Guest Reviews
- Devon (2/5): - No one available at the front desk. Could not check in. Had to find another place to stay.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - My stay was good
- Donald (4/5): IXT Ranch Review - If you can"t find anyplace else stay here.
- Raquel (8/5): More than ideal for a non picky weary traveler! - There were several “iffy” looking men chilling outside that made me a bit weary (I’m a petite 5’ woman traveling on my own) other than that and the fact that I didn’t get shampoo, I had a very calm and pleasant stay. The room was quite clean, spacious, everything worked perfectly, and I got a good night sleep to continue my trip. Owners were kind to me and even greeted me in the morning while packing up.
- Dona (8/5): Nice room, remoldeling... - The room was very nice and clean. They are remodeling the motel and work equipment is around but neatly stored. The owner eas very adamant about not smoking in the room which was fine with me. When he asked if I had a pet, he asked "Are you sure?" which irritated me as if I was lying. In his defense, he said he had been lied to about that in the past. Overall, the stay was good for the price!
- Amanda (4/5): - Definitely not what I expected. It felt pretty sketchy. I won’t be staying there in the future.
- Roberto (6/5): It was ok - This hotel was ok. I wouldnt recomend unless it was cheaper. Office was a mess, couldnt find my reservation. They were "remodeling", but i think thar was an excuse for the mess. Too small and restroom was not finished. Just to spend the night it is ok, just no more than that. Maybe after the remodel it would be beter.
- timothy (8/5): good deal if passing through - This is an older motel that is being updated, so it's a work in progress. Our room was very large and clean, well worth the price we paid. Would stay here again if in the area.
- orlom2016 (2/5): Got ate up by bugs - It’s under remodeling , junk strewn everywhere. Id say it’s going to be a long time based on what I saw .I didn’t mind that , but waking up itching everywhere with welts , that bothered me . I would NEVER recommend this motel or stay here again .
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Excelent service. The owner came to the room to show me how to use the TV controller, rather than explaining over the phone. Super comfortable. The were remodeling when we stayed, but don't let looks deceive.
- James (4/5): - When we drove up we were very concerned about the way the place looked. It was run down and had all kinds of stuff "stored" on the covered area by the rooms. I know they say they are remodeling. The office was a disaster and couldn't find our paper work at first. Room had a pile of dirt behind door - pile. Mice woke us up crawling on our luggage. Bathroom was remodeled and looked fairly clean. We left very early the next morning - couldn't wait to get out of there. I know the price indicates there are no frills but I thought it would be cleaner. Very old and "used" looking inside
- August (10/5): Good Value for Your Money - The XIT is fine if you need a comfortable room and good night's sleep. The check-in process is slow but room 42 was clean and the bed is comfortable. The bathroom has been remodeled.
- Alice (10/5): - The couple that manages this place are always friendly and welcoming even when I arrive at 11:30 at night. My room was clean and comfortable and had a refrigerator with a freezer compartment that was actually cold enough to refreeze my blue ice. I like knowing this place is here, and that I will be able to get a restful night's sleep.
- Lori (8/5): Friendly and clean - It may not look the greatest, from the outside, but it's currently being remodeled. This is my 3rd stay here and the rooms are always comfortable and very clean. The shower had been upgraded and that was nice. The couple at the front desk, are friendly and helpful.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Nothing unique, very old hotel, no ice machine, very small bathroom, bed was not comfortable, construction going on, and it was about 200 feet from the train station, with the trains sounding their horns.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Our room was very nice and the wifi was good. Many rooms being remodeled so the first impression is not a good one.
- AVELINA (8/5): - The stay was good and convenient to the place we needed to be early in the morning
- Verified traveler (8/5): - clean room. cold, it can be this time of year. heater worked, barely.
- Debbie (8/5): - The hotel is old, but very clean, good beds & soft sheets.
- Charles (6/5): Blast from the past. - Old motel from the 1950s. Very little change since its original Construction. No bathroom ventilation. TV remote control did not work properly.
- Ron (2/5): - Horribly maintained, old, dirty, and falling apart. Flies roaming free in the room. Got charged $40 extra for additional guest where none was mentioned during the booking. Stay as far away as possible.
- 456tanishac (2/5): Dont do it - Please save your money i spent 100 on this hotel
And it was disgusting i didn't have any other place to stay so i had to tough it out. The beds were dirty, the bathtub was black and smelled of mold. There was a used plunger in the tub and someone's loofa still in there. The doors didn't lock at all
- RonaColorado (4/5): Shabby and noisy - We had a booking but after looking at the room here decided to drive an extra two hours on to Raton through wind and snow since there was nothing else available in Dalhart. Granted, even the Days Inn here is $110 for a twin room, so the price at XIT Ranch may not be bad value. The air conditioner/heater was so loud that there's no way we could have slept even if we'd gotten past how grungy the room was.
- K2897MHdaniela (4/5): Stinky and Ugly - The first thing I noticed was that the motel and the grounds were in terribble shape. The Indian lady at the front desk could barely speak english and all she said was "everything good". The room itself is odorless but outside the smell is much worse than in an animal farm. The only plus point is that it was more inexpensive than in another motel close by.
- MrsSawToYou (8/5): Clean and Comfy - If you're weary from a long drive and need an inexpensive hotel to sleep... XIT is the place to go. No frills... but a very clean room with a comfortable bed! Why go to a place with a pool and other amenities you won't use (remember... if you don't use them, you still pay for them!), when all you want to do is sleep before getting back on the road? The management staff was so friendly and walked us to our room... then asked us if the room was satisfactory. Customer Service is a big on on my list and the folks at XIT hit it! Don't let the age or look of the exterior scare you away... like I said, our room was clean, odorless and our bed was super comfy! We woke up refreshed and were ready to get back on the road!
