chadwH4219WS (2/5): Not military friendly - Travels to Fort Lee to attend son’s Military Graduation on January 28,2026. Planes to stay here following graduation before we flew out the next day. Snow storm hits and the base is closed for 3 days and graduation was moved to the 29th. Called and explained the situation and was told because of the storm I would be refunded. NEVER REFUNDED. Called in again and was told it was policy and not their fault the Military closed the base. they are more concerned about their $200 then doing what is right.
KimberlyAnne71 (10/5): Soccer weekend ! - We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. From check in, the valet, and check out! The gentleman at the front desk during check in was kind and extremely helpful . He was knowledgeable about the hotel and the area we were going later in the day. Our room was nice and clean with a partial view of the baseball stadium. We didn’t take advantage of the complimentary breakfast, we made a quick exit this morning due to the weather event coming in today. Check out was easy and the gentleman at the front desk this morning was also super helpful and easy going. We did utilize the valet. That was a quick turn around for our car and the valet also helped us with our luggage into the car.

Catalina (10/5): - The hotel was exceptionally clean from the spacious lobby to the well-maintained rooms, ensuring a comfortable stay. We visited for a concert at the National Park Stadium, and the hotel's location was perfect, offering easy access to the venue. Once we handed over our car to the valet parking service, we didn't have to worry about parking or security throughout our visit. There were numerous dining options nearby, ranging from casual cafes to upscale restaurants, making it convenient to find a meal at any time. The area felt very safe for walking, even at night. I would definitely consider staying here again if we attend another event in the area. The front desk staff were highly professional, attentive, and eager to assist with any requests, which enhanced our experience. Overall, I have no complaints and would recommend this hotel to others.
463ayeshas (2/5): Terrible - Do not stay here!!! Customer service is awful! Andrew is awful and very nasty! When I arrived they said valet was booked! We parked at Whole Foods 5 blocks away. Which was an inconvenience with bags, so we had to catch uber, they do not offer shuttle service, or anything for the inconvenience. They said I had to pay for valet in advance! This was the only overnight parking in the area! Which was $74 a night. When we arrived they said it was a security deposit, and I would get it back next day when I leave. Ok so when I checked out, I asked when I would get my deposit he said 24 hours. Well that did not happen, so I contacted the hotel. Well guess what he said I had valet on my bill I said no I did not your valet was booked! Andrew stated he was going to investigate the valet company, I said when he said, when I feel like it! Please don’t stay here! Worst experience and customer service! There something shady going on at this hotel! They take your money putting other cars on your room to collect money!

David (10/5): - First let me start by saying the staff was very very friendly and welcoming and even the valet I’m not sure if they were associated with the hotel but they were very friendly as well. The property was very nice and clean except the mosquitoes in the lobby but I stayed at another hotel in DC and they had the same problem so I’m assuming it’s an ongoing issue everywhere. All in all everything was great I was in town for a concert and it was super convenient because it was a short 2-3 minute walk from the hotel I enjoyed everything about it I would definitely stay again

What I’m not understanding is if the valet is for the hotel why was it full & I booked months ago. So I had to walk blocks from my car which I drive around for 2 hours trying to find a park. I checked in at 5:15pm but didn’t walk inside my room until 7:30! This is definitely unacceptable. I will be calling corporate because someone has to explain why I didn’t have a place to park where I paid to sleep .

I feel like if I booked a room and spent my money, I should be able to park where I am staying. Luckily, we found a garage that was a 10 minute walk from the hotel. I understand there was a big event, in which I attended myself. But if I paid to spend the night there, I should have been able to get valet or park at the property. I shouldn’t have had to walk a distance with my luggage. When I called, the lady was kind of rude. But overall the stay was nice, it’s just the parking situation.

The toilet stopped working a couple of times and maintenance was not onsite at the time to help and no other rooms available so our stay was not enjoyable. Raymond (10/5): - This Hampton Inn location is definitely my go to first when booking for a DC United match. Simple, friendly staff, clean room, good well stocked breakfast, with good coffee options. Parking valet fees increase, but I figure companies must make some profit and I do not have many other options. The convenience is a huge factor, so it is built into the budget.

Maggie (10/5): Great stay - Front desk was happy and helpful. Room was very clean and comfortable. We were there for a ball gameand we loved the rooftop bar after the game. Only advice, if you are staying on the weekend and use the valet, plan accordingly. The hotel was completely booked. We waited 20 minutes for the elevator and ended up taking the stairs. The valet took 45 minutes to get our car. Not a huge deal, but we had to change some plans. The valets were awesome and were working their tails off. Would stay here again for sure. Awesome location.

The only thing I didn't like was the couch in the lobby directly in front of the front desk, it is worn, and needs to be replaced. The leather is discolored and is very noticeable when you enter the property and it takes away from the rest of the beautifully decorated lobby.

895robertr (10/5): One Night Stay after Baseball Game - Stayed at this property when it opened over 10-years ago, and recently stayed again for a baseball game. Property is directly across street from baseball stadium & one block from subway access. It has been maintained well & improved with digital keys & contactless check-in & check-out. Very clean, increased security with room key needed for elevator access to guest floors. King bed room was clean & comfortable, and surprisingly quiet even though adjacent to elevators. Mini-refrigerator & in-room safe but no microwave. Ample AC power plugs at desk including USB. Good wifi connection. Bulk toiletries in bath. Free breakfast included sausage, potatoes, premade omelets, self-make waffles, juices, cereals, yogurt, fruits. Fairly crowded at Saturday breakfast but ample seating. Definitely consider if in area again.

JillClardy (8/5): Perfect Location to Visit the Washington Nationals Ballpark - We stayed here for 1 night at the start of our 6-city MLB baseball stadium tour. The hotel is perfectly located, just across the street from the stadium. We had time to enjoy a drink on the rooftop bar that overlooks the stadium. The hotel is in a nice area that has undergone a lot of urban renewal and is safe and well-lit with many restaurants nearby. The nice short walk back after the game was a real bonus. The room was clean, quiet and comfortable. The included breakfast is very basic - rubbery scrambled eggs and pastries served on disposable plates and cups with plastic utensils in the crowded lobby area. You might do better by surveying the neighborhood for a more satisfying breakfast.

Exceptional customer service from all employees from front desk agents Frank, Allen and Andrew were exceptional! Such attention to detail and always making sure we had everything we needed! My hands were full one morning and Andrew made sure to help me w my belongings and even Orlando who is maintenance was so kind as well! Also, cannot say enough about cleanliness of property! Everything was exceptional!

Emily (4/5): - Parking for guests is valet only and very expensive. You can park overnight in the garage east of the building for a fraction of the cost. It was also very noisy, as the room we were in was on the side against a building with a rooftop bar/club. In the evening/night there are often people lingering outside the doors smoking substances. Would not stay with family unless attending a baseball game.

Friendly daytime front desk staff; breakfast every morning (could use a larger space - gets crowded on weekends); rooftop bar with really cool view into Nationals Park. Tiny room with a view of the HVAC system - I often wonder if that view is bc we book with Hotels.com. Not the first time we've run into almost the exact same situation. Room & bath were extremely clean; towels are provided 1/person, tiny& don't dry you well.

Kelly (10/5): Decent - Breakfast was included with the stay and was pretty good. They had lots of options but the space was very small. The bed seemed comfortable but each morning I woke up sore. We did find a roach in one of our suitcases after arriving home.

Diane M (6/5): Overbooked - Despite calling in advance, I had to leave my room and get moved to another. That was actually OK given the sink in the bathroom wasn't draining properly but annoying. The roof top bar is nice but your view of the game is minimal. I guess you can watch on the flat screen TV at the roof top bar. Be sure to text the valet early when you are leaving. We waited for 45 minutes.

marygA2323WZ (6/5): The good and the bad…. - My family and I stayed here for 3 days in early August. We picked this location because we were catching a Nationals game and wanted to be within walking distance. I had high expectations but they were soon dashed. There were good and bad and I will outline both starting with the good: The hotel staff were very friendly and responsive to our requests such as for towels. The location of the hotel is perfect if you are going to a Nationals game The air conditioner in the room worked great Now the bad: The beds were some of the most uncomfortable I have ever experienced and the pillows were flat. Very disappointing considering Hamptons usually have good beds. The lobby and breakfast area was so incredibly hot each day The breakfast was disappointing. I don’t know why Hampton Inn breakfasts have gotten so poor in the last few years but they have really decreased in quality This Hampton inn only offered service of the room every other day but when we returned to our room only one of our beds had been made and although we had 4 people in the room they replenished only enough towels for 2 people - this was a 2 bedded room We ate lunch on the roof top bar and although the food was better than expected, there is no table service so you need to order your food at the bar and pick up your own food at the bar. This lack of table service also means the tables don’t get wiped off so that’s great! Then of course there is a section on the bill to tip them for their service which puts you in an awkward position. I would definitely say that the bad out weighs the good and I would find a different hotel to stay at if I ever go to a Nats game again. I think you should consider this as well.

The lobby and breakfast areas are extremely hot in the summer, especially while the waffle irons are on. But the room was spectacular. A/c was great, tons of room, and a great view. And only a block from the ballpark, which was extra great when we left the Nats game. Will be back for sure.

Katherine (10/5): Perfect Nats hotel - This hotel is perfect for a Nats game. The stadium entrance is literally across the street from the hotel. There are tons of restaurants and a metro station in the same block as the hotel. The rooftop bar is cool, we listened in on a concert at Nats stadium one night. You probably wouldn't be able to see any baseball from the roof (blocked by the parking deck solar panels) but could probably hear what was happening in the stadium enough to make it fun. The breakfast was good, standard Hampton inn fare, staff were all friendly. The area is walkable, there's waterfront dining nearby. We ate at Swizzler next door to the hotel, burger was delicious--highly recommend. Saturday morning after a Friday night game the hotel lobby was slammed...standing room only at breakfast and seemed like a lot of people were just taking food up to their room. Valet was quick, staff was quick to supply extra towels when needed. We spent a little more on a hotel than we would typically spend on an excursion but we wanted to be able to leave the game and not worry about transportation and we like the navy yard area.

Terri (8/5): Great hotel and location - It was mostly great. Only issue was elevators. There were 2. One broke. Every guest who was trying to check out or come down to breakfast was competing with the hotel cleaning staff and their big carts.
Holly (8/5): - One of the elevators broke down Saturday and wasn't fixed until Tuesday, the day we left. The hotel was full with many staying for the concert at Nationals Stadium so it was a long wait to get upstairs although security did try to help those in wheelchairs get on quicker. Most understood except one hotel guest who was unwilling to cooperate. Otherwise, the staff was helpful, the rooms clean and well appointed, and breakfast had a nice selection. Ms. V was wonderful, helpful and helped make the stay extra special. Despite the elevator issue, I would choose this location again.
Jennifer (10/5): Navy Yard area - Great location! Walkable to plenty of restaurants. The breakfast was pretty good and staff was friendly. It was very hot in DC so it would’ve been great if there was a pool.
