• Kenneth (10/5): Overnight getaway - This was our third stay here, everything was great as our previous stays. Clean room, comfortable bed, enjoy the area in the rear yard behind the rooms. Will stay again next year!
• Debra (10/5): Great overnight stay - Great overnight stay on our way to northern Michigan. We loved that we were able to park in front our room. Our room was so comfortable and clean. Comfortable bed, clean bathroom. It is a small room, but there was plenty of room to put bags for overnight. Loved the coffee maker, bottled water, and even a couple bags of snacks. It was nice and quiet. The door to the beautiful patio was through the bathroom and easy to access. There was a continental breakfast, muffins, bagels, coffee, the usual for a quick grab and go. We would definitely stay again should we visit again.
• Cynthia (10/5): Nice simple place to stay - Neat and tidy but would suggest paper towels and disinfectant for tables in breakfast room for personal use since room is not monitored. Definitely a basic stay which met our needs perfectly.

• Patti (4/5): - Ths was the smallest room i have ever stayed in! There were no luggage stands to place suitcases. We had to open them on the floor and use them from their. The room lacked hooks to hang towels, clothes, toiletries bags, etc. The motel is located right on the Blue Star Highway, so the road noise was evident. The place was not staffed, so there was no one there to ask questions, request an upgrade, get more tissues, etc. The "continental breakfast" was a joke. Cheerios or Raisin Bran, milk, toast, and high fructose "juice" drinks. No hard boiled eggs, no fruit, no danishes, no decaf coffee, (which really pissed me off). We paid $120 per night for 2 nights here and it was way over-priced! This is a $75 per night motel. Will not go back and do not recommend.
• Kelly (10/5): - The back deck was beautiful however the landscape was very poor. We didn't have an opportunity to use the hot tub due to it closing so early. Our room was VERY clean. They are small but we didn't plan on spending time in the room. We were gone all day wining and dining. We would definitely stay again.
• Cathy (10/5): - We had a great time during our short stay. Nice back porch and yard. Sat by the fire ring both evenings. On second evening, four couples arrived and had a small concert in the gazebo. So much fun!!!!!

Also, the hot tub and fire pit were awesome! We enjoyed all the amenities while being so close to downtown Sagatuck and Douglas, which means endless shopping, wine, art and restaurants! Stay here!

The room was tiny but not unexpected because of the mid century vibe. Nicely remodeled keeping that feel. Bed comfy, ac worked great, breakfast was adequate. A little pricey, but considering the overall inflated prices for the area, not too bad.

• jolynn (10/5): - This property was fantastic. It looked a bit like an old fashioned "Mom & Pop Motel" but those pictures didn't do it justice. I think the pictures have been updated since we booked. The room was actually almost a suite as it had a sitting room complete with a sofa, lamps and tables, and a TV. A rather small bathroom was in the hall that joined the bedroom. This was also nicely furnished and had a TV. The back door opened onto a covered porch with chairs and a small table. The yard featured a fire pit,, covered pavilion, hot tub, and even a gas grill. We received a text that our room was ready shortly after 11AM, with detailed information about accessing the room. While we never saw any employees on the site it was definitely well looked after. We were able to walk to several places to eat and the surrounding area was nice. We would stay there again and recommend it to anyone looking fro accommodations in this area.

Only suggestions is to jazz up the breakfast, even day old pastries would be better than food wrapped in plastic. We will come back for sure!

Only input this time is that it’s time to update the livens. The sheets are almost see through and the towels are pretty thin and rough. Easy fix. Otherwise looks like they have painted recently and made other updates. Still a great place to stay and I will recommend and will try again

Only thing was the “continental” breakfast was only some plastic wrapped items & coffee dispenser, so I would’ve loved to see more options since the nightly rate was still pretty high. I’d love to stay here in the summer, though, and take advantage of the outdoor amenities.

• P. (8/5): - Reasonably priced and clean. This is a small motel walking distance to little downtown Douglas and a short drive to Saugatuck and also to Oval Beach. The furnishings are new and the place given a fresh coat of paint. Only negative is the size of the room but fine for our 2 night stay. A very reasonable alternative to some of the expensive places in the area.
• Mark (10/5): Amazingly Nice and Clean - I was concerned about the automated check-in but it worked out just fine. The room was amazing, wonderfully clean and comfortable. There weren't many frills but it was a very pleasant stay.

• Thomas (10/5): Blue star motel Douglas - I got an email to check in a half hour earlier t he an I planned to. I used the code on the door and found the room very clean and warm. They had a hot tub which I did not use plus a breakfast nook. They only had cereal, bagels, muffins and sweet rolls to eat. It was enough for me. I loved the TV and the comfortable bed. It was a great place away from home.

• Kennth (10/5): Fall Getaway - Check in was easy, room was small, but clean with everything we needed. Nice little patio and deck area in back of facility. Our only complaint was no staff on site, just a number to call if there were any issues. Ice machine had no ice, first thing in the morning, and no staff available for assistance. Other than that, we were pleased with our stay.
