Miklin (7/5): - Room was nice and comfortable. Enjoyed view of the street below. Appreciated that there weren't random fees tacked onto our rate other than actual taxes. It's why we chose this hotel. Breakfast was OK and convenient but we were told it was included every day when we checked in. When we went to take coffee Saturday morning, the person working there told us it was NOT included on the weekend. That was unexpected.

Lisa (3/5): Great decor, but lacking some basics. - I liked the breakfast buffet. It had a good variety of foods. We have stayed here twice and each time the rooms were cold and the thermostat didn't work. The staff bought up a space heater to warm up the room. We had to move it around so the bathroom was warm enough to shower in. There were no lights that weren't spot lights in the room. Every light was a 75 watt bulb. that couldn't be dimmed This was such an inconvenience as each time we've stayed it's been for hospitalization or treatment . It would be very dangerous if I were to get sick . This will be the last time we're staying at the Inn at Great Neck.

The bathroom was colder than outside. To be able to shower, we had to turn on the hot water 20 minutes in advance in the bathroom to warm up the room a bit. How is it possible for a hotel in 2025 to heat rooms with electric heaters?! 😑

David (3/5): - The location is great, the staff has always been friendly, I have stayed here several times and will stay again. Specific to the room I stayed in the heat control went haywire. My wife set the thermostat to 63 before we went to bed, at 1:30am I woke up overheating. Checked the thermostat and it read 77 degrees with a setting of 63. I could not get the heat to turn off so I just shut it off completely and opened the door to the balcony to cool down the room. Lost a few hours of sleep. Other than that it was a nice stay.

974mayap (2/5): Terrible - During my stay, an open tab was placed on my card, resulting in several pending transactions. When I checked out, I settled my final bill in full and was clearly informed by your staff that the pending transactions were only pre-authorisations and would not be taken, and that they would be released back to my account. Despite this assurance, several of these pending amounts have now been fully deducted from my account, totalling several hundred pounds. This is completely unacceptable and has caused significant inconvenience. I have already had to spend time chasing this matter, and as of today, the funds have still not been credited back.

Mary (3/5): Never again staying here! I want a refund! - The property was decent. Semi central location which was good. The fact that the parking lot was valet only was not mentioned at all until check in. Parking on the street is meter parking and hardly anywhere to park forcing you to valet for additional cost! My room had the heat blasting and I could not get the temp to go down at all! In 3 hours it went from 82 degrees to 81 degrees! The extreme heat in the room made me feel sick and had me very uncomfortable! The hotel did not offer a new room or any other solution other than giving me a fan. The fan did nothing but push hot air around! The towels in the bathroom had long black hair on them which was totally disgusting and I could not use them!
Voyager633082 (6/5): Old and tired, but a great Sushi bar. - We came to the Inn at great neck in November for a few nights. We were attending a wedding in the neighborhood. The Decor is a bit dated, but all in all OK. The rooms were clean and comfortable. You have to take it for what it is, a hotel that’s been around for a long time. some front desk staff were very rude but the Valet and Bellmen were terrific. It seemed odd that there would be a sushi restaurant in the lobby, but I have to say the sushi was excellent!

Christian (6/5): Très moyen pour un 4 étoiles - La literie J’ai fortement apprécié la gentillesse du veilleur de nuit , pas celui de la réception, mais bien le veilleur de nuit qui m’a spécialement préparé du café à 4 heures du matin rien que pour moi et mon épouse, il etait vraiment très gentil, félicitations ! Pendant la réservation, il etait bien précisé : Chambre King avec balcon. Selon les dire de l’hôtel, booking a oublier de réserver « avec balcon » mais simplement une chambre « King », par conséquent je n’ai pas eu de balcon parce que l’hôtel n’en n’avait plus de disponible, ça m’a fortement déçu ! La fenêtre n’était pas en état d’être fermée, ça bloquait, donc j’ai du dormir avec celle-ci ouverte toute la nuit avec seulement 2 degrés. La télévision ou la télécommande ne fonctionnait pas, j’ai demandé qu’ils viennent en changer les plies mais ça n’a rien changé, il a dit qu’il allait revenir plus tard. Environ une heure plus tard quelqu’un est venu mais la tv refonctionnait déjà, parce que entre-temps j’ai tiré la prise et je l’ai remise, ça a réinitialisé celle-ci. Si je n’avais pas eu cette initiative, on aurait été plus d’une heure sans TV à regarder le mur. Les membres de la réception, tous autant qu’ils sont, ne sont pas très aimables, le stricte minimum est suffisant et on sent qu’ils n’ont rien à faire de vous ni de vos « problèmes « , comme pour la chambre sans balcon, « je n’ai plus de chambre avec balcon disponible, je n’ai plus de chambre avec balcon disponible……….. »

Bravo Pizza across the street was pretty good but a large pizza with 2 toppings $37..the room.. sheets had a big stain on them front and center. train goes by all night right outside the window. heat was way too hot with no way to adjust it. We set to a/c then were comfortable. We elevator got stuck twice, one time with ten people on board. pushed alarms with no response. door finally opened on its own after a few minutes of panic. stairs did not lead to lobby. lights were off in the stairwell..exits into garage. Cars are valet only. Anyway, we slept fairly good despite the issues. Breakfast was decent. Potatoes and bacon were crispy, eggs weren’t dry. The staff was friendly.

clarissan2013 (8/5): comfortable stay at the Inn - I just got back from another comfortable stay at the Inn at Great Neck . I stayed 4 nights and was , once again, reminded why I always choose the Inn when coming to town. The room was comfortable...from the bed to the pillows to the spacious bathroom and strong hot shower /bathtub combo. big TV and free breakfast on weekdays...coffee in lobby every morning, bottled water in room every day, working fridge, friendly front desk personnel and clean rooms maintained daily by excellent housekeeping staff. The negatives are my safe was broken ( although I did not really need it so it was fine) and the room was rather dark although I had requested a bright room on a high floor, but they did have a large group of wedding guests and were fully booked. The rooms are showing some wear and could use some freshening up...but everything is functional. I had requested a front facing room but received a side facing one..,.which was ok but not my favorite. still, all in all , I feel like the Inn gets it mostly right and for the price you can't do better if you are staying in the area.

Gregory (10/5): Excellent location to stay at while spouse is in the local hospital. - The valet car service was excellent, efficient and friendly. Housekeeping was also excellent. The front desk was very accommodating. Breakfast selections. Hard boiled eggs would have been a better option. No honey was provided.

The customer service was A1 and the rooms were perfect. My room was completely up to date. The food at Marco Polo was great and Chris, the bartender was amazing. No complaints
