Guest Reviews
- Barbara (8/5): -
- Nora Elizabeth (9/5): Loved it, I’ll go back - Loved it , Just being around nature, great service.. restaurant in property very good and breakfast included was great also. I’ll stay again. Ac unit in the bedroom was a bit noise for me….(had to turn off ) but my husband didn’t bother. Everything else was great.
- Ross (8/5): Quiet and comfortable accommodation in a lovely setting - Very nice location in a working vineyard. Although the restaurant wasn’t open during much of our stay because of it being early in the season, we have eaten there before and the food was great!
Our delicious breakfast was served every morning to our room. Too much to eat and the warm sourdough was to die for.
I wake earlier than my girlfriend so the coffee in the corridor was nice to have. Our room could have used a bit of an update, maybe some new window shades and blackout curtains. And the air conditioning is very old school and noisy. Newer heat pumps are quite quiet. But the room was spacious and clean.
- Francisca (9/5): Comfy guesthouse with super breakfast - As a senior couple on a road trip through the Okanagan, we sought out charming accommodations along the way and Crowsnest Vineyards Guesthouse fit the bill. The German-style breakfast was hearty, healthy, and tasty! Although we fully understood the reason, we were disappointed that the restaurant was closed the day we stayed there (a Monday).
- Adam (9/5): An attractive and serene vineyard stay - I spent two nights at Crowsnest on a staycation from Kelowna. It's a very pleasant and serene place. I was there early in the season, so without restaurant service (Keremeos is only ten minutes' drive away). The facilities were warm and friendly, well-priced. The property looks out on a large vineyard, with other vineyards and orchards around. I had fun photographing the immediate environs. It's about a half-hour drive from Osoyoos, so a nice base if you want to combine the destinations. Wifi is strong, and the room-service, German-style breakfast in the a.m. is excellent and filling. There seems to be variation in the quality/firmness of mattresses from room to room. If you want a firm and new one, request it. No real issues!
- Gordon (9/5): Casual and unpretentious but clean, comfortable and friendly. - Pet friendly
- Steph Rock (8/5): - Beautiful location on a small vineyard and excellent food!! A basic, but generous sized room that was very clean! They were really kind and let our dog sit on the patio with us for dinner. Earplugs came in handy for the squeaky mattress springs and farm animals 😄 no big deal though.
- Deborah (8/5): - Loved the breakfast. Loved being off the main road with no traffic. Enjoyed walking my dog there too Unfortunate timing on my part as the restaurant and bakery there hadn't opened for the season
- Jim (10/5): Well worth the money, excellent staff. - Breakfast was great. Egg, cold cuts, excellent bread, coffee, juice, fresh veggies.
- Mikhail (10/5): - Pretty much everything !
- Jesse (8/5): - Private room, clean, breakfast was great! Not a long stay so I couldn't take advantage of wine tasting and other options. Hearing mice in walls at night and woken up early morning by them. Not pleasant.
- Chelsea (9/5): - Breakfast was fabulous! Quiet, good value and clean.
- Lorraine (7/5): -
- Janet (8/5): This is an affordable and welcoming venue which was clean. Great breakfast was included. - It was wonderful to be greeted so warmly. An unexpected bonus was receiving a breakfast of warm, home baked bun and bread with fruit, eggs, cold cuts and a pot of hot coffee ( i didn’t accept the cheese) delivered to the room in the morning. Fabulous wine and black forest cake were available too.
- Pam (10/5): -
- Claire (8/5): Great place in a beautiful valley to stay with the bonus of a fantastic restaurant. - Lovely overnight stay at Crowsnest. Beds were comfortable and rooms warm. Food was fantastic in the restaurant and had great wine. Thought I had booked a double bed but singles were fine
- Kathleen (9/5): Excellent breakfast, comfortable value stay. - Comfortable spacious room and excellent breakfast provided, including home made sourdough bread, meats, cheese, preserves and more.
- Susan (1/5): Cancellation policy not honored - Lack of communication from the property. They have not honored their own cancellation policy.
- David (10/5): A great choice for our one night stay in the valley. Got lucky! - Comfortable European style with single duvets and delicious full European breakfast. Home baking at the winery and restaurant (check open hours) Nothing. It was a perfect stay.
- martin (2/5): UNLESS THE OWNERS UPGRADE THE BEDS AND BEDDING DO NOT STAY HERE! - THE BREAKFAST WAS A DISGRACE, SWARMS OF FLIES IN THE ROOM, LANDING ON UNCOVERED FOOD LAID OUT ON THE TABLES. MINI FANS WERE USED WITHOUT ANY APPRECIABLE RESULT TO DISPERSE THE FLIES. UGH!
THE BEDS ARE HOME MADE WOODEN FRAMES THAT CREAK AND GROAN AT EVERY MOVE, MOST UNCOMFORTABLE AND A SLEEPLESS NIGHT. THE OWNER, WISHING FRIENDS GOODBY BENEATH OUR OPEN WINDOW AT 6.00 A/M IN A LOUD VOICE WITH ACCOMPANYING TOOTING HORNS PUT THE LID ON AN AWFUL NIGHT.
- CHRISTOPHER (9/5): great place - Such a nice place to stop on our way from Vancouver to Nelson. Very comfortable, quiet and super clean. Breakfast is exceptionally nice with delicious fresh home-baked sourdough bread rolls. nothing
- Andrew (9/5): - Great restaurant and ambience Room needed more pillows and comfort
- Heather (10/5): - Great food and Staff are very friendly
- Stephanie (6/5): - The room was clean and basic. It had a dormer style ceiling and you can hit your head on it when you get in bed. The staff were not very welcoming so maybe the focus is the winery and restaurant and not the accommodations.
- Cari (9/5): Perfect end to a long day of driving ! - The stay included a free wine tasting which was a nice surprise. There is a patio/restaurant that is set on the side of their vineyard, and the food and wine was delicious. Nice to watch the sun set behind the mountains. The European style breakfast was a great way to start the day! The mattresses could have been a bit thicker on the single beds.
- Hilary (8/5): - We stayed one night and had a quick tasting, bought some delicious sourdough and had a nice dinner.Over the winter you need to confirm opening hours for everything as opening times vary day to day.
Our room, 802 was large, dog friendly and right above the restaurant. Toilet roll holder fell off the wall, bathroom light didn't work and bedside table lamp broken. I did mention this in the morning and they were already aware! Thumping music for 1 1/2 hours after dining room closed. Could hear everything our neighbours said in their room and we know they showered at 6:30 am. If the repairs were done and soundproofing in place it would justify the $176 paid.
- Barbara (8/5): excellent - excellent the bedding. nicer cotton bedding would have been great
- Valerie (9/5): - The staff was fantastic.
The dinner ws great. There was a good selection. The beds could have been just a bit more comfortable.
- DEborah (9/5): -
- Carol (10/5): - Staff is first class, attentive, respectful and responsive
- Trudy (8/5): - All
- Kathleen (8/5): - A very comfortable property with a very good restaurant on site. Convenient to visiting wineries and orchards in the area
- Lorne and Jen (10/5): An absolute gem! - An absolute gem! Awesome breakfast included. Wonderful sourdough pizza, bread and excellent schnitzel in the restaurant! ...and of course nice wine! Always welcoming at this sister and brother run guesthouse.
- Pamela (8/5): -
- Sandra (8/5): - Crowsnest Guest House is a beautiful property surrounded by apple orchards and the vineyard. We loved eating on the terrace both in the morning and in the evening for dinner. Their sourdough breads were excellent as were the portions at both meals. Our room, while small, was quiet and comfortable.
- Raymond (8/5): An enjoyable getaway. - Breakfast was great. Nice service and variety. A comfortable sitting area.
- Bill (8/5): Nice location -
- Ruth (8/5): - The staff were very nice but it felt like a the whole place needs a bit of an update !
- Nathalie (9/5): -
- Chan (7/5): -
- Daniel (7/5): -
- Sabrina (8/5): Crowsnest winery stay - A great get away! Walls are a bit thin and one of the air conditioning units wasn't working--so hot to sleep. However, clean, friendly staff and awesome breakfast!
- Renee (10/5): Wonderful place to relax and unwind. - This place was very quiet and the restaurant and staff were excellent. Rooms were clean, and comfy and we felt right at home. Nothing to complain about or want when you are treated as well as we were at Crowsnest!
- TARA (8/5): - Guest room could use some attention (maintenance)
- Rick (8/5): Nice quiet retreat - On a limited timeline I was happy to be staying at a place where I was not worried about leaving stuff in my vehicle got in late and left early but from what I seen service high priority room clean with everything you need
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Lovely room, generous breakfast included, quiet, fun outside music on weekend nights. Tasty dinners at on-site dining.
- Donald (10/5): - The Crowsnest Vineyard and Guesthouse met all my expectations. The rooms were clean with AirCon and comfortable. The property provided room to enjoy the views of the surrounding hills and vineyard. Breakfast including fresh bread, meats, cheese and fruit and an egg, a great start to the day. The lunch and dinner menu had enough variety to satisfy me and a couple of friends for 3 nights. Live entertainment, a very nice selection of their wines and friendly and attentive staff completed a most enjoyable state. Highly recommend.
- Monica (2/5): Horrible stay kept awake all night by flies and could stomach the food after seeing insects enjoying it. Never again. - Good location in nice vineyard country on way to Osoyoos. It was infested with flies. Killed some in the room, more kept coming. Couldn’t sleep as they kept landing on our faces. Asked staff for help they gave us a fly swatter a which was totally ineffective. In the morning went down to breakfast but the food was sitting open on a table with flies feeding on it, staff hadn’t bothered to cover it. Room was basic, soap dispenser in shower was empty, furniture run down and dilapidated. A truly horrible stay, discussed with staff who told us everywhere has flies, it’s the area. But nowhere else had this problem. A total disappointment, we looked forward so much to staying on a vineyard property but it was a horrible stay.
- Gerry (10/5): - Crowsnest vineyards was a wonderful place to stay. Very nice room and fantastic restaurant
- Jerry (8/5): - A nice touch having the band in the courtyard in the vening
- Amparo (10/5): - We had a woderful stay. We went to work in the farms and we knew that we are going to arrive late, they prepared a nice food to keep it for later in the fridge. Th restaurant is very good. They provide a delicious bread that they prepared for breakfast. We love it. Also we love the cinamon buns with raspberries. At night time we slept very good. The place was quiet and the bed was comfortable. We are going to be back there next year. Thank you
- John (8/5): - Good food and enjoyed the live music. Nice location.
- Linda (10/5): Lovely as always - This is our second stay here. Rooms, food and atmosphere are wonderful. Our queen sized bed was a bit too bouncy for 2. Last time we had twin beds which worked better.
- Ross (6/5): - Not good for people with mobility issues.
- Charles (10/5): - This was a great stay. The food was amazing, with a live blues band in the back patio. A nice suttle european feel.
Would stay again
- ELEXA (10/5): - We stayed on a Saturday night in the summer, so we got to enjoy live music while eating a tasty meal and sipping wine in the vineyard. We greatly appreciated the pet friendly venue, air conditioned room, and European-style breakfast in the morning. Also shout-out to the staff that gave us a wine tasting right on arrival since the wine shop was closing right away. A lovely stay all around.
- William (10/5): - Really nice staff and a nice relaxing vibe.
- Danny (10/5): - Loved the friendly staff
- Todd (10/5): - We stopped for a single night during our motorcycle trip through British Columbia. This place had amazing food, wine, staff and we hi the jackpot with great weather and sky that could make Montana Jealous. It was a great stop and highly recommended.
- Timothy (8/5): - Nice, friendly, quiet, clean atmosphere with an "out in the country"feel surrounded by orchards! Lovely setting!
- Casi (2/5): - We had car trouble. I called the property and was on hold for hours and no one answered the phone. We arrived late because of the car trouble paid for the property slept in my car in the parking lot. With two teenagers and two dogs in my small Mazda cx3. No one was at the
- Megan (8/5): - We enjoy our stay at crowsnest
- Jim (10/5): Country retreat - It was very satisfying staying there. Lots of fresh air and the food was excellent. Friendly staff and guests.
- Lynn (10/5): - We have stayed at Crowsnest yearly for the past 7 years! Everything about it is a 10/10. Rustic, extremely clean and the best food! And if that’s not enough they also have fresh baked goods daily! Live music on weekends and some pretty good wine! Looking forward to next year!
- HERBERT (10/5): -
- Tally (10/5): A cute little spot to stop and rest on your roadtrip. Will definitely return. - The complimentary breakfast was a perfect start to the day, and the staff were extremely friendly. The rooms were a bit rustic, but not far off from what I was expecting.
- David (10/5): - Staff was very friendly the restaurant and surrounding vineyard and garden was relaxing. There was live music as well. The mattress was a little bumpy but we slept well. The bread from the in house bakery was excellent!
- Wilson (10/5): - Country Style. Simple but quiet and very nice. And included Breakfast was full of Carbs and Proteins to start the day.
- HUSSAM (6/5): - The staff was excellent
But the quality and condition of the room I believe overpriced / not worth $225 even if it is the end of June
- Dax (8/5): - Was a cute and clean friendly place, would recommend
- Alison (8/5): -
- Jean (5/5): Fine for 1 night. - Dinner was very good. Breakfast was alright. The room was very basic. Two twin beds in a large room. Constant squeaking in the room all night due to something outside rubbing. Air conditioning did not drown it out nor was it very cool. Sounded like a metal sign. We faced the front of the building.
- Mary (8/5): Enjoyable European style guesthouse. - The vineyard setting. The restaurant below was great and the German style breakfast with fresh house made sourdough bread and buns. Not much. A little noise from the restaurant below but was very quiet after 10pm.
- Smith (7/5): Would stay again mainly for food quality and excellent breakfast. - Basic but very clean. Food was very high quality.
- John (8/5): - Excellent, healthy food and delicious baking
- Denine (10/5): Exceptional - Lots of parking - very generous breakfast and the best sourdough !! Nothing
- Jane (8/5): Very good -
- Jody (9/5): Superb - A beautiful setting in the country. Delicious supper with excellent drinks and wonderful Cappuccinos. The farm is floodlit all night and the venetian blinds let quite a bit of light in. The bed was not very comfortable.
- Derek (8/5): Very good - Absolutely excellent Euro style continental breakfast with fresh baked breads, spreads, egg, meat and cheeses and fruit, along with tea, coffee and fresh orange juice. Nothing.
- Patricia Ann (8/5): - Staff are amazing. Food is great.
- John (8/5): Very enjoyable. - Excellent meals - we particularly liked the way the breakfast was organized. Meals were served in a lovely patio. The beds were not particularly comfortable, and the bathroom was not good. The placement of the shelf over the sink meant that it was not possible to lean down over the sink.
- Charles (10/5): - Staying at a vineyard was an interesting experience. The staff were great!
- Keiron (10/5): Cozy Vineyard Getaway - Nice sized room with friendly and helpful staff and a nice view of the vineyard.
- John (10/5): A totally enjoyable experience, comfortable room, great food and the live music topped it off for ou. - It's an ideal location in the heart of the vineyard surrounded by orchards.
- Ronda (8/5): Very good -
- Leah (10/5): A gem in wine country - A gem of a place in wine country of Similkameen Valley. Very accommodating to us and our dog. The meals are wonderful and they have a bakery as well as the vineyard. Breakfast was sooo good! Would definitely come back here. All the staff were friendly and helpful. There was nothing that I didn't like!
- Marla (9/5): Superb -
- Judy (10/5): - Great quaint place to stay.
- Righton (8/5): Very good -
- Katrina (10/5): - Beautiful place
- Christiane (10/5): Highly recommend - Very well located, beautiful area. Polite and helpful staff. The bread is amazing too!
- Ellen (9/5): Superb -
- Ellen (9/5): Superb -
- Susan (10/5): Such a delightful place to be! - This was a delightful place to stay with bright, nicely appropriated rooms upstairs, a charming restaurant serving delicious food and drink (including award winning Crowsnest Vineyard wines), welcoming and accommodating staff and a terrific breakfast tray delivered to our room. Oh, and in a peaceful, beautiful valley with vineyards and fruit tree orchards everywhere.
- John (10/5): A very nice place to stay with a wonderful staff. - From the moment we arrived we were treated in a friendly and welcoming manner. We were fortunate that we arrived on a Friday for pizza night. Order the 12" Special--so good! We didn't have time for the wine tasting but there was a wonderful variety of wines from on-site grown grapes. The European style breakfast was amazing and delivered directly to our room right at the time we requested. Definitely stay here again! It's a bit on the rustic side but, to us, it just added to the ambiance.
- Eric (9/5): Superb -
- Joanna (9/5): It was a great place for our working group to get together for our meeting and then some much needed - I have stayed here a couple of times before. The rooms are standard clean and quiet. Included breakfast is high quality and an ample serving. Of course dinner there is always very good. It is a nice little retreat and staff are friendly Beds could be a bit more comfortable for aging bodies. But they aren’t bad
- Christopher (9/5): we are regular visitors and like the tranquility of this place set amid the vineyards. we always enjoy the solid delicio - quiet, beautiful spot. welcoming hostess
- David (10/5): A Gem! - The location (surrounded by vineyards) is very quiet and safe; the room, while very basic, provides all the needs for a comfortable stay; it is within a few minutes' drive of amenities in Keremeos, and best of all, the European-style breakfast with fresh buns & bread baked in their onsite bakery along with assorted deli meats & cheeses, sliced tomatoes, cucumbers, and fruit, boiled egg, juice & coffee are what keeps this property on our "go to" list whenever we are in the area. There is a restaurant and winery on the property as well, but we have not yet availed ourselves of these offerings. Perhaps a couple of coat hooks in the room?
- Eric (7/5): I would recommend it! - Excellent supper and breakfast! Friendly staff! My grandson of 4 said it was spiffy!
