We had someone singing and playing guitar right under our window at night. It is located in a pedestrian street, so one has to be dropped off a couple of blocks away and walk to the hotel with the luggage over cobble stones. The room was very small. The sliding door to the bathroom didn't close. It was mentioned to the reception, but nothing was done about it. Also the small fridge made a noise. Disrupting, especially at night.

• juliesG1939YG (10/5): Great boutique hotel - Great Small boutique hotel in the centre of Lisbon. The atmosphere was just right. We were made to feel so welcome on arrival with a local drink and pastry (natta). We arrived in the morning so the room wasn’t ready and left our luggage securely with the hotel. We got some advice on where to go to and enjoyed the area. The reception staff sent me a WhatsApp before the normal ready time to let us know our room wasn’t ready which was something I’ve never experienced before and showed their dedication to customer service. The room was spotlessly clean and quiet although we were on a busy pedestrianised street. The reception sorted out a tour for us and also kindly came out of the hotel to show us directions to our meeting point for a Fado show I’d pre-booked. Lots of choice for breakfast with quality options including cooked breakfast , pastries and fruits. I highly recommend Behotel and would stay there again if I return to Lisbon

There are lots of bars & restaurants in close proximity to the hotel. Many of the city's attractions are within walking distance, some up steep hills though! Rooms were quite small but very clean and comfortable. Our room had a small balcony overlooking the street. There was plenty of choice at breakfast, both hot and cold food. Staff were attentive and helpful. Very little storage in the rooms, could do with some drawers and certainly more hangers in the small wardrobe.

This isn’t a problem even with a mobility scooter. Very clean, quirky rooms. Staff are exceptional. Sorted out problems( not their doing) smartly and swiftly which was much appreciated. Mukava henkilökunta, siisti huone ja hyvä sänky. Huoneessa oli myös oma kahvikone espressolle ja tv. Todella hyvä vedenpaine suihkussa. Aamupala oli tarpeeksi laaja; munia eri muodossa, pekonia, nakkeja, papuja, sieniä, leikkeleitä, laaja leivonnaisvalikoima, erilaisia sämpylöitä ja todella hyvää kurpitsamarmeladia leivälle! Paras asia aamupalassa oli kypsät leikatut hedelmät. Keskeisen sijainnin takia alueen ravintoloista kantautuu ääniä huoneeseen, mutta kaikki hiljenee ennen puoltayötä myös viikonloppuna, koska ei ole kuitenkaan bilealue. Kaiken kaikkiaan todella miellyttävä hotelli, tulisin uudestaan!

The rooms were quite small but adequate. Very clean. Could do with more storage, perhaps some drawers on more clothes hangers. Our initial welcome was very positive and we got checked into one of our rooms early which we greatly appreciated after having a very early flight into Lisbon. Breakfast selection was very good, choice of hot & cold food, teas and coffee. Very reasonably priced for its location and we would book again. Definitely would recommended.

• Malte (9/5): Schöne Zeit in Lissabon - Das Hotel liegt schön zentral und parallel zur Haupteinkaufsstraße. Man kann von dort gut die Stadt und die angrenzenden Stadtteile erkunden. Die Betten waren bequem, das Personal sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Zimmer war eher klein/kompakt. Es sah jeden Tag wieder perfekt hergerichtet aus Das Frühstück bot eine große Auswahl an Brot, Brötchen und Süßgebäcken, Aufschnitt und Käse, Obst und Gemüse, etc .Heißgetränke wurden am Platz serviert. Die Fenster halten den Lärm gut ab, der zudem ab ca. 23h endet. Bis dahin ist es einstweilen etwas lauter (Restaurants in der Nähe, Musikbeschallung), aber vertretbar. Der Frühstücksraum ist kuschelig klein. Könnte für manche Gemüter zu eng sein. Ich fand es okay.

• TheLeongOhana (8/5): Great Location For Us - On our second trip to Lisbon, we picked the behotelisboa as our base. It was a great choice for us since we had already seen most of the city and just wanted a place close to anything that came to mind. Checkin and out was very efficient and staff were helpful and friendly throughout our stay. It was nice having complimentary pastels de nata in the lobby. A small lounge was located off to the right of the front desk and we enjoyed some of the pastel de natas here. Our room was comfortable and good size. A coffee machine, safe and refrigerator were include though a hot pot would’ve been great. However staff did bring up glasses of hot water when we wanted to make tea in the room. Breakfast was included every day and there was a good variety though when the buffet ran out of food it wasn’t replenished in timely manner. We were surprised to see papaya and kiwi fruit which was something not normally included in a breakfast buffet. Would return here on a future trip back to Lisbon.

Perfect location for exploring the city by foot with less mobile mother. The staff were wonderful - incredibly friendly and helpful. Bar on site, we didn't visit, but it looked very nice and the restaurant attached offered simple but delicious buffet for early morning breakfast. We would 100% recommend and return if we find ourselves in Lisbon again!

The room was spacious for what we needed it for and the bathroom was amazing. The housekeepers were, by far, the BEST we have ever had at any establishment. Kudos to them.... those ladies work so hard! We did opt for the breakfast daily and it was less than desirable. They need to change it up or offer different options, possibly omlets, french toast, etc. The buffet was a waste of money for us, as we did not utilize daily due to lack of choices! The hotel is located in the perfect spot for the Baixa neighborhood. You can literally walk everywhere or hop on the metro close by! Lots of shopping choices, cafes, restaurants. My only complaint is that the mattress needed replaced! The springs are sticking through and honestly, the bed was very uncomfortable. Pillow choices are great and so was bedding. It was just the mattress!

Heating was not working, they gave us slippers and a portable electric heater. A noisy one, but did the job. Thank you for a complimentary bottle of red wine, top floor room as requested and 20% discount for dinner at your next door restaurant. Overall, a clean nicely located hotel. Lovely helpful staff, a good breakfast served next door, nice bar where you can enjoy a glass of Mumms Champagne for €9.

Despite the almost constant rain , we were able to explore the area on foot, both origonal trams (28) and the new trams . We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff within the hotel were extremely helpful and very pleasant. the accommodation was very clean and comfortable and breakfast was very enjoyable , offering a great range of hot and cold food. Thank you. The transport system is excellent and very reasonable in price. Spoilt for choice with places to eat, again great quality and good value . The mercado de Ribiera and De Campo are excellent venues as is the Brasiliera cafe, Nicole and the restaurants and tapas places offering Fado evenings- particulary 'Chico'.

The staff are absolutely wonderful and always happy to help, making this one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in. I celebrated my 30th birthday here, and after a long day of exploring the city, I returned to a traditional Portuguese cake kindly arranged by the front office team. It was such a thoughtful touch and really shows how they go above and beyond to make guests feel special. I would 100% recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Lisbon 😊
• Connector63410242272 (10/5): Ideal stay! If in doubt book here. - I booked a VERY last minute trip to Lisbon and umm’ed and ahh’ed between this and another hotel. For context the other hotel was 3 stars, but was a little more expensive and had better reviews. I was concerned initially about the breakfast from what I’d read but personally I couldn’t fault it. Perhaps it helped that I visited in January when Lisbon isn’t as bus as most other months. There was enough selection, cold meats and cheeses, local pastries, some hot food, plenty of breads, spreads and then some cereals. You can have a hot drink made for you and brought to your table and you can order more if you’d like. I do usually see more juices but they only had water and orange juice. The room was small but it needn’t be any bigger when it’s just somewhere to sleep. They have hard mattresses so I guess this would depend on your preference. Plenty of pillows! Shower pressure and temperature is great! No trickling shower here. The bathroom is a good size too and enough space around the sink for toiletries. There was a small balcony overlooking the other apartments to the back if you’d like some fresh air but I only used the room to get ready and sleep then stayed out all day. No concerns with security. There’s an in room safe for all your valuables. There’s also an in room fridge with some stock in it if you want to purchase some water or Coca Cola, etc. There is a big bottle of water in the room on arrival so I used the fridge to cool this when I arrived. They also offer you a traditional custard tart and a port at reception which is a lovely touch. The receptionist was also very knowledgable and spoke excellent English. He gave tips on where to go which I took on board and couldn’t fault. They also provide a map and he talked me through all the different areas which was so helpful! Overall a lovely stay. The ONLY fault I could find was the sheet was too big for the duvet!

The booking was made in October, and the error was only discovered recently. I contacted the hotel to explain the situation and asked if there was any flexibility (changing the dates or cancelling so I could rebook the intended stay from 16 to 21 January). Unfortunately, the hotel declined to offer any assistance at all. I fully respect that hotels have policies, but I was disappointed by the complete lack of goodwill or customer‑focused service. This experience alone would make me hesitant to book again. Booking reference: …b68r I hope management will reconsider this case. I would gladly update this review if a reasonable solution can be found.

• Trip61074838204 (6/5): Lovely hotel that needs to take more security measures - While the hotel is lovely and well situated in an interesting part of the city, our experience was marred when someone entered our room through the window during a stormy night while we slept, despite our being on the second floor, and stole an iPhone and some jewelry. Unfortunately the hotel does not have outside cameras for security. This incident at the end of our vacation has left us very disturbed at the thought of what could have happened if one of us had woken up while the intruder was still in our room.

• 999henryc (8/5): Great Location and Value – Solid 4-Star Stay - I stayed at Behotel in Lisbon and overall had a good experience. The biggest highlight is definitely the location. It’s right in the heart of the city and was exactly where I wanted to be. I specifically wanted to stay in the Baixa neighborhood—it’s my favorite in Lisbon—but most hotels in the area were very expensive. This hotel was one of the most affordable options without sacrificing convenience, and I really appreciated that. The hotel itself is small, and the rooms are compact but functional. My room was clean and comfortable, with a decent-sized bathroom and a good shower. I didn’t have any issues with the room setup. The main reason I’m giving the hotel 4 stars instead of 5 is the air conditioning. During winter, they don’t run the AC, and the temperature is controlled centrally by the hotel. If you turn on the unit in your room, you only get heat, not cold air. I understand this is common in Europe, but I’m from Miami and used to sleeping in a very cold room—around 68°F—no matter the season. I wasn’t able to do that here. The good news is that the staff was very responsive. When I mentioned the AC situation, they immediately brought me a fan, which helped a lot. I opened the window for a bit, and between the fresh air and the fan, the room was comfortable and I slept really well. After that, the AC issue didn’t bother me anymore. The mattress and pillows weren’t the most comfortable, but for the price point, I didn’t expect luxury. They were fine for a short stay. Breakfast is served in the restaurant next door, which partners with the hotel. It was perfectly okay—not amazing, but a decent variety to get the day started. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful, and a nice bonus was that they put on the Real Madrid match in the bar area so my husband could watch the game. Overall, I think the hotel delivers exactly what it promises: a clean, well-located, affordable stay in a city that has become quite expensive. It checked most of our boxes, and I found it to be a good value for the price. If you’re looking for a reasonably priced, centrally located hotel that covers all the basics, Behotel is a solid choice.

• 379francesc (8/5): Lovely Lisbon - This hotel is in an excellent location. The rooms are quite good, small, but you only go there to sleep! Would've been nice to have a kettle in the room. Beds are comfortable. My reason for giving 4 stars instead of 5 is the fact that this hotel has neither a restaurant, nor a bar! On checking in we were told that the restaurant is accessed through 'the secret door', which led to the restaurant next door, which sadly wasn't big enough to cope with all the clients in the hotel; people were queueing up waiting for tables and indeed some people gave up and went to buy breakfast elsewhere, not very good when you've paid for B&B! There is a bar area, but unfortunately no actual bar! I would stay there again, but only if it was on a room only basis.

• TexasTravelCrazy (10/5): Checks all the boxes! - I cannot say enough positive things about this hotel. The front desk staff was the most friendly and helpful staff I have encountered in a long time. The lounge/bar area is stylish and comfortable. The room is beautiful with a comfortable bed. The location is perfect for walking and accessing the sites. The restaurant next door in very good. I had the breakfast included in my rate, and there were lots of choices.

• laurar705 (10/5): Right in the heart of Lisbon - The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are small, but you are in the heart of Lisbon. Step outside to restaurants and shopping. Sites are a short walk. There is a bar area to hang out, also. The beds are comfortable, and not too hard. There is a coffee maker in the room. The showers are great with excellent water pressure. The hotel is perfect to see Lisbon.

• Traveler820901 (10/5): Lovely hotel in superb central location - Super central location. Close to metro and trams. Walkable to railway stations for Cascais and Sinatra. Near tour meeting points. Superior room was large with big high pressure shower. Coffee machine but no kettle. Breakfast was tasty with lovely fruit and great bread & cakes. Delightful service. Would certainly stay again.
• Collecchia (9/5): Séjour à Lisbonne trés agréable - le personnel soit de l'hotel , soit du restaurant toujours à notre écoute L'emplacement central permet beaucoup de choses : emplettes dans les rues piétonnes , restauration auprés des multiples restaurants, transports par métro ,bus , train . promenades prés du port la difficulté pour pouvoir se garer en voiture , et la difficulté pour trouver le bon parking

• martyg751 (6/5): Ok - Arrived the room was very small cramped , the plug socket was hanging off the wall and the room looked extremely dated. We asked to upgrade to a longer room I had already checked booking.com so there was availability. We were told there was no availability which was strange. I asked to be informed when it became available. It never did. I had read on previous review sound prof room This was absolutely not the case and the music from other restaurants etc when on into the early hours. We where constantly asked to go into the restaurant by a promo guy even though we told him we are staying there Positives. It’s clean centrally located. But dated. Staff extremely cold and not welcoming.

The hotel itself was clean and well organised and the room was a good size for a city center hotel and this afforded great access to many restaurants, city sites and the station. Highly recommended.
