- V707IFhelene (10/5): Homely, friendly hotel in Dhaka - Very friendly and comfortable hotel. The breakfast is really good, and mix of dhal and curries, as well as toast and pastries. The coffee is good too... Which means they really should get bigger cups! The staff were so helpful, especially Mohmod, Assif. There is a small gym with running machines and weights. It is next to a Gulshan park which is perfect for a walk, you may even see the fruit bats.

The bathroom has good hot water supply and a good amenity kit. Bed is firm but comfortable. Food in the restaurant is good with large portions. The starters are easily enough for two. The airport shuttle service is excellent. I will certainly stay here again.

Very good stay, the hotel is clean, with very nice workers, from receptionists to cleaning staff, and overall assistance! The food is also very good, from the breakfast to the restaurant menu. We stayed in both buildings and found the newer one more comfortable.

We feel safe even we are far from our home. They make sure that our room is clean everyday. The wifi is also strong that can support your daily work. The buffet breakfast is also delicious. Five stars are not enough to rate this hotel because of the treatment and services that you will get. Very highly recommended!!

Excellent buffet breakfast, good service from all staff, comfortable spacious rooms, quiet location next to a park with jogging track. I cannot recommend this hotel too highly!
- Haresh (4/5): - The Rooms are tiny and smelly and dated. Requested to change room as was staying for a whole week and they asked for more money. Other guest that arrived later had better rooms. Reception staff is out to grouch you for money at every request. Had confirmed booking from expedia and was told they did not have the booking and it was cancelled- where in the desk clerk the night before confirmed that the room was booked for the extra night. No natural light- windows facing the next building wall 2 feet away. Breakfast buffet was the same for 7 straight days- no change in the food variety. Will not recommend for stay.

- Reez (6/5): Okay to stay for a day or two, especially if you are travelling for work. - The property is situated in a good location (Diplomatic Zone) and hence, you could feel safe around its neighborhood. Though the furniture are a bit outdated and requires renovation, that doesn't mean it would spoil your stay. Rooms are spacious and cleanliness was satisfactory. There are plenty of space in the cabinet to put your stuff with a few hangers to hang also. There is a locker to keep your important belongings safe. In addition to the welcome drinks, they also offered us complimentary fruit plate in the room upon arrival. Room amenities were okay for a short stay (i.e. 2-3 days). The hotel has a restaurant and a coffee shop on site situated on G floor. We had dinner at the restaurant and found the food items really delicious. The service at the restaurant was satisfactory as the service personnel gave their best attention to the customers' needs. Complimentary buffet breakfast was okay with varieties of food items and also there is a separate section of food items for Indian people (i.e. Vegetarian option available). Overall customer service was satisfactory as any complaint or need/want was taken care of immediately. As mentioned before, the property is a bit outdated and requires refurbishment and modernization. For example, TV is quite small compared to bigger rooms and also positioned in the wrong direction from the bed. Keeping a large luggage would be difficult for the small table space provided. Bathtub in the bathroom contained some stains which should be taken care of. Water in the basin doesn't drain properly and it's kind of annoying to use it for a longer time. Pillows are hard (as mentioned by other guests) and also kind of high that gives you an uncomfortable sleeping experience. Restaurant food quantity could be increased compared to prices charged (i.e. 4-5 very small pieces of chicken in Chicken Korma for 650/-). Breakfast offers outdated style of serving juices (i.e. serving in jugs and no juice dispenser in 2023, that's surprising). Moreover, they are serving Pran Frooto (packaged mango juice for breakfast) which can't be called fresh juice at all and doesn't represent them as a 4 star property. So, with a few of the things changed and corrected, hopefully they could offer an excellent stay in future.

The service was very satisfying, starting from airport pick-up, fast check-in process, clean room, varied and quite delicious breakfast menu. I was very impressed with the waiter named Mr. Mohon, be ready and always provide total service. My shoes were damaged, since this is my first visit and I am still unfamiliar with the location. He was ready to take me to the destination shop and take me back home. Hopefully you can come back again
- drsudaths (10/5): Home away home - I was travelling Bangladesh for my official duties and i stayed at Hotel Lake Castle almost one month. It is located in a nicest areas of Dhaka. From the time I checked in until the check out all the staff provided me with a warmly, friendly and an efficinet service. They were polite and well mannered. Attending my needs at the room or elsewhere were quick and perfect. The room was clean, comfortable and was equipped with all basic needs. Towels and bed linen were provided daily. Toiletries provided included soap, shower gel, shampoo, moisturising cream, tooth brush with tooth paste, comb and shower cap. Facilities for in room cofee/ tea making was provided. Iron and ironing board supplied on request. The room was also equipped with safe locker, minibar, digital TV and hair dryer. Free shoe shining, daily newspaper, and local free call were also provided. Free airport pick up and drop is a bonus. Meals at the restaurant were best suited to my palate. Breakfast buffet had a range of varieties to select from continental, Indian, Thai and local food. Food varieties offered changed daily. Fresh fruit and fresh fruit juice were offered daily of course. The Hotel has a Gym but I did not use it. Hotel rates are one of the best in the area and I can rate it as value for money. I never hesitate to book the Hotel Lake Castle if I happened to revisit Dhaka.

I also love the restaurants and food. They gave us complimentary fruits and they had various facilities. It was sort of a vintage old style hotel but I still loved it. Across the street there is a nice park you can take a walk in.

Very diverse selection with fresh juice and fruit too. The dinners were also delicious, with American, Italian, Asian, and Indian dishes. Room was comfortable and quiet. Hot water worked for me. Some rooms smelled a little mildew-y, which isn’t surprising for such a humid country, so if that’s the case, just ask to switch. Service was 5 STAR! They went ABOVE AND BEYOND, even during a major holiday to do an early breakfast for us. Thanks to the whole team and to Mohan for being very welcoming.

I am very pleased with the location, staff and my park viewed clean room. The windows have a good isolation to avoid from the street noise. I also enjoyed with the breakfast as a vegan and the dinner at the restaurant with a nice, soft intrumental music. Just restaurant staff has loud conversation among themselves continously. I would specifically thank to front office manager Enayet Ullah for arranging my airport transportation and my staying at the hotel nicely.

- John (10/5): Friendly staff, Mr. Farroukh the Manager was very helpful; Firoz the young Concierge had great ideas - Location was excellent - shopping areas 10-15mins by rikshaw (which the concierge organised); airport shuttel service worked very well. We were met at the airport and the journey to the hotel took about 30minutes. Very quiet location and safe to walk around, Gulshan lake just across the road where you can walk around for exercise! Breakfast had good choice of Bengali and Continetal dishes, good service from the Breakfast Staff every morning; egg station manned very well. Room service food ordered was surprisingly good. Additional help organising car with chauffeur for day trips (extra cost but all the drivers and cars were good so well worth it). Rooms had AC with comfortable beds and were quiet. There is a lift to higher floors from reception. The hot water took some time to get warm for showers (we worked out that you had to leave the tap on for at least 5 minutes before it got warm enough but this was not really a problem just patience being tested). However, if the shower head was placed on its hook on the wall the water would seep over the edge of the bath tub and out onto the floor. We acted on this by not hanging shower head on the wall or facing it down into the bath tub instead- used lots of towels on the floor to soak up the extra water!

For request of illish fish in reception they informed me one guy who also work on that hotel..He was very friendly and brought testy fish for us with a good packing. In breakfast all 3 days menu is very similar, Tea is not so good, Dal for luchi is not good in taste. In night we find some mosquito in room.

- Borzino (7/5): PLEASANT 8 DAYS BUSINESS STAY - The Hotel is simple but has everything needed for a pleasant business stay. The corner room I had was spacious. The bathroom amenities were refilled every day. There was no view from the window. Just a wall. There is no plug to reccharge the phone near the bed. The service in the restaurant was very slow, expecially in the evening.

- Ma (8/5): Very pleasant experience with great food and kind people. - Excellent service. Clean and warm atmosphere. The staff was always helpful and respectful. Impressive breakfast buffet. Complimentary airport shuttle. They helped assist our grandmother regularly. Willing to re-heat our fridge food and deliver it to our room. Adjusted our breakfast according to our requests (fruit variety, omelet, tea, etc.). Very patient and hospitable. Hand sanitizers in the dining area would be appreciated.
- Feng (4/5): Disappointing - staff service attitude is good disappointed with the quietness of the room. The noise of generator was very loud. Requested to change the room, however, still the same. only the last night i stay a bit quiet.

Thanks to Faruk and the manager, I was offered extended use of a room to have a shower before my flight. Excellent internet connection. I will certainly come to stay here in my next business trip.
- Rhawks (8/5): - The hotel past its prime and is dated by western standards. But, having stayed in a number of places in Dhaka, this has become my favorite for value and accommodation. The upgrade to a large suite is modest. The bedroom is very large with a sitting area, desk area, large closet and queen bed. There are a number of electrical outlets that allow for USA plugs. The rest room is adequate and dated. Water is warm, not hot. But since Bangladesh is hot and humid, the water temp is refreshing. The large living room is wonderful with dining table, couch, and comfy chairs. AC in each room is excellent.
