The swimming pool was clean and spacious. There were several TV channels I liked: BBC, CNN, movie channels. I asked for a floor fan and was given one straight away. The reception staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. I would have preferred a buffet breakfast but understand why buffet breakfast was impossible on week days.

Despite it was right there across the street, we have to go very far for just a little beach... I guess this is the problem of the city, not the hotel.

The hotel is right opposite a beautiful beach so no complaints there. interiors are little dated but rooms are clean and big. The Hotel is little far away from the restaurants and pubs, be prepared to walk if you are looking for an option of eating out. Faced slight language challenge with the staff but had google translate to the rescue.

Konstantin (8/5): In general, all good and very good. - Staff is good, room cleaning is good, hotel location is near to the see. It will be better if breakfast variety will be bigger.

Peter (4/5): Wish we had known about Mercure Hotel at Pineapple Beach. - Two good things we can say about our room: the air conditioning is good and the smart TV so you can get Netflix. Location is OK, in the busy part of Back Beach. Not a 4 star experience that is for sure. Just found a dead roach on the night stand when we got back from lunch after they had cleaned the room. The hotel is across the street from Back Beach but the windows are so dirty you can barely see the ocean. They will not clean the windows because it is not yet time for it. Breakfast was so so although the fruit spread was good. The lighting in the bathroom is odd, looking in the mirror your face is in the dark because the single ceiling light is behind you. The only available plugs in the room is under the built-in nightstand so you have to crawl underneath to charge your devices. We took showers and used the towels so we asked for new ones for the morning. Housekeeping insisted on getting the old towels in exchange.

Ollie (8/5): Very good - Nice big room, decor was a little dated, needs updating. Some loose light fittings. Gym was closed and had to access the swimming pool from the front of the hotel.

Stafford (5/5): Paid a lot of money for an ocean view room which was great, but didn't get a refund for no buffet. - Ocean view and the bed No customers, no buffet, Same as New Wave Hotel...should be called the old Wave
