Guest Reviews
- Marisela (6/5): - Bed was comfortable. Liked that it was walking distance to the downtown main street. Shower sometime released small amounts of water sometines more...We did find a few bugs in our room upon arrival. A/C worked well.
- Jose (4/5): - Check in time suppost to be at noon, which is why i decided to stay there. I got there around 1pm and was told that only 1 room was ready and it was the only one without air conditioned and the other rooms will be ready in about 2 hours, i took the available room, on the way there there were lots of flies everywhere, loud music in some rooms and very basic installations. I ended up leaving around 4pm.
- David (2/5): - The room smelled bad and bathroom was moldy.
I checked out 4 hours later.
I do not recommend this hotel at all!
- Edgar (6/5): - Roaches in the facility and moldy carpet smell. Other than that it's worth the price you pay.
- JAMES (8/5): LAST TRIP BEFORE DD214/ACCOUNTS CLOSE! JBF - ALL WAS GOOD-I PREFER THE HOTEL. I HAVE USED THE HOTEL FOR YEARS! JF
- Genaro Antonio (10/5): - Es bueno, me sirve, pero la zona no es bonita. Pero si lo vale.
- Roan (2/5): - The worst hotel ever
- Gerardo (6/5): - Okay
- james (8/5): - I use the Hotel when I am Writing Case Reports. Staff speak some English.
- james (8/5): Good Place in Border Area. - All Good. Water Cooler is Nice. I stay here for Case Work-Rest. Affordable. JF
- Verified traveler (8/5): Basic but clean - I needed a downtown basic and inexpenisve overnight to take a flight the next day. It worked for this.
- Trevor D (10/5): - staff was friendly no problems..parking on site was great
- James (10/5): - I USE THE HOTEL FOR REST AND CASE WORK. JF
- James (8/5): - I STAY HERE DURING CASE MANAGEMENT OPERATIONS AT MEXICO. I AM U.S. GOVERNMENT. JF
- Ted (2/5): - Hotel was NOT what their photos show. Prostitutes in and out, cockroaches inside the room, many stains on the bed sheets and pillow cases, furniture broken and with many cigarrette burns, a/c controlled by front desk person with a remote, parking lot dirty next to a big construction site, room door lock broken, they take your drivers license every time you step outside to the parking lot. I refused to stay and demanded a refund, they laughed at me and told me NO, I did not stay not even a day. Very unsafe dirty place.
- Valentina (2/5): - The worse, terrible
- James (8/5): - WHEN I MAKE CASE CLOSINGS, REPORTS I WORK HERE. IS PERFECT FOR ME. MILITARY AND NATIONAL POLICE SECURITY MACHINES ARE ACTIVE. YOU NEED NOT WORRY NOR CALL POLICE, MACHINES FIX FIRST. IS THE MEXICO BORDER ZONE TO MILITARY AREA AT SAN DIEGO NAVY. JF
- Edgar (6/5): - Roaches in the room getting in my luggage. But good price for the room. Except for the roach plague.
- JAMES (8/5): - THE HOTEL IS COMMON FOR ME OVER YEARS FOR WORK. AIR CONDITIONING IS THERE, IS END OF QUIET STREET. JUST OUTSIDE OF SECURITY NOISE AT BORDER CROSSING. AFFORDABLE WITH BASIC CABLE. I AM CASE MANAGER FOR FEDERAL AND MILITARY, WORKS WELL. GOOD SECURITY DEVICES, WELL HIDDEN. HAS LAUNDROMAT AND DOCTOR, DENTIST IN PLAZA. JF
- Thami (4/5): - I don’t like it so dirty 😞
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Run down place honestly. Looks nice though. Not spotless. Wasn’t robbed. Nice vibes
- Mike (4/5): Budget price reflects poor condition - Budget hotel. Not recommend for more than one night due to mold and lack of ventilation
The budget price reflects the poor condition of rooms and stained pillows, sheets and towels
- Delia (2/5): Fatal - Una experiencia horrible ya que estando casi una noche de salir del hotel me amenazaron de muerte en la habitación y el de recepción está con esas personas vinculadas
- Olga (4/5): - Never clean my room the service was not good cheap but not good service
- EdinKrnic (2/5): The worst ever in my life - This is really the worst accommodations I been. Very unfriendly and unhelpful staff. They asked for deposit but I couldn’t understand why. I do not recommend to nobody this hotel. On pictures looks different and better.
- Elias Resa (2/5): - Didn't like anything about this hotel left within an hour to another none
- Alma (4/5): - It looks dirty, too much noise, and it smells too much of a cigarrette
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The hotel itself is nice , the staff is great and acommadating. Maintenance really need to stay on top of what is breaking down. I stayes in a room tha requires a remote for the A/C unit yet I was not given a remote, I wasn't given a T.V remote either. If I come and stay at a hotel I want those remotes so that I can be lazy. Work on those things and I'd put this at a 3 star hotel..
- Verified traveler (8/5): - It's ok , it is what you pay for. The staff is friendly. The hotel is falling apart though
- Andy (8/5): - The hotel is nice for the price, it's fairly clean. They could get a better vaccum and an edger.
- Sophia (2/5): - It was a small room with no working ac at 80 degree weather never staying there again
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Good value, inexpensive, someone always at front desk to help
- pedro (2/5):
this place is disgusting -
ever since I started walking down the hall, I smelled like a cigarette. When I opened the door, the room had a bad smell, the tables were tanned, the carpet very dirty. I was even sick just seeing this room. I do not recommend anyone to stay in this place, much less in these times when cleaning is very important. I did not stay in this place.
- Sylena (4/5): Horrible experience - To begin, we requested a double bed when we got there they had not seen out reservation and gave out the last double bed room to another couple that didn’t need the double bed we had my baby with me, second they double charged me when I got there. The bathroom was filthy and still had other trash from the previous day.
I won’t not come back here ever again. It was so loud at night by other people staying and you can hear all the noise from the other rooms.
- Erik (4/5): - The place looks nice but the room wanst 100% clean, it had a weird smell and I heard claiming to be "reception ", the guys refuse to open the door, then he was told he "needed to pay more" and then forced to open the door, heard fight and a cry and asking not to be hit, I felt so unsecure and unsafe and then left the place, spent the night at other place
- Wen (2/5): - I stayed there many times years before. It was clean then. Now is terrible. It smells bad and has bugs crawling. I asked the staff to change the room, pretty much the same. It is shameful to make $4 commission from this listing.
- Mariana (2/5): - I only liked the location otherwise everything else was terrible. They didn’t inform me that the check in for online booking was at the upper level instead of the main lobby and the staff were young people who didn’t seem to care or worry about a thing. They helped once I asked if they could help and they asked to keep my license or give them 300 pesos for security which I have never heard of before. The room was small and not very clean and for the entire stay there was no running water so I had to use bottled water to wash my face and hands and so I couldn’t take a shower. Once sleeping a little after midnight some women came knocking at my door saying in Spanish- were here. I said wrong room, it’s occupied and they laughed and left. Needless to say I didn’t sleep much and when I turned on the tv it was set up to a pornographic video which if my daughter wouldn’t of been there I understand but they knew I had a child with me at least they should of wanted me or have actual family rooms. That was embarrassing and disgusting. Not a safe or family friendly place to stay at but if it’s just to party and have fun with running water it’s works great for that ambience but not to rest and feel safe and clean and rested. I hope they just advertise exactly how it is so that people with children or elderly people don’t stay there. Thanks!
- Verified traveler (2/5): - I did not stay at this hotel the condition was unsafe unhealthy smelly stains on bed and pillows and electrical wires were hanging with no protection.
I checked in went to the room and immediately checked out.this was not acceptable condition for a hotel and I would like a total refund.
- Wallace (4/5): Roaches - Roaches, roaches, and more roaches.
- OscarHernandez (6/5): - I would like to sustain the cleanleness on the carpets, is very dirty for my children.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - AFFORDABLE IN A QUIET NEIGHBORHOOD. THE HOTEL IS SIMPLE. A LAUNDROMAT IS AT LOWEST FLOOR. THIS IS A PROPERTY IN RURAL MEXICO. JF
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Definitely that place is not for longer stays. Disappointed
- JorgeG (4/5): - everything was ok except the bathroom, had water leak all over the bath, I reported and plumber "fixed" 10 minutes later was leaking again it seem that the plumber tried to fix it several times before without good results, other than that was ok, I guess I got for what I paid, is a cheap hotel
- Maria (10/5): Not good at all - Not happy with the room, no outlets to charge phone, no lamps, bathroom not working very well, the shower was sprinkled water all over the place. Toylet had to open the tank to flash the toilet. Not enough light on the room and bathroom.
- Hector (8/5): - i like the fact that i was able to park my vehicle in parking lot that appears to be safe section of the hotel. i was there 2 days and the rooms are private the only problem is the noise from the street and alarms outside are frequent even until the night. it would appear the general area of the hotel is in a sketchy area of tj. but it is close enought to buses or calafia routes for me. i'm from tj originally so if you know the bus systems this place will work for you.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - They hold on to your ID card for as long as you stay there, if you are going to need your documents for any transaction while in Tijuana don't stay here!
- Eric (8/5): Tijuana 2 nights - Nice hotel, I enjoyed my stay will recommend
- Martha (8/5): Mostly, acceptable for the price. - The lamp in the room had no bulb and the phone was disconnected. There were too much voices from other rooms at night, however, not a big deal.
- Joel (2/5): Prejudice Mexicans who smell - They were extremely prejudice and kicked me outta here he room at 7 am I want a full refund
- Verified traveler (4/5): - We arrived very late, around 1 am. However, early on the day, probably in the morning I sent an email through the Expedia relay system to the motel, which they never cared to check, to inform them of our late arrival and to avoid for the managers to unscrupulously sell our prepaid room, as some hotels do.
On my reservation I paid for an upgrade and as I arrived I was told that those rooms weren't even available. So we were given a standard room, which cost a about 30% less but were never offered to refund the difference. The attitude pretty much was, SOL. At the same time we were informed that the property is a sex motel and that only an area is reserved as a "family hotel" for people that can't afford to stay at a regular hotel.
I could keep on going but I think you get the picture. Would I stay there ever again ? Definitely not.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Excellent service and very friendly and kind reasonable
- Scott (4/5): Stayed in much better for even cheaper - Only worth staying if it's cheapest option available. Made me give them my passport while I stayed. All electric outlets were so loose nothing stayed plugged in. No soap in room at all. Blood stains on floor. Decent for extreme budget one night stay. Physically checked room before letting me check out and get passport back. Surprised a hotel like this on hotels.com
- Verified traveler (6/5): - No way to turn on the ac had to go to the front desk only had one remote control for the whole property the lady came in our room and set it for us. Akso tv remote was broken with black tape around it.
- Matthew (8/5): - Clean and quite. Off the beaten path.
- Jorge (2/5): - Very disappointment.
I was try to take shower, without water in the hotel ..
- Jorge (2/5): Don’t stay here - It was terrible ac wasn’t working and customer service was awful
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Easy to access, plenty of parking, no frills, just a descent place to relax and sleep. Price: can't complain
- Customer (8/5): Central located - Reasonable rates, clean, friendly staff, easy to locate, ample parking .
- Verified traveler (6/5): Uneven bed - Rooms is okay for the price. But bed was lopsided!
- Frank (4/5): - Did not find hotel . No street signs. We were lost. And no phone service. Thank you
- Jonny (10/5): - Clean and quiet rooms !! Friendly employees ;)
- laura (2/5): House Keeping Stole my brand new nike shoes - I would not recommend ever staying here I just bought nike air max pink in color and i have the reciept they cost alot anyways they were in my suitcase when we checked out the hotel i seen them in my suitcase in the morning i had left my room sevral times to get food and load my stuff in car when we checked out and left we got to where we were going and when i went get my nikes they were gone then when we went back twice first time she said housekeeping must have got them so we c ame back in morning with my recidept for shoes and nope now the story was nobody had seen any shoes when before the specifically said house keeping had them so now i am going to file a police report cause they stole my shoes how sad the only person with key besides us was hotel we didnt go anywhere else they stole my shoes so i wouldnt stay here ever
- Elijah (8/5): Satisfactory - You get what you pay for. Cleanliness was questionable and most of the hotel guests were certainly only there for hourly activities. They do not speak English. However, they pateiently tolerated my broken Spanish, so no problem there. 300 peso deposit on the room. Short walk from la avenida revolucion and the restaurant half a block to the south will give you 2000 calories of the most delicious Mexican breakfast food on god's green earth for 60 pesos.
The staff were not overly friendly but always helpful and polite whenever I needed something from them. In short, you're getting a bed, hot shower, TV and wifi for $20 a night, so don't expect the four seasons. Given the price I would definitely stay here again though.
- andrew (2/5): No hot water - No hot water in shower.they tried another room ,same thing.got out of there without taking shower.it is not suitable for stay.
- Verified traveler (2/5): In tijuana - Bad mad reservation via expedia once arriving to hotel they said no rooms available for that night and no reservation found. We showed them the reservation number and they still said no. They send us away we where inform that charges on credit card won't be made to to the facility not having a room available.
My card was still charge called expedia and expedia only said they will contact the hotel after several try expedia response was charge are not refunded. Disappointed paid for a room we didn't even stay
- James (4/5): - This place is very run down and too far from the tourist areas for the price. I will cross this off my list forever. Do not be fooled by the pictures. I have stayed at much better right off Revolution for almost half the price.
- J (2/5): Not Your Cup of Tea - This hotel was truly a motel for hooking up with prostitutes. Bed sheets were not very well cleaned and the room had a terrible smell + the neighborhood was too noisy even with the AC on. I booked this hotel 2 days prior and paid and overpriced rate out of necessity, but I feel I was swindled. I don't think I will ever book anything through Orbitz again.
- Jesus (8/5): Literally into the plaza - No bad, but no family area, noisy.
- Verified traveler (10/5): I had a great night there. - I am been there a lot of times. The people there are very nice. They tried to accommodate in the right room where you feel comfortable.
- Pedro (2/5): not worthy of your stay - they didn't give me the room i reserved to start with. something about leaving my id for the room key and having to give back the room key when ever you left the hotel to go somewhere that you would need id to enter. but the price i paid should of known better won't go back for sure.. no remote for tv or ac
- noah (6/5): hotel is about 40mins away from Rosarito - This hotel is exactly what you pay for , it's a decent hotel for the price it is besides I don't really spend time in it just to sleep in and take a shower and then head out to beach ,I would really recommend it if you don't want to spend a lot of money on a hotel you're not gonna spend all day in.. The one thing I was really disappointed on was when I called twice for extra blankets , they never brought them to me .. I had to go to the front desk the next day and re-ask for them again until they brought them to me ! When it was a different front desk person.Besides that i would rate this hotel a 2 of 5
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Front desk did not allow 2 family members to visi for 30 min, one of them needed to use the restrom badly, they did not care.
Front desk told me i made a reservation for 2 ppl not 3, even i made reservation for 2 ppl i was staying by myself they would not refund me for only using one person.
- Jose (8/5): - Great place all in good condition
- skipholmes (4/5): any place but here - seeing i got in late on july 15th that even the room i had reserved just down the street they sent me to the hotel plaza hermosa.which was by far from hermosa.shotty little room with no window, and a tv with only a few channel and the zero,no a/c but a crappy little fan no glass for drinking from,an uncomfortable bed,so i went down to the original hotel the next day and was lucky to get a room for my last night,in tijuana......travelers please use this for your very last resort...NO BUENO !!!
- Verified traveler (6/5): - If you are looking for a cheap clean space to stay, nothing fancy.. then this is it.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - I stayed two nights.
First of all it is actually cheaper once you arrive there. The rooms are super small no toilet paper and I used a towel to wipe my heels the attendant made me hand wash the towel. There is also no parking really all the cars are really cramped. Not like the pictures. I was really hoping for more. It was a last minute booking though.
- Patrick (4/5): - They do not speak English. Plus make sure you have some money for deposits. Tv remote 300 pesos, A/C remote 100 Pesos. Almost the price of the room itself. Also they do not clean your room unless you give them the key back and tell them too. Unlike other hotels have house keeping do the rooms at check out times. What you pay for is what you get. I guess, was last minute option.
- Ruben (2/5): Not Happpy - No air condition very hot that day never stayed wouldn't recommend this place seen the place and run out !!. Going to get my money back
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Good experience. Use a taxi after 10pm. Otherwise the place was safe
- maria (2/5): Hotels.com and Hotel Plaza Hermosa lied! - Horrible experience booked our room "guaranteed room, card was charged and at check in our reservation was not honored! Front desk reception blamed Hotels.com for booking rooms unauthorized! Horrible service
- Matthew (8/5): Nice place - Good price. Clean and polite staff.
Not the closest place to downtown but it's the nicest for the price.
Will have to leave a deposit for the key.
- McLawyer_Nevada (8/5): Good, clean, quiet room - While it is a little south of the main part of Revolution, that makes it quiet; no club music pounding, little street traffic noise and the guests are quiet. The room was clean but the lamp did not have a bulb; the overhead light was more than enough. Could not get the television to turn on.
