- Michelle (10/5): - We loved this property. Beautiful views. Check-in was easy and quick. Property manager was very responsive. Reason for not 5 stars is, no cleaning of room while we were there, 3 nights. Place was beautiful though. Would stay again and price was reasonable.

- Adrian (6/5): - Les photos sonr un peu trompeuses. Pas re restaurant ni sur place ni à proximité. En fait il faut se déplacer au moins à une 15 de minutes en auto pour trouver le moindre service. La chambre était propre mais très de base. Je n'ai pas aimé la disposition de la douche. La chambre a besoin d'un bon rafraîchissement. Le service de Sergio très courtois et attentionné.

Sergio was very welcome and unbelievably helpful with all information and activities suggestions. View from the Lodge is breathtaking. Bed was very comfortable. Will come back and recommend my friends.

- siddhesh (10/5): - This place has the most beautiful views of Arenal and the surrounding forest. We were able to see Tucan, Vultures and one other animal with our naked eyes. Such a beautiful place to stay. Last but not the least, the host Sergio. He is the sweetest Jentlemen I ever met. He has the best recommendations and offers help even in the middle of the night. Next time I visit, I will not have a second thought about making a reservation here just because of views and Sergio.
- Andrew (10/5): Gorgeous View - We LOVED our stay at Arenal Gardens! The view of Arenal Volcano and lake was spectacular!! It was very peaceful and had plenty of space. No air conditioning was not a problem with multiple fans and it cools off at night. There were huge windows everywhere- even in the shower- you feel like you are in a tree house in the jungle. The staff was there to greet us and help us get settled. We went to Sky Adventures the next morning and you can walk right next door and you are there. This little gem was well worth the Uber up from La Fortuna. If you do an activity at Sky Adventures you can also purchase a shuttle ride with them. They also have parking if you drive. It’s a good idea to bring some food/snacks with you as no stores are nearby. There is a lively restaurant next door at Sky Adventures. It was the best part of our trip- we would definitely come back!

- Michael (4/5): - Nobody on site when I first arrived. Crazy steep walkway to building, then stairs up to room. Air conditioner worked, but took two hours to cool room. No curtains on some windows; undersized curtains on others. Ants everywhere. Jet tub malfunctioned and sprayed water everywhere. Construction immediately adjacent was noisy. Lots of traffic passing nearby to enter Sky Adventures. Overall, this place is out of the way. View from main house was amazing, but uncomfortable with a family of 10 or so on the patio and I was the only guest.

Gorgeous flora and fauna at property. Building is well-loved, well-built, and we felt very safe. Very comfortable bed, slept well. Plenty of hot water and good water pressure. Coffee-maker and bar fridge conveniently in room.

- Chelesty (2/5): - When we first got there, we recieved detailed instructions from Sergio for check in on whatsapp. This was the only nice thing about our stay. We stayed for one night in room number2. The room was dirty, the bathroom was dirty, it looks like they forgot to clean the room before our check-in. There’s a curtain in the shower that turned out to be a home for a lot of bugs and insects. We were very disappointed from this experience. It is not a cheap hotel and we were expecting at least a clean room.

Sergio sent me pictures and messages on how the property looks earlier that day of where to go to find our room (not hard at all, we just arrived there at 10pm so it was dark and the pictures helped). This Lodge is right next to Sky Adventures but that doesn’t disrupt your stay. Only thing that would is the construction right outside. The property has a beautiful view of the lake and Arenal Volcano, and (minus the construction which doesn’t last all day) is in a quiet and peaceful area! Sergio gave us lunch and dinner suggestions which we ended up going to and these places had such great food! Sergio was very responsive, and our stay was lovely :) would come back!

The service is second to none, Sergio is a great dude! Accomodations were more than adequate with nice cold AC. Breakfast was simple but cooked to order - nothing beats coffee with this view! I will definitely be staying again.

- Daniel (8/5): Fantastic views, rustic accomodation - The views make this place worth it. Incredibly beautiful. Stayed in the Suite Room with Bathtub - everything in the room could do with a bit of tlc. The tub was damaged, the toilet seat certainly needed replaced, the water flow was poor (but the shower was fine). There was no iron, and despite asking for one it never appeared. The bed featured a canopy net, but was purely for show as the top of the bed/netting remained exposed. AC worked fine. Staff were friendly, breakfast was nice and plentiful. Based solely on the views, I would recommend.

- Verified traveler (8/5): - My cabin wS old but the view made up for everything. I stayed 4 days and was grateful for my cabin. They had newer, more moderm suites, but they did no have my experienc. I mean my zhower was i doors but faced the jungle with windows all around . I loved to shower and see only green. My host Sergio was the most gracious and helpful human. He made sure to befriend all guests, and was very knowledgeable of atrractions and services. He had Information that only a local would k ow snd wS very happy to share. I would say he is a big part of why i would return.

We had no toilet paper, no breakfast was available (even though advertised) and no one checked us in or out. There are holes everywhere in the house (broken windows/unsealed doors/rotten wood/etc) we had ants, crickets, and lizards...Thankfully no spiders (that we saw...)

- Dylan (10/5): Best View in Arenal - This hotel has an incredible view of both the lake and volcano from atop its promontory. Surrounded by nature we saw many different birds and wildlife in the surrounding jungle. Eduardo was incredibly helpful and accommodating, spending time with us to suggest local activities, sights and restaurants. His attentiveness to the needs of the guests makes the stay easy and enjoyable. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for amazing views, intimate interaction with nature and a bit of seclusion. Absolutely perfect!
- Geoffrey (6/5): Location with potention - Beautiful views, steps away from Sky Adventures. Great restaurant, Fusion, in nearby El Castillo. The water pressure in the shower is not reliable and we found that making our own tour arrangements allowed us to find small, interesting places. Our room had no closet or dresser. Breakfast server was well intentioned but would have benefitted from training.

- Merel (4/5): Vochtig.... - Alles is hier vochtig... nou helpt het niet dat het hier blijkbaar al 14 dagen regent en niet heel warm is. Maar alles in het huisje is erg vochtig. De bank, de matrassen, het beddengoed. Wanneer het regent loopt het water vanaf de porch onder de deur door en ontstaat er een flinke plas water in het appartement en onder de koelkast en het keukenblok. Dat draagt niet bij aan het klimaat in het huisje. Op de wand in de badkamer groeit een paddestoel (wel mooi), met de algemene hygiene lijkt het niet best gesteld.... Veel hoeken/kitnaden zijn vies en er lekt een bruine vloeistof onder de badkamerkraan vandaan over de wasbak (precies daar waar onze tandenborstels lagen...). Deur van de badkamer kan niet dicht, waarschijnlijk uitgezet. Spinnenwebben op diverse plaatsen. Voorzieningen: de beloofde open haard hebben we niet gevonden. Nou zaten we daar aanvankelijk ook niet op te wachten maar achteraf was het wel handig geweest om zowel het huisje, meubels als vochtige kleding te laten drogen. TV is aanwezig maar de afstandsbediening ontbreekt waardoor je op de kast moet klimmen om hem aan te krijgen. Redelijk wat zenders maar allemaal Spaans talig (nou heb je hier weinig behoefte aan tv, dus dat is ook geen ramp). Handdoeken zijn schoon maar erg versleten en worden, ook al zijn ze duidelijk vies, niet vervangen. Bed wordt wel dagelijks opgemaakt. De weg naar de ontbijtruimte is modderig dus trek het liefst laarzen aan. Het is wel heel ruim, mooie omgeving, ontbijt prima!

En en parlant avec le manager, nous avons pu passer à celui d´a côté qui était en bien meilleur état (pas d’odeurs). Nous sommes donc malgré tout satisfait du service. De plus, la vue est réellement magnifique!
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice hotel and great views! - We stayed at Arenal Tropical Garden for 3 nights. We loved the views! To sit out and see Arenal Lake and the volcano is incredible. The staff is very friendly and helpful. There were some ants in the room but we are in the rainforest so not surprising. The room was cleaned each day. They are also right next to sky adventures which is convenient.

- Joel (8/5): Amazing view and good excursions from here - Ended up having one room given to us for the first night, but were moved for second due to mixup at complex. Overall nice stay, roads were a bit rough, and not many close places to eat, but beautiful area, near Cerro Chato and Arenal Volcano, Lake Arenal, Fortuna, etc. Great trip!
- david (2/5): Just awful - It's unfortunate, it's visually one of the most beautiful places, but if you come without every single thing you need, you can not easily get it. Transportation every where is expensive and sparse, food, ice, water, I mean everything. Wi, was horrible. I checked out after 3 trying days and still await my refund. Oh and if you have a problem with the 4 people that checked in at 10:30 pm because they want to party, there is no one there, no security, at one point no electricity, phone didn't work and did I mention the wifi....
