Guest Reviews
- Gerald (10/5): - In a great location. We self checked in but the owner came by straight away to show us round and check all was OK.
- Stephen (4/5): - Less than welcoming reception. Expensive for what you get. Low budget breakfast was blamed on Covid. Would not stay there again.
- Robert (8/5): - lovely location - adjacent to winery; short drive to town for meals
- David (8/5): - I was surprised to find out that it's a "room" in a 3 bedroom house. But the amenity is great. The common area of the house can be used. It's among a vineyard area, quiet and serene. The inn-keeper lives in a separate house and came to help me check in when we got there. Overall it's an enjoyable and pleasant stay. I think it's a better experience than a typical hotel room.
- Laurie (10/5): - Wonderful hosts with great recommendations for restaurants and local history. The inn was comfortable and clean. The only drawback was a slight smell of cigarettes in some of the rooms.
- joseph (10/5): A wonderful time at a wonderful place. - Everything was excellent, but I would like to talk about changes to the Hotels.com platform.
The new Hotels.com has an annoying pop-up ad for One Key. I do not know what One Key is and I do not care.
Every time I navigate to a new page or listing the page loads and three seconds later the One Key ad fills the page. You have to use the "Back" button to get to the property you want to look at. Every time you click on a hotel, you get the pop-up. Then you click on the back button to dismiss it. In other words, the number of clicks to reserve a room has doubled. I am not happy with you, Hotels.com. I feel abused.
Absolutely fabulous at The Vineyard though. Ten Stars.
Be sure to visit The Marshall Store for oysters!
- JoLynn (10/5): - Beautiful vineyard property. House is not fancy but very comfortable and clean, with everything we needed. Molly is a super nice host and we enjoyed a great wine tasting!
- Alexander (10/5): - The owners keep this hidden gem in perfect shape.
It's a villa on the vineyard property away of the public.
The one-story building has 3 guest rooms (each with private bath), with big common areas like living room, dining room, kitchen etc.
For our stay only 2 rooms were occupied, and we met our neighbors only the next morning.
The host warmly greeted us at the arrival, showed all the amenities, and let us to our own devices :)
Nobody bothered us all the time, it was very quiet, the only small complain - the mattress was too firm to our taste.
They hold the simple continental breakfast in the kitchen. Every guest room has it's portion marked in the fridge, there were fruits, cereal, coffee, tea etc.
Very pleasant stay overall!
- Stephen (10/5): - It was exactly what I needed. I had the room with a bath and since I was meeting local friends I was fine making coffee in the morning, grabbing an energy bar to hold me over and sharing stories with the couple staying in the other room before I took off for the day. It was perfect.
- Peter (10/5): - Excellent
- NANCY (10/5): - Beautiful setting, comfortable accommodations, and gracious hosts. Many nice touches. The tasting room is an added bonus.
- wenrong (6/5): - This place is clean but kind of old. The lady was very friendly. It’s range home, not an inn. We didn’t realize it until we arrived..
We had an issue with the water there. The water was yellowish, it turned into brownish at night..I couldn’t take a shower..I was afraid to brush my teeth using that water. Luckily I found some clean water in the coffee pot and brushed my teeth..This is a really bad experience.
- VIJAY (10/5): - Very quite surroundings, extremely peaceful.
- Katharine (10/5): Picturesque - What a picturesque property. Perfectly situated close to town but far enough away for quiet. The hosts were wonderful, friendly and responsive. The place itself was dated but clean. I think it added to its charm. We hope to visit again!
- Sharon (10/5): - The hosts were very helpful. The tasting room was an unexpected treat. The locations was perfect.
- Nancy (10/5): - The property is close to Pt. Reyes National Seashore, cattle ranches and beautiful Tamales Bay. Lovely property. Thank you.
- Lisa (10/5): - It felt like a home away from home. Liked that there was a living room to watch tv at night and a dining room with breakfast options provided to start a day of sightseeing.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Horrible Service!!! - I booked this place through hotels.com for me and my wife’s vacation. After driving several hours I received a text and email saying the hotel was overbooked and my stay would not be honored. I called the hotel to speak with the owner about the situation and was talked down to and yelled at saying he only deals with Expedia. There was no apologies or attempts to make it right. He even went on to say, “ You think people don’t get mad at me all the time? I don’t care what they think!” I’m sure this is not the first time he has done this to people and please be very aware. I tried to tell him he needed to take his place off hotels.com and he continued to say I don’t use them. I will never stay there and will make sure to pass the word on to others.
- sara (6/5): - This inn was super basic and had the feel of a youth hostel. We would not have been comfortable had there been other guests. This is a 3 bedroom home and rooms are close together with 2 of them sharing a bathroom. The inn is quite dated . The bed was comfortable and the water was hot. The heat worked and the inn keeper greeted us when we arrived. We were happy to be on our own and did not need more. Point Reyes stays can be costly and this inns rates were in keeping with our budget.
- Martin (10/5): - Very friendly hostess and nice room.
- Steven (8/5): - Easy to find location. Well sign posted just off Highway 1 but sufficiently far away to be a calm and tranquil rural location situated amongst a vineyard and ranching.
However some concern about security. Apparently due to local fire department recommendations the external door of the property should be left unlocked. At the same time there didn't seem to be any smoke alarms in the property.
- Steve (10/5): - Loved the countryside
- Victoria (4/5): - This property is not a “romantic inn” but rather a run-down B &B in need a some major upgrades. The listing is misleading: our room was not a “suite” but a single bedroom with a hallway bathroom. The lack of privacy was disappointing and the whole place was grossly overpriced, which seems to be common in Pt Reyes Station bc of high demand & limited supply of lodging. I would not care about lack of upgrades if I was just looking for a place to sleep, but for that price I could have stayed in a cleaner, more private, more convenient place.
- James (10/5): Point Reyes vineyards and inn - This place was perfect. Quiet and secluded from busy areas. Great area for biking and hiking. Molly was an amazing host and super friendly. Great wine and a great vibe . We will definitely be back!
- Carole (8/5): - The setting is lovely. It’s a quiet area surrounded by the vineyards. The inn is a small house with three rooms for rent. One of the rooms has an en-suite. The other two share an adjacent bathroom. The kitchen is used solely for a very generous cold breakfast. The kitchen is not available for any guest food or cooking. The host is very congenial and only comes over once to show you around and collect payment.
- Michael (10/5): - Don’t come late. There is no food available in the area.
- Sylvia (10/5): Quaint, quiet, and quality - Steve and Molly were excellent hosts. I arrived a little late just as the tasting room had closed, but Steve provided me with a private tasting anyway with a history of the area and wines. He gave suggestions for dinner as well and activities to do (both of which i took up - dinner at Due West and Point Reyes Lighthouse). Molly made sure we were all taken care of and snuck in quietly in the morning to prepare coffee for the guests. Would definitely recommend to everyone I know.
- Carmen Elizabeth (4/5): - There are serious concerns about this property. Number one is the lack of security. Every door around the property is left unlocked 24/7 or the locks do not work. When we arrived there was no one to greet us even though it was only 4:30 PM. We found our bedroom key with a note and our names on top of the entrance table. We looked around and there was no sign of life. The hallway leading to our bedroom was dark. The blinds in the bedroom and bathroom windows do not work properly.
On our first night we went to the local supermarket and since all the restaurants were closed, we bought prepared food and proceeded to reheat it in the kitchen oven. At that time which was around 8:30 PM, the hostess finally showed up.After a brief introduction, she realized that we were reheating food and told us that we were not supposed to use the stove or the oven. We apologize but told her that there was no other way we could eat that evening. She went into the kitchen and told us to turn off the oven because she didn’t know how to, and began to open the windows saying she needed to get the food smell out. That very first night as we were in the kitchen cleaning up we heard a very angry voice coming from the apartment below shouting angrily “Quiet” “Damn”, “Let me sleep”.This was around 9:30 PM. The same angry screaming and shouting occurred for two more nights even if we tip toed in the kitchen. The screams were accompanied with banging on the walls and things being thrown out across the room.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Beautiful surroundings - The environs were beautiful, nestled in the hills. We were fortunate that no one else was renting any of the rooms in this mid century one family home so we had it to ourselves. Steve was friendly, attentive and responsive.
I was expecting more of an actual inn rather than a 3 BR 2 BA ranch home, which felt somewhat similar to the one I live in, but it was comfortable and quiet.
- Rachel (10/5): - Lovely place. Room is large and bed is comfortable. On the farm and winery. Nice and quiet. Good breakfast.
- Scott (8/5): - The setting was pleasing. We found the room large and the common living area was spacious and well appointed. COVID has reduced the breakfast offering, but that is an acceptable tradeoff for safety.
The property owner handled a difficult issue professionally.
There were minor issues with security lights going on at night outside the bedroom window and dogs barking. They did not outweigh the otherwise pleasant experience.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Comfortable and convenient - Clean and comfortable. Two miles from Point Reyes. The breakfast part was mostly Costco food((bars, yogurt, fruit), but there was plenty of it. The cheese in the fridge was a nice touch. Very friendly owners. The policy regarding plugging in vehicles and bikes should be clarified.
- SUSAN (10/5): - This was my first time sharing a house with others and it was very positive. Really enjoyed the other couple. They, and the host, were very friendly and welcoming. The home space was wonderful and way more than I expected. I used the spacious living room to do my yoga practice and had some wonderful time in the morning sun in the east facing room. Though cooking was not allowed, I appreciated being able to use the fridge and freezer to manage my travel food.
- Tabetha (10/5): - Molly greeted us and showed us around. She had coffee ready to brew in AM plus light breakfast food options.
The home was clean. It is dated, but is homey.
- Amy (8/5): - Beautiful setting
Comfortable accommodations
Would stay there again
- Marilen (8/5): - We had a nice stay
- Norman (8/5): - It was very quiet and clean.
- Anna P (8/5): - This B&B is in a beautiful setting.
Quite and relaxing.
- Lawrence (10/5): - Restful
- diane (4/5): - Sixties era house not kept up, cold breakfast left on table, lousy coffee, expensive wine tasting (worst wine ever), no cooking allowed, no shampoo/conditioner/hairdryer, cobwebs on all the windows, bird droppings on deck furniture.
House inside very dated but clean and woman host friendly (man grumpy).
Surroundings beautiful. Should be much cheaper for what you don’t get!
Hardly the usual bed and freshly cooked hosted breakfast.
- jamie (8/5): - Great place, very quiet, away from everybody but the cows..which were friendly.
- MIKE (10/5): - It was great!
- Lyudmila (10/5): - The host was very helpful and made sure that my wheelchair bound husband was able to get around. The house was lovely as well! Thank you!!!
- Scott (6/5): Could be better! - For the price for a B&B it could better. Breakfast consists of a coffee, some cereals and yoghurt. Place quite old... Disappointed overall
- Ilan (10/5): - The house is easy to find and is not far from the main route but at the same time it is in a secluded area and gives a feeling of serenity and peace. There are three bedrooms in the house, and a lot of space for relaxing, reading, watching TV, or just enjoying oneself. There are a lot of hiking trails withing 20-30-minute drive.
- LESLIE (10/5): - A very picturesque property.
- Debbie (10/5): - The inn keeper was super friendly and helpful. She went out of her way to ensure I had gluten-free breakfast items. The room was spacious, and with no one else staying, we had the house to ourselves. We would definitely stay here again!
- Linda (10/5): Fantastic discovery we'll need to return to again - My husband and I were VERY pleased with this lovely B&B just outside Point Reyes Station. Owner Molly & Steve were clear and precise in their timely email communications with us prior to our arrival. We slept snug and comfortably in the king bed of the large 'Champagne' room, and the WiFi was adequate. Bathroom was fine. The information and maps were very helpful. Tip to future clients: in cool season, if you're first to arrive after the 4pm check in time, you may need to set the thermostat for the entire B&B. For our aging knee cartilage, the sofa height was too low to easily get back out of; easily fixed with plywood under the cushions. We decided to return a few hours after we checked out, when the Point Reyes Winery was open, and were were VERY glad we did, as it gave us a perfect opportunity to talk at greater length with the owners and to sample the prize-winning wines. We found out the winery had been in the original family for 4 generations, and the grapes were all champagne grapes. Heard some detail about the awards, tasted a half dozen wines, took home several really great bottles, and plan to return again, working a stop here into the northern lap of our annual Mendocino Japanese maple buying trip. Spectacular views from the hilltop. Make yourself lucky to stay a night here!
- Rosemary (8/5): - Beautiful location, room was spacious and clean, very well suited for our stay. Mike was very helpful and welcoming. I would stay again if I were in the area.
- Anne (10/5): - We had a lovely time away. The property is beautiful. The house is very clean and comfortable. Our hosts were very welcoming and friendly. We would stay again.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Our stay was ‘okay.’ - Facility was adequate. Community space was nice. Bathroom needed attention- it needed cleaning.
- Madeleine (10/5): - Very close the the seashore national park and point Reyes down town. The area is incredibly charming. The home was like being home. The only thing I would have liked to see would have been a new bar of soap, shampoo, and conditioner in the shower/tub (there was body wash provided, but it had seen multiple uses).
- John (10/5): - Beutiful setting, comfortable room. Wish we could have stayed longer.
- Tracy (8/5): - Overall it was a great stay. Only down fall was that one of their dogs kept barking in the middle of night outside our window and waking us up. The property is beautiful. The host are very nice. Great location
- Carolyn (4/5): Not an Inn - This place is listed as an Inn. This is a B&B. It’s a house. I do not want to share a house with strangers. This is totally misleading of the type of stay you get. Breakfast was open cereal boxes. Note on door no food in rooms because of ants. But it’s ok to have open cereal boxes. Note on front door to leave front door unlocked. Did not feel safe
- Patty (10/5): - This property is gorgeous. Although we were able to see the B&B, circumstances had us leave prematurely but the rooms and common areas are lovely.
Wouldn’t hesitate to book this inn in the future.
- Neil Alan (10/5): - We just wanted a place to spend 2 nights, convenient to all the Wedding events. This was just fine for us.
- Kevin (10/5): - We had an excellent experience at Point Reyes Vineyard during our road trip down CA Route 1. The owners were very friendly and helpful with the check-in process. They also helped us with local dining and entertainment suggestions. The vineyard is conveniently located for exploring the Point Reyes national seashore and the property is beautiful. The actual B&B is a separate building from the main residence and had great amenities and breakfast options. The owners do tastings of their vineyard wines on the weekends, which was a very nice bonus.
- Mark (8/5): - Unique setting. Unique bed & breakfast.
- Richard (10/5): - As before, son, Richard, helped us beyond the necessary. Breakfast was great. We look forward to staying again.
- Elliott S (8/5): - Difficult to get out of couch could be replaced with table and chair.
- YITAO (10/5): - Simple but comfortable B&B with winery and wine tasting on site. Close distance to PRNS.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - I liked that it was so quiet and peaceful until your dog continually disrupted my sleep until I had to get up and call you at 2 in the morning to ask you to make it stop. How could you let that happen?!! Which you did but I didnt get back to sleep for over an hour. I lay there thinking about how bad it smelled in the room. I tried to escape the bad air from wildfires only to breathe what i suspect are mold spores.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The winery ranch attitude was really pleasing
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Beautiful picturesque location. Only complaint would be the ants
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Owner is very friendly, and shared with us the history and personal stories of the winery, the ranch and the family. The view and the serenity are unbeatable, I wouldn't have any hesitation to recommend this to my friends
- Verified traveler (6/5): - There was a power blackout on second night
- Tera (8/5): - the B&B was as advertised - cozy, comfortable and a bit dated. the bed was really comfortable. the property itself is pretty quiet after dark.
the property wasn't quiet once everyone started to rise in the morning. creaks and bathroom noise had me up early every day but it got me out into the park before the crowds so that was nice.
breakfast is fine. i don't mind the cereal, oatmeal and energy bar options they are offering during Covid. i would have liked yogurt options other than greek yogurt. it would also have been nice to have a few hard boiled eggs available.
Steve and Molly were very nice and welcoming. They were always available if you needed them but they were otherwise unintrusive which is nice.
i'd go back.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Berry comfy house with kitchen and living room.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Retro, comfortable inn with very helpful hosts.
- Thomas (10/5): Nice - Nice
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The home is in a beautiful setting 2 miles no Orth of town, surrounded by vineyards and pastures. There are 3 bedrooms, one en suite. Large common areas, balcony off the back, and well stocked items for breakfast. Steve and Molly are wonderful, and wine tasting next door on the tasting room patio is great. So many birds around the area. A great stay.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great staff! Very professional and enjoyable.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very peaceful and quiet. Beautiful views of the trees, lots of birds, small walk up the hill for a dramatic view of Tomales Bay, friendly staff, delicious home grown wine. I can’t believe my girlfriend and I found this last minute. Couldn’t ask for more! Thank you 🙌
- Verified traveler (6/5): - It is on an active vineyard with wine tasting. Fair cleanliness. Shared home with two other guests only. No staff on sight so must be comfortable sharing. Rug could use some cleaning. In the country but short drive to Seashore and some restaurants.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - This is an older ranch-style home that has been converted to a B&B. The bed was very comfortable and the bedding was very good. The furnishings looked like they were part of the original home and were a bit dated. The host was very friendly and happy to assist us with anything we needed. I liked the sparkling wines they make at the vineyard.
- Cynthia (10/5): Wine Tasting and Stories - This place was AWESOME! Highly recommend. Steve and Molly are SO nice! They really welcomed us, and made us feel at home. We enjoyed wine tasting with Steve and hearing all his great stories. If you stay here, don't forget to walk over and do a tasting! You won't regret it!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Nice location. Pleasant owner. We stayed in the house with three bedrooms. Others could be heard. TV in family room could be heard. Nice but a bit dated.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - It is a residence convert to B&B. The place is modest and spacious. Easy to access, close to downtown. Because there is not restaurant near the complex so you either go to the mini store to buy food or prepare yourself for lunch and dinner. The host do provide breakfast to the guest. Remember they do not allow you to bring food in the room.
- tom (10/5): Maxing out chilling - Excellent location and views are fabulous, great wine tasting at the vineyard tasting room -across the parking lot (note business hours/days), friendly well trained dogs and gorgeous cows with huge horns (did not try to pet them -results may vary according to personal taste). Brilliant and sparkly host couple for friendly chat.
- William (8/5): Friendly family own B&B near downtown Point Reyes - Friendly, quiet and welcoming. Room 1 is a large suite with bathroom. Spacious, clean, good WiFi. Surrounded by pastures and vineyards. The gentle cows and dogs roaming the ranch make the relaxing atmosphere even more pleasant. Limited breakfast. A short drive to downtown and outdoor spots. A convenient base to explore Point Reyes, Mount Tam, Muir Woods and Stinson Beach.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Charm find! Love the property it's beautiful! House was very clean and well kept. Owners are on site and very friendly and kind. It was a perfect location for are weekend getaway. Would stay here again.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The setting was serene and I liked the farming atmosphere. It was a nice place for my quick getaway to revisit the Point Reyes Seashore. The only thing concerning to me was wifi kept cutting out and I had no cell service in many areas around my travel.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - The surrounding area is beautiful and enjoyed my time in that area
- zhen (10/5): - Owner is very nice. Beautiful place and good wine. It is close to all the good hiking places.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Solo getaway - I enjoyed my stay. My bed was comfortable and clean. Coffee was ready by 7 with a continental breakfast of sorts. I had the whole place to myself probably due to it being a Sunday. The place could use a little TLC, but other than that I recommend it for the value.
- Terrill (8/5): - I really love this property and is way different than I have stayed on. It is on a winery and also lots of cows. It feels like your staying on a ranch and the property is a house. It is very close to Point Reyes and there are beautiful drives around the point. I recommend it for people who like to adventure and are interested in exploring. So much to see in that area.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - This is just a house and the use of the term "Inn" is rather misleading. The "suite" in the master bedroom and has its own bathroom. Guests in the other two rooms are shared. This place is not ADA compliant. It was clean enough and the breakfast items were ok but nothing special.
- MJB (10/5): - Beautiful ambiance. Very peaceful and quiet. No interference from the owners but always just a phone call away if needed.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Had a lovely quiet stay at this cozy b&b. We were in the main bedroom with the private bathroom... its worh noting that the other two rooms looked like they share a bathroom. The house wa lovely and having a tasting room right near made for a fun weekend
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Wine tasting next to the Inn. Cows on the property. Very comfy bed. I felt right at home. This was a great find!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Quiet, hummingbirds, plenty of choices at breakfast however no hot options, no fresh baked goods
Many outlets in the room and bathroom did not work. Inconvenient for hair drying ,etc!
- Verified traveler (6/5): Disappointed - It was a very peaceful property but nothing at all has been updated, the bed was super uncomfortable and my window didn’t have a screen and the food for breakfast was boxed cereals and yogurt. Not at all what you expect from a B&B
Very nice keeper but the place needs some love
- William (8/5): Nice - The bed was great. Staff very friendly & helpful about local questions that we might visit. The decor is of the 70s but quaint. The breakfast was an assortment of cereals, breakfast bars & yogurt. Nothing hot to eat. One concern was concerning ants so requested no no food in the rooms. Not sure if this is a recent problem but do hope they would have this addressed promptly. Since we were the only ones there we didn’t have to share the bath. It is in a remote area, so quiet. For the price we had hoped for a warm breakfast and would like the “ant “ situation addressed.
- Antoinette (10/5): - Nice experience, facilities could use a refresh and upgrade.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Disappointed in Point Reyes - I have never stayed in such a below average B&B. Breakfast was a do-it-yourself cereal or granola bar. I have been in motels with better breakfasts. Facilities were a bit out-dated.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - This location is very quiet and relaxing. We had a private room with its own bathroom. There was another quiet couple staying there as well. It was fine we respected each other's privacy, and visited a little but mostly we were out having fun. The view of the Point Reyes' ridge is beautiful. We sat outside and drank wine in the evening, and sat outside and drank coffee in the morning. There is a kitchen, but no pots or pans for cooking. We brought our food and used the refrigerator, the microwave, and the dishes provided. It's 2 miles from downtown Pt Reyes Station, so very quiet. There are cows on the property who moo to each other :)
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very clean, very quiet and breakfast was good. The setting is outstanding and scenic. The room was spacious and the bath was private and adequate. However, we wished that the innkeepers would have taken the time to meet with us and be more personable.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - This property is in a beautiful location. I guess they do well because there are so many things they could easily fix. My guess is that this house was owned by someone’s parents and when they got older and died they turned it into an inn and changed nothing. I say someone’s parents because when my kids walked in they said it smelled like grandma and grandpa’s house. Everything needs to be redone. It looks as if it is from the early 1970’s. The deck outside is old and could use a new coat of stain, for some reason there is an electric bug catcher going 24/7 but there aren’t many bugs, well, I could go on. It’s not filthy and the continental breakfast is fine, just packaged cereals and breakfast bars, granola bars. There is yogurt and some drinks in the fridge. Don’t bring any food into the rooms as there is a strict no food policy in the rooms. Just so many possibilities but so run down.
- LW (10/5): - Aside from a few moos from the resident cattle, which we loved, it was a quiet and peaceful property.
