Guest Reviews
- James (6/5): - TV only worked on one channel...totally worthless. Wi-fi slow and spotty. Not a bad value for the low price, if you want nothing more than a clean bed and a hot shower.
- Tessa (2/5): - Infested with bed bugs. Left immediately and notified the staff and they weren’t surprised when we told them they had bed bugs. They simply said ok you’ll get a full refund.
- Nola (4/5): - Hard to communicate with staff at check in, he spoke very little English. Old motel that needs lots of renovations.
- Fred (10/5): - Everything was clean had a small coffee pot microwave and ice box just worked great for me
- cory (8/5): - I only got to take 1 hot shower this stay last week, I had no water pressure. Go to the best western up the road if you can!
- Brian (2/5): - Mexican food next door
- Verified traveler (4/5): Don't stay here - No one spoke a bit of English at checkin. He had to call and put on speaker phone. Then he tried running our credit card about 5-6 times and locked our credit card. Ended up using a different card. He couldn't figure out the machine. Room was sketchy. Queen beds were actually full beds.
- Larry (4/5): - Poor mangment
- Becky (2/5): - Tried to check in but they had no rooms available even though we had a room reserved
- Dale (2/5): - I confirmed with expedia and gave my credit card, i arrived at midnight and was told they cancelled it with expedia in the morning. My reserved room was given away so i had to hit the road and find another motel in rural kansas after midnight
- Gregory (10/5): Nice, friendly and clean - Nice, friendly and clean older motel.
- Ray (2/5): - They didnt even have a room avaliable
- Rita (10/5): - We were in town to attend Brown's Spring Fling Auction, and the Inn was next door to the auction house. Totally Convenient!! The Staff was very Friendly, Helpful and very Curtious ! We were even upgraded to a double room upon arrival. We will stay there. Again. Thank You to the Staff at the Greensburg Inn,Sincerely Rita Behrens
- Michael (6/5): - Tv didn’t work. I was also charged full price due to the discount code not being sent to the Inn. Friendly service, but room was sub standard.
- Cindy (10/5): Good place to rest your head - This is an older motel, was clean and comfortable. The person at check in was nice and did check in with us that the room was would work for our family.
- Victoria (10/5): - A great little stop ever on our way East. Clean, comfortable, and affordable. Definitely recommend!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - A clean hotel with a reasonable price
- Jerri (6/5): - I checked in at the front desk on time which they acknowledged. The price charged was more than the online price booked. Unfortunately they ran my card before telling me the price. I objected then showed my online info. They did credit my card the difference. I didn’t understand their reason for this mistake.
She did say sorry.
- CINDY (6/5): - Bathroom needed painting, and Heater would not
- Sara (10/5): - Great motel for a quick stay. Clean and quiet.
- Jim (2/5): - Okay, I know for $61/night not to expect much and this review is not based on that. To begin, my total price on Hotels.com was $61.54. I was charged $81.54! I am outraged and will NEVER recommend this type of establishment to anyone for their tactics and Hotels.com should remove their listing. For that price I should have driven a few more blocks to a much better hotel. Now, to the room…the electrical problems are very concerning. The first light switch only worked when positioned halfway and then the lights flickered and flashed on and off. The table lamp also did the same. The beds were terrible, the toilet barely flushed. They did have a single cup coffee pot available (with a couple single cup envelopes of coffee) but there is no way I would even think about using the styrofoam cups that were there as they were unwrapped and not hygienic to use. For all I know they were previously used to dip water from the toilet bowl. Do not stay in this roach motel, you would be better off to save your money and sleep in your car or a park bench! Hotels.com: remove this listing!
- James (8/5): - It was close to where I had to travel for the day. They were accommodating. i thought the prices were a bit high.
- Daniel (8/5): - Simple, no frills, budget friendly out on the Great Plains.
- Alan (2/5): - Dirty, old, stinky, no hot water. Needs to be bulldozed and left a bare lot.
- RANDALL (6/5): - The staff was extremely courteous and helpful, though our needs were limited. We had reserved a king-sized bed via an outside service, so maybe that was a bad idea, because they didn't have one. We ended up in a room with three double beds, a cramped bathroom, and an odd configuration. The refrigerator was a nice plus, but it hummed loudly, and there were odd noises from the infrastructure at random intervals.
For an overnight place to sleep and clean up from a long day on the road, it was okay, but there were no amenities beyond a plastic sleeve of conditioning shampoo and a refrigerator — not even a bar of soap.
The room was quite clean and neatly dressed. The property is kind of bleak, on the outskirts of town and looking very much like a 1950s motel without the charm. It's a short drive or a long walk to stores and restaurants.
Overall: high marks for service and courtesy, low marks for the property and room comfort.
- Doug (2/5): - Wi-Fi was not strong enough for me to do my work on my laptop. Room was filthy. No ice the people there did not speak English so they had to keep calling someone else all in all not a good experience at all. I don’t even know why do you have the money Ridiculous
- Rickey (8/5): - The A/C wasn't on in 100 degree weather
- Charles (4/5): - Manager called at 6pm to cancel because of room flooded and carpeting soaked. Had too make other accomodations.
- Spencer (4/5): - I paid for the room on Expedia. When I checked in the clerk told me that was just a holding fee and that he would need to use my card to charge $95 on top of what I had already paid on Expedia. I explained to him several times that I'd already paid for the room and he kept saying I was wrong. When I brought out my phone to show him the confirmation email he immediately changed his tune and just gave me the key and was no longer so insistent on getting my card in his hand. Shady, Shady.
- Brenton (2/5): - The property manager tried to upcharge us $30 from the posted rate here. Very shady. Be warned. Also the internet didn't work.
- Dannie (10/5): - Nice quiet place
- Judith (4/5): - This was ok for one night but was not as it seems in the picture.
- anita (10/5): best one this trip - of the 5 hotels we used on this trip, this was the best. Besides being the cheapest, it was also the quietest and most comfortable.
Not five stars because there were 2 small bugs, easily killed with husband's shoe.
- Vivienne (8/5): - This motel is one of 2 in town. I chose it because of earlier reviews and I do have to say it was very convenient having my car right by the door. Traveling with pets can be frustrating when you have food, the pets, your stuff, water bowls, etc. to bring into the room. Super convenient and large room, right across the street from a large park. It's not fancy, but clean.
- raisa (4/5): - Not worth 70$. Originally was 49 but they changed 70
- Paula (8/5): Clean stop - Just stopped for a night.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Good for a cheap not, but not good for a stay - The toilet leaked, the table and chairs were old and rickety, the faucet leaked, the heater didn't warm the room, the sheets and blanket were thinand the carpet around the bed platform was coming off causing one to trip over it. There were peope in the parking lot smoking, grilling off their truck tailgates and drinking beer. The trucks noise from the highway could be heard.
- Rebekah (2/5): Freezing cold room, cold customrt service - It was not worth it. The location is the only good thing about it. heater didnt work and it got to 25 degrees at night.
- Larry (2/5): - We did not stay there. It is horrible
- charles (6/5): - Hole in the wall no phone very noisy from traffic
- Jim (8/5): - easy to get in and out. nice rooms
- Verified traveler (6/5): - You can tell it’s an old building .
- Diane (6/5): - The beds were very comfy. It was quiet.
The walls in the unit were very dirty.
The toilet ran all night.
Crickets and ants in the room
- Christine (6/5): - Room furnishings were older. Lots of flies in the room. Staff at desk was nice and helpful though. Sheets smelled faintly of bleach so made me feel better that they were clean.
- Kelli (6/5): - Ok for an overnight but pretty run down and outdated. Friendly staff.
- Anthony (6/5): - Guy at the front desk was great but the place is kind of dumpy and the room had a lot of flies and other bugs in it plus sign of dirt and maybe old blood on the sheets.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great stopover place - Very helpful
- David (2/5): Get what you pay for. - Set my expectations very low due to the price and the expectations were met. Booked a king size bed but was told upon arrival that all they had was a single queen (still the same price). After driving until 1am I didn’t really have any other options I just needed a comfortable bed for a few hours. The bed looked smaller than a queen was one of the most uncomfortable beds we have slept in. It was lumpy and sagged towards the middle. Needless to say we didn’t get a lot of sleep. Room was in poor condition. Trim was off, it was missing an outlet cover, floor was stained. Get what you pay for.
- Bruce (2/5): - Staff was nice but room was dirty smelled like cigarettes trash in room live brown recluse spider in bathroom found 3 in the bed dead maggots and the list goes on air conditioning did not work worse experience ever we should have gotten our money back but 14 hours of driving I had to rest I have photos
- Verified traveler (4/5): - The toilet was overflowing
The parking lot was loaded with trucks
Hard to maneuver
The condition of the unit was worn
- Phillip (8/5): - The price was very good
- Stephan (4/5): -
There was no smoke detector in the room just the wiring, the Frigidaire was a block of ice .I defrosted it with my blow dryer. The exhaust fan cover in the bathroom was hanging down. The whole facility needs to be upgraded>
- Scott (4/5): - I booked a king size bed. Said they were out. Said he'd give me a dbl for the same rate. Charged me 5.00 more.
The wall heater is way to loud. Kicks on and off every ten minutes. I even turned the heat down to 60. Still the same. I'm going to back in the area a few more times. I won't be back.
- Linda (10/5): - The Greensburg Inn was a convenient place to stop during a long road trip. It was a nice clean place with friendly staff.
- James (8/5): - it was clean and easy to move around. Needs to have more soap and water pressure.
- Stan (2/5): - Should not be on your site
- Herman (8/5): - It wasent bad at all for the price
- kathie (4/5): - The room was ok but the bathroom was pathetic!
- Anthony (4/5): - Low quality!
- Steve (6/5): - It was okay for a one night stay. Rooms are large but very dated & in need of upgrades. Bathroom needs better lighting & place to hang clothes. It was large but just had a small sink with no vanity area. This could be a nice motel if a little money was put into it.
- Zaria (8/5): - The room was nice and spacious. It actually had 3 queen beds so you could potentially shelter 6 adults. The beds were comfortable and the A/C worked excellently to stave off the humidity. The hotel was safe for a single mom traveling with children.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - This was an extremely pleasant stay. The lady working at the inn while I stayed was extremely nice. For the price this is a very good value stay. The place is pretty clean (couple corners needed work, but nothing to worry about at all). The room even had a smart TV and parking was convenient. Very cute little place that I'd absolutely stay in again if I'm ever passing through again.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Rooms are clean price is great. Bed a bit firm for me.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - We got good service and friendly POC staff. No wifi that we were informed of, the property is old and things were a little dingey, broken curtain, but the AC worked, linens were clean, room had fridge and microwave and TV.
- Rick (8/5): - Def ‘no frills’ but clean, easily accessible, friendly and efficient service
- Richard (8/5): Convenient stay - It was good for one night stay
- Pamela (6/5): - It's just an old motel, not bad
- Verified traveler (2/5): You get what you pay for, very little - First night, no trash can, no filter basket in coffee maker and GFI plug in bathroom was painted over and unusable. And speaking of painting, obviously there was absolutely no pride of workmanship in who ever painted this room.
Second night, replacement coffee make leaks water all over the counter.
Third day, realize someone else’s food contain had been sitting in the back of the refrigerator since I got there.
I will never stay here again!
- Michael (8/5): - Nice room for the price. Would stay again.
- Thomas (2/5): Go anywhere else - This place is a dump. Pictures are deceptive. There's not enough clorox and lysol in kansas. The one place in town that should been destroyed by the tornado but wasn't.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Ehhh. Just average - I booked queen and got double beds. The tv's in my room and the other couple I was traveling with didnt work. The clerk on duty was friendly.
- CAROL (10/5): A real gem - This was a real treat. It was pouring rain and during the early days of this pandemic. We were welcomed and all our needs were met. There is also a great space museum nearby....not to be missed if you have a few spare hours.
- Steve (4/5): - Ice maker didn’t work Room wasold and run down Wi-Fi was slow
- Tina (10/5): - The only issue we came across was the water would not get ice cold (to give our dogs water) and the ice machine was not working. Other than those two things, this room was perfect for our trip. We just needed somewhere clean, comfortable, with ice cold A/C, and dog friendly to sleep while we were in town visiting family. This place was perfect for that. We will be back again next year.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The room was fine.
