• Peter & Corry (7/5): Prijs/kwaliteit een tegenvaller - Ligging van het hotel tussen Malia en Stalis was goed. Zeer goed bed. Geen eigen zwembad. Bij de schoonmaak werden enkel de lakens eraf getrokken en opgevouwen terug op het bed gelegd. Bed opmaken moest je zelf doen. Handdoeken werden maar om 2 a 3 dagen ververst. Kamer slecht 1 keer gedwijld en met de borstel opvegen gebeurde ook nauwelijks. Bij het vertrek van onze dochter die een aantal dagen eerder huiswaarts keerde was het eerst een probleem dat ze voor vertrek nog snel een douche op onze kamer nam. Na overleg met de manager mocht het uiteindelijk toch, maar daar moest een uitzondering voor toegestaan worden.
• Marine (9/5): Une super adresse - 2e séjour dans cet hôtel pour nous, toujours un réceptionniste aussi adorable. Les chambres sont spacieuses, bien équipées. Plusieurs piscines au choix. Un parking pour se garer (ce qui est pratique dans Malia). La nourriture y est toujours excellente. Wifi qui laisse un peu à désirer si vous avez besoin de travailler.

• Eric (8/5): - Nette kamer met erg mooie badkamer Aardig en behulpzaam personeel. Goede service. Vaak schone handdoeken en lakens, zelfs de afwas werd gedaan Uitzicht vanaf balkon was er eigenlijk niet.. Her was relatief gehorig voor geluiden van de gang en naastgelegen restaurant
• Thomas (7/5): - Very well located a little next to the village centre of Malia, but still on the main tourist road with many fine restaurants, bars, supermarkets and souvenir shops. We had the large 4-1/2 room apartment. The size and furnishings, including the shady little seating area, were great. The guest service was also warm and very quick! Cleaning staff were very friendly and organised! Unfortunately, the bathtub shower did not have a curtain. No efforts were made to install this either. That‘s a nogo.

We would especially like to mention Alex at the reception, whose professionalism greatly contributed to making our stay even more pleasant and relaxed. Thank you for the wonderful hospitality! A wider choice of breakfast items would be a great addition.

• Nicola (9/5): We really enjoyed our week at Camelot apartments. A relaxing, restful break away. - The breakfast at the Lokal restaurant adjoinging the accommodation was fantastic. We really enjoyed the buffet breakfast which had plenty of options. The family owners and staff, can I say, were just the loveliest people. I would really like to commend the two brothers who were working there each morning for their warm, friendly greetings each day and we were very impressed by their work ethic as they both seem to work really hard and made great hosts. I am sure their parents are very proud of them. Please pass on these comments, they truly deserve it. Also, I would like to commend Alan, the receptionist, for his extensive information and warm and friendly manner. We could only fault a couple of things with our room. The bathroom shower surround did have some black mould which needs addressing and it would have been helpful to have supplied dishwashing liquid, cloth and a tea towel so that we could wash and dry our dishes inbetween the cleaners coming in each day. Also, an outdoor umbrella over the table as it was in full sun most of the day.

(Supermarket, restaurants, the beach, pharmacy) parking was available and the swimming pool was big with nice sunbeds. Will definitely come back!! Would recommend!

The weather was beautiful which made the stay an even better one, I would 100% return back for another stay, thank you for everything!

• Irina (9/5): Fantastic holiday for a family of five - Great place for a family holiday, we had a room for 5 which is a rare find (single bed and double bed upstairs and 2 sofa beds downstairs). Beautiful sandy beach is 5 mins away. Free wi-fi supported work from home. I thought it was a 3* hotel, but we used all the facilities of 4* Kyknos Beach - big pool with sun loungers, nearly always empty kids pool, great kids club, delicious meals. Cocktails included in all-inclusive. The hotel feels very lovely with many cosy dens to chill out and never felt crowded. Misleading note in the room saying breakfast till 11, but it was till 10, so we missed our first breakfast. I was surprised I couldn't get any pastry or sandwiches for kids at 10.30. Would expect more help from staff. Limited privacy as no room doors upstairs.

Finally, the offered breakfast was very convenient, with a large variety of options to choose from. Will definitely rebook next time on Crete.

• Hanna (6/5): Please make sure that the room available on booking is the one which will be given to the person, who is booking a room. - Nice rooms, and always clean. Not so far from the beach and local restaurants. Food in the restaurant, there is always no one on the reception. The room which we booked was occupied by others during the first 4 days of our stay. The manager told us that the room they gave us was better, however it was far from that, one we finally got the room we booked.

The restaurant which is part of the apartments had amazing food. The pool was really nice and never too crowded. There was a big table in the shade in front of the maisonette that we could use with the other group. The studio was modern and comfortable. - only one room key - nowhere to store safely our luggage at departure The below comment is related only to the maisonette (room 16) NOT the studio which was fine. We were a group of 8 and stayed in two different apartments. The studio near reception, was good but the maisonette in a separate building was really not at all matching the rest of the building or the images on booking. The furniture and walls smelled (mouldy? Musty?) and we couldn’t air it. The furniture was very old, freezer door was not closing and wardrobes were smelly so didn’t feel like putting clothes in them. it didn’t look like anything on the pictures on booking, only the bathroom was renovated. the double bed was tiny, air con upstairs was too laud, two beds were strangely positioned at the entrance of the apartment, no doors to close off any of the bedrooms and there was often laud music from the next door pool until late. The outside table was really good and we loved sitting there but the maisonette really needs renovation.

• Gladys (7/5): Correct for low budget - Location of the hotel Balcony swimming pool - The shower door was broken (absent), which made it difficult to take showers properly. - The entrance door of the room is so thin and not isolated that we could hear everything (cleaners in the morning from 09:00, people of the restaurant and wind making the door vibrating) - there were ants in our studio !!! - no one at the reception to ask for daily stuff - the music of the swimming pool from the other hotel was way too loud, it made us stay inside by two evenings and close the windows as we couldn’t hear each other on the balcony. - air conditioning was working but we couldn’t adjust the settings. So we had to turn it on or off on the electrical panel.
• Adrian (10/5): A well relaxing Holiday - Camelot Royal is a very nice place to enjoy your holiday. The apartment where we stayed was very spacious ,equiped with everything you need. The restaurant of the hotel serves a lot of delicious foods, well seasoned, it is definitely a must. The hotel staff are always there to help, very kind and friendly. Very healthy breakfast choices, always fresh, a lot o varieties. Would 100% recommend staying here.
