Guest Reviews
- Abbie A (8/5): - Place has shut down
- Richard (2/5): - The folks at the desk were very nice. Upon arriving though, they said the room I reserved was not available. They offered a single bed handicapped room with a pull out bed. If I wasn't so tired from driving and the weather weren't so bad I would have not excepted it and tried to find another hotel. There were no blankets or pillows for the pullout bed. Since we were so tired we dealt with it. The traffic noise was very bad being next to the interstate, so we kept the fan on the AC running to block some of it out. Although it was marked as Non-smoking room, it reeked of a cigarette smell. The walls were thin and I think the heavy footed person up stairs paced their room half the night. The Television did not work also, but it didn't matter for we just needed to rest. I am glad it was only for one night and I would not recommend anyone stay there until they do some upgrades and repairs. Once again, the staff we encountered were very nice and very apologetic, but it doesn't account for the price we paid for the room we got. 1/29/ 2020
- Robert (8/5): - The check in was easy. The clerk was very friendly and nice. Can only get in and out one direction.. Bed was too soft for my liking but the room facility was really clean.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - It was horrible the room smelled like cigarettes, they had roaches. Me & my wife walked in & walked right back out
- Leticia (2/5): - We like the staff, but the room was with alot cockroaches
- Michael (8/5): - Convenient to I-20. Pleasant staff. Clean room. Safe property.
- JA (4/5): - My issue was only partially with the property. I made the reservation while in my car, stopped at a gas station. I specifically needed a dog friendly hotel, immediately. The Expedia guy who booked for me told me countless times that the hotel would charge an additional $5 for the pet fee once I arrived. I repeated it back each time. Yes, he said. Five dollars. I arrived, exhausted, only to find that, no, the additional fee was $53. I would not have agreed to that. It was too late in the evening for me to begin a new search. So, I paid $130 for a crappy hotel that had no cups, coffee, or even doors on the kitchen cabinets. Last time with that hotel and most certainly last time with Expedia.
- Harold (2/5): - I booked this room for my daughter and her two kids who were in Lexington for a soccer tournament. She said that the room smelled like pot. When they got on the elevator, my youngest grandson (reacting to the smell of cigarettes, said,”I don’t think I should be breathing in here!”. He’s eight years old!
- Donna (4/5): Not a suite - Room was not a suite, it was the smallest room I have ever stayed in, if you want coffee you had to buy a coffee maker, if you wanted ice you had to make it. Uncomfortable chairs and just a double bed
- Juanita (6/5): - The price was better than other places. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable not the rug in the elevator needed cleaning. Zero amenities.
- ShaneB (6/5): - It was a no frills, barebones place to lay our head while in town for a football game. It was exactly what I thought it’d be as it is an extended stay. It was clean for the most part but did have a strange smell in the room. I’d stay again for a quick two night trip into town.
- Zach (6/5): - Took 30 mins to check in, rooms came with nothing for the kitchen, have to buy everything. Had to use circuit breaker to get lights in room to work
- Doris (2/5): - Are room was in horrible conditions bad smell and toilet was leaking and very dirty had urine all around the bottom of the toilet . No remote asked for extra pillows front desk said they had none
- Verified traveler (2/5): Please don’t stay here - This room had no doors on the cabinets not even a lamp on the table you had to go across the room two turn the horable light on and off. The WiFi that was free would not even load on my phone unless you paid the up charge so the WiFi was not free. The room looked old and rundown. Stated they had amities in the room when I made the reservation and did not. when telling them about it those things magically now say upon request.. Waiting at the front desk for 10 15 mints at a time for anything. And if I could have gotten my money back I would I have went somewhere else! After trying to just chalking it up to a bad experience and just letting it go and getting out of there. I could because they started charging me damage charges for nothing. Called and the lady was just as nasty as the room was. I requested certain thing I doubled checked to make sure. Omg worst hotel in this area please save your money and go somewhere else
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Not sure I stayed in many Hotels in the last month. They all run together. I do know we approved of this one
- Verified traveler (8/5): - It was very good as always. Close to any place that i was need to be, clean and very nice people at the desk. I recommend this hotel.
- Caren (2/5): - There was bodily fluids on our bed and the entire floor smelled. The state of the room was unacceptable.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - You get what you pay for. This is not a safe place for a famiky.
- Verified traveler (6/5): lone traveler - I am little disappointed in this as an extended stay for travelers that fly in to the area no pots and pans and no service items more like a partial furnished apartment
- Kelvin (2/5): - The hotel was nice and clean but there were no supplies in the room. No cups, no eating or cooking utensils, broken stove top.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Just didn’t safe outside the front door. Price of a middle class hotel, felt like being in a Knights Inn
- John (4/5): Never again - Terrible location, it catered more to people living there then a motel.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - I didn’t like anything about my stay. First room I went in smell like pee. They don’t change out the sheets but once a week. The beds are too small and fill like they about to fall apart
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The staff was VERY VERY helpful and friendly. The vending machines stole money and have very little drink options actually stocked. The bathroom in our non-smoking room smelled of cigarette smoke to the point that we did not leave anything in there. The rest of the room was clean and did not smell. Overall, we enjoyed our experience
- Brady (2/5): Go someplace else - For the price you would think they would include a cheap breakfast. Room smelled moldy. Bed was extremely uncomfortable. Don’t expect more than one towel per person. And one wash cloth. If you are just looking for a sleep go to a econo lodge or even some other cheaper hotel and you will get a better nights sleep. Will definitely not visit any of these establishments again.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - wonderful property
- Verified traveler (10/5): Over night trip - Great night clerk Nef. Friendly check in. Clean room. Just no ice machine and the vending soda machine didn't work. Overall great stay
- Joseph (2/5): Disgusting-stay away! - This place was disgusting. It reeked of some unidentifiable but horrendous odor. The cabinets had no doors. The toilet barely flushed. The bed was broken and sloped to one corner.
- Melinda (4/5): Won’t stay here again. - This was the most generic hotel I’ve ever stayed in. We only got 2 towels (no hand towels, wash cloths), no hair dryer, shampoo or any aminities at all. The beds were the cheapest possible mattress they could find. The cabinets had no doors. The bathroom corners were black and grungy. It reminded me of an old dorm room.
- Jay (4/5): - The property is adjacent to the interstate highway, so the room was noisy. The hotel is dingy and smelt of cigarette smoke. Staff was friendly.
- jonathan (6/5): - The hotel itself is fine but to get into the hotel you have to do u turns and u turns to get out of it but the stay was fine and the room was clean
- Verified traveler (4/5): - It is on a major interstate and is frequently by season workers with loud trucks. It is clean, but strictly no bones. Not even a coffee maker in the room. No food offered, no breakfast of any kind.
- Douglas (4/5): I'd recommend going elsewhere. - Booked a non-smoking room 2 days before arriving, but was told non were available when I arrived. Should have just told them to forget it, but I didn't want to drive further. Elevator took me up to a dingy 4th floor that smelled of stale cig smoke. Room was small and spartan - reminded me of a college dorm room with a kitchenette. Overhead lighting only - which was harsh and not comfortable to watch TV with. Tiny twin bed was hard as a rock. A/C unit was so noisy I had to completely turn it off to go to sleep. Poor water pressure took forever to wash soap & shampoo off. Right next to busy highway, so lots of road noise. Cheap furniture well worn. Still don't know why they call it "suites" as they only have small single and double bed rooms.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - I assumed an extended stay room with a kitchen would have some supplies on hand. Not one plate, bowl, mug, cooking pan or silverware was provided. I flew into Columbia. no room to bring these supplies. There was no hair dryer and only 2 bath towels, 2 washcloths and one bath mat. I don't drink coffee but noted that for more money, you could use a coffee maker. The room was dingy, a little bright paint doesn't cost much. Guests have to take their own garbage to a dumpster way at the back of the parking lot. There were issues with the smoke alarms that caused a firetruck to be in the parking lot at 6'00 on a Saturday morning. In short, if you want to stay with nothing in the room, this is the place. One more thing, the bed made awful breaking noises during the night which didn't encourage restful sleep. I do not recommend this hotel and do not plan to stay here again.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Double paying for room
-
Paid for room on Orbitz and had to paid again when checking in. Front desk said they did not take online reservations- not helpful at all! Will not ever book there again- very disappointing!
- M (8/5): Mediocre Hotel - Basically clean. As a place to stay short term or long, seems to get the job done. Decent priced, there is a newer one 20 miles down the interstate that is cleaner and cheaper, but this is in Lexington and it smells decent and people seem nice. Lock on laundry door doesn’t work, but everything else is fine.
- Jeffrey (8/5): Move from CA to SC - Served it’s purpose- clean & friendly. Bed was horrible.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - My staywasn't good at all. You got charged for internet dishes for it be an extended stay it was the worst.
- coy (2/5): Poor management - Loud noises in hall until app 4 am. Night manager and another person outside at 2am smoking talking loud waking me again . Not a place anyone in their mind would want to stay
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Long term stay hotel, so be aware! Little noisy and had some "interesting" smells and sounds.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - The bathroom fan was very noisy and came on each time you turned on the bathroom light. The single ceiling light in the kitchen area only worked if all the other lights were on. The mattresses were sliding off the platform every time you got in or out of the bed. I don't think we will be staying there again.
- Skyyforce (8/5): - The room is comfortable and cozy. Easy access and clean.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Nasty Hotel - Nasty spots on the bed comforter and sheets. Room spelled horrible. Halls were nasty
- Nicklaus (4/5): Wouldn’t recommend - I picked this hotel because it was one of the cheapest options in where I was headed. So I didn’t set my standards too high. But they fell extremely short. Let’s starts by the odd smell in the main hotel corridors. Then we can move on the the STINK that smacked me in the face every time I opened my door to enter room. Overall cleanliness wasn’t horrible when I first arrived. Also, the bed was horrible. I felt like I was laying on springs with just a sheet on top. My back hurt for most of my trip because of that. My two biggest problems were that 1) I was there 5 days and not once then room service tend to my room. I’m not a messy person so honestly it wouldn’t have been much for them to do; like make my bed or something. 2) Since there was no room service that means I never got linen changed. I understand there was a sign in the hall that said if I needed new linen I could bring my dirty linen to front desk for exchange. But no, I don’t feel as though should have to go through all that for new towels (sheets didn’t bother me so much). Like I said in the beginning, I didn’t set my standards too high knowing it was a cheap hotel but these are just a few things that bugged me to no end.
- Chantal (10/5): Spectacular - The place was really clean. We got a smoking room but it did not smell like smoke. I’m a clean freak and it was amazingly clean.
- Sam (4/5): DO NOT STAY AS YOU PAY FOR EVERYTHING @ - This EXTENDED stay hotel didn't let the guest know, prior to reserving that you have to bring your own coffee maker, pots and pans, utensils, plates etc. We stay at extended stays so to lower our cost by cooking in our room. By time we would of bought everything and not being able to take it with us as we flew to South Carolina, it was not worth it. Had to ask for fresh towels only to be told to come back later as there were no clean towels. A day later we finally get the towels. Had to TAKE OUR OWN TRASH OUTSIDE. The beds were cheap IKEA beds with no support. HBO never worked. None of this was ever stated on the hotel page that the guest would have to supply all the above. Worst experience ever@
- Jesus (2/5): Worst hotel ever - Where’s service they stole my jacket a $300 jacket I will never stay in that hotel again they still
- Robert (10/5): The best I've had - Very cozy I love to stay and I would like to come back again thank you
- Diana (10/5): Nice One - It was very nice
- Verified traveler (8/5): Okay Stay Overall - The lady that greeted me & checked me in was super nice! Comfy room in a decent location. The mattresses can use some upgrading. Our neighbor above wAs was extremely loud all night!
- Sam (2/5): No way should anyone stay here!! - This place was not worthy of being posted on your website. We arrived after dark, the parking lot was not lit, couldn't find the front door to the lobby, checked in and went to the room. After one look I went downstairs and cancelled my stay. The room was not very clean, it smelled awful and it certainly wasn't appealing.
- Regina (6/5): Ok stay - It was an ok stay. A little noisy I was next to the laundry room and could hear the door opening and closing all the time!
- Verified traveler (10/5): working woman on the road - This hotel is perfect for business trips.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Look Around If You Have Location Options - Room 109 smelled horribly - like someone had been microwaving fish or Indian food! Matress was hard and squeaky. One TINY bar of soap and NO coffee maker!
- Ivis (2/5): Bad experience - This Hotel was nothing like the pictures. I arrived and there were several people smoking in the front door. I got my room and there was urine all on the seat. The sheets were dirty and I had to get another room. The next room was better but not the best. I went to Walmart to get a washcloth, towel, disinfected wipes, sheets and Lysol. For the price it was not worth it. I do not recommend this hotel at all.
- Brittney (4/5): Don't recommend - Smelled like cigarettes and mildew. The elevator broke down as well so had to take stairs to the 4th floor with 3 kids.
- Todd (6/5): - Do not stay here unless you understand what this place is. It is billed as an "extended stay" hotel but it is not like any one that I have stayed at. Bring your own pots and pans, your forks and spoons and anything else you may need or be prepared to purchase your own cheap set from the hotel for more than they are worth. These rooms are only serviced every other week. .... I'm just going to stop here and leave an analogy if you compare this to all the cereal boxes in the grocery isle this is the one that is in a plain white bow with the label "Cereal" in quotes.
To be fair they cut alot out to bring the price down. If you are prepared for this type of stay you will be happy with the cost to value you receive.
- Tony (2/5): Stay anywhere else - The staff was pleasant on check in. The room however was anoter issue. The room smelled of water damage and a large water stain outside the door seemed to support this. There is a small kitchenette but you have to pay extra for any utensils, and the cabinets had no doors on them. They looked as if they were just being put up or taken down.
Finally, the worst part of the stay, the fire alarms went off from 4 in the morning until 7 in the morning. The fire department came but said it was a faulty sensor, no actual fire.
They might be able to fix some of this but why take the risk.
- Jaysen (6/5): Clean and comfortable but lacking amenities - Property was clean and accessible. They only have double beds no kings or queens. The room was clean but no amenities were I. The room. 3 people were registered and only two towels were in the room. Good property for the price but nothing special.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Mediocre, at best - They only would give 2 towels and 2 wash clothes at a time. When you needed extra, you had to take the soiled ones down and exchange them. We asked for 1 extra towel but were refused. No ice machine, just old ice trays in the freezer and the cabinet doors were missing. There was an old cigarette smell every where we went. We had trouble with the keycard so the desk clerk asked if we had been drinking...
- j.bradley (4/5): No place to sit outside. - All guests have to stand around the parking area or sit in their car,i do,just to read a book.no one should be stuck in the room ! !
- Seth (4/5): - Had a crack head try to steal my cooler out of the back of my truck!
- Jeremy (10/5): Friendly and convenient:) - Had a great stay. I was in town to attend a funeral. They were nice enough to let me wait until 12:30pm to check out since the funeral wasn't until 2. I love the town of Lexington, SC. Will definitely be back.
- Carlos (8/5): - For work purpose it was a good hotel. We had to ask for clean towels and for them to clean the room because they did not do it daily but besides that it was nice to have the little kitchen there so we could cook instead of eating out everyday. We travel a lot and think from not on we will be looking for a hotel like this.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Pillows smelled bad. Hallways smelled really bad on 3rd floor.
- tales (6/5): - The elevator was broke n I had a room on the 3rd floor .. it appears this is a place people live not just a hotel. The bed was a cheap mattress that hurt my back it was all springs n the room looked worse then my original college dorm room it had very standard cheap basic furniture metal chair cheap wood night stand n desk . It could use a real scrubbing and replace the cheap towels n shower curtains
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The bed was not comfortable. There was one pretty good pillow. The other was too hard. Shampoo was not furnished and the bar of soap was very small. There were two straight chairs having plastic molded seats which were not comfortable to sit in to watch TV. I'm not sure there was maid service during my stay. Perhaps because it is an extended stay motel.
Although no fault of the motel, entrance is only from US 1 eastbound and exit is only to US 1 eastbound because there are steel lane dividers in US 1 in front of the motel entrance & Exit. Location is handy to I-20. Staff I encountered were friendly and helpful.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Some good, some not so much. - I think this facility would be good for a single person wanting a fairly inexpensive place to stay and can deal with a lack of luxury. It can be a little uncomfortable for two people. For instance, just 2 (kinda thin) bath towels so my wife didn't have a towel for her hair like she's accustomed to. There was one very small bar of hand soap that we both had to share for everything and there was no shampoo, which is traditionally provided by hotels.
We expected a queen bed, but it was a double bed that was obviously placed on a platform designed for a queen. Other than that, the place was clean and fairly quiet. It served our purpose of providing a place for one night.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Sleepless night - The room smelled of stale Italian food upon entry. Walking in the building didn't feel safe as there were ppl lurking all around the premises. Our full size bed felt like a cardboard box. I was ready to leave upon waking at 4 am due to being uncomfortable.
- Skinny (10/5): Family emergency in unfamiliar city - Was grateful to find that my choice in accommodations, in an unfamiliar town, during a family emergency, turned out to be perfect. Location was convenient to family, shopping & hospital. Room was immaculate. Staff was friendly & accommodating.
- Amber (8/5): Worth it - Good hotel for the price.
- Jennifer (4/5): Not adequate for the low price - hotel couldn't find my reservation (made through hotels.com). couldn't convince the desk clerk to call them to get it, so I called myself to get the ball rolling. ridiculous chain of events to get checked in. rooms do not come equipped with bath amenities or coffee or even a hair dryer or ironing board. bed was softest lumpiest one I've ever slept in. will not be staying here again.
- Moshe (4/5): Looks extremely are deceiving - Appearance from outside very inviting but that's it. Entrance smells like smoke. Need a key to enter from front. Bare minimum. No plates no cups tiny towels. Our room had the clothes of people from the previous stay there. Huge stain on sheets. Asked for replacement was given something else. Thankfully only a one day stop but I would never stay there again
- Kimberly (2/5): - Tried to add one day earlier to my reservation. Their phone lines were not working. They charged me more for that night. Told them I would check out 2 days earlier) with a 9 day notice and they would not credit me anything. Only clean your room once a week. Your responsible to take out your garbage, go get towels if needed, no ice machine. This hotel is not female friendly. I received a call at 10:32 pm to tell me to walk out to the dumpster for my trash!!! Walls are too thin. Guest above me stomps all night long, complained my first night and was told walls are thin, just call when it happens. You get what you pay for. I should have stayed at another hotel. Extended stay I still had room service everyday if I wanted. They still took my trash if I needed. Not a happy female right now.
- MW (6/5): - Didn't realize it was a long term stay hotel so surprised by "full kitchen". 2 chairs in the room, neither very comfortable, 2 towels and 2 washcloths....; bed was okay but pillows were thin and sucked. And access to the hotel? Very problematic at night time. I won't stay here again.
