Guest Reviews
- Michael (6/5): Wine Country RV Resort - We booked a Chalet and a Cottage. The facility canceled one of the reservations the day before we were expected to arrive. Others in our group had the same experience. The resort is quite small, compared to others to which we've been. There really is no room to park a vehicle at either the cottages or the chalets without parking in the road or having part of your vehicle sticking out into the road. The staff is very friendly and actually sorted out all of our problems with reservations, but they are difficult to contact via telephone. The chalets are very nice with plenty of room inside. They have full-size refrigerators, a living area, small dining room and kitchen, as well as a loft for a coupe of kids. The cottages are exceedingly small, even for two people. The room is big enough to hold a queen bed and just enough room to walk around it, as well as a more spacious bathroom. There is also a small under cabinet refrigerator and a sink in the bedroom. The RV sites are small, and two fit nose to butt in sites where at other resorts would only hold one. The clubhouse is quite nice if you are traveling with a group. Very spacious kitchen with full-sized refrigerator, two ovens, microwave and stove. Reserve in advance. There is also a large BBQ and a fire pit on site near the clubhouse. The water park across the street was popular with the kids and some of the adults. After 3 PM it offers half-priced admission.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Nice accommodations and close to wineries and downtown Paso Robles
- Robert (8/5): Great stay with one caveat - This is a great place to stay for several reasons. We stayed in the cabin units. They are well designed and comfortable. They have beds for 4 plus a pull out bed. Its a great location, close to several wineries and not far from downtown. We did have a minor issue that we resolved but the manner in which is was resolved was frustrating. The shower couldnt be turned on. I asked them to resolve this and was met with a "we have no plumber today" followed by a "you need to be there to let the plumber in". I take exception to both. If you are going to rent cabins, you need the ability to resolve the problems with those cabins. Waiting two days to shower or moving are just unacceptable answers. Also, me spending my vacation waiting for your plumber to fix your unit is the most ridiculous thing I have heard anyplace expect a guest to do. Ultimately it went to the manager and they called me with a "plumber will be there between 1-3". They then called me again and I simply ignored the call knowing they wouldn't send the plumber home if I wasnt there. My assumption was correct, they fixed it and all was fine. It was just the approach and lack of customer service skill that was frustrating. Otherwise a nice stay.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Family oriented. Very clean and nice amenities. The only problem was my daughter's area in the loft had some "pincher bugs" at least four, one was alive. So then she refused to sleep there. Fortunately we had the sleeper sofa to use.
- Kenny (8/5): Pretty nice quick getaway from SF Bay Area - Pro's:
- Good place to stay for a day trip to Hearst Castle.
- Sweet cottage / cabin feel
- Great for families
- Pool and water was super clean
Cons:
- Majority of the cable channels on the TV were working
- Free Wi-Fi - could not do much at all with it
- Game room was closed during our stay
- Jeffrey (10/5): Wine country - Extremely comfortable and convenient to a class my wife was taking.
- llo (6/5): - We have stayed at this property before, both in an RV site and in a cottage and like it very much. This time we stayed in a new small cottage. Paid almost the same price for a very small cottage as we did for one of the larger ones a couple of years ago. Understand prices go up, however too much money for basically a small hotel room we could not share the expenses on and had to clean myself. Also, I was contacted a couple of weeks before by phone to prepay for expedited check-in. When we showed up still had to go in and do paperwork. Overall a lovely RV park with cute cottages, but price is too high now.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - We stayed four nights in a cottage. It was well stocked and was a nice size for me and my husband. It had a loft but we didn't use it. It was nice to have a home base from wine tasting. We had some trouble with our TV searching for channels but the stormy weather probably had something to do with that.
- Edgar (8/5): Nice Place in the Midle of Paso Robles. - Very nice place to stay the only cons its you have to clean everything before you leave and no room service .
- John (10/5): Perfect - Wonderful pace to stay in Paso much better than a hotel. Will definitely stay here our next trip to Paso
- Lonnie (10/5): Enjoyable Stay - It was great to be able to stay in a cottage where all our friends were staying in their RVs! Nice to have the opportunity to be that close instead of a hotel outside of the resort.
- Ricardo (10/5): Awesome getaway - It was awesome! The place was super nice and the loft for the kids was great! Would for sure stay there again!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great family vacation - Great location. Wine tasting and the water park.
- Susan Rene (10/5): Great family vacation for a single mom - We stayed in a cottage. It was very nice. The kids loved the pool and the game room.
