Guest Reviews
- Adam (8/5): - Room and location were great! Did not realize the pool and hot tub were not working.
- Eleni (7/5): Cute unit, great location, don’t expect excellence. - The room was cute. Pool was out of order but we were able to use the neighbours. Parking stalls were super hard to get in and out of. Room wasn’t cleaned well; chip crumbs and a bottle cap were on the floor, crumbs on dining table, stains on the blanket.
- Maria (1/5): GARBAGE. HEADACHE. DYSFUNCTIONAL. - Upon arrival, i used the codes provided for the parking that clearly stated “can be used before check in time”. These codes were incorrect. Upon multiple failed attempts trying to get in contact with the host, they admitted to providing me with the incorrect room number and access codes—without an apolagy. The lack of empathy and accountability of the host and manager. After admitting this whole ordeal was their fault, they then proceeded to tell me that I was at fault and that my approach was rude…
- Debra (8/5): -
- Nathan (3/5): An absolute F*** around - It had a bed to sleep in that was relatively comfortable. The room I had booked 304 had a water leak the night before I got there so they upgraded to another room at a different hotel (The Cascade lodge) for my stay, great, that place was amazing.
But then halfway through my stay when I was up the mountain skiing they were spam calling me. When I was able to pick up they told me I had to vacate the upgraded room immediately as the owner had decided to come up for the weekend. They offered no compensation for having to cut my day pass short due to their error.
Then when I got to my originally booked room it had not been fully repaired after the leak, still clearly water damaged chiprock/ paint and a portion still completely missing. Even without that the room was one of the worst layouts I have ever seen. The bedroom (if you can call it that) the bed was right next to the entry door. So when in bed you could hear everything in the main hallway. So I hope you like hitting first lifts because you’ll hear everyone who is. The kitchen was bare bones basic very old oven and microwave, they did work so that was nice. But the one and only oven tray provided (looked like a half sheet tray) didn’t fit in the oven in either orientation! There was also no direct access to the ski storage, so you had to get one of their incredibly slow lifts down to the parking garage and then back up to your room
- eli (8/5): Love whistler - It’s a great spot
Very chilled nice reception It’s smaller than what it looked
- Cillian (10/5): -
- Adriano (8/5): -
- Rigel John (8/5): Good - It’s clean I can smell peoples smoking cigarettes and marijuana from their patio whenever I open my patio door. Especially in the mornings
- Drew (8/5): - Great location. Maybe a little far for some to schlep to the lifts. But there is a shuttle. I prefer to walk it. Also love the restaurants and bars in the area.
- julius (10/5): Awesome. - Perfectly appointed room for my ski trip. Quiet location and convenient to restaurants, grocery and liquor stores. Nothing to dislike.
- Howie (4/5): Keep looking - these aren't the droids you're looking for ... - Underground parking was nice - although expensive. Unfortunate floorplan. This unit is tiny, poorly laid out, no bedside table on right side when there is room for one. Cracked glass in the collection of four in the cabinet; batteries missing in safe so it wouldn't lock; all the shades should have been replaced years ago with modern room darkening ones.
- joshua (7/5): -
- Ching Wen (10/5): -
- Juliet (9/5): Lovely Room in the Best Location - Our stay was great, the location couldn't be better and the bed was huuuuuge! The room was a great size, the kitchenette was handy and the balcony was lovely to sit out on. My partner got great use out of gym facilities and the reception area is lovely. The only area that wasn't great was the pool/hot tub area. We didn't get to use the hot tub as it was full every time we went down, groups would take it over for prolonged periods - and the pool was closed.
- Cori (7/5): Clean, modern, well equipped, close to slopes, short walk to slopes or a 4 min bus ride very conveni - The spa, sauna and steam room. Shame the pool was closed.
- jacob (1/5): The worst. Avoid Elevate- they are a scam - the bed was comfortable. false advertising-only one tiny room.
terrible communication-host locked us out repeatedly with incorrect codes (every day including on arrival) and was uncontactable.
host took no responsibility
- Richard (6/5): - Location and pool
And exercise facilities Lost reservation at check in.
- Marianne (7/5): -
- james (8/5): - Good location. Close to many businesses. Close to town bus stop. Spa facilties were clean and working. Very slow elevator. Our room was very tight for two people with ski clothes and equipment. The room had one closet 2 ft x 3 ft . There were no clothes hooks. The ski equipment storage area was underground in the garage, which required waiting for the slow elevator.
- Luis Alberto (8/5): Nice cozy space to experience a snowy weekend - THE location of the hotel was great, and having a balcony was a plus We did not have enough blankets, I was traveling with family (4) and it would it be nice to have our own blankets, the place was great , and we were not cold, we just wanted to have our own blankets, and when we called the FD to request extra blankets they told us that we had to wait until the next day, that the desk was closed at 5:00 pm.
- Jessica (9/5): -
- Barry (8/5): Decently comfortable stay, good value, great location. - Great location, all essentials covered Pillows on bed were uncomfortable. Had to use a throw pillow to sleep on instead
- Angela (9/5): Quiet and spacious unit with views. - The unit was delightful as it had two separate bedrooms and was very nicely renovated. Lots of windows on all sides and would be lovely also in summer with all the balconies. The elevator was quite slow and a very small hot tub in common space outside. Also the parkade needs better charging facilities Both plug systems did not work
- David (10/5): -
- Danielle (10/5): Gorgeous well appointed apartment close to the ski area - The apartment was beautiful and well appointed. Two bathrooms was a godsend and the kitchen had so many useful appliances including a slow cooker which was so great after a day on the slopes. It was perfect for our family of four. Even included robes to go down to the spa/pool. It was such value for money and grocery store is across the road and great coffee shops and restaurants. Would definitely recommend and stay again. The hosts were friendly and helpful when I spoke to them and having a gym and heated spa was great The washer and dryer are communal and cost $3.50 per cycle. Great to have the facilities but would be fab to have them in the apartment. The beds were comfortable but a slight movement shook the bed. Also the check in process required you to call and leave a credit card close to check in. I was having trouble with my email (changing country) and didn’t have a phone number so this was difficult so would’ve been great to organise this at time of booking rather than when I arrived from overseas.
- Katrina (8/5): Great spot - has everything you need for your stay. Clean rooms, comfy bed. Great value - Great location, has everything you need, good value Tv could be bigger
- Wei Ju Bonnie (10/5): Will return for sure, this is our 2nd time at this location. - Clean, great location, underground parking, full kitchen, privacy between room & sofa bed. Super recommended We left some items behind and could not get ahold of the cleaning company. Each room is managed by their own cleaning company. Just be aware to double check before leaving.
- Liam Pingree (6/5): -
- leekal (2/5): Terrible service - Location is good the front desk at the property is not affiliated with the units as they are owned privately, so we basically don't get much service at all.
I've to email Elevate 3 times to get towels as there's only 1 towel for 3 of us since check-in, and we don't even get shampoo and shower gel top up. In the end, we had to go to the gym to pump shampoo from their dispenser.
They kept messaging me to hold a cad500 security deposit before letting us into their property despite having made full payment for the 3 nights stay.
Their bed came loose, and we had to fix it back the bed, which is ridiculous.
- Harmeet (8/5): Was an all round good stay 8/9 out of 10 for me. Check in and check out isn’t the best of times but was still good - Everything was decent Pool was supposed to open at 9 but opened at 10, was a bit crap as was only there for one night
- Silke (9/5): - Zentral gelegen, schöne Unterkunft mit zwei Terrassen. Extrem freundliche Mitarbeiterin, die uns das vergessene Kuscheltier hinterher geschickt hat.
- Jeffs (10/5): -
- Michael (9/5): Very enjoyable. Staff very helpful as we had left some coats behind and they kindly arranged to have them returned to us - Convenient location. Good size. Nothing.
- lenard (3/5): - Location Warnings were heavy~handed. For example: be late checking out be liable to a $500 fine: lost pool towel, fine of $200 for example. The pool towels were so shabby they should have been replaced. It was just weird.
- Molly (6/5): A lovely trip to Whistler was ruined by terrible sleep. - Great location and views from the balcony. The only complaint about the actual apartment would be the very uncomfortably squeaky bed. You couldn’t move without waking yourself and the person next to you. There was also a leak in the hotel and when we arrived to check in we’re told our apartment wasn’t affected but there would be some contractors on site. This was fine, however, once we got into the apartment and begun to sort out our things, a man lets himself into our room and begins walking round checking for water damage. I wouldn’t have minded if he’d knocked but I thought this was inappropriate. When we came back that evening there were a couple of large industrial fans on the corridors, one was right outside our door and there were also men(contractors) walking up and down the corridors talking very loudly at about 10:30pm. We were struggling to sleep so I opened the door and asked if I could turn the fan off whilst I slept, he wasn’t happy but said I could if I turned it back on in the morning. Not even half an hour later he had turned it back on which I thought was incredibly rude. To add to the already uncomfortable start, the second evening we came back to find a giant dehumidifier in our already small bathroom (see images), no one had discussed this with us or asked if it was ok to enter our room where all our things were. Not only was this loud but it was giving out heat on an already very hot day. I decided to go to the front desk to discuss all of this and ask if I could turn it off and remove it as it was in the way or the toilet and bath/shower to be told I could turn it off but not remove it. All in all, he wasn’t very helpful with any of my complaints and said he can’t do anything about it with no apology.
- Dayhim (10/5): -
- Siobhan (7/5): - Good location, balcony Having to pay extra for parking.
Room finishings/facilities are quite dated and tired. Did not like the insistence of sharing credit card details over email for damages deposit.
- Wilson (8/5): Could not beat the location. The staff we met were all nice. The park in the backyard was awesome. - Arrived after dark so when we woke and looked out the window we had a wonderful surprise. The view of the nearby mountains was incredible. Easy to walk to any place in the village yet being on the end of Main St felt much more private than many of the locations we saw in town. There was one elevator out of commission and only one for the building at the time. The room was surprisingly small, but we adjusted quickly. The entrance to the garage was a bit tricky to find for entrying the code, but we found it and then it was easy.
- Paula (7/5): Clean basic accommodation - Central location. Clean room but a tad outdated. The lobby and corridor leading to the room was very dark and needs updated.
- Koleva (8/5): - Location was great, walking distance to everywhere. Studio was very compact, fitting a basic kitchenette with a stove top and oven; it was very convenient if one does not want to go out to dine. Room was renovated, fresh, bright and clean look. Pool and hot tub amenities were great too, and peaceful, overlooking the little park behind. Balcony had partial view to the mountains, and nice to have breakfast on. Parking stalls were cramped, challenging if one travels with a larger vehicle; plus overnight charge was not cheap and on top of the room booking price. Main street might be a bit noisy at night; we had a car alarm go off and it took some time for the owner to switch it off around midnight.
- Melissa (9/5): Good location comfortable studio room - Location Loud air con
- Marc (9/5): Great one night stay apartment - Great location. Good amenities. Nice and clean It was pricey. The bedroom was very small
- Karen (8/5): -
- Geert (10/5): -
- Muhammad (7/5): Good -
- Anny (7/5): Great location, friendly staff and beautiful apartment with nice views and also clean. We had terrible sleep on the sofa - Location
Parking
Balcony - views stunning Broken elevator
Terrible sofa bed
- Aditya (10/5): Exceptional -
- Karen (7/5): Good - Location was good
Great view if the mountains from the balcony Apartment was very small, cooking area was tiny
- Al (5/5): Passable - Room wasn’t meeting our expectations
- Nanette (10/5): Loved staying there. It was a perfect location close to the Village Stroll. - Loved the balconies It took us a while to get access as it was the Canada Day weekend and your staff were not initially available
- Fiona (10/5): A wonderful and very happy stay. - It’s excellent location and the exemplary service provided by Elevate Vacations to ensure we had everything required for travelling with a baby. On request, the housekeeping staff enabled an earlier check-in. The portacot was in the room, as requested, making everything seamless.
- P.mahi (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely stay and great service. Nothing to not like.
- Deanne (8/5): Was decent - The second bedroom was way too cramped. My mom and I could hardly walk around the bed. I strongly suggest a bunk bed instead. It would free up a lot more space and make the room feel more inviting.
- Tracy (8/5): Very good -
- Louise (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ryan (7/5): Slightly overpriced and poor on-site staff that were uncaring when I complained about noise one nigh - Everything I needed was in the room. Lots of good info. Codes to check in were late in being e-mailed. No real connection between myself and the hosts.
- Simon (5/5): Ruined by noise pollution - The property should have warned of the deafening drilling that literally made our room shake
- Julie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Allison (10/5): Exceptional -
- Latreille (7/5): Good - The room layout was weird I hadn't received the email with instructions to get into the room so had to wait on a phone call while someone sorted it out
- Michelle (9/5): Comfortable bed & quiet at night. - There was construction going on during the day that was loud BUT it was SO quiet at night. This work is being done until the end of June during day hours only. (that is what was posted). I was so dang busy during the day that the construction noise during the day didn’t phase me. I was so grateful it was quiet at night. I slept like a log and the bed was very comfortable. This property is really close to the bus stop AND it’s just slightly in the outskirts to not hear all of the music from the main hub of town. Close to the grocery store that I lived too! Would have loved Netflix etc…all I could source was TV channels. A Roku stick would be a great addition.
- Diana (4/5): Very unpleasant experience, stay away. - The only positive aspects of this apartment were its location and cleanliness. It’s situated right in the heart of the village, with easy access to cafés, walking trails, and other amenities.
Unfortunately, the photos were misleading. The bedroom had no windows—something I wasn’t aware of beforehand and found very disappointing. Would not have booked, if I knew this. Additionally, the apartment was much smaller than expected. Our check-in experience was extremely stressful and unpleasant. Please note that they require a deposit, which can only be processed either over the phone or in person at their office—located about 20 minutes away from the apartment. Unfortunately, our international phone number wasn’t accepted by their system, so we were forced to make the drive to the office.
When we finally arrived at the apartment, we were surprised to find a reception desk on-site. This raised the question: if there's staff present, why were we required to call or travel to the office to provide card details?
Things got worse from there. The receptionist, Vikki, was rude and unprofessional. She couldn’t locate our reservation and appeared to have no communication from the office we had just visited. Despite us explaining that we had already received our access codes and information from the office staff, she repeatedly asked for our reservation details. At one point, she even suggested that our booking might be at another location, 10 minutes away.
- Kate (10/5): Simply wonderful - Wonderful space and very well equipped. Would have been nice to have washing machine but there is one in the communal area
- Matthew (6/5): Pleasant - The dishes were dirty and the blankets were stained.
- Constanza (1/5): Bad - Nothing I have a very bad experience with this hotel. First of all when I arrived to the hotel you cant do the check in there, so you need to call to a number and they kept me on the phone for almost half an hour.
Secondly, they sent me a message a few days before asking me to call them and paid a 500 dollar deposit for which they said I would need to give them my credit card details pv
er the phone, which is not appropiate and exaggerated to pay 500 dollars deposit im BC.
in addition, they sent me a message that if I left after 10 am, I would need to pay an extra 250 cad
finally, the hotel DOES NOT have a pool opened, it is under repair, , so they should remove the pictures of the pool. I called them and explained that due to a skin condition that I have I cant go to the hot tub, because the hot water is bad for my skin and that I dont do snowboarding so it is pointless for me to go there withouth the pool advertise in the pictures. I asked them to cancel the reservation as I booked the hotel because of the pool, but they refused.
- Anna (5/5): Disappointing - Hot tub and pool is closed.WiFi wasn’t working for the entire stay. The mattress was quite hard and uncomfortable and the sofa bed was absolutely horrible to sleep on.
The parking lot has tiny spaces and parking is very challenging, on top of that you would need to pay $24 per night.
It’s not a walking distance to the lifts so you would need to shuttle w your gear.
You will need to wash dishes after yourself before check out (by hand, there is no dishwasher).
Positives: the room was quiet and clean.
- Amy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Erin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jennifer (10/5): Exceptional -
- Josephine (9/5): Pleasantly surprised with a comfortable stay - It was clean with towels and bedlinen provided
The kitchenette and parking were big pluses as were the fire place and balcony.
Availability of a gym, and sauna were nice too. Nothing really. The walk to the ski lifts was an acceptable distance
- Rutkin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jessika (9/5): Superb -
- Calvin (9/5): Superb -
- Brontë (5/5): I wouldn’t stay there again - The location was good, with easy access to restaurants, making it a convenient place to stay. While it wasn’t close to the gondola, that wasn’t an issue for us The freezer, spa, and smart TV didn’t work, despite the spa being advertised. Laundry required coins and wasn’t included, which wasn’t made clear beforehand. For a four-night stay, fresh towels were only provided when specifically requested. While the location was a highlight, the overall experience didn’t quite meet expectations.
- Cathy (7/5): Good - Location and view were terrific! The emails were very strong and at times threatening
- Trent (9/5): Superb -
- Maria (8/5): Very good - The location was great, walking distance to the village but in a less busy area. The apartment had everything you may need and the sauna and hot tub were the perfect thing to wrap up the day. I loved the fireplace and little balcony with mountain views! The bed was a little small for two - just a full. But it was comfortable.
- Rabiei (1/5): DO NOT BOOK WITH ELEVATE VACATION if you don’t want your trip ruined! - **Never, ever reserve anything with Elevate Vacation!**
I arrived on January 7th to check in, and they informed me that the hot tub is under maintenance for the entire season, even though the listing stated it was available. This was a last-minute surprise, and I had driven 500 km to get to Whistler, only to end up paying more for that night somewhere else. I spoke to the rental property manager, who claimed it wasn’t their fault and refused to offer any compensation for the inconvenience.
**DO NOT BOOK WITH ELEVATE VACATION if you don’t want your trip ruined!** Wrong information on the listing
- Stephen (8/5): Great location, big rooms, friendly staff, very convenient. Down the quiet end of the village. - You can leave your ski/snowboard equipment at the lodge before and after you check in. There is a small luggage storage room and there is a underground equipment storage room with plenty of space for sports equipment. Check in is at 4pm. Would be nice if it was earlier.
- Lisa (9/5): Great location, good space - Location was great. Lobby in building was really nice. Communication was good. Unit was small, but has everything you need. Additional duvet needed for pullout sofa bed, as well as some sort of cushion/mat for the sofa bed. You could feel all the seams in the sofa bed, and the blanket wasn't warm enough
- Alun (7/5): Room was as described but no pool and spar. Problems with the room deposit which have now been resolved. - central location easy reach of the bus. pool and spar were broken and unavailable
- Muhammad (5/5): Passable - Clean room It would be appreciated if check-in and check-out times were flexible and earlier.
- Nicola (9/5): It snowed ❄️😍 - Great apartment, fully equipped with stunning views. Quiet and peaceful. The hot tub was very welcome after the days skiing. An electric kettle is the only addition I can think of that would make this place totally perfect (for the English tea drinkers amongst us).
- Kit (7/5): Good -
- Jon (7/5): Good - Clean A long walk
- Ruby (8/5): Cozy - Close to the village and restaurants Some of the glassware was dirty and visibly had not been cleaned after the last guest.
- Matthew (10/5): Perfect whistler spot - Lovely accommodation, perfect location and very clean and exactly what we were after!
- Allison (9/5): Superb -
- Amanda (8/5): Very good - would have been nice to know in advance that the hot tub and pool were unavailable (maintenance) as those were key factors in why we chose to stay here.
- Isabella (6/5): Pleasant -
- Jaspreet (9/5): Superb - The property was really nice, comfortable and clean! The views from the balcony and the patio were spectacular. The bedroom didn't had any light or lamp.
- Megan (6/5): Pleasant -
- Galina (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lorraine (10/5): Great apartment in a central location. Loved it. - Central location, lovely apartment, comfortable bed, very well equipped kitchen. Pool and hot tub were closed. Staff not very friendly.
- Bianchi (5/5): Great Location. Awful customer service - Location I arrived on October 12, and during check-in, I was informed that I had to pay an additional $500 security deposit. This requirement was not disclosed in advance, which caused significant inconvenience.
To make matters worse, I had to take a taxi to the Elevate office – located outside downtown Whistler – to pay the deposit, as it could not be processed at the hotel. Elevate later sent me an email stating that the deposit would be refunded upon check-out. However, on the day of departure, I was informed that the refund would actually take an additional 7-10 business days, directly contradicting their previous communication.
Throughout my stay, the communication from both Alpenglow and Elevate was unclear, and the customer service I received was far below expectations. Due to this experience, I will not be returning to the hotel and feel compelled to share my negative experience with others.
- Samantha (8/5): Very good - Balcony
Gas fireplace
Bed was comfortable Very strong odour if bleach upon arrival, from cleaning team. Had to open windows and door to air for an hour or so.
Instructions for coffee grinder and drip filter would be useful for novices.
For a two night stay, additional coffee, tea, sugar and milk would have been appreciated.
- Sandra (9/5): Superb -
- Colleen (10/5): Great couples get away trip, very clean suite in a quiet building. Location is great! - Location was very good - right in the Village. Easy to find, parking on site and very comfortable accommodations. Code system easy to use and elevators from parkade
- Joanne (9/5): Excellent located for a family with great facilities - Location, facilities in the apartment block were great and flat was well stocked with everything you needed. The organic waste hadn’t been emptied. Tv in lounge not working 100% of the time
