- Gerhard (7/5): Satisfactorily. - I have stayed here multiple times before. Close to my son's residence which is convenient. I like the ambience, friendly staff, neat and comfortable. The hot water wasn't hot, it was lukewarm. Luckily the weather was hot so it did not matter.

- Thanusha (6/5): Budget accommodation, not a holiday resort. - It was a good location . I felt safe and close to a family member that I was visiting. It also served as a respite and palliative care facility and we didn’t enjoy our stay as a result. Although the surroundings were very well kept, the apartment we were in , needed updating and it was cold and damp . The rooms needed thorough cleaning but as we were there 2 nights , I continued my trip. Had the stay been longer, I would have left for alternative accommodation.

- Jennifer (10/5): Tranquil Oasis in the City - It's a lovely, quiet, secure location, beautiful, well kept rooms, and lush beautiful gardens, excellent staff, delicious meals. Lovely breakfast area, with a delicious full breakfast. The staff were very professional and polite. They provided an excellent daily room cleaning service, and quickly provided any extra items needed. My brother has stayed there many times and recommended we stay there as well - we weren't disappointed! We didn't dislike it, but the parking is a little tight in the back, however, there was enough parking for guests and deliveries. They could use a couple more pool loungers that can be moved around, but there was enough seating at the pool.

- Shelley (9/5): A tranquil retreat - We have stayed at Sunninghill Guest Lodges several times and are never disappointed. Our room was clean and comfortable and well appointed. We enjoyed an excellent breakfast under a tree next to the swimming pool. The gardens are beautifully maintained with abundant bird life and the staff are friendly. There is always sufficient parking. No complaints.

- Robynne (10/5): I would strongly recommend Sunninghill Guest Lodge to everyone I know. - I travel every month for 3 - 4 days a month and have stayed at Sunninghill for I'm sure over a year now. It is fantastic as I feel at home when I come back with beautiful accommodation, expectational staff and the locality is perfect. I feel like I'm staying in the Oyster Box which I have stayed in many times. I look forward to my monthly trips as know I won't have problems with electricity, water or a beautiful clean room and everything that I do need is always not only met but exceeded. Nothing ! As mentioned, I stay over once a month for a few days and I am so incredibly happy when I am planning my next trip.

It has been my preferred place to stay when visiting Joburg. There was one specific instance when the young guy at the front office brought us pool towels as we had brought the towels in the bathrooms and the matter of fact tone he took in telling us we should know not use the bathroom towels for the pool I did not appreciate.

- Chervonne (7/5): Convenient Location - It was conveniently located for the purpose of my travel. Check in was at 14:00, which is already quite late. When I got there, the room wasn’t ready and I had to hang around for about 20 min. Wasn’t even offered a cup of coffee for the inconvenience. Another irritation was the so called “Genius Discount” is merely the establishment not offering breakfast and reducing the price by a similar amount. So not really a saving. The manager on duty told me that breakfast is not included If you book through Booking.com
