs, crickets, were in the room. The front desk lady kindly moved us to the next room which was in better shape. But I noticed there wasn’t a coffee maker, no water cups, the ice bucket didn’t have a liner, the ice machine wasn’t even working. These are all normal things to be expected at a hotel. Didn’t really need them but it was a noticeable miss on top of the room condition. If I were to stay in Indy again, it’d be at one of the newer places on the west side of town.

• Maryann (2/5): - Wife and Daughter stayed there many, many times over the years while I was away on business. My Wife is White, and my Daughter is mixed race but White appearing, over the years the lady who manages the place developed a rather friendly relationship with those two and never had an issue with them adjusting or extending their reservations. Last week we made a reservation for one night and realized later on that same day that we weren't going to be able to get to the motel on time. My wife called and asked could the reservation be moved to the following day, manager had no problem with this request and said that she would do so. The next day when we showed up the gentleman behind the counter knew about the change and was preparing our room key when the hotel manger came out front and laid eyes on me for the first time....The look on her face was (unfortunately) quite familiar to me...Suddenly she blurted out that the adjustment could not be made and that we had to pay again for a room we already paid for...My wife was nearly in tears...We did pay again for a room...But not there...My wife and Daughter spent almost every weekend there for nearly a year when I was contracting because they liked the pool...Manager threw away their business because of me...How do people with this attitude get into customer facing positions like this? I intend to mention this to whomever in corporate handles this type of thing...Ridiculous!

• Randy (6/5): - When down to use the vending machines which did t work…was met at the front desk by a young woman in her pajamas and co Fi Jed to stuff her face with chips while I was explaining the problem…didn’t appear to care. The bathroom appeared to have pee on the floor. The quality of this place has reallly changed since we stayed there last year at this time, and will seek another motel when next we visit.
• Sydney (10/5): - Much better than expected. Would like to see mattress covers though.
• Sam (4/5): - I wouldn't stay there for $35 a night
• Verified traveler (8/5): Shower - Shower had hand rail missing with open holes exposed and plumbing was loose in wall.
• John (6/5): - The check in process was slow and all manual. We had reservations and had already provided our credit card number, phone number, etc. but had to do it again on paper. The air conditioner wasn't working in the lobby and the door to the swimming pool was open so it was very uncomfortable in the lobby. The bathtub faucet leaked continuously. No functional problem, just ugly.
