- Angeline (6/5): Okay for overnight stay only - The staff are the primary asset of the property! So welcoming and friendly, made a huge difference to the stay. Also, the 2 bedroom apartment was very spacious and relatively clean for the price point. - no elevator making it hard to get up and downstairs. - the lock on the front door was loose. Also, the door doesn’t shut properly on its own. Need to give it a good shove to close it. - the property had a weird odour throughout that lingered unless we kept the aircon on. Also, poor ventilation and lighting. - the hotel is above a casino so it was worrisome at night. There were cops in the carpark taking a report as someone had their car broken into. - shower head was broken. Overall the property needs to be refurbished.

- Nicole (4/5): Simple, clean, not a convenient area. - Rooms were simple & clean. Update the profile STAT, the pub looks to have been in ‘renovation’ stage for quite some time…no bistro or food available. Room service menus still in rooms, with absolutely zero mention of a closed down kitchen. Poor staff member was manning a busy TAB/pokies/bar area & the accomodation check ins by herself ~ customers in the bar were disgruntled whilst waiting for her to check us in.

- Rainey (8/5): It was not bad for a one night stay for an early international flight. - The staff was friendly, helpful and attentive. The night was noisy due to a pub downstairs with pokies. The area felt unsafe as we spotted a few dodgy people with hoods on roaming outside the hotel.

- Marilyn (7/5): - There wasn’t a lot we liked. Nice hot showers and a comfy bed. This hotel is a very basic room above a gaming casino. It had a locked door that you had to enter to get to your room. The rooms are on the second floor with no elevator. No handicap accessible. It was fine for a one night stay that was close to the airport. We flew out the next morning. It was an unusual setup that left us feeling uneasy but we were fine in the end. The casino closes at 4 am and no one is on the grounds from 4am to 10 am. If you checked out between those hours you had to use a back stairwell to leave the building. No elevator for luggage hauling.

Our car also got broken into in the carpark with no CCTV as it’s a false sign. Hotel staff were really good and understanding, we got a refund for some of our stay.

- Phuong Lien (9/5): I like my stay in St. Albans Hotel very much. - The bed is very comfortable, I slept well, the shower is very strong and I liked it very much. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. You are served with 2 free of drink inluded beer and soft drink for your stay. The location is great, it just 3 minutes walk to St. Albans station and very convinient to the restaurants and shops arounds. There are many Vietnamese restaurants there too. If you have a car, this hotel is strongly recommend as the car park is very large.

- Theresa (4/5): Not a 3 Star property. Would not recommend. - Bed was comfortable. Location worked for us. Rooms located over poker machine and gambling establishment. Coffee not available until after 10:00 am. Front door was not accessible until after 10:00 am. Most days we had to use the fire escape doors to exit the building. Housekeeping entered our room when do not disturb sign was hung on our door. Shower wasn’t free of mold. Spots of mold were all around shower base. No trash can in bathroom.

It seems one poor lady was having to do everything from reception to serving at the bar and serving in the restaurant. Must have been a staff shortage.

We were exhausted and I was expecting a horrible sleep in a hard bed which you find with most accommodation. The bed in our room was extremely comfortable. A great sleep between long interconnecting flights was amazing. We had trouble with our TV but it was fixed as soon as we told them. Great service. Would definately stay again.
