Guest Reviews
- Allen (2/5): - Had truck parking
- Roxine (10/5): - We arrived a bit late, but hotel check in was fast and easy. Room was clean, beds comfy. We used the Bbq and cooked our supper. Excellent stay. 😎
- Patricia (10/5): - Nice property, good staff that was very accommodating, good amenities. Perfect for our overnight travel needs but would be a nice longer term stay. We’d book again anytime in the area.
- Curtis (10/5): - Had a full size fridge and grate air conditioning
- James (10/5): - Very friendly. The restaurant next door is wonderful. Everything is home made and the family very friendly. Will definitely return. Looks like a German village. Something different from the average hotel
..
- Wesley (10/5): - Location.
- Bernhard (8/5): - Good place to stay and rest up if your driving Route 1 across Canada. Also if you have time a trip east down the road to "Hells Gate", only 15 minutes , is a very big must visit and stay there for about 2/3 hours to take it all in. We certainly enjoyed it. Hard sell over !!!!
- Dave (6/5): - it's a good location on my route to Vancouver. staying there means i only have an other couple of hours of driving to do. the rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. i've stayed here b4 and that's another reason for staying here again. it's a good place.
- Sheryll (8/5): - This motel was older, but clean, quiet and comfortable. The room was spacious and included a kitchenette.
There was room for my Dad to park his 31 foot RV at no extra charge. There is a restaurant on or near the property, with friendly staff and decent food.
I was never able to connect to the motel's wifi, got a message to the effect that it was out of space for further subscriptions (both in the evening and at 6:00 a.m. the following day).
If Internet access isn't an issue, this motel offers good value for money. I would stay here again.
- AP (2/5): - Dirty washroom, towels and kitchen utensils even the beddings seemed to be dirty
- Island (2/5): - Dirty, poor service, outdated, not helpful service, cigarette smoke gets in all the rooms because ashtrays placed right outside. Disgusting.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The tv kept going in and out on certain channels. They also have a sign outside their office that says they accept American Express, but they don’t.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - We had everything we needed for an overnight stay, The kitchen unit was had what was needed to make breakfast before getting back on the road,
- Robert (8/5): Canyon Alpine Motel. - A bit in need of modernisation. Pleasant spot, slightly isolated for a choice of shops and restaurants. Not cheap.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - From outside the property looks lovely. Inside is a different story. The smell inside the room was awful
Though, they were aware that there will be 4 people, we had only 2 towels
Every time we would turn in be bed, the mattress pad would move and make grooves
The wifi stopped working at 10:00 pm when asked the reception as to why we were told we reached our maximum. They gave us a new password the next day. All in all perhaps I had higher expectations
- Verified traveler (4/5): - My room was not completely cleaned properly (water bottle was under the bed, saw hair on bathtub, the beds were very uncomfortable, we didn't like the mattress at all.
- Chad (8/5): Good stop over - Neat area, restaurant was good. We were in area prospecting so worked it well location wise.
Thanks
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Clean ,friendly staff,a excellent restaurant ,property well maintained
- Ken (6/5): Boston bar stay - We got in late and front desk did not have our reservation they had to search for it and really just give us a room but fir the most the guy was ok. Rooms where clean and all the things we needed. It work for us as we where just looking for a room to sleep in. Restaurant next door is good homemade food friendly service but in the high side for price which I can understand being so remote.
- Mark (8/5): - Staff were great in accommodating us and our puppy.
- Darlene (6/5): - They have one room that is pet friendly, charging $10 extra, as is common. You should request it with your reservation. Luckily it was available when we got there.
Has wifi, fridge and tiny coffee maker.
- Laura (8/5): Comfort at a reasonable price - Canyon Alpine Motel is a great hotel for your basic needs and comfort. The bed was comfortable, the room clean. The owners were very nice and accomodating. There is a coffee maker and fridge in the room. Table and chairs outside your room. Nice for meeting fellow travelers. Beautiful flower beds.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - This motel was a place that made us smile immediately. The managers were extremely kind, social, accommodating, and made us feel very cared for. The grounds were adorable and modeled any little town you’d see in Germany, Austria, or Switzerland. Edelweiss adorned all the buildings. Loved our stay!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Well-located, nice to have a restaurant right there, food was pleasing, parking ample, close to Hell's Gate Tram. Management was very friendly and courteous for the check-in. Just dropped the key through the mail slot for check-out. Very convenient.
- Mak (8/5): - Very nice quiet location...
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Comfortable room with kitchenette. Nothing fancy, but I would stay here again.
- Steven (4/5): - Wifi stopped at 10 pm, 1minute and 15 seconds for hot water to make it to shower.
- Angela (10/5): - A sweet little motel that suited us down to the ground. Very friendly, welcoming owner and a great family run restaurant across the parking lot. We were delighted with our time in both the motel and the restaurant. This is not a glitzy, modern place to stay, or to eat, but we found everything charming and would definitely recommend staying here if you want to experience something quite unique.
- Andrew (8/5): - All we wanted was a convenient place to stay for 1 night. This place is convenient , just off the highway. The rooms are spacious, comfortable with big beds. All the things you need apart from a hair drier, but the manager/owner lent my partner her drier to use...thanks very nice touch. The staff are super friendly and could not do enough to help. There is a restaurant close by(which is for sale).
Shops/gas station not too far away
We would recommend this place and will certainly use it again when we are in that area.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Lovely great location for passing through fantastic service ..
- Robert (8/5): - The bed was amazing, I slept 10 hours which I never do. It was also very clean
- Susanne (8/5): - Registerimg went smoothly and quickly. The owner was the one who registered me and she was friendly and nice.
I found it to be a restful place to stay, it's up and back a bit from the highway, but i never heard traffic.
My kitchenette was fully stocked with everything i could need to prepare and eat a meal. Except for food of course. However there was a coffee maker with a packet of coffee that held two cups. There was also a kettle to boil water for tea. Tea is not provided however. It's bring your own.
There's also a microwave and flat screen tv with good reception.
- Joel (8/5): - Room was very nice; pillows were way too hard and very uncomfortable
- Anita (6/5): Ok for sleeping. - Fine if you just need rest. Appliances are old. Stove and coffee pot burners were filthy. If looking for non slip bath mat look under the bathroom sink.
- Fran (8/5): older style but clean and some reburshing done - friendly and helpful. A little disorganized. Had to move rooms after they found our reservation
- Phil (10/5): It’s in a nice setting trees and all. - Good all around.
The restaurant next door serves very good home made food and the owner is a good person.
- Debbie (10/5): This is very quaint, rustic, exquisite & scenic. - Very nice family run motel in a very picturesque location. A throw back from the good old days of travelling where you could actually stop and rest, away from the hustle and bustle of the big brand name hotels now. The people couldn't be more friendly or more helpful. Excellent location, half way through the canyon and the best spot to stay at from Kamloops to Hope along the #1 highway. Several times we were asked how we are doing and if there is anything we needed. It's refreshing to see that all the "Good Home Town Atmosphere" has not disappeared from the countryside. Thank you so much for a very enjoyable stay.
- Nancylura (6/5): Basic but bed was comfortable and clean. - Checking in was a bit confusing, she hadn’t received our confirmation email but luckily she had a room available and honoured the price I was quoted. It’s definitely dated but it was quiet and clean and very affordable. We would stay here again.
- Dave (10/5): - great views, nice picnic areas
- Verified traveler (10/5): Nice place to stay - Nice place and nice people there helpful . There doing some up grades
- Verified traveler (10/5): Simple homely stay - The front desk lady was exceptionally nice upon check in and even gave us some recommendations on nearby places. We got the kettle upon request although it was getting late at night. Hotel was no frills but enough for a good night’s rest before continuing our journey to Hope.
- Donna (8/5): Nice, clean, friendly hotel - Staff very friendly and attentive. Clean, quiet comfortable rooms. Lots of choices of close restaurants which serve excellent food. Right off highway so easy access for sight seeing.
- roderick (6/5): - Located north of Boston Bar BC this is a small area consisting of a restaurant operated by the same people for decades, R.V park and this motel, grounds are maintained, exterior of the units are clean and the rooms are fine but bathrooms fixtures are outdated but clean
- Verified traveler (8/5): Comfortable stay - The rooms were basic and clean. Receptionist (owner?) was very helpful and kind.
- JP (10/5): - The woman at the front desk was really nice. The room was really nice and I really like the kitchen facility.
- Stephanie (4/5): Not worth it - Would not recommend this place to anyone passing through the area. Very dirty, bed quite uncomfortable, and water didn't run hot.
- lucas (10/5): Probably gonna stay again - Went to see my inherited property just outside of town from here was very well kept has Internet cable tv AC everything you need plus the food at the restaurant was amazing
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Lovely spot, friendly staff, best rice krispie squares ever, available in the restaurant
- jill (4/5): Typical road side hotel. Old but clean. - It was an ok place to stay. There is not much to pick from along that road and it looked better than the rest. Room is old style but clean. Staff was friendly and recommended we go see hells gate which was a really cool site. The hotel was quite busy and it was nice to be able to buy snacks at the restaurant/store. Would stop there again if I was needing a room along that stretch of highway. That's all I have to say
