- Sandra (1/5): Disgusting - Location The bedsheets were filthy, it smelled horrible. I had to wipe down the sink and toilet. The lamp shades were constantly crooked. I checked out and didn’t stay the night.

- David (4/5): - There was no microwave in the room so I had to go to the front office to warm food up. On the say of checkout the clerk asked if the microwave in my room wasn't working and sid offer to bring 1 to the room. No covers on the bed only sheets. The bathtub was dirty and the floor wasn't swept. No place to hang clothes and 1 of the drawers didn't have a bottom.

The TV didn't work at all. The sheets were visibly worn and cleanliness was questionable. It was after midnight so I couldn't make other arrangements, but I would NEVER recommend anyone stay here

- Rachael (6/5): - We were making a move from up state NY to Florida. I saw this was a pet friendly place to stay. Check in was easy and the staff were the BEST. They were so friendly and helpful. I was honest and told them I had a cat. The pet fee was only $10 for the night. When we got to our room, I had to use the bathroom and the toilet wouldn't flush. I walked back to the check in area and let the staff know. They immediately had someone come and fix the issue. Not the cleanest or nicest place I have ever stayed but for the price and the staff I was OK with 1 night.

The tv worked for about 10 minutes then went out. 1 lamp on 1 nightstand. Only had 2 bath towels, no hand or face towels. Had a 5th of a roll of tp. Had no room phone to call the front desk. The tub spout was loose, so you had to hold it to lift the shower nob. It listed as having breakfast which there was none, not even coffee.Overall it was a bad experience for it being list on Hotels.com.

- Alexis (2/5): - Front desk lady was harassing us made our friend leave our room on thanksgiving cause he wasn't on the room only 2 people allowed and he wasn't even staying the night and made up a booking fee soon as we get to the hotel after I called and she said it wasn't a fee need to do better and start taking english lessons if you're running an establishment with multi-language people. need to clean spiderwebs from everywhere and update the 1980's a/c never staying here again very unwelcoming

- Verified traveler (2/5): Wouldnt recommend unless you just had to - Microwave didnt work, mini fridge had leftover food from previous guest so it wasnt even checked upon cleaning. The toilet water was cut off because the bowl float doesnt work, so to flush you had to turn water valve under toilet on every time. Hot and cold water in shower was reversed so went with thinking we werent going to have hot water for a shower for a time until we decided to try it on “cold” and then got hot water. First day lady came in while we were in the room without knocking to come “clean”. Service probably wouldve been better if we actually understood what person at the counter was saying. Ended up leaving a night early just to not deal with it.

AC plastic housing was barely on unit and was broken in several places, barely cooling the room. Front desk didn't believe us when we complained and came to room to check. Accused my wife of moving the bed closer to the AC and it was just how we found it. She finally agreed to give us another room. 2nd room was in better shape but toilet handle was so corroded the chain to flush it with was at the bottom of the tank. I would have left but the reservation was nonrefundable. DO NOT STAY HERE.

- Jennifer (8/5): - Other than being an older property - In other words, you could clearly see the ware and tare of the walls & furniture. There was an opening at the bottom of the door (no weather stripping) so insects/lizards could come in. It wasn't sealed, water leaked in from power washing.
I have no other real complaints. The staff was wonderful, very friendly, guest oriented, and helpful. Easy on/off access to I-95 and short commute to historic district of Savannah. Easy parking.
Room was very clean, cool A/C, comfy bed, and nice shower. Perfect for a quick overnight stop.

- Nisaa (10/5): - I only stayed for one night as I was visiting various areas in Savannah. But, my stay was wonderful. The front lobby and the room was spotless. You could smell the cleaning products when walking in the front door. It made me comfortable right away because I knew the room would be clean and it was. The property was very quiet and peaceful. The internet was quick, which was nice since I have to upload videos for work. They also had grab and go breakfast available. All in all I would definitely recommend the Royal Inn!!!!

- Steven (6/5): Turned Around and Walked Away - I find it difficult to believe that this hotel rates 7/10 on customer reviews. After having seen the place, other customers' ratings are suspicious: the descriptions "Exceptional" and "Very good" are used repeatedly.
We arrived around 3:30 pm and the office was empty. After ringing the bell several times and getting no response, I found an employee on the second floor, apparently cleaning rooms. She was very polite and came down and checked us in. We already had a bad vibe about the place, though, just from the outside. We walked in the room and it just looked dingy. We had asked for two doubles, but the room had one king. We looked at the chair and footstool--both were old and dirty, and my wife wouldn't even enter the room. We returned the key to the office, paid for the night anyway, and stayed in the Fairfield Marriott nearby--much nicer!
