Il personale non è stato particolarmente cortese, soprattutto durante il check-in: non mi è stato spiegato praticamente nulla e l’atteggiamento della persona che mi ha consegnato le chiavi è risultato piuttosto scontroso. Inoltre, le serrature sembravano molto vecchie e poco sicure, al punto da farmi temere che la porta potesse aprirsi da un momento all’altro. Considerando il prezzo pagato, mi aspettavo decisamente un servizio migliore.

• Cédric (2/5): Hôtel vétuste, cloporte dans la salle de bain, personnel peu serviable et pas commerçant. - La proximité avec la gare st-pancras. Une bouche de métro à 200 mètres. L'accueil, la vétusté de l'établissement, le personnel très peu serviable et pas du tout commerçant. A notre arrivée à 21h00, l'une des deux chambres n'était pas nettoyée. Nous avons encore du patienter 30 minutes. Dans la chambre familiale, nous étions envahi de cloporte tous les matins dans la salle de bain. Alors que le patron/concierge nous explique vouloir faire un geste commercial pour une future réservation, nous lui demandons s'il est possible de laisser nos bagages à l'accueil le jour de notre départ pour éviter de devoir nous balader avec, il répond simplement "non", nous dit au revoir et ferme la porte d'entrée a clé derrière nous. C'est la 8ème fois que je me rend à Londres et je n'ai jamais vécu cela auparavant.
• 776kylem (2/5): Kinda wish I'd read the other reviews first - If all you care about is somewhere to stick your head while you're in London for a weekend then this place is just about ok for that. My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights. The receptionist not even getting off his chair to welcome us, but rather passing me a little piece of paper to fill in details that he should already have from booking.com set the standard that they barely maintained. The room was tiny on the top floor, with no lift and a skinny uneven set of stairs. As basic as you can possibly get. The bed was uncomfortable, small, squeaky, only had a sheet and a thin blanket and banged against the wall every time you move. The shower didnt have a way to attach to the wall as the rail was broken. Only two towels are provided and when I asked for more got fobbed off with the excuse they only change the towels after a day. You get what you pay for i guess, and it is undeniably very cheap for that location. The location actually is ideal for exploring london. A short walk to King's Cross station and maybe 2 minutes to Russell square. Like I said, if all you want is somewhere to sleep very short term, it will just about do.
• magee (2/5): Sets itself low standards which it still somehow fails to meet - The location is good. Its very convenient for Kings cross and central london. If all you care about is somewhere to put your head for the weekend, its just about ok. The room was very small, on the top floor with a narrow uneven staircase as the only access. No lift. The bed only had a sheet and a thin fleece blanket. Not even a duvet. The shower head holder was broken. There was only two towels and the staff would not give us more or even give us fresh towels when we asked. The staff did not even stand up to greet us when we arrived to check in or ask us if our stay was ok when we checked out. This is the most basic stuff you expect from a hotel.

• Victoria (1/5): This place needs to be shut down! - Location Receptionists are very, very rude, I was at the third floor, no lift, kindly asked for help to carry the luggages and they refused, he said that he is not my slave!!!!! instead told to the cleaning lady, a very young girl of 1.50 cm to carry it..which I could not allow. Receptionist was man! Another problem is he treated me, the customer, like ke was doing a big favour renting me one room there, he also shouted at me because I needed my luggages to be stored at check out, until I could take them to my next travel. He threw my luggages out, in the street. Another thing is that a normal hotel is paid for 24hours,while they set up their own rules and request a check in after 4pm, but want the check out before 10 am, basically, the customer is paying an enormous amount for the very poor service, and only for a small amount of hours. With the money per day in this hotel, one could get a proper room, help with luggages, storage of luggages, politeness and respect. None of these things apply to this hotel. Mattresses are old and unsafe, cleaning the room happened only when I checked out, everything is ditry, no one comes even to pick up the garbage from the rooms. This is a violation of customer's rights as well as human rights.

One of the lavatories appeared to not be as clean as expected and the bed was uncomfortable and badly sprung and not easy to get any rest as well as a smokey smell if the carpet or or from outside?

• Milz (2/5): - Very disappointing experience. The staff were extremely unfriendly throughout my stay. I was first given a partially furnished room, then an unclean room that had clearly already been used. Eventually, I was moved to a double room, which was fine. However, the next day I was blamed for being in a double room, even though I had originally booked a single and was simply given what was available. To make matters worse, staff refused to open the door for me and accused me of damaging it, when I was only trying to collect my luggage as previously agreed. Overall, a very rude and unpleasant experience. I would not recommend staying here.

The bathroom was so small you could sit on the wc, have a shower and use the sink all at the same time. The dimmer made the lights flicker instead of dim, had to hold the kettle down to get it to work.

• quek2026 (2/5): Rude “owner”. - I arrived in London at approximately 6:00am on 30 December and went directly to the property at around 7:00am, with the sole intention of enquiring whether luggage storage would be possible prior to check-in. Upon entering the property, the “owner” immediately responded in a rude and hostile manner, raising his voice and demanding that I leave the premises as it was not yet check-in time. No explanation or courtesy was offered. I complied and left the property. I returned at approximately 2:00pm for the scheduled check-in. At that time, there was no one present at the registration counter. As we stepped in briefly to seek guidance on the check-in process, the “owner” suddenly appeared and aggressively screamed at us, chasing us away from the counter and repeatedly stating that it was “his property, not ours”. This occurred despite the fact that he had not been present to facilitate the check-in. What further compounded the issue was the clear inconsistency in his statements and actions. Earlier that morning, he had explicitly stated that luggage storage was not allowed under any circumstances. However, during our later visit, another family was clearly permitted to leave their luggage at the property. Throughout both interactions, the “owner” was extremely rude, unaccommodating, and confrontational. His behaviour made us feel unwelcome, uncomfortable, and distressed. As a result of this unacceptable conduct, we made the decision not to proceed with our stay, as we did not feel safe or comfortable remaining at the property. This experience fell far below reasonable hospitality standards and was deeply disappointing, especially after a long international journey.

It was very convenient to reach everywhere easily, which I really liked Unfortunately, the hotel is very old and poorly maintained. The room was quite small, and the furniture was outdated and worn out. I was also disappointed with the cleanliness, especially in the bathroom, and there was a persistent unpleasant smell. The bed was not comfortable at all, making it difficult to get a good rest.

• simon (1/5): It wasn't a stay. Do not stay here. - Goodwood Inn complaint Hello. Upon arrival at the Goodwood Hotel, we checked in and were given our key and directions to our room. On entering the room, it was simply disgusting. The beds were not made from the previous occupants, one was stained and the other was broken, the head board was unattached. The bin was full of rubbish which was also on the floor. A carpet quite clearly not hoovered. There was a smell of damp and the window was propped open with a block of wood. On complaining to the receptionist he seemed surprised and offered us a double room in the basement. There were no windows and my son and I did not want to share a bed. We asked the receptionist, Ali, for our money back. He said that was fine, but as we paid through you, booking.com that was where we would need to ask for a refund. Please arrange this. We had to arrange alternative accommodation at very short notice at the Premier Inn which cost £194.00

To check us in after waiting outside in the rain!!! The guy on reception was very inappropriate to my teenage daughter and made her feel extremely uncomfortable! Banging and crashing all night and could hear him talking and arguing on the phone until all hours!!

Et kunal (le gerant je suppose) est sympathique. En revanche l'hôtel est pas haut de gamme sa c'est sur. Par contre quand j'ai vu les commentaires laissés j'ai eu très peur d'y aller et franchement c'est pas si terrible que ça. Je m'attendais a avoir des rats et des puces de lits... Alors oui l'hôtel est vétuste et pas franchement clean car il est plutot vieux et de plus dans la salle de bain il y avait un peu de moisissures mais en meme temps c'etait en sous sol donc pas aéré mais allez trouver un hôtel en plein paris pour 350 livres pour 3 nuits a 2. Il ne faut pas non plus s'attendre a grand chose donc je pense que certains commentaires sont exagérés . Après nous y étions que pour dormir de 00h/1h a 7h du matin donc si c'est juste pour dormir c'est passable.

• Matéo (4/5): Médiocre - La salle de bain, qui est commune, n'était pas propre et la pression du pommeau de douche était beaucoup trop faible pour prendre une douche convenablement. La clé d'entrée dans l'hôtel ne fonctionnait pas, heureusement que le personnel était souvent présent pour nous ouvrir, autrement on ne rentrait pas.
• Daniel (4/5): Great location and lovely staff, could stay again due to how bad the beds are - Location was great, staff at reception were lovely The bed was just springs, no mattress protector to even slightly make it easier to sleep on Door to the room was the wrong size to the frame so the whole hall lights and noise came through as there must of been a 4inch gap at the bottom of the door to the floor

• Olivier (1/5): A fuir ! - La situation géographique. Chambre Deluxe sans aucune fenêtre. Pas de tapis de bain. Rien pour poser les affaires. Rien pour suspendre manteau et serviette de bain. Salle de bain moisie. Chambre vétuste et insalubre. Personnel non accueillant. Et c'est hors de prix. A fuir. A fuir. A fuir.

• Castro (7/5): - La habitación es lo imprescindiblemente grande para dormir y poder visitar Londres. Muchas Gracias por el café y el té que nos dejaron para poder consumir como cortesía para una ciudad tan cara como Londres se agradece el detalle.

• Lorelei (6/5): Good value - Pretty clean and large room. Included tea and coffee making things. There was a good lock on the door and the bathroom was just across the landing. Pretty good value for London. Quiet street. No sink in the room. Only provided a sheet and a thin blanket. It was warm in the room so I wasn't cold but I prefer to have a proper duvet for the weight. The street was quiet but when something did go past I could hear it clearly even with the window closed.

• Mikael Krueger (4/5): Ça ne vaut pas le prix payé ! - - Localisation - Lit inconfortable - Chambre très petite et mûr très fin (on entend bien les voisins) - Salle de bain très vite inodée car douche à même le sol. - Couloir et escalier très étroit - Pas de petit déjeuner possible - Pas de bagagerie.
