Not the staff members but, these guests lacked empathy and consideration towards fellow guests. It would be a good idea to shift the bonfire elsewhere to make it more pleasant.

The best part of the property is the long terrace from where the view of the Kanchenjunga is majestic. Food quality is awesome. The live music is too good. Heritage rooms to the dining hall is a quite a long distance with no lift facilities.

- Subarna (9/5): Best location and comfortable stay near Mall road. - The location is the best, near to Mall road and all facilities. The room had a view of the Kanchenjunga ranges. Breakfast was average. The staff behaviour was alright. The rooms were clean with hot water. Bed sheets were clean. The bed was spring bed, a bit uncomfortable for the back. Breakfast options can be improved.

- Muthusubramanian (10/5): The best vacation stay for our family - We had an amazing stay at summit Swiss heritage. We loved the view, waking up to Kanchenjunga every morning. Also the staff was really friendly and helped us with our 2 year toddler. He really enjoyed the play area upstairs. They arranged a memorable birthday party for him. Even they packed a small breakfast box for our son for our journey back as we checked out early morning. Will definitely keep this hotel as our goto stay point in Darjeeling for our family. Not much. Just the WiFi was a bit weak at times.

Also easy access to the Himalayan Railway was the high point. Guests should be informed about the tourist spots and how to get there through pamphlets. Insufficient light in the bathroom for shaving and other purposes.Also the view from the terrace is outstanding which was not informed to us

- Das (8/5): Perfect stay - Property at very good location. We selected mountain view and it was a magnificent view. Hotel staffs are good. Behinda, Preetika and one more manager was really helpful. Also, last night singer Anmol made the evening more beautiful. He sings really well and we loved it. Only pros was the bathroom was stinky for some reason probably drainage problem but we didn’t raise it as we just had a night stay there. Overall it was a good stay in a beautiful property with a beautiful view.

- Rajarshi (7/5): Charming, old-world - We stayed in the Kanchenjunga cottage, which was quite big. The seating area in front of it offers a nice place to relax and take in the view. The breakfast was good, especially the chicken sausages. We availed the spa as well, and it was good value-for-money! The bathroom in the Kanchenjunga cottage was not exactly great. Including the water flow in the main shower area.
- Nagkiran (1/5): Bad - The property manager Rahul asked for 50% advance on room tariff which was duly paid. Further, before arrival, he asked us to pay the balance 50% too. If this was not suspicious enough, he said that the balance 50% once received will be immediately remitted back to us as this was only for the records. To this, we firmly disagreed since we had not even reached the property and no hotel has agreements like this. Fortunately, we later got the refund of the 50% which was already paid, the same day.

- Soumi (9/5): A fantastic stay and worth every penny. The staff are outstanding and exceptional. Keep it up 👍👍👍👍 - This is truly a heritage hotel. The building is old and give the vibe of the olden times in Darjeeling. What stood out was the behaviour of the staff. we went to this hotel with my aged mother and stayed in the Kanchenjanga suite as there were steps which had to be climbed the staff made it extremely congenial for my mother to do so. The room service was exceptinal so was the breakfast buffet. Whatever and whenever we asked the staff delivered it promptly and gladly. so hopefully will come again to enjoy this hospitality. The water in the taps were a problem as the flow was not too high. But I think that is the problem for Darjeeling itself.

- Nirmalya (8/5): A summit stay to remember with great views of the Kanchenjunga - Views of Kanchenjunga from the heritage terrace garden was magnificent. The view room was equally great. Morning breakfast was excellent. The Spa was excellent. In the deluxe view room, the water flow from the washbasin tap in the bathroom was real slow. It had to be fixed twice during our 2 nights stay. The staff was very quick to react but ideally room number 406 bathroom needs a quality check before being let out.
- Bernhard (4/5): Disappointing - The breakfast buffet was quite good and had a good variety to choose from. Upon arrival I noticed that the floor was still dirty. After complaining a lady dry-cleaned the floor with a spray, but only half the floor and it was still dirty. I had to tell them to properly mop the floor with water, and after telling them for the second time they finally did it. They also had not changed the bedsheets as they were still dirty from the previous guest. On the second to last day, some staff knocked on the door, then without approval after waiting for a few seconds, he just entered into the room, just to say that we have to check out. This was wrong because we booked for another night and he should not just have come in without permission.

Good spacious rooms Little congested as in property is not spread over a very large area. Little things to do in the property. Food was very good but menu was having only few items. No gym in the property and even children playing area is very boring and small. Good for staying if you want to spend entire day outside in roaming around Darjeeling. But if you are looking to spend time inside hotel you then besides SPA nothing much. No swimming pool. After all its not a five star property still I would highly recommend as it is offering impressive value.

Please take the room with Mountain view as it will serve justice to the money spent. They even have Airport Pick up and Drop facility. Nothing in specific. Everything was quite perfect. Per my experience, the room hetaer was good but could have been better.

- Gaurav (7/5): It’s a beautiful resort in a prime location with the view of the Kanchenjunga, lots of food joints in the vicinity makes - The prime location of the property is an advantage considering the fact that Darjeeling is a hill station where one has to do considerable walking to travel around The rooms were definitely spacious with a touch of the colonial era vibes but basics need to be ticked off at the earliest, an exhaust fan is a dire requirement in the Kanchenjunga cottage, barring which the room was perfect

Though we were visiting during a time when it was raining and completely covered with fog...still we found the location and view from the hotel room amazing. We took a family cottage Kanchanjunga. The room was huge, spacious, clean and had all the facilities. The decor of the room and infrastructure of the hotel actually took us back to the British era. They had a beautiful swing for children and a separate play room with many indoor games like chess, carrom and table tennis board. The behaviour of the hotel staff, be it the house keeping or the ones at the dining area were highly commendable and appreciable. They promptly responded to any issues we had and made it a point to make us feel comfortable as fast as possible. We really enjoyed our stay. We had some issues with the bathroom water supply. Thankfully the issues were taken care of by the hotel house keeping staff promptly.

- Abhishek (7/5): Good - Hotel's location is very good. 7 mins walkl down to the railway station. 15 mins walk to mall road and restaurants and markets. For sight seeing Peace Pagoda is close. The staff is very good and courteous especially Awanisha at reception. Food was also good. They make customise non spicy food for kids on request. There should be more focus on cleanliness in rooms and bathrooms. Because it was peak summer season hence the room tariffs were high and I found to be expensive. .

- Veronica (10/5): I would stay here again! - We booked the Deluxe and King Valley. Both were really nice and modern. The beds were super comfy. The deluxe had a better view but the King was bigger. Staff was very friendly! We booked a deep tissue back massage and felt really good, especially after hiking in Singalila National Park. Hot water doesnt last long

The kitchen staff, especially the females, were lovely to.talk to, smiled all the time, and got to know what drink we liked.One if the receptionist arranged for her brother to take us to Tiger Hill and Bagdogra airport at a reasonable price. She also was very kind to ask if there was anything she could do when I was very sick one of the days there. Even though the room details stated no air conditioning, I did expect a bigger and more environmentally friendly heater,not a small fan heater which blew heat on to the floor rather than us. It was exchanged for a larger one, but the electricity it must taken would be ridiculous! Even the staff in the ding room were standing near the heater to keep themselves warm. There was a spare doona in the cupboard,but the cover was torn and looked is if it needed a good wash. The bed sheet was torn like a rag. There were no instructions on how to make the water in the shower hot, then when we did work it out, it was very erratic, going really hot, then really cold when adjusting it. Also, the menu in the restaurant needs to be changed frequently.
- Rhona (3/5): Depressing, disappointing and unacceptable. Left day early and travelled 3 hours to fab hotel. - Nothing, other than apologetic staff. Cheap food but did not want to eat. Everything! From no information given about spa facilities until we asked, had no information leaflets on Darjeeling, not even a map! Paid more for rhodedendrun view room. No flowers on trees at this time of year so view was of derelict building (being worked on all day so noisy and dusty) and road covered in builders rubble bags (see first photo). Cold corridors and rooms with only small old fan heater on floor. Smells from plumbing in bathroom, geyser shown in photo to heat (only luke warm) water (said needed to leave on for half an hour before using, housekeeping minimal eg half a toilet roll on arrival and not replaced when finished or bin emptied. Had to call housekeeping. The room felt and smelt damp and was not warm. Torn sheet on bed not changed in three days. No mattress protector. Needed to have clothes washed but no laundry service as washing machine broken all time there. No surface in bathroom to place toiletries on. Old wiring and soap dish by the shower (see photos). Wardrobe not full length so could not hang much in it. No lounge to sit in evening, and roof terrace was dangerous to access with awful furniture. The heritage spa (which we would not have used as looked dirty and cold) part of hotel is accessed via many steps outside. Not made clear that the rest of the hotel where we were staying is an added extension, and not heritage in style. Walk from town centre is up hill, on narrow very busy road and with no lighting. No criticism of onsite staff who were doing their best and totally without blame. The hotel group should be ashamed of themselves. I stayed in better student accommodation in the 1970s!!

- Esperance (8/5): Good location, very good food and good staff. Good place for bonfires - The location it is very close to mall road… so u can walk it up.. The buffet was very good so many options and every dish was up to the mark…biryani, fish dishes, mutton as well as chaat..dinner buffets were just up to the mark. Hot water was an issue hence quite a disappointment coz we travelled in December so it’s a must needed.
- Shenaya (5/5): Passable - It was at a prime location. With very friendly staff. Heritage rooms were very old. Need to majorly revamp the room. Was not too clean and the wooden floors were making noise.
